We have been to Bali many many times and this resort, the Alantara is by far the best and most beautiful Balienese styled rssort we have ever stayed in. The pool area is gorgeous, the Restaurant is fantastic, the buffet breakfast the best we have had from all over the world. The staff are so caring, they knew us by name, it doesn’t get much better than this resort. They have entertainment at night which was also fabulous when you want a night on. Thank your top notch service 🙏

Amazing stay! The grounds are beautiful! Location is perfect, away from the main area but the hotel have a shuttle there and back. The food and drinks were lovely. The staff are fabulous - making us feel super welcome and taking the time to get to know us even over a short stay - they are a true asset to the hotel!

The hotel is very lovely. Staff are lovely and helpful. Its a bit out of the way but nice and quiet. The pool area is gorgeous. What i didn't like, paid for a very expensive buffet style dinner one evening, that turned out to be nothing more than cold satay sticks and rice and cake. Very poor value for 350000. Also paid my final bill and was charged a 10 dollar transaction fee....will need to follow-up with them rewarding that ..

Nice, clean and quiet hotel tucked away from the town centre of Sanur but with a free shuttle bus that takeiyou straight to the heart of Sanur center every other hour. From there the beach is about an eight minute walk. Dining options could be more varied. Enjoyed the themed evenings. Good quiet pool area well stocked with towels with a choice of seating ie day beds or loungers. Would be good to provide more bottles of water ( also had trouble opening a few of the bottles) as you cannot drink the tap water in Bali. The spa is great and we had a few treatments there ( It would be an even better ambience if they provided relaxing aromatherapy scents (candles or incense ) in the treatment rooms themselves. The entrance area smells divine and nice if this was carried through. Overall a good place to stay and all the staff are polite, warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a fortnight at the Alantara and enjoyed the tranquil setting around the pool which is surrounded by tropical greenery. The vegetarian options provided by the staff at the restaurant are also fabulous and the staff are very welcoming, a special mention to Febry who is a gem! Very friendly, warm and welcoming she greeted us by our first names each morning, she really manages the restaurant area very well. We enjoyed the cultural dance evenings and all the staff at the Pesisi are thoughtful and made specially cooked vegetarian meals for us. The staff make every effort to ensure you have a good stay. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but there is a free shuttle provided every other hour which takes you straight into the town. We highly recommend staying here for your next holiday.😊

Lovely property, we very much enjoyed our stay. The shuttle to near the beach was good. A pity this resort isnt closer to the beach as there is not much within walking distance and on the other side of a busy road.
But we knew that when we went there and the resort itself was beautiful and everything really nicely done.

We stayed for a week. Everything about the time we spent at the hotel was 5star. Breakfast is excellent, by the pool. The swimming pool is lovely and calm. there were sunbeds available everyday. We got a Gojek in the evening to go to a restaurant. There's a couple close by that are good for lunch but much more choice in Sanur itself. Staff were exceptional, room thoroughly cleaned every day.

TLDR: Food and service were fantastic, small pool area but comfortable, close to the beach, rooms could be nicer depending on how much you care about it.

The Alantara Sanur has fantastic service and food. I really appreciated that the breakfast food changed day to day, it was also delicious. We also had dinner at the resort twice, once with their set menu for the busker night. The resort offered a free shuttle to go down near the beach for free, but we ended up using Grab to go to some places we found for dinner and happy hour which was very cheap. We rode to the resort via hotel arranged transportation and went back to the airport using Grab as well. This hotel has a program where they teach (?) or allow students to get hospitality experience, which it seems that the staff are incredibly attentive. The hotel is family friendly in general, although the pool area is fairly small (maybe ~ 30 people comfortably?) so two families with kids kind of takes up a lot of space. It’s a beautiful area though and my mom and I spent a lot of time in the pool. I didn’t personally think the rooms were that clean, the sheets and pillows seem old and have a yellowish tint to them and had small stains and the shower water smelled a little bit, though my mom didn’t seem to care.

On our 12 nights in Bali between Seminyak, Ubud and Sanur, I can comfortably call this hotel my favourite.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with the outdoor shower a revelation.

Breakfast had many options that changed daily and the pool was lovely.

A shuttle into the centre for free is a nice touch and yes the hotel isnt central but a taxi cost the equivalent of £1.20 and was worth it for the peace, quiet and safety.

If we ever passed through Bali again, this is where we'd stay

For us, the highlight of this hotel was the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home and were always happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was quite comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and offers both Asian and western options. We especially enjoyed the noodle soup and all the different juices and fresh fruits that were available. The pool was a great way to relax and cool off, although it gets somewhat crowded during the day, so we mostly visited in the early morning or evening. The hotel definitely seems safe and is in a quiet area. You can easily get a Grab pickup, so there are no issues with getting around, and there are restaurants within walking distance for variety.

I would stay again. If I needed to stay in the city to be close to the airport. It took approx 20 min from the airport to the hotel. And that coat approx $30.USD

Value for money and how lovely the hotel is compensated for it being out of the main area. There is a free hotel shuttle into Sanur. Love the peaceful and serene vibe of this resort. Staff was helpful and friendly and very genuine. My husband had issue with the safe setting and they immediately turned up to help when we called. All the services was quite prompt. Room was comfortable and nicely equipped with all the necessities. Only comment is that water will sip out from toilet during shower to the room. Just due to the design of the bathroom door. And shuttle bus could perhaps be improved to hourly instead of every two hours. Spa and massage is highly recommended too.

I don’t have enough good things to say about my stay here. Travelling solo as a woman in Bali, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but the staff at this property made me feel so safe and welcomed. The hospitality here is truly unmatched and the place itself is gorgeous. Rooms are very clean, staff are courteous and respectful, pool is amazing, food is great.. It’s a great stay. The free shuttle to the city centre/Sanur Beach is awesome and runs every 2 hours from 9am-9pm- which is wonderful. Huge shout out to one of the sweetest, most hospitable staff members, Ita, who not only made my stay very memorable and fun but also taught me so much about Balinese traditions and culture. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a wonderful resort. Fantastic staff, all super helpful, attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent, breakfast was fantastic and we really appreciated the complimentary afternoon tea. The cultural night and the acoustic Performances were terrific for an evening in. The accompanying buffets were delicious. The pool is so clean and fresh and was the centre of many of our activities. Our room was was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable. Our room was spotless and very well appointed- the gardens and grounds were lush and beautifully maintained. The spa was a divine indulgence, brilliant and offered a range of treatments with first class service. The 2 Hourly shuttle to town was very convenient for popping into the town centre and returning to enjoy the comforts of the resort. This was a much needed relaxation and wind down holiday and the Alantara and staff provided all that we needed. I really liked having the cat and I love that the staff care for them. I loved everything about the Alantara and would return in a heartbeat.

This little boutique hotel is a real gem. Stayed there 2x on my visit to Bali before moving to another part of the island. Although not directly on the beach, it was a real pleasure to stay here. The staff could not have been nicer or accomodating. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The room was absolutely beautiful, down to the burgundy and gold bath robes. I stayed in a suite and a regular room and both were very nice. Only one thing, wish there was international channels on the TV. Will definitely stay here again!

I was in Bali with my family for a wedding. I stayed in Alantara for 4 nights in a \"suite\" which included a bath tub and an outdoor shower.

Overall the hotel is beautiful and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant is good, but not great. The gym is a bit dated, but is good enough. The hotel also has a spa which is nice.

When first arriving at the hotel I thought we'd gone the wrong place. It is on a small street in a residential neighborhood. It isn't close to the beach, but offers a free hourly shuttle bus. We used it to go to restaurants and shops, but never went to the beach. We had no problem finding good restaurants nearby.

We did a few day trips to the Bali Zoo, Bali Bird Park, and Bali Reptile Park (the kids like animals...) and they were all within 30 minute taxi ride from the hotel.

Very nice property, except sound was a problem. Very loud music and shows made it difficult with a child as the music would go until 10PM most nights. Being right near the pool, we could hear everything form outside in our room, be it kids in the pool or adults sitting around the pool at night listening to the music.

Location wise was not the easiest to walk to anything either. Needed to have a car-moto-or rely on shuttle.

Food was good flavour and variety, but I got food poisoning that kept me in the room for a full day.

The staff were very nice and chatty. The setting is pleasant and off the main road so pretty quiet. Rooms were clean. Nice little touches like a welcome drink and flowers and fruit. The spa treatment was good. Menu was good. The airport transfer was good. The only thing that annoyed me about the hotel was the other guest’s lack of manners/ consideration when using the pool. (This is not the staff’s fault). The pool is central and most rooms look on to it, the restaurant looks on to it, and the only bar is the double sided swim up bar, so if there are squealing people in the pool you can’t get away from them.

A very nice hotel located at a very quiet area although not far from the hotel there is a very busy road.
Not located near the beach but it's not that far. Superb service, new hotel with a traditional sphere.
Rooms are very nice, not that many rooms but the rooms they have are big and very clean.
The water in the shower sometimes gives a foul odor but after a while it's ok.

We stayed at the Alantara during our last few days in Bali and couldn't have ended it on a better note. The staff is phenomenal. The staff always went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. The hotel has a lot to offer. We were lucky and spent New Years Eve with hotel and their new year festivities. The hotel room was great! The air condition was superb, the rooms were extremely clean, and ever amenity we could need was offered. The shuttle to the city center of Sanur was helpful as the hotel was in a peaceful location yet still had quick access to city center.

Good location. Very quiet area for Sanur.
All noise stops at 9 pm. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. Very pleasing.
Little things could be a bit hit and miss but I think it was due language problems. Breakfast great, but would recommend only for breakfast in the hotel. Staff very nice and friendly, the greatest asset if this little hotel.
On the whole really good pleased with our stay.

The staff there is excellent. The front office staff was able to arrange all of our transportation needs, booked spa for my wife. They were extremely friendly and worked hard.

The restaurant staff were great, food was excellent and priced well, with plenty of selection.

Our driver to the airport was very friendly and personable. We appreciated the ride with him.

We stayed in a suite, which I recommend. Large, has a nice outdoor shower, very modern.

Sanur is a nice quiet area with a beach, lots of restaurants and bars, shops, and best access to snorkeling/diving areas.

4 nights was too long here. The Alantara had the infrastructure but unfortunately lacks the service. The room was nicely done if a little on the small size. Breakfast was off a menu that's gets a little boring and the service was hit and miss... means going to the wrong tables, wrong coffees, forgotten orders etc. even when not busy.
The Beach Club is not a club but is 6 sun loungers reserved for guests on the local beach... that's it. There is an hourly shuttle back and forth but only takes 5 doo if its full you must wait for a second service that can delay you 15-30 mins.
Our biggest issue was with some laundry we left in where two pairs of trousers and some underwear came back ruined. We only received 50% compensation and a complimentary dinner which they then argued at check out!
Prices have now gone up here and it's not worth it... keep looking... there is better out there.

Awesome Balinese Boutique Hotel Sanur

Wow from the moment we arrived at the hotel the service was impeccable.We were greeted with smiles and welcome drink and sandwich as we arrived close to midnight. Our room was a suite and did not disappoint so clean , comfortable bed and pillows, a large bath 2 showers ( 1 outside in a small court yard garden). Daily complementary bar fridge with 2 beers and 4 sodas and 4 waters. Free wifi throughout the resort. Breakfast range was excellent cooked to order with no buffet. A perfect way to start the day. Freshly pressed Fruit juices and choice of pastries .The facilities are excellent with beautiful gardens and pool area , well equipped gym and spa treatments which are reasonable.Complimentary Afternoon tea by the pool was also a pleasant surprise. Sunbeds provided to relax were situated around the clean pool and close to the pool bar and facilities and never far from attentive staff that were discreet and attentive without being invasive. No hard sell at all if anything it is the Hotel that kept giving. No expectations from staff for tipping and service was always given with sincerity and a smile.Return free 10 minute shuttle service into Sanur with free sunbeds on the beach.
Special mention to the following staff reception Manik ,Aditya and Riska . In the restaurant Sukreni who were very efficient and attentive.The private taxi to the airport was only $21 Australian dollars again reasonable. I would highly recommend a stay at this resort and will return.

Very comfortable and great staff

I just spent 4 nights at the Alantara and would have liked to stay longer. I liked that it was small, and in a very quiet location. The pool was lovely, the food was good,a and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. It's an easy 15 minute walk to the beach and shops, and a $2 taxi ride back, or you can take the hotel shuttle.

Great friendly staff that goes the extra mile.

Extremely great room. Love the size, the dressing table is very complete. Great attention to details. Extremely nice bath tub facing an outdoor shower and really very meticulously decorated even for the outdoor shower. I love the attention to detail this hotel puts in. including bubble bath and salt baths. Also they make you feel really welcome with a letter addressed to you upon arrival as well as a welcome basket. Very lovely pool and great activities which I enjoyed such as watching the traditional angklung performance. The breakfast is also extremely great with lovely presentation. I wanted to eat the traditional babi guling and the staff dropped me off at the famous local store on the way in the shuttle.

Beautiful setting but need to improve on service.

We chose the hotel because of the high ratings but felt that it did not meet up the high standard expected. The service at breakfast was slow and orders were mixed up. The restaurant was mediocre and prices high, especially with a 21% service charge added. The shuttle service to the beach was erratic and on five occasions the car did not turn up at the scheduled time. There were only six beds available on the beach so in the busy season you would not get a bed unless you were there on the first run. On the plus, the staff were as helpful as they could be. The suites were very comfortable and the bed and linen were excellent. Some nice touches like complimentary water and one beer per person. However a water filter would cut down on the volume of plastic bottles. The crazy paving around the resort was uneven and when it rained got very muddy. The spa was beautiful but overpriced. The hotel has great potential and they are still learning but I don't think they have reached the high standard they obviously have set out to achieve. There was a lack of management up front and although staff were very apologetic, things did not always get actioned. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, but when choosing this hotel you should be aware it is not in the centre and you need to rely on taxis to get around. Fabulous swimming pool which is the feature of the resort.

Everything is BEST here!!! Hotel staff, room amenities, cleanliness, pool everything is BEST! I highly recommend this hotel. Location is nearby to beach and nearby to local market. Restaurant is quite expensive in this property... It was a very pleasant stay here for us.

An incredibly nice boutique hotel. Design and service are outstanding. It has a traditional balinese feel, but what makes it even better is the service. Everyone is just so nice. Go for the suite, the outside shower and room are just fabulous.

Hôtel agréable dans le centre de Sanur. Chambre grande et propre avec douche extérieure, ce qui est parfait à Bali. Service très aimable, souriant et efficace. Le petit déjeuner même s’il est complet est moyen et répétitif, avec toutefois un garçon qui nous prépare les œufs comme il faut ! Facile d’aller à la plage et les restaurants de Sanur en prenant la navette ou un Grab car pour un €uro
