Nice hotel, exceptional service. Food for both lunch and dinner was very good. Nice breakfast but chaotic, not enough tables, staff serve coffee, which means you wait and only one man on the egg station. Roof top bar and pool are great. Art work round the hotel is interesting.
Disappointed we got a room on the ground floor with balcony which looked onto a brick wall.

This is an amazing hotel! From the staff, to the ever changing delicious breakfast buffet every morning, to the large spacious modern room. Everything was perfect! Area is very walkable, close to shops, restaurants and just minutes from the beach. Would highly recommend!

Hotel is well located. About 3-5 min walk from the beach. Very comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again if in Sanur area. Got the room facing the main road so it was a little noisy sometimes from the car horning but other than that perfect place to stay.

Arrived into Bali at 10.30pm and was heading to Nusa Lembongan next day so just needed an overnight stay.
ARTOTEL was perfect option not too far from Sanur Port.
Excellent and comfortable rooms with great roof top pool.

This was \"THE NOISIEST\" Hotel we have stayed in over the past 35 years. There was continuous noise ALL day from the kitchen to the roof top bar. Doors opening and closing all hours of the early morning, day and night. Guests walking to their rooms and door noise was made louder due to the Hotel being open in the centre of the building which echoed throughout and was LOUD. The design of the Hotel is a BIG mistake which causes the noise. I would never stay again or recommend this Hotel to friends, there are plenty of other Hotels close by. The staff were very friendly but the noise was ridiculously consistent all day, every day (we stayed 7 days). If we hadn’t paid in full upfront, we would have changed Hotels after 2 days.

The Artotel was just great from the moment we arrived were greeted by friendly helpful staff on reception. The rooms were lovely a really good size and very clean, all areas of the hotel were spotless really staff were cleaning from first thing on a morning till night. Great breakfast every morning plenty of choice, lovely pool and bar on the hotel roof nice place to chill out. great location too lots of shops bars and restaurants all round the hotel and just a short walk to the beach we will certainly stay here again

The Artotel, Sanur Bali hotel is literally a work of art. The staff were helpful and friendly. The dine in options and food quality meant we didn't didn't venture out for meals. The room was large, spacious and super clean.
The hotel is not on Sanur beach which is a 3 minute walk away at the end of the street. If you can live without ocean views from your room, this hotel is the place to stay.

The staff could not do enough for us, they where always friendly and always seemed to be cleaning the hotel.
Was noisy with doors closing through our the night waking myself and baby, maybe some rubber stoppers be fitted to prevent this.

Brilliant placed close to the beach, brilliant design and we loved the building. Rooms have great Artwork and are really funky. Breakfast is buffet with a great offering of options, staff are so lovely and caring. We had massages in the Hotel, they were excellent and it’s a beautiful room and girls were fantastic. A must!!!! We stayed 4 nights and would recommend staying there. Lots too restaurants close and beach is a fun place to visit.

Beautiful property. Lush with greenery. Beautiful breakfast area and nice breakfast. Stayed one night but can see it’s within walking distance to many nice shops and modern looking restaurants. Did not like that you can hear children, footsteps, work, trucks at night. Earplugs help.

I totally LOVED this place. It's artsy fartsy, everything is clean, the people and staff there speaks great english, super attentive and is great.

Although the spa may not have as a super high class vibe as certain places, our consultant was Koh Ming (unsure how to spell), and was really good! Had a discound as an expedia member and I'm so glad we came here while our friends went to Glo Sanur for massage and was disappointed there.

The food was also awesome, we wondered why we even went to other parts of Bali to eat local food.

I like the location and the place is very clean with a very friendly staff, wifi very good, breakfast ok. I like the pool but the area around the pool needs to be completely updated. There is no or very little shade. the whole area around the pool should be covered with what the Australian call \"SHADE CLOTH\". At present no matter what you will get sunburn. I think someone should pass that on to the Hotels Management.
In general everything else is ok.

Hotel is in a great location for Sanur, easy walking distance to dining, beach, and shopping.

Hotel was very clean and nice rooms, however the one thing it could improve on was the timeliness of service. Whether it be serving food, serving coffee, checking rooms on checkout, they all were just very slow and sometimes forgotten after asking multiple times at breakfast. The evening service was better but the morning services need to improve.

Overall though, that wouldn’t stop me from staying again as all staff are very friendly and the hotel itself was very nice.

Lovely hotel, great staff.
Our room, a studio 30 was a reasonable size for 2 people. We had a great bathroom and a small balcony.
The common areas are gorgeous, beautifully decorated. The pool is lovely and as it is on the rooftop, it gets quite hot in the middle of the day. We were told it gets too windy to put up and shade or umbrellas. There is a tiny area in the shade if you get there early. It’s a great space for a sunset swim.
Breakfast was extensive and the freshly cooked egg station was lovely.
The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk to the beach.
Happy to recommend.

I found Artotel Sanur on Facebook during Covid and decided I had to stay here on my next Bali trip, even though I normally stay in Seminyak. Pretty good value and I'd stay again.
Pros:
* Close to the airport. The Mandira Toll Road was only around Rp15,000 to use, but shaved 30 minutes off the trip.
* Close to the beach and numerous eateries, yet still quiet.
* Breakfast buffet was tasty and plenty of options, both Asian and Western.
* Hotel team friendly and helpful. There was a problem with my door key reader, which was sorted out within 15 minutes.
* Small balcony off the back ideal for drying swimwear or dive gear before flying home.
* Gorgeous interior that felt more like a gallery than a hotel. Love the staircase!
* Get a room at the back for stunning sunrise Mt Agung views. 😃

Opportunities:
* Water refills given but you have to ask at reception or restaurant. Why not put dispensers on each floor to encourage water consumption and also avoid creating busy work for the restaurant team when we can self service? Especially when the team *were* busy during service, based on the backlog of empty glassware stacked on the service bar area.
* Coffee pods and small toiletry bottles aren't eco friendly, but then drinking water is provided in reusable glass bottles. Not so eco friendly.
* The rooftop pool doesn't have any shade. It is flaming hot up there. The upstairs bar didn't have water, I had to trek to the ground floor restaurant. Water and shade needed.

Hotel is nicely designed, love the artsy vibes. Pool is nice too. However, it gets kind of dark at night there's no light in the building and limited lights outside the room. Room likewise is also dark when is at night with all lights on, the designs can be improved to make it brighter perhaps.
Location is good nearby there are food and a short walk to the beach .

The staff are terrific: fun, friendly and helpful. Room looking a little tired - scuffed paintwork, chipped tiles, bathroom sink drainage very slow. More detail to attention is needed when servicing the room; on a few occasions I had to ask for towels, replacement coffee pods, shower gel... Good coffee and omelettes at breakfast, but could do with some healthier cereal options than the sugar-laden varieties on offer. Dinner with friends in the hotel restaurant was good quality and reasonably-priced. The rooftop pool area is very pleasant and generally peaceful during the day. The location is very convenient for local shops, restaurants, bars and massage/beauty salons, the beach is a 5-minute walk at the end of the road, and another 5-10 minutes walk north presents a selection of good beachside restaurants.

Pool area has very limited shade, step ladder from pool is rusty and unstable. Wooden decking is needing repair (dried split wood with broken sections) Pool had scum a nbd mould around entire edge of pool.

Shower pressure in my room was weak and intermittent and water pressure was weak. Mould around seal of basin and bench.

Nightly music entertainment with no one in the bar other than staff was loud and unwanted.

I would not recommend this hotel to families, people wanting to relax in or around a pool or those looking for a restful and peaceful hotel.

Overall the stay is good, except two things. Firstly, the internet connection is very poor, it drops out automatically every 5 minutes. I complained to the front desk but did not improve. It can be very frustrating. Secondly, as previous reviewers mentioned, it’s noise at night because of the live music at the restaurant until 10 pm. If these two things are not your concerns, it is recommended to stay at this hotel as the location is very convenient.

Beach towels only available at beach club which is about 30 minutes on foot or a short drive away. Beach is just a few steps away, though. Breakfast is excelllent. The hotel itself was wonderful, there were little touch ups needed here and there, but the view from the top deck and pool alone were worth it. Not to mention the fantastic rooms and wonderful spa services. Definitely recommend taking advantage of their great spa specials and their wonderful breakfast. Customer service was outstanding!

On first view the hotel presented very well. It is an interesting concept and still quite new, about 2 years old. Its situation is great, within 2 mins of the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The major issue was the very poor service and lack of guest consideration.
The only problem with the building design was the noise. In a third floor room the noise from the ground floor resaurant and the fifth floor bar was intrusive. The main issue was staff inflexibility and poor service. The buffet breakfast regularly ran out of items. No floor manager was on hand to organise replacement. My room was poorly cleaned and one day not cleaned at all until requested at 5.0 pm. The 5th floor bar was closed to accomodate Muslim end of fast prayer sessions but guests were not informed. The advertise specials were not honoured in the ground floor bar. The restaurant offered live music whicch was so intrusive guests could not talk to each other. Requests to staffto lower the volume were met with “sorrynot possible” This was a common aspect, with staff being unable to accomodate reasonable guest requests.

When we arrived at 3.30pm our room wasnt ready despite check in being 2pm. We had stayed there the night before in a different room as we had originally booked 1 night but our plans changed and we needed another room but couldnt book the same room.
Building work is on going next door 24/7. Noisy.
The swimming pool only has a few sunbeds, get there early..views of building works from the pool. Pool wcs out of service.
Our bathroom floor had been cleaned, but wouldn't dry all night and smelled like it jaf had been cleaned with urine. Awful. Breakfast ok if you want indonesian food. No good for international travellers. No consistency. Croissants one day, none the next.. waited ages for coffee to be served. Ordered cooked eggs and was given some previously cooked and not collected by person who ordered them.
Hotel is NOT on the beach dont mix this up with Arthotel Beach Resort.
My advice....stay elsewhere. There are loads of better choices

Distinctive styling, great staff and convinent locatoin, very nice breakfast. Nearby beach wasn't a nicest one though.

Excellent stay at ARTOTEL Sanur

Great hotel, particularly considering what we paid. Location in Sanur is very convenient. Hotel itself is architecturally interesting, with cool art. Room was large and comfortable. Rooftop pool is big enough to swim laps in. Breakfast was included and is very fresh with a good selection. We would go back!

All staff tries their very best to ensure your stay is pleasant from the Receptionist to the Engineering department. I had some issues with the hot water in the shower, which was totally my fault but my inquiry was immediately attended to. The crew at the breakfast cafe was excellent! They were friendly yet professional in their approach, recommended local food to sample out and served my daily latte :)

Highly recommend this cool hotel

This is a great boutique hotel - clean and comfortable with amazing staff. The roof top pool was really cool and an awesome place to relax. Room service was delicious and quick.
