Stayed for 3 nights to visit Verona for first time. RE was a good choice because it is close to all attractions covered by the Verona Card.
Room and bath was clean with daily room service. Breakfast has sufficient variety and coffee to order. Staff was quite attentive and efficient.
Both receptionist were very kind and helpful. Can’t ask for anything else.

We had room facing Corso Porta Nuova which is quite busy as it is close to the Arena and a school (university campus). Since the heater was on, the room was quite warm. The only option was to open the window. Note that it gets noisy until after 10:30-11:00pm. But we were able to get good sleep with the window opened.
Thank you to staff of Relais Empire, we were able to enjoy Verona to its fullest.

Because our itinerary was booked, we did not have time for the breakfast but this hotel overall was one of the coolest places we stayed. Loved the details of the curtains marching throughout the hotel and the beautiful details with the bowls and vases placed throughout. The staff were lovely and we loved the accommodation and our little balcony. Since it was in a historical building it felt like we were in a movie set with the gates. Highly recommend.

Pipework in bathroom slightly noisy and needs seeing to.
Suggest bigger sign on downstairs security door asking guests to close gently as regularly slammed during the night.

Had a fabulous short stay here. Room was ready when we arrived at 10.30am and the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful in giving us information on the local area. Staff were always pleasant and polite. Lovely breakfast. We also had an early check out but they still made us a great cuppa before going and gave us some take away bags for us to fill with pastries for our journey.

Very convenient location for visiting all the local attractions and less than a 10 minute walk to the bus and train station.

Would definitely recommend!!

We were so pleased with this hotel. This is the best hotel we have stayed in Italy so far!! The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The room was gorgeous and even much nicer than the photos indicate. We were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is extremely well taken care of and hosts the best breakfast we have had on this trip! With vegan and gluten-free options, delicious coffee, hot and cold choices (I loved the build-your-own muesli station). You can also book spa sessions. Elevator works well. Good hotel if you can get past the outside doors

Very difficult to get into the hotel, which is situated in a courtyard behind some locked wooden doors with very little signage. Could not find the hotel door bell or any intercom. Had to ring the door bell of another property who then telephoned the hotel to let us in.

The location is close enough to the train station to walk there easily and close enough to the city center for walking there as well. The room was comfortable and spacious. 1. Location is perfect: few minutes walk from train station and also few minutes walk to the Arena where at night nearby restaurants with outside seating's turn the piazza into a lively interesting place to walk, seat and eats.
2. Hotel is secure with double entrance doors & floors access by tenants in that floor only.
3 It's a heat wave in mid June and Air Conditioning make the stay comfortable.
4. Our room floor is not quite clean that why I gave it a 4.

Very impressed with this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the room was really big and really well decorated, with plenty of sockets, the breakfast was excellent and it was in a very good location too. Close to the main city centre and to the station, making it convenient for both, I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet included bacon, scrambled eggs, mini sausages, various pastries, gluten free options and all the standard continental offering too.

As a Brit I really appreciate being able to get bacon and eggs in the morning and it's far from a given in most of Europe so I wanted to highlight that in this hotel it's worth getting up for the included breakfast

The room and the breakfast were excellent!! Staff was very helpful and courteous. Only criticism we had was that Corso Porta Nuova is the Main Street into the town, and very noisy with even Harley motorcycles and ambulances during the night. The city hadn’t authorized turning on the AC yet, so you could only open the window. We went the end of April/beginning of May and it was quite warm already, and we did not sleep that well with the noise - would recommend a room off the main street. Otherwise, the hotel was fantastic!! So close to everything!

Shower was great and bed really comfy, despite being next to main road, the glazing on the windows was so good we couldn’t hear the traffic. Couldn’t seem to get the air con to work in our room and woke up at 2am rather warm so opened the window, that was the only issue!

The hotel, once inside, was lovely. It was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly and very helpful (particular thanks to Milka for pointing out the places of interest to us on a map and to Joaquin for looking after us at breakfast!)
We walked up and down the street a few times and googled photos of the exterior of the hotel before finding it! The downstairs courtyard wasn’t a great look and it’s not clear where to go. But up the stairs to the first floor (or take the lift) and you are at reception. The hotel was very clean and well presented. Our room was spacious and the power shower was fabulous. The air conditioning was welcome as it was still warm in October. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no milk was provided so we bought some from the local shop. There wasn’t a bottle opener in the room either but we were able to borrow one from reception. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Relais Empire. We explored a lot so the train station was handy being only a 10 minute walk away. Piazza Bra was only a short walk in the opposite direction so the hotel is well placed for exploring Verona and nearby cities.

The location and condition of this hotel was outstanding. The staff were delightful, especially Veronica, who during check-in made us tea and coffee and sat us down with a map and charted out must see features of Verona. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it heartily, but would only recommend a court-side room and not a street side room due to the street noise.

On the negative side, our room was a bit too warm even with the thermostat turned down to 60 F, and opening the window brought in an all-night cacophony that was only exceeded by the cigarette smoke.

This hotel was a major disappoint. A very uncomfortable room that was boiling hot with heat that could not be tamed. We called down to the front desk for an iron... 30 minutes later and it still did not come. We gave up. The breakfast buffet, easily the worst I have ever had in Europe. I’m surprised it didn’t make us sick. Great location with a reasonable price point and very friendly staff but don’t stay here. Don’t do it.

We had a view of the main street puorta nuovo. 10-15 minute walk from the train station, maybe 20 minutes if you walk slow.
5-10 minute walk into town and all main attractions are very close. Breakfast included eggs, meats, cheese, pastries, sausage/bacon, juice, cappuccino, toast, cereals. Was decent. For the price, I cannot complain of the stay. I like something a little more high end so may stay elsewhere next time I'm in town. But overall was okay.

I like the way they renovated this property. They retained the old character but with modern amenities inside. The staff are very friendly, helpful and honest. I dropped my purse and didn’t realise it until the receptionist handed it to me when I went to the dining room the following day. That’s the kind of staff the employer must kept and rewarded for their har work. Keep up the good work and hope that your business will thrive.
The location is very nice place to all places of interest. I highly recommend this place.
