This property, with a beautiful view in all directions, was exactly what I was looking for. Check in was easy, the room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and charmingly spartan. It was very basic, and I found that perfectly appropriate considering we were so very close to the basilica of St. Francis. All I needed was a restful place to stay at night, so I could be out exploring all that Assisi has to offer during the day. This property provided that, along with a friendly, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my stay.

A quiet option to stay in Assisi, the room was clean with a spacious bathroom, the view from the room is amazing. The continental breakfast is good. The hotel is located some metres away from San Francisco’s cathedral. The WiFi signal was poor in the room.

This a no-frill accommodation that has a nice location--about 5 minutes walk from Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, 10 minutes to the St. Francis Basilica, and about 10-15 minutes from the town square.
The price was fair and that included a continental breakfast.
I would recommend the hotel provide larger fans or at least an extension cord so one can use the small fan provided.

Good place to stay - Dinner was dissapointing

Quiet and clean place. Breakfast is continental. Dinner is plentiful but not great tasting. The local folks get preference during dinner, in our case, the staff served the best desserts to the local folks and gave us cream puffs after all the good desserts had been served to others, it was obvious that they give preference to the town's people.

A NIGHTMARE

The hotel was a hostel for kids and teens, the room was tiny, no A/C, no TV, no wi/fi, no internet, window blinds would open but could not close them, had to ask someone at reception to see what the problem was, the shower was so small that I could barely wash myself without hitting the shower stall, the bathroom overflowed, I asked to change room and it was like it went in one ear and out the other. The room was on the 3 rd floor, I had to walk up two flight of stairs, take the elevator to the second floor and then walk up another flight of stairs to the room. Most Horrible experience, I would not recommend it to my worst enemy !

Beautiful view of Assisi and valley from my cozy room with firm mattress. Kind receptionist arranged for a taxi for me to Eremo di Carceri and they even gave me a great breakfast-to-go bag because I was leaving early in the morning.

Stayed across street in another building from check in. Bathroom tile in shower had mold and mildew between many of the tiles and above shower and in need of deep cleaning. Shower size smaller than a phone booth and plastic used curtain stuck to you during shower. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Laid on blankets for padding to sleep. Zero sound proofing. You and hear all 4 sides up and down fine details of all surrounding bathroom use, all human body noises and crystal clear voices amplified. Bare bones Breakfast of yogurt bread cereal milk coffee juice. Would not return as many other hotels in Assisi.

It seems the hotel was designed for pilgrims and then expanded to overall public. Bed was confortable, the room wasn't big, the window's blind makes the room very dark and hotel condition is good. It is well worth for the price. The bathroom had the only \"perhaps\": the shower area is not delimited and the shower curtain can't contain the water. As a result, after a taking a shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet. The breakfast doesn't offer many choices, only expresso and cappuccino are offered as a hot beverage and don't expect hot meals, cheese nor ham. They serve lunch and dinner at specific times and food seems good. Pay attention to front desk working hours, once they are not 24h. There isn't parking lot, I used a spot in the street itself. I was very well welcomed at front desk, receiving maps and nice city tips.

Don't miss your bus stop!

To get to this hotel, it is best to remember to get off at the first stop after the train station and walk up.

We missed our stop and had to walk down from the top. You'd think it would be easy, but the roads can get a bit steep and if your luggage is heavy, it can also be a bit challenging.

The check in was a pleasant experience - nice and friendly and we were even informed of the availability of an elevator instead of carrying our luggage down the stairs. Unfortunately though, when we went to the building where the rooms are, we had to carry our luggage up a short flight of stairs. The rooms were simple but comfortable and centrally located in the middle of the hill.

Pleasant stay but only to a point.

When I came back from breakfast, the cleaning ladies were waiting for me. They wanted to vacate the room as soon as possible. It was 9:00. They wanted to finish their work on my floor and they really were pressuring me to leave (asking again and again, knocking on the door) I had planned to use the room until 9:30 or 10:00, but could not. Very annoying.

Great plce to stay in Assisi

A great central location to explore Assisi from. Hotel is close to the Basilica of Saint Francis. The whole town is hilly but you can walk to all the main sites from there. Overall I would recommend, for the price it is a very good choice. Hotel was quiet and clean. Only thing is that the shower door didn't have a latch, so if you are sharing with a friend or family it could be awkward.

The block we were located in was clean an comfortable, but since this is really a conference centre, it lacks the cosy, family-run feel of a hotel. Breakfast was very basic. Staff were very friendly and the on-site parking is good to have. The location is perfect for exploring Assisi.

We arrived Assisi on Easter Monday so the town was crowded with people. The traffic was terrible and very stressful. There were no signs anywhere to help us find this hotel and the directions we had were not very helpful. We ended up having to park in a large parking garage right outside of the city's walls. We had to drag our luggage up a hill and had trouble finding the hotel. there were no sign posts anywhere. We were quite shocked when we saw our tiny room . . . the shower was a simple curtain pulled around a rod with a drain hole in the floor. I believe the hotel was really a religious retreat center. when we were there there were 5 groups (200 people) mostly of middle school age. We had no idea we had booked such a place. The location for visiting Assisi was nice though.

Ok, we loved it but not everyone would. The thing is, this place is designed more for pilgrimage minded people, but that is nature of Assisi and it is very fitting. It is not fancy. The bathroom is small. But it is clean. Has a very nice feel. Very good people including someone who met us after hours because we got in so late and a woman who worked so hard to single-handedly provide excellent breakfast even pouring your coffee. It was lovely and wonderful for what we were looking for. But if that is not what you are looking for, and you are looking for like a 5 star hotel, that is not this, you will think this is small and bare.

Christian Meditation Hotel good for all

When I booked to stay in this hotel I was unaware that it is run by a Christian group and is considered a good place for a sort of meditation, they also say it's great for groups. But, even when I found that out I wasn't uncomfortable with the affiliation because all they do is tell you where their chapel is. It is pretty bare bones. No TV, no WIFI in the rooms, no bath, just a simple shower in the bathroom. Half of the hotel is in a building a few streets farther up the mountain which was a little inconvenient with a bulky, heavy suitcase, but they helped me get it up the hill in their car. The people working there were lovely. Very helpful with questions about trains and busses, very sweet about answering questions and because I was checking out on a Sunday there was no specific time I had to leave. As long as you are not invested in having a TV and internet and any sort of glitzy stay then this is a great place. If you have mobility issues with hills or stairs then maybe consider a hotel closer to the center square or have a car with you, but then again, all of Assisi is on a mountain side so maybe you should go to Florence instead.

This was a very disappointing stay. This hotel owns 12 buildings, so chances are very low that your room will actually look like the pictures. Despite booking a room with two queen beds, we were put in a small room with four single beds. The room was dated- the sheets looked like they were decades old and the bathroom was old and uncomfortable. Though the location was fine, we were really uncomfortable in our tiny room with four adults!

Ho pernottato una notte, ed è stata una notte bellissima, il borgo è stupendo perché è in una posizione strategica per camminare a piedi, dall' hotel si và a piedi e in 5 minuti sei in centro e visiti tutto il e centro.
Sono arrivata in macchina e mi hanno subito dato il talloncino per poter parcheggiare nel centro storico.
Colazione tranquilla ma buona.
Personale super cordiale e attento agli ospiti.
Ci ritornerò anche con i bimbi.

Oferece boas condições para estadia em um lugar muito especial. O quarto muito simples com banheiro, um ponto negativo é a cortina do box que não protege de molhar quase todo o banheiro. Café da manhã muito simples mesmo. Os funcionários muitos simpátivos e prestativos. Pelo preço que paguei ficaria outras vezes neste hotel.

Primeiro foi difícil de encontrar. Estávamos de carro e o hotel está em uma área de tráfego limitado. Tivemos que esperar até as 20 h para poder ir com o carro. Daí não encontrava. O quarto é muito simples. 3 camas de solteiro bem antigas. Parece cenário de filme de terror. Um banheiro com uma cortina de plástico que deixa o banho bem desagradável. O café da manhã é bem simples, porém passavel. Os funcionários são simpáticos, porém não eu não voltaria e não indicaria.

Avevo avvisato che gradivo il menu vegetariano, i piatti erano molto scadenti e ad una mia richiesta hanno capito male e preparato una pietanza immangiabile per me. Inoltre, non sono stati affatto cortesi nel sevizio ai tavoli.
Mi è stato calcolato un sovrapprezzo di 15 euro per il pranzo di Natale (pranzo o cena erano previsti nella mezza pensione), senza preavviso, ma solo all'atto del pagamento della camera. Inoltre per ciò che ho manfiato era anche esagerato...

I would like to say, that the Hotel é perfect and excellent, it is a difference experience, because you are in the Assisi religious area and you must respect their culture and rules. Maybe, because of that, many people can say bad about the Hotel, but if you leave this it side and you see it as a Hotel, they are in the best Assisi area, you can walking arround with safe and close from the best touristics points. The room are super confortable, so spacious, good bathroom and shower, clean, the breakfast is simple, parking free and wifi signal is not so good in some areas. If you have many luggages, you can have little issues, because the rooms are located in many blocks separeted where some have little stairs to go there, but they have elevator inside the blocks.

Glu ambienti , le camere, gli arredi, sono semplici ed essenziali. Come si addice ad una struttura che privilegia la meditazione e la preghiera. La descrizione sul sito della struttura é correta e veritiera. C'è il posto x l'auto, si mangia bene, e' in centro, C'è silenzio ed è pulito. Noi ci siamo trovati benissimo. Direi: le cose semplici sono sempre le migliori.!!
