The hotel has an outdoor pool overlooking the ocean, an extensive lounge area and restaurant. A great place to watch the sunset. The indoor wellness centre is well designed within the limited space with an indoor pool, hot tub, hot and steam sauna. We felt so relaxed after using the spa amenities. We stayed in a premium room with ocean view, well worth the upgrade as we enjoyed sitting on our balcony mesmerized by the beautiful sea in front of us. We took the half-board - the dinner and breakfast buffets offered a wide selection of delicious cold and hot dishes and desserts. The staff were all excellent from the reception front desk, wellness centre to restaurant servers and kitchen staff. Special thanks to Stipe and Jelena for welcoming us. My husband and I would definitely return.

The view from the balcony was the most beautiful I've ever seen, it was completely unobstructed and went on forever in every direction. Both pools and hot tubs were clean and blue, utterly gorgeous. The room was large and the furniture and linens were very high quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and Luka in their a la carte restaurant was a real gem. We LOVED everything about our stay from start to finish. The drive to Split was around 45 minutes, totally manageble, and coming back to such a wonderful space made it well worth it. We cannot say enough good things about Hotel Plaza Duce, it was by far the loveliest hotel we ever stayed at. My only mistake was not staying longer. Thank you Hotel Plaza Duce for an unforgettable few days 💕

Everything is perfect! Especially the staff! They are extremely polite, helpful, welcoming!
The only problem for me was that the hotel is too far away from Split and the traffic is very heavy between the hotel and Split. Nevertheless, I’d stay at this same hotel regardless the distance!

This hotel is brilliant, one of the best we've stayed in. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms and all amenities are clean, modern and safe. The pool is very clean, there are always sun beds available around the pool and the deck area with the comfy sofas in the shade under the umbrellas is a great idea. The breakfast choices are great, everything feels more calm and classy than some of the busier larger resorts. Poolside service from the waiting staff to order drinks and food whilst around the pool is efficient and friendly. There is a supermarket within walking distance in case you need to pick up a few bits. We ate out most evenings in Omis, lovely location and wide choice of restaurants. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Breakfast buffet was amazing with loads of options - particularly recommend the poached eggs!
Lots of tables to eat at.
Rooftop bar had amazing views over the Adriatic Sea.
Possibly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Only downsides were the area by the pool was small so you had to be up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed at the side with shade cover and the gym onsite was tiny so, if more than 3 people, it’s a struggle to use any of the equipment.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone though!

My stay here was fantastic, from the moment me and my friend entered the hotel we felt welcomed by the staff. The hotel was cosy and comfortable, nice decor and our room was amazing spotless, spacious and no issues that needed to be addressed. We had a room with a balcony facing the street and beach which meant every morning and night we had a great view of the sea 🌊 and mountins the windows were double glazed i think because once closed no noise from the outside could be heard. Comfortable bed.

The facilities we loved especially the spa area, the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, must have went there almost everyday during our week stay.

The poolside bar was amazing good choice of cocktails, drinks and non alcoholic options. The waiters and the bartenders had good customer service.

The breakfast was delicious but was kept on repeat of majority being the same thing every morning.

The Only downside to our stay was on the first night we went to dinner we had a very snobby rude waitress who acted like she didn't even wanna take our order but we decided we wasn't gonna let her ruin our holiday with one bad encounter at the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Plaza, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were all incredibly friendly and super helpful, making me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay.

The rooms are a highlight at this hotel. They are stylishly decorated, spacious, and offer amazing views that truly enhance the overall experience. Every detail, from the showers to the sinks to the beds, was perfect, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay.

The hotel's location is another big plus. It's perfect for beach lovers, as it's just a short walk away from the shore. Additionally, there are bus stops nearby, making it easy to explore the area, and plenty of parking is available for those who prefer to drive.

As for dining, the food at the Hotel Plaza is great, offering a variety of delicious options to suit different tastes. However, I did find the wine to be somewhat disappointing, which was a bit of a letdown considering the high quality of everything else.

Overall, Hotel Plaza is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay. I would highly recommend it, with just a small note to perhaps try a different beverage if you're a wine enthusiast.

Stayed at Hotel Plaza Duce in September 2023. Got a very lovely room with a huge balcony which looked out to the sea. Fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I'd give 4 or 4.5 stars, instead of the 5 stars for 2 reasons:

1. Our check out was very late because of flights and transport from the airport, so very tired, thirsty and hangry. When we got to the hotel we were provided 1 bottle of water. We asked for another bottle of water; thought we'd get another bottle of water; never got the water. And that was the same for all the other days that we were there, no matter how many times we asked for water. There is a supermarket close by so we purchased any water we needed. I asked the receptionist why they don't provide bottled water to their guests. She said it was hotel policy and she couldn't tell me more than that. I later overheard one of the staff telling another guest, that the tap water was good enough to drink. Fair enough.

2. The bathroom in the beautiful suite we were provided, was very nice and spacious. However, the shower is now well designed, so every time my travelling companion or I took a shower, there would always be wet and slippery bathroom floors. We were always concerned about slipping, falling and hurting ourselves.

But, the hotel is well situated near the sea, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous!

I was greeted with a warm welcome. Our room was beautiful with the best view. We had everything we needed and more. I would have chosen the outdoor pool to be warmer in October but the tub was great and the inside pool was warmer. The restaurant by the pool was ok but the breakfast was exceptional! Probably the best breakfast buffet I had. And the staff was so warm and kind (there was one person who was even extra, sadly I dont remember her name (Ivana?))
So overall it was a great stay. Would surely like to visit again.

This hotel was incredible. There was absolutely nothing that I would have changed.

The whole hotel was immaculate and the staff were amazing. They were so friendly and made our stay.

Its in a greay location. Directly opposite the beach, 30 minute walk into Omis, which is a beatiful town. And only 30 minute bus ride to Split.

Gorgeous hotel with many levels. We booked the 5th floor but then upgraded to the 12th. Fabulous views but it takes 3 different elevators to get to the top section. First world problems! 😉 Front desk & restaurant staff very helpful. Buffet is extensive and we did the half board because the hotel is not easy walking distance to other restaurants in the town of OMIS. Lots of choices on both breakfast & dinner buffet (dinner isn’t served until 7pm) Unheated pool was fine in May. Beach bar with chairs was nice, sea still cool but fun. A Big hotel with full amenities.

Just one or two areas to improve on... A small ask from a hotel of your quality - English TV channels, more tea, coffee and milk in the rooms and your pool towels policy. These 3 items would of made our stay perfect.

Very modern hotel, gorgeous views and great staff. There was a wedding one night so they preemptively moved us to be further away from the noise- a considerate if not slightly inconvenient thing to do.
We were half board and generally happy with the food but it wasn’t anything special. One of the party had a significant tummy upset after having some tuna that might’ve been out for a few hours.
The sunset bar and pool area was magnificent.

Best of both worlds

As a group of friends wanting to experience both a relaxing spa break and enjoy the beautiful sights of Coatia, we did really really well picking this hotel. The hotel is located in a small town just outside of Split. Ideal for those wanting a quiet get away yet close enough to travel into town and experience the hussle bussle of the city life. The night life was fantastic and there is a wide range of eateries too. The excursions generally depart from the city centre but it's pretty quick and reasonable to catch a transfer from the hotel if one isn't included. All staff are truly exceptionally friendly and polite. We had booked an excursion prior to our arrival at Hotel Plaza and were unable to get hold of our contact but the hotel staff namely Ana, worked wonders and managed to make all the required arrangements to ensure we didn't miss out on the excursion. Given we hadn't booked through the hotel, it proved they work above and beyond in our books.

As vegetarians the restaurant catered for our dietary requirements nicely.

Thank you Ana and all staff at Hotel Plaza for the wonderfully relaxing break with spectacular views to wake up to!!

We were very pleasantly surprised at the very luxe accommodations. By far head and shoulders above anything in the area.
The only slightly annoying thing was the 15K charge every time you needed a dry towel for pool or beach. We were told to hang our wet towels over the balcony railing to dry- I would think a swanky place would not want their facade sprinkled with beach towels, but, that’s what was recommended.
All else was exceptional. Would highly recommend.

Lovely time had by my husband and I. We were half board and breakfast and dinner was lovely. Pool area really nice and plenty of space to relax in. Outdoor Pool a little chilly so not in it as much but there was an outdoor hot tub and an indoor pool and jacuzzi with steam room etc which was great. The beach was just across the road too which was great for swimming & couple of morning jogs. Would return. Loved Croatia and we were well looked after at Hotel Plaza Duce.

Hotel is lovely...sleek & a modern design with a great outdoor pool area. Comfortable and really well maintained. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Well located for quiet beaches directly in front of the hotel and whilst there is not a lot in Duce, Omis has a lovely historic centre and some great restaurants.

My only criticism is that the buffet food is not replenished unless everything gets eaten ...so food can be left warming for a long time which is not great. We were half board and asked if we could either swap this for a lunch/dinner subsidy towards the a la carte, but they didn’t get back to us and told us only on departure that we could have had 50% off. We only ate at the dinner buffet once & went into Omis the rest of the time but would have eaten more in the hotel if we had known about the discount. Possibly a missed opportunity for Plaza Duce, which should be highlighted to customers.

Also worth mentioning is that rooms on the higher floors require you to take 3 separate elevators so avoid these if you don’t like walking, although the views are lovely.

This is an honest account of our stay, and the best recommendation from a very fussy customer is that we will be back!

Modern new hotel

Excellent rooms high tech and very well designed. Three seperate lifts take you to the top floor bedrooms and this can take 10-15 mins from reception, a bit annoying if you forget something in your room. Lovely pool area and cocktail bar serving a good selection of drinks, ice cream and cakes. In our opinion this would be improved with the introduction of light lunches and snacks rather than trekking to main restaurant. Also the radio was on all
day by the pool quite loud which we found a bit off putting. Music without loud chatting in a language we couldn't understand would be an improvement. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. We did not eat in the restaurant as the first day we arrived quite late at 9pm which is when they stop serving but we were ignored by several staff so we didn't bother the other evenings. We ate at a lovely restaurant 1km walk away called Bracera which is well worth a visit. You can't book just turn up. Also the ambience in the main restaurant of the hotel could be improved as it does feel a little like a canteen rather than restaurant. Overall the hotel is very nice and I think it will improve over time as it is still in its infancy. Hotel parking is limited but they do make an effort to accommodate you.

The hotel was a real highlight, we went to Omis to go rafting but wanted to stay on in the hotel for a week! The pool area is gorgeous, Miami Beach style with stunning view and a lovely breeze in the 33 degree heat. All three of my children swam till 10pm which they found very exciting in the lit up pool while we had drinks from the bar. Oh AND we had a seafront room so sitting on the balcony was heaven. When can I go back.....!

Hier stimmt alles. Super schönes Hotel. Sehr Gutes Essen zum Frühstück und zum Abend. Wie im Schlaraffenland. Zimmer sehr modern mit sehr großem Balkon auf dem 2 Liegen und 2 Stühle plus Tisch Platz finden. Großes Badezimmer mit Pflege von Rituals

Hoteleigene Sonnenschirme und Liegen kosten 20€ am Tag. Schöner Pool. Alles relativ neuwertig. Zum Strand muss man durch einen nicht so tollen Campingplatz laufen.

Gerne! Hier ist die korrigierte Version deiner Hotelbewertung:

Das Hotel ist sehr neuwertig, modern und sauber. Es liegt zwar am Straßenrand, aber wir haben im 9. Stock von dem Lärm gar nichts mitbekommen. Der Strand ist klein, aber fein. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr höflich und hilfsbereit und spricht sehr gut Englisch und auch Deutsch. Man kann mit dem Bus für 4 € nach Split fahren, und wenn es keinen Stau gibt, ist man in 30-40 Minuten unterwegs. Der Bus fährt jede halbe Stunde nach Split. Nach Omiš, einem sehr schönen Städtchen in der Nähe (3 km), kann man zu Fuß laufen oder mit dem Bus hinfahren.
Die Preise am Strandbar im Hotel sind genauso hoch wie im Deutschland oder sogar teurer.

Très bon séjour dans cet établissement. Piscine et spa appréciés. Chambre spacieuse mais l 'insonorisation n'etait pas parfaite. Nous étions en demi pension, le petit dejeuner était très gourmand et le buffet du diner était correcte. Nous avions également testé le restaurant du pool house qui était excellent à un prix très correct. Mention spéciale au personnel de l'accueil et des restaurants très sympathique. Un bel etablissement !

Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind neu und sehr hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Plaza Duce verfügt über einen schönen Pool, welcher auch zum längeren Schwimmen geeignet ist. Der Strand ist nur über die Straße und in einer Minute erreichbar. Das Hotel liegt zwar an einer befahrenen Straße, aber wenn ihr die Zimmer ab Etage 6 wählt, seid ihr im hinteren Komplex. Dort ist es sehr ruhig mit herrlichem Meerblick. Ebenfalls ist das Frühstück sehr zu empfehlen

Först måste jag berömma personalen. Väldigt hög serviceprofil hos de som jobbar där. Tillmötesgående och alltid med ett leende. Rummet och standard, klockrent. Det enda, och det är det enda, är att kudden var lite för mjuk, annars var sovupplevelsen också klockren. Hade halvpension, och vad gäller maten och utbud, var det stor variation och påfyllning konstant. Alltid mat framme, och alltid fräsch. Poolområdet väldigt tillfredsställande och rent. Wellness och spa, samt varm bastu klockrent det med. Restaurang vid poolen får också höga betyg. Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår vistelse där, och ämnar återkomma.
