Hi ,I’m not one to write reviews but here we go .We originally booked our trip 9 months prior via expedia .About a month before we arrived we lost our babysitter and had to bring our 8 year old son .We tried to update another person on the app but we would have had to cancel and rebook at a much higher rate .We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights .THey charged us 1000 euro extra for our son which was the same rate we paid for 2 adults for 2 nights .He didn’t even have his own bed .They put a blanket on the couch for him .All other hotels charged us 70 euro per night for the extra person .The people at the front desk were rude and not helpful .Reef club was beautiful and so was the staff .One sink in the room did not work and wasn’t up to our expectations given the price .Also .the only hotel without an iron and charged us 50 euro to iron 2 shirts and a pair of pants .We are not cheap people but we feel completely ripped off.Also they charged our card before we even checked it without my approval .We would have had to wait for hours for there shuttle into town and we had to pay 30 euro for taxi every time going into town or to the beach .I feel we ripped off for the extra child .Do not stay here please .You will see what i mean about the front desk staff .It was an uncomfortable stay and the AC was terrible.

A very beautiful, peaceful and welcoming oasis that is perfect if you want to rest, relax, be surrounded by picturesque views and be looked after by friendly, professional & attentive staff ... it was exactly what we needed and would highly recommend. Close enough with a gentle walk into the old town but you could also stay very comfortably put in the lovely and wonderfully designed hotel and it's out door areas - the pool area was spotless, never busy and the food at the al fresco bar tables for lunch was delicious & very reasonably priced. The terraced double beach beds, again never busy, nothing was too much trouble and the restaurant for lunch there (although pricier) was utterly delicious too! The piano bar at night had the most amazing pianist who delighted with his skilled, beautiful and very heartfelt playing ... everyone we encountered from the reception to all of the other areas of the resort we couldn't fault the service and attention to detail ... a gem of a place!

The property looks beautiful, but if you take a deeper look into everything you’ll find that for the price you pay it’s definitely not worth it. Some of the areas are dated. The pool area has a Jacuzzi that is cold, the staff are not super friendly. We had a check in issue. It’s too long to write about, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of common sense happening at this hotel. You would expect if you’re paying over $1000 a night you would at a nice resort. Not feeling that here. The staff at the restaurants are however, unbelievably amazing We thoroughly enjoyed our time at those particular places.

We only stayed for 1 night. This hotel is a top. I have never stayed in such a gorgeous place before. We got an upgrade to a deluxe room. Clean, spacious, modern, quite,... Breakfast was great. Lots of options to choose from. Gym and spa we did not have time to use. I would Recommend to stay there. Water in the swimming could be a bit warmer thou. Great views. We loved it!!!

Incredible stay!

Beautiful hotel, amazing spots to relax but the gorgeous pool, or at the reef bar where you could swim in the sea. Perfect location, a short 20 min walk into town. The hotel has its own beach spot too, with a free shuttle. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, just an amazing stay, highly recommend!

It is a beautiful 5 start hotel or resort. We stayed 2 nights and felt not enough. We should have planned a longer stay to fully feel the place. The view is magnificent . It is located right in the front of ocean. You can step down to swim in the ocean when weather is suitable. The service is excellent and free breakfast included is just nothing you can complain . It is a very high quality hotel.

Cefalu is beautiful and the hotel was lovely. Unfortunately, there was an odor as you entered the room. The staff sort of blew the complaint off and blamed it on the wind direction, Although the room was very small, it was immaculate and comfortable. The odor seemed to come from the AC, so we tried not to use it. The facilities were gorgeous with a beautiful pool and access to the sea. Outdoor dining during the rain was less than ideal, but the food and service were great.

Our overall experience at Le Calette was brief (1 night) it was a great experience. We stayed in a \"Club Room\" which was an average room at best, but the highlights are the property where we were able to use the pool, waterfront beach club, gym, and dining (Cala Luna). All of which were excellent. We would recommend staying for more than 1 night in order to use all the amenities to their fullest.

Not so good -- given the price that we paid, it was a bad deal. Our room was a long walk from reception, basic and not in good condition. The train was passing just a few meters away from the building where our room was, and we heard really disturbing noise quite a few times, even during the night. Bathroom was rather bad.
Breakfast was served in the garden with a nice view, and was fine. It took effort to get to the swimming area -- the hotel does not have a real beach- but once you arrive to the sea area, the arrangements are comfortable.
Another issue is that the hotel is rather far from Cefalu city, not possible to walk, and no good transfer arrangements, so one has to use taxi.

Loved the location being so private and beautiful. We did have a broken lamp in the room when we got there, and there were ants and bugs in the closet. We also had poor quality shampoo, and then I noticed that guests in other rooms had shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided. We loved the restaurant service, but the menu was misleading - Caesar salad came with apples/avocado/walnuts which was really confusing.

This is a lovely hotel in a spectacular location overlooking the sea, just on the outskirts of Cefalu. It's a 20 minute walk into town, but a lovely coastal path with restaurants along the way.

The setting of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. We spent a significant amount of time at the pool and in the water. This was a very good thing considering how small our room was! The walls were also VERY thin. We could hear everything the people in the adjacent room were saying and doing. Our shower head was broken. When we alerted the staff, they unsuccessfully tried to repair it. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. For what we were paying, I was very surprised that this basic amenity was missing. Considering how much time we spent in the pool, this was a serious deficiency. The breakfast was very good as was dinner. We enjoyed our stay.

Set in lovely grounds with a lovely pool and beautiful jetty onto private cove area but with no beach area. I stayed here 3 years ago and the only disappointment is the regular electricity failures and hence loss of air con in room plus poor WiFi. Also, the bar snacks haven’t changed in 3 years

Probably the best beach resort in Sicily!

This hotel was so incredibly nice that we only left the grounds to go to their private beach faculty across town!
I’ve travelled extensively, and this is easily one of my favourite places to stay in the world.
The staff are just wonderful, the pool area is perfect, the food is excellent, the rooms are typical of Europe and quite small but incredibly comfortable, the location is safe/ private/ secure... oh, and I had an incredible spa experience in a cabana overlooking their beautiful private beach ‘wild cove’.
Throughout the summer the resort hosts a party in the grounds on s Saturday night, which can be loud, but it is well advertised in advanced and the hotel gives you a VIP wrist band to attend if you like. I went with my 16yr old as did many others old/ young/ families and we had soooo much fun! We were literally treated like VIPs. When we went back to our room which was just next to the party, we could barely hear the noise and the party goers were never anywhere near the rooms or private grounds. I have no idea why this would be a problem to anyone staying here as long as you are aware.
I don’t often re visit hotels as I like to keep discovering new places to write about, however I have a feeling that Calette and I will become lifelong friends!
Do not hesitate to book this hotel, I am nearing the end of a 3 week Sicily adventure, and all I can think about is La Calette!

Drinking water only provided on first night, thereafter very expensive to purchase. Toileteries not provided except for the smallest bar of soap. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

Wow, what a stunning hotel, from the moment we arrived we thought we were very, very lucky to have found this fabulous place. The general feel is that of a small private luxury hotel where you are looked after very well, stunning views and surroundings, everything was kept beautifully cleaned and the service second to none. We went with another couple and our rooms were next to each other with lovely terraces and views through olive trees and palms to the beach(There are a lot of stairs externally - so not for the infirm.) We stayed on a bed and breakfast option that was taken in the first floor dining room. The buffet of hot and cold foods was very high quality and plentiful and there was a massive choice, but if you don't want to take the buffet option then you can order from a separate breakfast menu at no extra cost. The staff couldn't do enough for you.

Cefalu is an approximate 20 min walk away and we walked in and out in the evenings, A great little place and lots of restaurants to choose from.

All in all a really great find and can't recommend it highly enough - loved it.

Don't book one of the less expensive rooms

Don't be deceived with booking a room at the lower rate at this hotel. We were told when we checked in that we were upgraded from a \"club\" room to a \"family room\". The room was dated with musty, damp smell that the air freshener couldn't possibly cover. The area was grassy, and infested with mosquitoes. We immediately called the front desk and asked to be upgrade to one of the beautiful rooms that are shown on the hotels.com website. We were told that the upgrade charge would be an additional 100 euros. Because the room we were assigned was so disgusting, we chose to do the upgrade. The upgraded room was absolutely LOVELY and comfortable, clean, and well-appointed with luxurious toiletries, etc. The rooms down in the other area of the hotel, where we were originally assigned, were completely different, and not acceptable. Beware when booking....don't go for the less expensive rooms.

Check in was not great as we had to wait 2 hours for our room and we didn't really get an apology. Our club room was nice but it didn't look like in the photographs as there was no seperate sitting area in the room.

Le Calette - A Piece of Paradise.

Le Calette is an amazingly beautiful resort. Elegance, relaxation, attention to detail, guest care, beauty. The food was wonderful, innovative, we had a shrimp cocktail served as if it was a cappucino. The restaurant staff and chef were so attentive. The staff was so friendly and helpful, one staff member even helped us maneuver out of a bad car parking situation. I would highly recommend a visit to Le Calette and I definitely hope to go back in the future.

It has a wonderful setting

The setting was totally amazing, with spectacular views and very pretty grounds.
The room was a little smaller than we expected, and I would not have chosen this type of room to stay for longer than a few days. Our room was on the ground floor but very close to the reception area and therefore we were disturbed by the lights and noise at night from the reception area.
Breakfast was taken in the garden, and there was no other option and one morning is was very windy and felt chilly but it was the only location open to guests. We were also reluctant to eat the food as most was uncovered and birds were seen sitting in the breakfast cereal and eating it, when a waiter noticed he just scared the birds away. There were flies and bugs crawling over the uncovered bread and cakes. Yuck!!!!
We had an issue with our television, and the gentleman on reception was very argumentative with us when we said that it wasn't working he implied that we were unable to utilise it not that it was broken... eventually he sent someone and it took all day for it to be repaired.
When ordering a drink the barman was not very amiable slooshing wine into a glass and pouring beer into a glass in a manner which was not in line with good service.

Beautiful seaside property in lush surroundings

This is an exquisite property overlooking the sea and a leisurely twenty minute walk from Cefalu. My only regret is that we only booked one night. Next time we'll stay longer. We had a poolside room on the second floor. Although the room was on the small side, it was more than adequate and decorated in the best of taste.

Set in a lovely location this hotel was ideal for a relaxing ten day break. Room was well equipped, very clean, and with
a great view of the pool. All staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. Breakfast was a good mixture with probably
something to suit everyone {of whatever nationality!}. We did not take any of our evening meals at the hotel, preferring
to walk into town and sample the local restaurants in Cefalu. The walk into town takes about twenty minutes, uphill
around the headland and then downhill into town; not hard going. We also made use of the hotel's shuttle bus, either to
drop into town, or, to take us to the beach in Cefalu. The old town has narrow streets, cobbled roads with plenty of shops, bars, and good restaurants (many with sea views). Thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing holiday.

A nice clean hotel although lacking in atmosphere. We did not get the room we originally booked by the pool but got a family room near the gardens which although oldera and in need of updating was peaceful.
The kettle was filthy and took 24 hours to fix and replace

I will never be using Hotel.com again. The hotel had some decent rooms, but the rooms you booked us into were appalling, and you charged us EURO 250 per night per room for the pleasure. They were like extremely tired hotel rooms that had not been decorated for 30 years.
The hotel themselves was embarrassed by the rooms you had booked us at that price, but they were full and had no better rooms available.We moved out after one night (had paid for 4 nights)I had enormous hassle trying to sort this out and moving to another hotel. This ending up costing me more money. I will never trust you again.

Le Callette is a beautiful property that is a lovely 15 minute walk to the charming town of Cefalu. The hotel itself is set on the sea. We booked through Expedia and were not able to get a suite with a view of the sea so we called the property and they upgraded us to a junior suite for an additional 40 Euro a day, well worth the money. The staff at this hotel is very professional and accommodating. The room was modern with a sitting area inside and outside of the suite. It beautifully blended old world with modern style. It was very tasteful.

The pool area is spotless and lovely. There is bar and lunch service available poolside, the food and service are both very good. There are several beach options available at this property. There is one very private setting that has only two chairs set up, but no bar service. There is also a shuttle bus that takes you to a private sandy beach, but we did not venture there because we loved the second on site beach option. The other beach option at this property has several levels overlooking the sea of spotless white queen size bathing beds. There is bar service and a snack/lunch menu available. The access to the sea is via a deck that leads to a ladder. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming.

The property is a short cab ride from the train station and the cost of a cab from the train station is 10E. If you are coming in from PMO it is very easy to take the train directly to this property

Beautiful luxury hotel great water views

This hotel was the highlight of our trip! The executive and junior suites were worth very cent! Unbelievably comfortable. Great bedding, beautiful bathrooms. Plus one of the best couples massages we ever had were done in a cabana overlooking the water. The entire place was so charming, very clean, we did not want to leave.

Le Calette was exceptional. From the moment we arrived the staff was gracious and quick to get us settled. Rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. Great seaside views from the rooms and thew pool. Small intimate property that immediately gave you a feeling of a private resort. Far enough away from the busy town and beaches, yet a quick drive or a 30-min walk.

Great hotel, service, amazing views

Stayed for 4 nights / 5 full days. Service from all staff was faultless and friendly. The views from the pool were perfectly breathtaking! Food menu was the same everyday, would've been great for some variety however unlike other reviews I thought it was spot on and typical of the area. The manager also went out of his way to cater for my food allergies without any fuss. If you order food via room service it can be 50% more than eating in the restaurant though. Definitely reccommend booking the spa / a massage in their sister hotel which they offer a free shuttle bus to. Shame the gym wasn't at Le Calette as I thought but instead in the other hotel. The room I stayed in was in need of some upgrades - to fixtures and fittings but otherwise was very comfortable. Will definitely return.

Beautiful views and wonderful beach.

The grounds were layed out over a large area and not a high rise building. Beautiful views. Incredible swimming in a shelter cove as well as a nice beach in town. Easy walking distance into the town of Cefalu. Wonder staff and great breakfast.

Excellent - would thoroughly recommend

Excellent hotel and service. We stayed longer than planned as it was so good. The walk into town is approximately 15/20 mins which is not on a very well lit path but the hotel do put on a free shuttle to and from hotel, even though this wasn't very late it was a pleasure to walk back after a meal in town. Couldn't fault hotel. Wonderful relaxing place and although we love to stay in a centre we would thoroughly recommend this.

Awful Experience!

We reserved a superior sea view room overlooking the ocean at least 4 months prior to arriving at this hotel. After waiting an hour and a half for our room to be ready, we find they wanted to stick us at the far end of the resort on a patch of grass that needed mowing overlooking a parking lot. Didn't tell us this when we first arrived. Turns out THEY GAVE OUR ROOM AWAY!!! and tried to justify it by saying they upgraded us to a larger room. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Not only did we not get the room we reserved, their beach bar was closed, their second beach was closed, and they were not serving food on the lawn terrace. None of the amenities (or room) were available that enticed us to pay their high room rate for one night. They offered a larger room in their sister hotel, not by the ocean, 'scenic view' overlooked 2 parking lots and a pool of algae. They found us a lower grade hotel that we found later was a lower price with no offer of compensation. The whole ordeal was infuriating and time consuming as we only had one day in Cefalu. Most infuriating is the fact they weren't in the least bit apologetic. Would highly recommend the resort next door, Hotel Kalura, where we finally ended up.

Good hotel with pleasant surroundings

Pleasant surroundings with lovely sea views. Relaxing atmosphere and very helpful staff. Not for the infirm with steep steps to decked sunbathing area, 15/20 minute hike to old town area. Found hire car valuable for stay at this hotel. Hotel used for local functions weddings etc but didn't t impact on our stay.

Paradise in Sicily

Our room was clean and comfortable. The resort is located on Sicily's northern shore of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the facility takes full advantage of its spectacular location. The views are magnificent and if you are interested in sun bathing, you will love the platform located at the sea's edge where you can lounge on the extremely comfortable sun beds all day......cooling off occasionally in the clear, blue-green Tyrrhenian Sea. Breakfast was amazing....beacon and eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, and so much more including freshly squeezed orange juice every day. You're a short drive to Cefalu where you can sight see, shop and dine. We booked for two nights and stayed for three...we didn't want to leave!!

Great hotel, beautiful view.

We originally only booked for one night, but after a delightful dinner and a wondeful breakfast overlooking the sea we booked 3 more nights. Cefalu center is a 20 minute walk and the hotel has a sand beach in town and a sunbathing beach on hotel property. Staff is great but as it is a nicer hotel in Italy guests can be snooty. I recommend bringing a hair dryer (theirs is outdated) and an iron.

Good Value Hotel

The hotel had a lovely feel to it and was in a beautiful location. Breakfast in the garden was my favourite part, I could have sat there all day. Walk into town was pleasant and not too far at all, only 15-20 minutes (the walk back was easier). No need to get a taxi. The only slightly negative things I would say is although the staff were friendly, they lacked a personal touch. Also, the lighting in the room is really poor (not a big deal at all, but was a little annoying when doing my make up for the evening).
I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family if they were looking for somewhere to stay in Cefalu.

Beautiful hotel, superb setting

Lovely small hotel with gorgeous views over the marina. The rooms are set around the pool, plenty of sunbeds. The rooms are comfortable, the excellent breakfast was taken on the lawn below the pool. Evening dinner was set out around the pool with a logpit fire which looked wonderful, though in fact we in fact chose to eat at a sister hotel in Cefalu which was excellent. They sent a courtesy car to collect and deliver us back.

Enjoyable Stay - excellent facilities

We stayed here for 12 days having booked through Expedia. We had booked a Superior Room but were upgraded to a junior suite. He reception staff were wonderful and always ready to help.
Our junior suite was lovely and had a small garden with two loungers as well as two relaxing seats. Cleaning staff were friendly and the rooms were well kept during our stay.
Indoors was a comfortable bed, two bathrooms and a couch - effectively two rooms. We were a short walk from the main hotel building which suited us well. We had a lovely view of the Mediterranean with boats going by. The hotel pool was beautifully situated and always easy to find a shady spot at. Down some steps was a fabulous deck and bar with day beds and a jetty for swimming in the sea. All very relaxing. Th hotel has also got a beach on Lungomare some 10 minutes drive away. This is accessible by a courtesy coach which goes 4 times a day and comes back at 6 for the final run. We did not use the beach but used the coach.
It would have been useful to have had a courtesy coach into the town at night and back about 10.30 as the walk in as about 20-25 minutes but the taxi back is 10 euros.
Food - beautiful setting and a reasonable range of food but little effort is made to make sure stocks are replenished for those who breakfast later - by 9.30 bacon and eggs are usually cold. Great fresh orange juice maker! Waiting staff were very business like .
