We stayed in room 221, a large corner room which had lovely views to two sides.
Breakfast fantastic.
Hotel is ideal for the Hurtigruten ship and also the Arctic Route Bus.

The shower did not always have hot water. The staff told us a trick to try, but we could not improve the situation.
The next staff member we spoke to offered to move us to a different room. I feel most of the staff were very helpful.

Good hotel with free parking lot right in front of hotel. It is enjoyable to have breakfast outside under the sun viewing the bay. The only thing not good is that the hotel doesn't have elevators—we had to carry two big luggage cases upstairs through stairs

Many rooms are outside the parking lot like a motel & the area is an industrial park. We could hear people talking outside & through the air vents. The bathroom had hair & dried boogers in the shower, the bed had 2 overlapping sheets as the mattress cover, no outlets by the bed, no desk, no space for towels in the bathroom, no drinking glasses, and poor water pressure. It was so much lower quality than other Scandic hotels. A 100m away is a brand new Thon Hotel for the same cost. Wish I had known that. This Scandic should be your last resort!

The staff were friendly though and the breakfast was acceptable.

All staff we talked to were friendly and professional. The hotel is along side the wharf- near warehouses and large got industry. An odd location when driving in. Easy to walk to central plaza and restaurants. A basic, no frills hotel that is clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent.

I asked the staff if I can book a second room (there were three of us), and she seemed to not understand. I asked about the ferries, and she knew nothing of the ferries in the area. The breakfast room was too small; why not open up breakfast earlier?

We were disappointed when realized that breakfast was not open before 8 and we had to leave before that. We picked up our belongings and checked out. At the reception, the front desk staff handed over us 02 bags of foods so we can have breakfast while continue our roadtrip. The way he handled situation was really good and we highly appreciate that.

Great for a short stay!

We stayed for a quick overnight before heading off for a sailing trip. Scandic Vestfjord was the perfect \"layover.\" Although, not filled with amenities, the hotel has everything needed for a great night rest. Rooms have ample space.

Excellent location right on a pier downtown. Windows open facing the water, getting an nice breeze. The rooms are large and have black-out blinds. Lots of on-site parking. There is an excellent breakfast in the morning, bring your appetite.

Convenient location, clean, and free parking!

We stayed 2 nights as our base while exploring the full length of the Lofoten islands. The hotel was fine for a short stay as a couple. Free parking (with lots of spots) is a major plus, as is the large breakfast spread. It is a short walk to the center of town. The Hurtigruten boats dock alongside the hotel and it is kind of neat to see them come and go.

We had a very lovely big room. We were there for our honeymoon and they left us a lovely note and a bottle of wine for us. Really nice service, a lot of items available in the lobby. Great location. Would stay there again if I make it back to Svolvær.

Nice strategic place!

Very nice hotel in the centre of Svolvaer! Perfect location close to everything. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Only minor negative note:
- the room was a bit too small, just enough for sleeping without even a table to put staff on it and a little bit bigger bed would have been perfect.
- room service was a bit disappointing. They have a really late time when they come to clean in 5e second floor and, because of that, for 3 days, coming back after lunch, I wasn’t able to have my room clean again and I had to come down and ask a new set of towels.

Apart from that...all good!

Extra point: the breakfast was huge!!!

Svolvær on the water

Check in was really slow. Only one person on and couple before me seemed to be having problems. Hotel is on edge of town centre - close to ferry transport It’s a small town so not a real issue to get into restaurants etc And whilst room had nice outlook overlooking ocean, also overlooked car park. Room was small but functional.

Rooms are a little dated but bathroom looks newly renovated. Restaurent was quite good with generous portions. Breakfast included many choices. Very convenient to stay there, next to Magic Ice and ferry terminal.

Value for money, but average motel experience

I arrive in Svolvaer at 9pm on the Hurtigruten and just needed a place to crash for the night, and Vestfjord Hotell fits the bill. It was one of the cheapest hotel around, and located very near the Hurtigruten terminal. Value for money for the price, especially given that breakfast is provided.

Vestfjord Hotell Lofoten

This is a simple hotel right on the ocean (in a former fishery) in Svolvaer. It was nothing fancy, but the location is excellent (aside from the odd ship blowing its horn in the evening), the staff is friendly, and there is a free continental breakfast. I had to chuckle upon entering my room and seeing how tiny my bed was, but I can only recall a single instance in Europe where the size of bed didn't make me chuckle. All in all, I cannot think of any reason not to recommend this hotel.

Over the ocean !

Location so beautiful ! You feel like sailing over the sea !!
Good breakfast ! Very calm and confortable .
The receptionist was not nice , we stayed two nights and they didn't tided the room , they didn't clean and they didn't change the towels , I had to go to the reception in order to get clean towels . I told the receptionist and she didn't do anything .
I needed to wash a pullover, I went to the reception and I asked where was the washing machine and they were very unpolite to show it ! I could say the hotel is very nice but the reception very unpolite !!

Wonderful Staff & Convenient Location

The staff were exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was really good. You have a view of the water and the location is convenient to the Hurtigruten and Bodø ferry boats. The room was pretty basic, but clean and with a solid bathroom and great hot shower. There are nicer places to stay in Svolvaer but this hotel is a really good value.

Vestfjord hotel was perfect. Great location- close to everything: Hurtigruten , buses, town Centre. Service impeccable, room large and very comfortable and bathroom had a bath. Room had a door opening to outside. Breakfast and evening meal at restaurant excellent.

The hotel is located in a quiet, convenient area...very close to the Hurtigruten port and a short stroll to the city centre. My bedroom was very comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was outstanding. The staff were very helpful nproviding information...and organised a special breakfast for me on my last morning due to a very earl departure. I would happily stay here again. The hotel provided value for money.

Convenient and comfortable

The lobby and dining areas of the hotel gave a modern and upscale assumption for the hotel. However the rest of the spaces and rooms felt a little dated. It was clean, comfortable and spacious with a nice view of the water. The location is good for anyone coming in late off a ferry, it's literally around the corner. They offered a good breakfast with the best vanilla bean yogurt I've ever had.

I liked the hotel and the staff were super friendly. English very good. There are good public areas where you can sit and have a drink and use the wifi. The hotel is right out on the pier so it's always pretty cold as soon as you walk out. My room was long and narrow with hard floors so I wouldn't call it cosy, more serviceable.

We had a great stay. All the staff are very friendly and we feel very welcomed. Bent specially made arrangement to have the breakfast ready earlier for us as we need to catch the express ferry to Bodo. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Very convenient to rent a car at the hotel and at very good rates. Less than 10mins walk to the Hurtigruten and express ferry ports. Will definitely stay here again.

We asked for a room with a view, and we certainly got that. our room was at the end of the corridor on the second floor, with 3 windows. When the Hurtigruten went in and out, it sailed straight past our window - we could have touched it! We had a little trouble finding the hotel, but made it eventually. The room was huge, and comfortable, with wooden floor. Coffee and tea were available at all times in reception. Breakfast was a bit weak, things ran out too quickly, and when there was a large group in on the second day, we all had to share tables, as they only had tables for 6 or more.

Hotellet bar preg av å være gammelt og slitt. Vi hadde rom på bakkeplan, der dør og eneste vindu var ut mot gårdsplass. Det var et lite bord, og to stoler på utsiden på alle rom. Der var det «røykere» på begge sider av oss, det var veldig varm, så dør og vindu var åpne. Vi ble plaget av røyklukt.

Bra läge för att gå in till tex restaurang.
Killen som tog emot var trevlig och försökte hjälpa oss när vi hade fram går om vandringar. Han var inte därifrån så visste inte så mycket.
Vi bodde tre nätter och fick endast städat första dagen sen var det smutsigt och vi fick själva hämta rena handdukar. Dåligt och tråkigt bemötande i receptionen.
Ett plus var en bra frukost.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura 2 notti durante il nostro viaggio alle Lofoten. La struttura è datata e la ns camera, a piano terra, con dotazioni \"minimal\". Il bagno al nostro arrivo aveva uno sgradevole odore con qualche dubbio sulla pulizia. Ottima e molto varia invece la colazione e buona la posizione per la visita del paese. Parcheggio comodo antistante l'hotel.
Struttura che necessita di un ammodernamento delle stanze. Eccessivo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Leider wurden unsere Betten während des Aufenthalts nicht gemacht. Um neue Handtücher mussten wir uns selbst kümmern. Das fanden wir nicht so toll. Mitarbeiter im Frühstücksbereich waren nicht sehr freundlich und keineswegs serviceorientiert.

Sejour convenable, mais les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur du prix : accès à pied difficile par temps de pluie, pas d'ascenseur, pas de table ou de bureau dans la chambre. Les moquettes des couloirs pourraient être chargées ( renovation en cours non terminée ?)

Sijainti veden äärellä, käytännössä laiturilla. Hyvät näkymät. Ruokapaikat lähistöllä vähissä, ja mitä onkaan menevät todella aikaisin kiinni.

Hadde rom på bakkenivå ut mot parkeringen. Sengene og rommet var generelt ok, men det var ekstremt lydt (hørte når andre var på do, snakket og gikk i dørene), trangt og noe svakt på renholdsfronten. Fikk også utlevert feil rom da vi kom med kun enkeltseng (vi var to). Blir litt for dårlig når prisene på rom er såppas stive.

Hyvä hotelli hintaan nähden, parkkipaikka erittäin mukavasti vieressä, johon saa hotellin antamaa lipuketta vastaan ilmaiseksi autonsa. Erinomainen palvelu ja sattumoisin suomea puhuva ystävällinen siivooja osasi antaa erinomaisia matkavinkkejä! Illalla voi katsella, kun Hurtigruttenin laivat lipuvat hotellin ohi. Aamupala oli hyvä aamupala ja tilaa oli ruokasalissa mukavasti.

En suosittele

Huone oli todella kuuma ja huoneessa haisi todella pahalle. Ikkunaa piti pitää koko yö auki ja silti haju oli todella voimakas. Saatiin kaksi \"tuuletinta\" vastaanotosta, joista toinen kuumeni ja haisi sähkölle. Molemmat puhalsi tulikuumaa ilmaa.

Mycket trevlig personal! Hade två olika rum under vistelsen. Det ena var alldeles för varmt, golvvärmen stod på över 30+ C och konstig lukt i badrummet samt problem med TV-bilden. Det andra, ett stort familjerum med hall och vardagsrum fungerade däremot mycket bra.

Vi hade en jättetrevlig vistelse på Scandic Vestfjord Lofoten. Trevlig personal, fina rum, bra läge och en mycket god och fin frukost! Kommer helt klart bo här igen!

Flott opphold,super frokostbuffet ,hyggelig betjening og flott utsikt,men rommet var dårlig rengjort og ble ikke vasket di tre dagene vi var der,ikke ble sengene redd opp.Fikk byttet håndklær.Men vi kommer gjærne tilbake.

Det tok sin tid å få rommet selv om det var bare få gjester som sjekket ut ganske tidlig. Ventet en god stund for at rommer skulle vaskes. Det var ekstremt varm på badet og det kom ikke kaldt vann den kvelden.Badet var dårlig vasket,det var hår og såpe på veggene. Dusjen var en opplevelse med vanntemperaturer som skiftet fra ekstremt varmt til iskald og sluken var tett så det ble en fot bad. Tv på rommet var ødelagt med kanaler der man så en liten del av bildet og reste flimret . En skam å ta sånne ekstreme priser for rom der ikke basics er på plass.

Grande chambre. Bonne accueil. Belle salle de bain et super petit déjeuner.
Content d’avoir le parking inclus.
Par contre, ménage pas trop fait pendant les 3 nuits passées et la literie qui est morte, c’est dommage.
Pour le prix, Ça pouvait être mieux.

Even nadenken voordat je dit hotel boekt.
Het is heel erg oud, de kamer werd niet schoongemaakt tussendoor, alleen schone handdoeken werden er neergelegd, bed werd ook niet opgemaakt. Voor de rest is het ok, ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en smaakt goed.
