The hotel is clean, has a beautiful viewof the ocean, infinity pools and is located on bus routes that can take you easily to town and beaches. The daily breakfast that was included was amazing as well.

The location was fantastic as it was only a 20 minute bus journey into Chania town and where the hotel is on the island made it easier to get to the likes of Balos and elafonissi beaches. The hotel itself was really nice and we were very fortunately upgraded to the executive wing which came with the added benefit of a secluded swimming pool and bar area.

Amazing property! Best all inclusive food by far and staff was great! From the front desk to the be and buffet everyone was pleasure. 10-12 min drive to the Old Port and some good restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be back!

The view from the outdoor areas was stunning and countered the dates indoor facilities especially the rooms. This is clearly not a 5 star hotel. The meals are all buffet style and the layout makes it difficult to navigate and work out what to select.
The outdoor bar staff were friendly and helpful but the reception staff less so - quite brusque and not very helpful in terms of things to do in the area or providing local knowledge. They were not keen to engage in dialogue.

Hotel was nice with plenty of amenities, but not really within walking distance to any shops or restaurants. It’s about a 10 minute cab ride to old down town Chania. If you’re looking for a place with multiple pools and plenty of areas to hang out, look no more. We had the room with our a semi private pool as soon as you walked out the back door. Rooms were spacious and very accommodating. We ate the buffet dinner here once and it was mediocre. The food just didn’t taste like some of the other food we had in the area. It’s moderately priced but we felt you could do more elsewhere. Breakfast was fine though. Plenty of options and it wasn’t bad.

Me and my mum stayed here for a week. The hotel is excellent. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, the food and drinks available on the all inclusive option are varied and of good quality. The pool and dining area views are great, and there are plenty of loungers around the pool, so it’s never packed, even when the hotel is full. The customer service is excellent too, with special thanks to Georgia the manager who made my and my mum’s stay very special. She is an asset to the hotel.

Best stay in Greece

We were lucky enough to get to spend our honeymoon in beautiful Greece. On a bit of a whim we booked a portion of our stay at this hotel and were absolutely blown away by the experience this establishment offers.

FOOD:
We were initially skeptic of the hotel's choice to deliver all meals buffet style. However, we consistently enjoyed every meal we had at the hotel. A great variety is offered with every meal and they change what items are offered at every meal daily. We are not big dessert eaters but we somehow found ourselves going back for seconds and sometimes even thirds. It was really that good. Even if you don't book all inclusive, Lunch was €15 per person and dinner was €20 which we thought was quite reasonable for basically all you can eat (especially considering the food quality).

PEOPLE
Greece's famed hospitality is perhaps best exemplified by the amazing people who work here. From housekeeping to servers/bartenders every single staff member went out of their way to help us and ensure we were comfortable and having a good experience. Special shout out to Georgia at the front desk. She runs the show like nobody's business. It was abundantly clear to us that she genuinely loves her job and wants to make everyone have an amazing time. She was a key component in making our stay so special. If we could we would have packed her up in our luggage and taken her home with us.

Overall decent hotel.

3 stars based on:

1. Food is abundant but low quality. I wouldn’t stay again but if I did, I’d just do breakfast at the hotel and eat out the remainder.

2. Front desk is sometimes friendly and sometimes not. Depends on which person you come across. I ordered a couple taxis directly since the taxi drivers give you a card and the staff looked disgusted.

3. There are many cats roaming the food hall during all hours. I actually think this was great until we were bit and scratched by one. I completely thought the hotel would monitor the cat situation to ensure they are vaccinated and healthy but turns out they turn a blind eye to it. We had to go to the hospital and pharmacy for antibiotics. So it ruined about 8 hours of our time one day and the side effects from shot / antibiotics gave fever symptoms the rest of the trip. All in all, surprised the staff doesn’t take this situation more seriously since it puts the hotel at whole at risk.

Overall, I wouldn’t stay again based on each of these criteria. Food alone, staff alone, and the cat situation alone, I’d rather pay up and get some place better.

Good hotel - strong 4 star

Really good hotel. Stayed in the executive rooms which were nice with a great view. Staff bring taster pastries to the rooms most days which was nice. All inclusive food was good with a range for everyone. Service was fine, however nothing to shout about apart from executive bar - Betty really stood out and is an asset to this hotel!

The walk to the Beach (hotel path) should be paved. It is half paved and not sure why it’s not fully paved to the bridge area.

Overall, I would rate this hotel as a strong 4 star, but not 5 star as the facilities that would make it a 5 star (e.g., gym, staff, pools, games room etc.) were either broken (gym equipment) or dirty.

Amazing and helpful front desk staff. Nice view from the room- I just wish I was told that there’d be nightly entertainment until late meaning I couldn’t sleep until it was finished. Also - they should stick to traditional Cretan cuisine as their dinner option nightly because it was the best! Didn’t like Asian. Also - pool bar staff (particularly the older woman with dark hair) refused to make freddo espresso multiple mornings in a row when the staff were all drinking them at the same time despite me willing to pay extra. She was rude and actually swore at me in Greek (obviously not knowing I could understand). Didn’t think it was that hard a request seeing as it’s literally some blended coffee over ice. She needs to not be customer facing with her attitude. Front desk staff were all amazing though.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Facilities are very old, however, the staff is truly 5 star. So if you don’t mind being away from the city and also don’t mind not having the most up to date facilities, this place isn’t bad. The grounds are pretty and pool area is nice. Gym has broken equipment and also old gear, but it got the job done to help me stay fit. Only 4 sets of dumbbells, highest weight being 30 lbs. breakfast was fantastic.

This property advertises as a 5 star and it is far from it, it is a 3 star at best nor is it an all inclusive, it is a SEMI-INCLUSIVE.
There is a list of drinks you can choose from and anything beyond that is an extra charge. we couldnt even get a bottle of Radler. Not an all inclusive.
We felt we were mislead as people who stay in 5 star properties, we were very dissapointed that this property could get away with labeling itself 5 stars. The photos are misleading, the property is OLD, built in the 70's and very much in need of a makeover. The pool space was very much indicative of this with very dirty crates surrounding the pools and filthy stained beach loungers.
It only has the one dining option and the food was very inconsistent. The food service staff we experienced were not pleasant and I had to ask 3 people for a beer to which they all deferred me to someone else, even the manager was dismissive. I asked him if I could have a bottle of beer and he said it wasnt included in my \"all-inclusive\" and I would have to pay then he never came back with my beer and I saw him doing something else 20 minutes later.
The positives were that the view is beautiful, the beds are very new and comfortable and we met a lovely staff member who ended up giving us amazing local recommendations and because of that I wish I could give a better review but the hotel ittself is of poorer quality than 5 star and travelers need to know to manage their expectations.

The service is outstanding. All the staff amke an effort to ensure your stay is of the higest standard. The food is exceptional - uncredible quality and variety.
The hotel is strating to look tired. Panorama Blue rooms bathrooms are not of the standatd you'd epect - old baths with old fixtures. Old sunsbdes with different mattresses is another example of lack of investment.

Loved our stay! Staff, rooms and food all amazing. We never return to hotels, but this is one we all agreed we would go back to we loved it that much!
Our family of 5 (3A, 2C) booked 2 pool rooms. My husband and I were upgraded to the Executive Wing of the hotel upon check in. Lovely and quiet, but we felt we could not make the most of this as we had to go down to our children's room pool or the main pool to spend time with them. If you are a couple or a family with adult children it would definitely be worth paying the extra for the 'Blue rooms' and as a couple would go back. Rooms and common areas absolutely spotless, cleaning staff so lovely and hard working, as were most of the staff that take pride in the hotel. The food quality was fantastic, credit to the kitchen staff; kiddy corner, show cooking, a daily roast, loads of different salads and of course chocolate fountain at dinner. Thankfully the chips 'were amazing' for our fussy 12 year old. Alcohol, soft drinks and cocktails included were great, no complaints. It would great if melon is also put out at breakfast, and dish allergy cards are completed people with food intolerances or allergies could be unwell. Had to ask staff frequently what a dish contained to be safe.
We found that the towel rule, although advertised, was not enforced by staff and we found it impossible to find sunbeds at the main pool in the morning, however by afternoon there are plenty.
Book it, you will not be disappointed! We will be back :)

We choose this hotel 5 star to get the best in Crete as from the website looks fabulous but once you are there you will realise that for what you pay is to expensive that what you receive !!!!
Very poor service at the pool bar , and the main bar, very poor an cheap spirits , wine and drink are “free” for who got the all inclusive , also the cocktail were disgusting!!!! Bartender with no knowledge! Couple of times in the pool bar I ask for a cocktail and the guy didn’t even washed the shaker and he use the melted ice from the previous cocktail to make mine, tasting not right and I had to ask for something else, another time we ask for the coffee from the proper machine (cause the good coffee you had to PAY otherwise you got the disgusting coffee from a machine that trust me not even in the worse bar ever they will serve that !!! ) and the guy took in front of me a dirty cup and he washed under the water without any soap , that’s really unacceptable!!!!!! Health and safety dosent exists!!!!
Regarding the food the restaurant that you can go 1 a week is really good but no option for the wine you only can choose the house , during the day you have big buffet which is ok no so amazing … meat is good vegetables and fruits are good but, fish plates are not that good , very dry and not tasty at all !!!! About the entertainment for the morning you have acqua gym, and we like it , but then in the evening you got some live music that only if you are age 75 you can like .

I’m surprised with the 5-star class rating of this hotel. This is a 2-star or 3-star hotel at best. Service people are neither friendly nor accommodating. Check-in was a hassle wherein the guest has to input their details themselves (I’ve never had a 5-star hotel do this). Amenities and furniture needs updating too — everything feels old and cheap. The tables, the hot water boiler, the hangers, the railings… even the pool had pieces of tiles missing. The whole place feels neglected. The elevator was also super slow and ‘ancient’ that you’ll see a lot of people using the stairs instead.

It’s definitely not worth the price! The only acceptable thing is the breakfast which was decent enough to have with various selections.

The property is in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean with wonderful views. My VIP benefits were overlooked until requested (wine brought to room he next day) and late checkout was not granted even though the hotel was not sold out. Instead the hotel required a 40 Euro \"half day rental fee\" to stay longer than checkout and we couldn't stay in the same room. We literally transferred into a room adjacent from the one we were already settled into with the same exact ocean view. We felt extremely taken advantage of by this fee.
The buffet food is mass produced so it wasn't fresh. It is sad that such a beautiful property was such a disappointment for us during our stay.

The hotel has nice pools and great view of the sea. The staff were all extremely kind and cheery and helpful. It has a great location, with the bus running right in front of the hotel to get around the area. However, I did not think it was worth the money. The hotel is very old and not renovated, the internet was terrible the whole stay, the food quality was bad, and not all their \"sea view\" rooms are fully sea view. I paid extra for a sea view room, and instead got a view of mostly the city and mountains, with a side view of the sea covered by a large tree. That was a huge disappointment and not worth the extra costs.

Food, pool and sea views are excellent. Room is spacious with nice balcony and sea views but can be a bit noisy from hallway.
Due to COVID all children’s entertainment is cancelled as is indoor play room and gym. Hardly any form of entertainment in the evening. Drinks not as good as the food. Beach is nice but stony. Google maps displays a Beach Bar which is non existent. Overall enjoyable stay.

Hotel was clean and pool fantastic with beautiful views. Rooms are spacious and ok but could do with an update. Plenty of choice food wise every meal. All inclusive drink were average and I would really say probably just a 4 star Hotel rather than 5 star. The location is ideal with a bus to Chania centre in 20 minutes located at the hotel entrance well worth visiting of an evening. Overall enjoyable stay with everything you need.

The hotel facilities were great. The receptionist Georgia was so lovely and helpful. I found most of the waiters fairly unprofessional and didn’t seem to take pride in their work. The portions were tiny and almost exhausted the kitchen staff to give you a normal staff portion on your plate. I got the feeling that staff morale is pretty low- perhaps it’s due to the current covid situation but I would have been nice if people seemed to care more about their clients.

The upgrade was much appreciated and the variety of pools available for executive guests and amenities was excellent. Amazing view from everywhere outside.

Overall this is a great value for all inclusive. I cannot compare to others in Europe, but I found the food much better than all inclusives in the Caribbean, the views are great, and the location is amazing. Is the food better at restaurants in Crete? Absolutely, but this is still worth it even if you're planing to taking the cheap/easy bus into Chania old town for 1 meal per day as we did - it's the best of all situations. The only criticism I'd give is that the staff could be a bit more friendly and accommodating - the Bartenders were usually very good and friendly, and the Porter was top-notch, but most others were often nowhere to be seen and could be in a rush when you finally got to speak to them.

One of the most amazing holidays with with almost everything close to perfection.

Good:
- the location was well maintained
- stuff friendly and helpful
- bar drinks were good and decent variety
- the pool was always clean
- nevertheless the food was good and divers most of the days with a nice BBQ party Thursday

The things that they have to fix in order to create an seamless experience:
- WiFi connection is really bad to almost not working, therefore had to use my abroad package and pay for something that was advertised to be included..
- Spa/massage is supposed to make this a 5* but unfortunately is super over-priced in comparison with everything else and the quality is just below the average

Overall I'd recommend it but with the awareness that these 5* in the rest of Europe would be 4*

The service was poor, anythjng we asked for we was told \"no\". Their knowledge of the escursions was poor. The rooms were not cleaned properly once. Facilities were poor. It states it has a Spa and it does not. No indoor pool or other spa facilities. Location was ok. Food was average at best. I would condider this a 3 star hotel not a 4 star. If your looking for a proper 4 star this is not it

We had a lovely weeks stay and where the hotel is positioned it makes the most of the wonderful views. The room was modern and stylish and the sunbathing area is lovely. The only downside is that when the weather was forecast to be windy or rainy (not actually too windy or rainy) they shut the outside restaurant which lost a lot of the charm about staying at the hotel.

Good location. Nice pools. Room size is good, but the rooms need to be updated - it's so old and out of date with cheap paint. The shower curtain is so freaking short that it hardly touches the top of the tub. The bathroom floor is soaked every time your take a shower. Not enough lighting in the room.
WORST PART: customer service sucks!!!! The server/helper is fine, it's the front desk attendants. They all are so rude, and can't careless to help you with local information. There is a small safe in the room, but they will charge you 3EURO /day. That's so cheap of them.
We paid for 'All Inclusive\" food & drink are included. But the food sucks - at best, it would be eatable.
Our room is right below the pool deck, and the staffs start setting the pool chairs at 5pm. The noise was so bad that it woke us up and kept us up. Oh, their WIFI sucks. Can't even connect when you are in the pool area. When you can, it's very slow.

Excellent affordable choise, with nice facilities. Swiming pools were good, all inclusive was descent. The view is excellent, you feel you are in the sky when you look up from the pools. It was obvious some drinks/food were less popular brands or of quality, but it didnt really bother us. Especially the food, even if sometimes felt cheaper, we ate all we could and enjoyed it. Chefs doing good job for the menu, something for the kids, bit of variety, one day oriental, some Cypriot, some greek, some itallian....enough to keep things interesting.

We stayed in panorama for 5 nights. Very good location, 30 min from airport. Nice views from hotel, close to sea. All inclusive plan is very basic. Very small restaurants ( 1 outdoor, 1 indoor) compare to the hotel size. Good food but not many options.
Good staff in restaurants and room service. Rooms were clean, good size, balcony, wifi, luggage space, cleaned daily to good standard.
You have to pay extra for room safe & tea/ coffee kettle for room.
Spa services extra charge.
No help with luggage or information from reception. We were told to find lift next to bar and find room on level 1.

On a positive note it was my sons birthday and hotel gave us complimentary cake and staff helped with table decorations.
Town only 20 min by bus, only 1 bus from hotel 30-40 min service.
Overall very good stay but I wouldn't say 5 star.

They say all inclusive...but they had a refrigerator in the room. They charged it. Did not let us know earlier about it, we thought it was all inclusive, but had to pay.

The receptionist was too harsh on it. Good view, good food, bad receptionist.

Great hotel stay

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for 7 nights at the Panorama Hotel. We decided to upgrade to the swim up room, it definitely wasn't essential as the main pool was really large with lots of space but it did give us a little peace and quiet and a bit more privacy. The room was a great size. The staff and service was impecible throughout. The food was tasty and changed daily. We went out to the local town a few times (Chania, more definitely worth a visit). I always think it's good to see some of the local area whereas all inclusive packages can leave you lazy and staying at the hotel the whole time! It depends on your situation though of course. All round, a great stay and well worth the money.

Hotel in need of redecoration

Generally the hotel is in need of re-decoration and felt shabby. Food good. Indoor bar area needs air con. Unable to accommodate request to pay and retain room until 1800 hrs and had to use gym showers which was not ideal. The bathroom in the room was very shabby and was in need of new suite. Despite signs requesting that towels are not placed on sunbeds to reserve them, this was not managed and therefore you had to follow suit to ensure you had a sunbed. There was insufficient parasols also.

Great family stay in quiet picturesque area, all inclusive food variety and quality excellent, local drinks ok for the value. Very nice views, grounds, communal areas and pool. Nice attentive and helpful staff. Room spacious and comfortable, we had a 1 bedroom suite and although it could be updated to a more modern standard the hotel have made the best of the decor it has which isn't terrible. The area: Small beach across the road nice but not great. A 10 minute walk either side of hotel will take you to better beaches. Nothing much in the area to see or do but we enjoyed the peaceful location and facilities of hotel so did not affect us. A bus into Chania old town/port from outside hotel is always a nice day out. All in all we would say the hotel is good value for the price you pay, we would return and have recommended to friends and family already!

Hotel is well located food and shops close by.
For the rate of pay you get a good nite sleep.
It's not home but it dose the job for the money .

Not a True All-Inclusive

Panorama hotel is very similar to a 4 star from Cuba. It's not a style unique to Greece. First the good: the food was quite good, always hot and a nice variety of Greek food and North American food. The pool is large and there's a good number of loungers. The view from balcony is also nice. It's about 12E taxi or a bus to Chania town. Now the bad: the front desk never seemed happy to help. They would answer questions but it was always the bare minimum. They charge 3E per night for the room safe (even in all inclusive package. Like what?) The seafood restaurant is only open 2 nights a week. There really is no beach. There are a few chairs on this rocky stretch that has a bar (but those drinks aren't included in all inclusive either) so no one ever goes over there. All in all they need to learn what an all-inclusive package is supposed to look like, since expectations are everything.

Hotel had everything we could have wanted.

Very high standard of food and friendly restaurant and bar staff. Lots of space in and around the hotel with incredible.
views. Very easy to get to Chania from bus stop right at hotel gate and then could travel to lots of other destinations.
The small beach area was quite rocky but if you wished there were bigger more sandy beaches around ten minutes away.Lovely hoilday and we will definitely be returning

Panoramic beach views and all inclusive.

Very nice hotel , however dated, close to town and many amenities. Bus 21 stops in front of hotel and leads to the heart of Chania ( 1.70 euro each way). Very nice bridge to cross busy road leads to private beach/bar/sitting area. All inclusive is hit or miss depending on taste while variety of food types was provided. Pleasant staff for the most part, nice open hotel feel and very clean rooms.

Excellent hotel for a quiet, relaxing holiday

We spent a perfect ten nights at the Panorama Hotel. On the days we were at the hotel we relaxed around the quiet pool, had a lovely free massage and ate far too much in the restaurant with an amazing view. We loved sampling the delicious Cretan and Fish restaurants. The room and hotel facilities were excellent.

Old hotel/rooms, a 3+ hotel.

We reserved a doublebed 3weeks before arriving, but that didnt help anything. The room had two single beds. The beds had the worst comfort we ever have experienced! The beds was as hard as rock! Got pain in our necks after one week in those beds!

We got a garden room, and the room was localized next too a cleaning room, with several old beds and furniture right outside our hotel door!

For those who hate insects/bugs, do not choose these kind of rooms!!! Several insects in the room and the bathroom, even after cleaning.

The food was ok, not so huge variaty.

Overall the hotel is too old, not a 5 or probably not even a 4 star hotel.. With todays standard we would rate panorama a 3+ hotel..

Nice hotel, lobby restaurant and pool area. Hotel needs to refurnish soon because it's getting old. We were on all inclusive basis for 3 nights, 2 of the nights food was amazing (Chinese & BBQ nights) the rest were just ok (breakfast, lunch). Rooms are not of a 5* hotel, we requested double bed but we were given 2 singles ... overall its a good 4* hotel.

Now, it just has beauty, because that great location is always there. The architecture of the hotel is very clever indeed. Bridge to the beach, spacious pools, and the lift puts most rooms into the hillside, with the breathtaking views that provides of the panorama. The staff are very experienced at dealing with the high volume of guest to be expected in August. Barbecue night was well thought-out. 10 years ago it would have been even better, but this hotel is impressive and recommended

Amazing view, very comfortable!

I had a mixed feelings, about this hotel, after reading reviews. I do a lot of sport, bec of that I am on the diet. There is a gym, in full working condition, food is fresh and very tasty, a lot of fruits, veg, meat and desserts. Room- size is standard size, was cleaned every day. Staff helpful and friendly. All we needed to have a nice time was there.

Great Hotel and Staff

Ended up booking Panorama last minute and ended up to be a great choice. Staff we're very friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout the stay. We upgraded to Panorama blue which I'd recommend. It gave us access to the smaller private pool and personal services. The hotel arranged rental cars and were helpful for day trips and the location was a short walk to some nice beaches and restaurants. The Hotel was one the first in the area and the décor is a bit \"dated\" but didn't phase us we expected that. Good stay and we'd return.

Good choice for families and couples

Friendly staff, beaches are nearby about a five minute walk. The bus stop is outside the hotel and takes you into chania for 1.50 euro single journey in about 15 mins. You can buy bus tickets from the hotel. We also booked our Samaria gorge trip through the hotel, left at 05:45 and were back around 7!
