A really good base in iOS if you want to be near a lovely beach and a walk up the steps to the nightlife. The hotel is fab , but windy whilst we were there but that is the Cyclades for you. I have been to IOS years ago so came back for a pilgrimage and my stay here was a a good choice. Had a basic room but absolutely fine for the amount of time spent in there. Food, pool and staff all great.

The family that owns and runs this hotel are so wonderful and kind. Dimitri stayed up until 2am to meet us the night we arrived on a late ferry and was standing outside to welcome us. The rooms are gorgeous and the family could not be more helpful and welcoming. Hope to be back!

I think this was our favorite place that we stayed during our entire trip! A lovely, quiet place that is so close to the port, the bus stop and the beach. We loved the setting around the pool for hanging out, swimming, eating breakfast and cocktails. Breakfast was delicious with handmade pastries, spinich and cheese pies and cakes. The owners/staff were wonderful. Super helpful with great recommendations. They even made reservations for dinner for us at a fabulous place in Chora. Highly recommend.

Yialos Hotel is amazing. Reminds me of a resort in Arizona USA. It’s open and spacious with a wonderful pool area. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast has the best yogurt and honey. Our stay was fantastic and would absolutely stay here again.

The entire stay was incredibly relaxed. The tone set when we were greeted by Dimitri and the staff with smiles and a welcome drink.

The room was beautifully simple, with comfortable beds. Great outdoor seating area, lovely pool, lots of shady cabanas, or sunny spots if you prefer.

Fabulous breakfast spread and nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything else.

We ate once at the pool bar and it was excellent. Also nearby were some lovely restaurants in the port area for a drink or a meal. Otherwise you could walk the steps up to the village where there was a wider selection, with more of a bar scene.

Overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

This was our second time at this beautiful family property. Dmitri, Sophia and their family are super friendly and welcoming. The pool area is designed beautifully for relaxation and is spotlessly clean. The location is perfect - a few minutes from the ferry port and a few minutes to Yialos Beach. There is a bus stop just across the road which will take you to the Chora where it is livelier, although some restaurants in the marina are also worth a visit. Breakfast at the hotel is very good, especially the cakes and pastries freshly made by Dmitri’s mother Poppy. We hope to return again many times.

We loved the hotel. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The loft area was a little tight and we did hit our heads getting up there and we are not tall people. But it was comfortable and we slept well. Our only complaints would be the towels were very hard and the drapes were very thin so at night there was little privacy. The pool looked great. We enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again.

From the moment we arrived, Yialos Ios Hotel exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a perfect location close to the beach and port, this charming retreat offers a combination of comfort, elegance, and warm hospitality that makes every guest feel truly special.

A huge shoutout to Dimitri, Sophia and family who made our experience unforgettable. Their kindness, attentiveness, and dedication to ensuring every detail was perfect made us feel right at home. Whether it was offering local tips, making sure we had everything we needed or simply greeting us with a smile, their hospitality was second to none.

The rooms were clean, bright and airy with air con if needed, the pool area with the mix of shaded floor cushions, day beds or sun loungers was the perfect place to chill while sipping a cold beer or cocktail from the bar and the overall vibe was serene and welcoming.

If you're looking for a place to relax while enjoying genuine Greek hospitality, it really doesn't get any better than Yialos Ios Hotel. Thank you Dimitri and Sophia for making our stay so special, we can't wait to return!

Hotel was just a few minute walk from the port, very impressive first impression when we walked up to check in and saw the pool area! Check in was quick and easy, gave us welcoming homemade lemonade. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet every morning was amazing! So many choices and was all delicious! Room was super cute and had a patio with pool view. Only two things I would mention would be the water from the sink and shower are noticeably salt water and the bed is on the upper level which is noticeably hotter (even with the A/C on) however they did have a circulating fan up there to move air, also very steep stairs to get to. Didn’t bother me, just something to mention. Also allowed us to store our luggage and use the pool for several hours after checkout until we had to catch the ferry. Overall, 10/10 stay!!

We were in Paros and stayed at a 5 star hotel. We then came here and what a difference! This should be a 10 star hotel! The hotel staff cares about their guests and it shows. It is family owned and is so convenient! The bus station is at the corner of the hotel which takes you into town or the beach. The espresso martini we had at the bar was amazing! The pool was amazing! The room was amazing! We will be staying here every time we come back to Ios. Thank you staff!!

I recently stayed at Yialos Ios Hotel and had a mixed experience.

Initial Room Experience:
The initial room was disappointing (traditional economy).
It was dark, humid, with yellowed pillows and a barely functional hair dryer. The door would lock with difficulty, and my window faced a junk pile. Insects were coming in from under and around the door frame, making it impossible to sleep for two nights (I was afraid the insects were going to get on the bed). When I reported this, the front desk dismissed my concerns, assuring me the insects wouldn’t harm me.

Room Upgrade:
I paid for an upgrade, and while the new room was much better, it still had issues like the bathroom bin trash which was left from previous visitors. The room wasn’t ready at the discussed time, which was frustrating as I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my valuables at the front desk (these were work work related devices which provide MFA).

Breakfast:
The breakfast offerings were underwhelming (I will admit to being picky with food).

Safety and Staff Interaction:
A positive aspect was the presence of a night guard who helped me feel safe.

Positive Aspects:
Once I changed rooms, my stay improved. The pool area is fantastic, and having a restaurant on-site was very convenient.

Recommendations:
I do not suggest staying in the traditional or economy rooms located in the old building. If you stay at Yialos Ios Hotel, book a room in the newer buildings, these are listed as superior and deluxe rooms.

This is a very professionally family run hotel. Dimitri, Sophie and Dimitri's parents cannot do enough for you. They want to know that every guest has a positive experience. When i asked if they have gluten free bread, they arranged that it would be available for breakfast each day.
The family ensure the hotel is cleaned to the highest standards.
This is our second stay at The Yialos hotel. The first time, we stayed in one of the smaller rooms so this year, I booked a bigger room. This of course is about personal choice.
The hotel is ideally situated for the port and is a short bus ride into town. It is also close enough to walk to/ from town. They make amazing frozen pina coladas. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful 4 night stay at the Yialos IOS. We were given such a warm welcome on arrival, the staff are so friendly & helpful. The pool area is immaculate & beautiful to around. Good breakfast options with a small hot selection & pastries available. The room was clean and a decent size with a lovely patio area looking out to the pool. Our only minor niggle was some of the fixtures/fittings are looking a little tired, but this does not affect the stay or cleanliness of the room. Good location near the port if you don’t want the rowdiness of nearby Chora/Myloplatas (easy accessible by bus/taxi) if you do fancy a party. We would definitely return. Thank you Yialos!

This is a lovely family hotel with lovely staff. The room was clean and tidy and bed lovely and comfy, it’s a short walk to the harbour. A great location to get to most places.

The pool area was nice and the sun-beds are comfy, Overall it’s a lovely boutique hotel. I’m losing it a star because of a couple of reasons, the water in the showers is salt water.
It was really annoying for me. I have fine very long hair, and couldn’t get a lather up in my shampoo because of the salt in the water. I had to use bottled water to wash my hair.
I would also urge the hotel to offer snacks at the pool bar- things like crisps or chips. They do have a lunch menu but sometimes when you don’t want a full lunch, it would have been nice to have some snack options.
There is a supermarket in the harbour but for ease - it would have been good option for an impromptu drink and snack.
It would also be great if they offered drink service at your sun-bed by the pool, rather than you having to go to the bar. They could earn so much more money if they did this. Also bear in mind there is no gym available at the hotel.
Apart from this evening else was fine. You get a great selection in the morning for breakfast and lunch options are very good and large portions.
If I was coming to this island again, I would stay here again.

Amazing hotel in perfect location

We loved this place. The whole vibe is friendly, chilled, and peaceful. The pool area with the bar and various comfy seating is stunning, while the staff are lovely and very helpful.

The pool never feels too busy which adds to the laid back yet unpretentious vibe. The Traditional Studio was beautiful; the decor and overall style are spot on.

Just a few minutes walk and you’re on the calm, lovely Yialos beach, with its cute eateries and cafes, and the port where the boat came in from Athens was just a few minutes further on foot. Highly recommended, we’d love to come back.

The only downfall is if you want to party, the bus doesn't run all night...if you're looking for a party area stay at the top of Chora. This hotel is more for couples. Overall great though :)

We were blown away by this hotel! The Location was perfect, short walk from the port, beach, and the town center! The room was beautiful and had everything we needed! The pool was amazing, beautiful, clean, and the perfect temperature! There was a great pool bar and plenty of shaded areas. While all of this was great, the best part of our stay was definitely the staff! Hospitality here is top tier. They made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We arrived a little early for our reservation and they stored our luggage and got us drinks at the pool bar. During our stay they gave us helpful suggestions on how to navigate the Island and were so warm and kind. We will definitely be back!

Excellent staff and really amazing breakfast. The breakfast options are mostly home made and delicious cakes, dishes and many options for vegetarian people as well. The location is right next to the ferry port so you can just walk to this hotel once you reach by ferry and there is a bus stop next to the hotel to reach the city centre.
The only downside was, the air condition in our room was slow and it took quite some time to get the room temperature cool. Also, the room was less than our expectations but that might be due to we did not check the hotel photos properly.
Overall good place to stay for the price.

Best of the Best in IOS!!

This was the absolute perfect way to end my trip to Greece. This hotel was amazing, super well kept and the service was phenomenal!! We got in a bit before check-in and we’re greeted right away with delicious, cool lemonade that hit the spot during the summer heat. The room was ready moments later and the relaxation began. Demetrio and Sophia were fantastic and so sweet. The rooms were super comfortable and very well designed. The pool was awwweessomme!! They helped us with bus times (which the stop was less than 50ft from the hotel), places to eat and sights to see. In the evening, we had a chance to chat with the beautiful family that owns and operates the hotel. Flora was so great and gave us the history of IOS and the hotel. The entire staff cares so much about the guests, it puts 5-star super fancy hotels to shame. I wanted to extend another few days but unfortunately I couldn’t. Breakfast was sooo good and extremely filling. So many options!! I honestly couldn’t have been happier with this stay. I can’t wait for the spring so I can come back to Yialos Hotel for much longer!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This place was AMAZING!!! If we could have extended our trip and stayed here for the rest of our time in Greece, we would have. The facilities were so beautiful and so clean on arrival, we were greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable and warm staff who kept us updated on our upcoming activities, the rooms were immaculate with beautiful finishing touches you would want for your own home and we couldn’t get enough of the pool/pool bar in our downtime. It’s situated in the perfect location between a pretty beach, the port (for easy access to the ferries), a bus stop to get you anywhere else on the island and stairs to the town center which made it perfect for us. We loved it and all the wonderful people who keep it perfect. We will be back!

In the weeks leading up to our stay at Yialos Village we anticipated a relaxing experience and our stay did not disappoint. The property has a warm ambience contributed by the the beautiful stonework design and the families welcome upon arrival. Our room was like a private Greek sanctuary with a unique design and white and grey concrete throughout. We enjoyed delicious cocktails by the pool throughout the day made by Christos who’s recommended Loukomaki which became our top pick. Breakfast in the morning was delightful and made even better by the mother’s welcome. We were incredibly sad to have left but took comfort in knowing this gem is here for when we eventually return to ios.

The hotel is just a short walk from the ferry terminal,so easy to find.

2) staff very friendly and helpful
3) paid for a one room with twin beds and given two rooms side by side due to availability, this was greatly appreciated
4) breakfast spread was quite lovely
5) we were provided with a map of the island...although we didn’t go beyond the neighboring port area (lots of restaurants ), Chora seems close by...the beach is literally 2mins walking....there is also a local market
6) WiFi WiFi WiFi....in the room, the pool area...it works and it works well!
7) water pressure in the shower and faucet was lovely!

This little Greek oasis is conveniently located 5 mins walking distance from the port. The family that owns/operates the hotel are so warm and welcoming. We had a great stay here and highly recommend to anyone looking for affordable luxury. The only complaint I have is the ants. They were microscopic but relentless in our room. We enjoyed our stay at Yialos, the hotel is family owned and they go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. My friend and I lost our converter extender and asked the owner where we could buy one, a few minutes later he comes back with one for us to use during our stay. Perfect stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here and were pleasantly surprised given the cost! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were different, which we loved, clean and comfortable. The pool area was absolutely gorgeous! It was a brief walk to the port, which saved on taxi costs, as well as a quick walk to a bakery, coffee shop, grocery store, rental car locations and other amenities. The beach is very close and is quite nice. And the path to walk up to Chora began just outside the hotel. Wi-Fi in the room didn't work, but it was good in all of the common areas.

The owner offered us some homemade cookies while his son was showing us on a map the island nicest spots and the best restaurants in town. Every time we had a question they were happy to answer. Everyboby was friendly and joyful. The wifi was a bit slow, but otherwise everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay at Petros Place.

misleading photos and far below expectations

The rooms we got were totally different from what we had booked and far below expectations. Based on the pictures that we saw we were expecting new rooms with double beds and modern amenities. Unfortunately we were not located in the hotel that we had booked but to another one owned by the same people (Yialos beach). This hotel had rooms which were old and outdated. Furniture was very old, room was extremely small, we got twin beds (not double) and generally we got a room that did not worth at all the price that we paid. I would have paid 50% of the price for this type of room. Towels were 100 years old and were useful only for scrub. Breakfast was basic and OK, but again did not correspond to the money that you paid or the service that we were expecting.
The pool area was fantastic (as seen in the photos) but you are not allowed to eat there and there is no service. So if you want to get a beer/cocktail while you sit on the pool you have to serve yourself.
Stuff was friendly and polite but not professional. We didn't face any serious issues, but they did little annoying things like stating: 'we don't serve local honey to our customers because it's very expensive'. Quality of service is not high.
Location was convenient, 5 minutes from Chora (main town) by car, 5 minutes walk to the harbour, peaceful and quiet, parking was easy

Great family run hotel

Awesome little hotel run by the nicest family. Pool defintely exceeded expectations and room was no frills but cute and clean. Only qualms were that the beds were a little tough and the free wifi was almost nonexistent but other than that great stay, would definitely come back.

Had to ask for a blanket on our bed... And they don't provide a frying pan in the kitchen supplies. Other than that it was great. Beautiful studio, traditional cave look to it. Great pool with pool bar and loungers. A little noisy with parties up late, but that's expected in Ios!

Beautiful tropical oasis

Our stay at Petros Place was amazing. I didn't want to leave. This family run resort was so accommodating and such an amazing experience. The owners where delightful and the room was amazing. The pool area is spectacular with a beautiful bar and restaurant. It was my favourite place of all the places I stayed at on the Greek Islands. The price was extremely reasonable for the amazing quality of the rooms and hotel facilities. Breakfast was included and was also great. It is about 300m from the Port and about a 5 minute quad bike from the beautiful sunset views of Pathos. Only 10 minute quad bike 4.5km to the famous Far Out Village Beach Club (the trip there is beautiful as you get to overlook a beautiful view of Ios). I would prefer to stay in the location of Petros Place then anywhere else as it is very tranquil, quiet and central to many things Ios has to offer. I hope to come back here purely to stay at Petros Place as they made my experience worth while. From the two cheeky Australians!!

Don't be fooled, photos show best rooms not worst

This place is a sham! We booked it on hotels.com because of the images on the website and location. Upon arrival we were shuffled off to a cramped, old, shell of a room. The aircon was the highlight. Towels old, rough from being over washed, 1 old pillow each, no little touches like decorative pillows, artworks, toiletries apart from soap which was from Yialos?? That's where it all came together. They have two hotels that share a lovely pool. But, as an early 30's couple were blind sided. Petros Palace has the really nice newly renovated rooms in the main building, but when they cant fill Yialos they push people to the old rooms. We were not impressed. I brought this to the attention of the male owner who then proceeded to try to confuse me by asking what room type I booked. He said show me the booking, at which point I could feel the wool being pulled over my eyes and asked him what room types are there. He said we have traditional and standard. I said fine, which is which, he said old rooms are traditional and standard are new. My booking showed standard, he reversed it immediately and said yes, standard is old and new is traditional. This to me is fraudulent as are the images and the way they run two hotels in one. Positives,location is great, pool lovely and its got a nice outdoor vibe. Bar prices are crazy even for Greece, WiFi in rooms is non existent, bathroom was dirty and looked like it was built in the 60's. Breakfast was very basic and certainly nothing special.

Super nice place!

Peros Place Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The couple that ran it were super hospitable. Lovt courtyard to enjoy your breakfast on. Very clean and really close to the ferry. That worked well for us being in Ios only one night.
