All was very clean. Food and service was great. It rained and it came in under the door. When you showered the water leaked under the shower door and the bathroom floor was very wet. We let them know.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. The grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. I especially appreciated the complimentary beach loungers, which made it easy to spend the whole day by the water.

The on-site restaurant and bar were excellent. The menu had great variety, including gluten-free options, which was a big plus. Breakfast each morning was enjoyable. Only downside was there was a small walk to get to the restaurant and beach.

Lovely beach-side property, with lovely staff and fantastic food! Conveniently located and adjacent to one of the nicest beaches in all of Greece. The hotel is a an older Cycladic resort that has been renovated with a bohemian style. While the shared facilities felt new, the room, had a some poor craftsmanship and felt a little sparse.

Dionysos sea side resort was amazing! The staff were accommodating, kind and informative. They helped us with whatever we needed and shared restaurant recommendations in the Chora.
The resort itself was wonderful, with clean, comfortable rooms and all the amenities you would need. Location was perfect to the beach- 3 min walk, 15 min car /atv ride to Chora. The breakfast was also great with a variety of foods available. Would highly recommend this resort!

We really enjoyed our stay here- toral of 7 days. Loved the private pool we had, it is maintained very well!
Beach was a very close walk, with good lawn chairs and beds. Clean towels provided daily.

Breakfast is delicious and fresh food daily.

Pool also great size and comfortable chairs/shade around.

The staff was incredible! This was definately a highlight. So warm, welcoming and helpful. With a baby we needed more than the average guest and they got us everything we needed.

Cons-there was no bathtubs for our 1 year old baby. The website says there is a gym but the gym was outside and very hot, equipment was dusty and dirty and it lacked equipment. Treadmill was not usable, as it was too small and flimsy. Running along the beach was really nice though and smooth!

This hotel is incredible. The service provided by the staff is some of the best that I have ever experienced. The room that we stayed in was everything we needed, with a nice little balcony & all that we required for our 3 night stay. The pool, restaurant & sun loungers at the beach really make this place a true delight. The pool was very quiet and we loved relaxing there after going to the beach. The restaurant is amazing, the included breakfast is top quality with a wide range of food available. We also had lunch & dinner at the restaurant which was perfect. This place is topped off with the included sun loungers at the beach. The loungers are perfect & the beach is incredible. We would definitely return here, some of the most relaxing days & a perfect stay as part of our honeymoon trip around the Greek islands. Thank you so much.

Loved Ios- Would stay elsewhere next time

First time traveling to Ios, hotel is not by the sea-side. You need to walk, its not that far, but I had thought it was on the water, across the street.

We were traveling with 2 teenagers and the bathroom door is glass, so there is ZERO privacy for anyone. I would recommend they fix this. Very uncomfortable for my teen daughter.

I also wanted to add that we had selected the \"pay at the property\" option and I was charged in advanced for the whole stay before even arriving. I did try to go thru the chat on hotels.com and got nowhere. they wanted a copy of the credit card bill which i was having trouble cutting and pasting to them. Know this in advance if traveling here!

There are better options.

The description is misleading. It's certainly not a \"sea side\" resort. It's down a rocky dirt road and beyond the actual coastal hotels. We had some scheduling issues, and despite plenty of availability, they were not willing to accommodate our issues. Go stay at the Hide Out Suites or some other property with an actual view of the water.

Fantastic Hotel, Fantastic Location

Such a beautiful hotel. The staff are so friendly & welcoming, they will go the extra mile for you. The breakfast selection each morning is excellent. Two pools are perfect to dip in and out of when it is hot. Pool side service is fantastic - eat lunch & have drinks by the pool on one of the seats or beds available. Room is a very decent size, ours had a small balcony. Beach is so close - just across the street, it is perfect. And the staff even serve you whilst you’re lying on the loungers at the beach! Absolutely fantastic. Only thing I’d say is, if you’re a light sleeper, maybe bring ear plugs and the noise of the crickets can be loud at night but that is no fault of the hotel - just nature! The location is brilliant, restaurants near by or you can get the bus right outside the hotel, into the town, for only €1.60. The buses come frequently so definitely worth travelling into the Chora.

All in all we had a lovely stay though there were some issues.

The rooms were decent but nothing special, even with an upgrade - we did have an incident of flooding where the loo packed up and the bathroom smelt faintly of sewage one day (presumably they were linked?) but the hotel resolved the issue promptly.

Breakfast options were fairly limited and we were very much bored of the options by the end.

The pool / private beach combo were great though I can see how the pool’s charm could be spolit by multiple small children playing all day as happened on our last day. Perhaps not the best resort for non families?

Gorgeous property and even though it’s technically not right on the beach, it’s very close and they are partnered with a restaurant and bar that is on the beach. They also have free beach cabanas that you can use. Their pool is very nice and it has a bar there if you need food or a drink.

Our stay was great. They had a good selection of food for breakfast and the food in the restaurant was very good as well. The beach across the street was wonderful. It was nice and quite. Very relaxing and the water is so clear and blue. The only negative thing would be that there is only one outlet in the hotel room. We did notice when we were leaving that there was an adaptor that can plug in where more then one electronic can be plugged in. We weren’t sure if this was provided by the hotel or if someone for got it there.

The location was perfect. Close to gorgeous beaches and nice restaurants/bars. Thought the room could have been a little cleaner. There was a stain on the wall... maybe I am being picky... it was definitely fine to stay just some things that I noticed. Not buggy at all. Mykonos is windy and the doors and windows would shutter periodically which got irritating while trying to sleep. The pool was amazing. Beautiful flowers. The service and the staff were soo nice. Welcome drink served upon arrival. I would stay again when all is said and done.

We had such a lovely stay at Dionysos Hotel. All the staff were so lovely but in particular Nikos. He couldn’t do enough to help and was such a friendly face behind reception. The hotel is very clean and in good condition. The only criticism we had was that we didnt feel the decor of the rooms reflected the sleekness of the rest of the hotel. We paid to upgrade to a ‘superior room’ and again was left a little disappointed by what that gave us.
But otherwise a fabulous stay in a great hotel!

We had a great time at the resort. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The service was friendly and professional. We were there for a wedding and needed to iron our clothes for every occasion but the hotel didn't have enough irons in house. They immediately bought five extra irons to accommodate our needs. We were very impressed by the friendliness and the quality of service. We would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

Can highly recommend this hotel. Very pleasant room, great location, lovely staff. Very relaxed atmosphere throughout.

The only downside to our room was that the shower drain smelled a bit funky. In fairness to the hotel, we didn't complain to the reception as it wasn't bad enough to make a fuss. If we'd been staying for longer than a couple of nights we would probably have asked for something to be done. Whenever we did have any kind of issue, such as difficulty accessing the safe, it was resolved immediately.

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday

This hotel was in an excellent location just set back from the beach and just a stroll to cafes. Very relaxing area with the large sandy beach and the rocky hills surrounding the area. The hotel was tastefully designed and our room was very comfortable and clean with a pleasant terrace. We loved the swimming pool area and the nice deep pool. We only had two nights here as we were island hopping but I would love to come back for a longer stay here and perhaps experience some of the hotel's health and wellbeing treatments. I would highly recommend this hotel.

You won't be disappointed...

Beautiful hotel with stunning gardens. The staff couldn't do enough for you and always had a smile on their face - especially the lovely lady running the pool bar.

The pool was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and you're just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen!

The room was kept clean and was bright and airy with a lovely little balcony covered in pink flowers.

Only a couple of 'cons' to point out. We had one plug socket in the whole room, meaning we had to keep switching the items that needed charging.

We didn't have tea or coffee making facilities but a kettle was provided when we asked for one. However, we found that when it was switched on, the electric went off in the room?! It also did this when I used my own hair dryer?! It did make me wonder if that was the reason there was only one plug socket? Could the room not cope with multiple/higher voltage items being used? Not a massive issue but something the hotel might want to look into (we were in room 130).

The only other thing, and again, it's only a minor point, but it would be great to have a bit more variety with the music around the pool. We spent quite a lot of our week there and it became a bit of a joke between us that we could guess which song was coming on next! Not the end of the world, but something that I thought could be easily rectified if feedback was given.

All in all, we had a lovely stay at the hotel and would not hesitate to come again.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Our room is cute modern and tucked away, but does not have WiFi because it is too far out. To get WiFi we must walk out a good 50 metres. Room also doesn't get cleaned until almost 6pm. The resort has a nice pool though, and has a nice path to one of the best beaches in Ios. Be prepared to spend on drinks, the staff will be watching you like a hawk and will stop you from drinking from water bottle - you must buy from their restaurant / bar.

Nice but a little too expensive for what it offers

The rooms on the ground level have no view and some have a balcony right on the public passageways which limits your privacy if you have your windows open as other guests can look straight into your room as they pass in front of it.
The gardens and pool area are nice, the rooms are comfortable and good size.

If you are looking for the beach, this is a good hotel to choose, but if you are looking to do more, I would stay in the city and bus to the beach. The breakfast at the hotel was not good and the wifi was terrible. Also, while the hotel had special chairs in the beach, they weren't reserved so we're completely filled by ransoms so I couldn't get one later in the day.

This is a very secluded area and during off season it's desolate. You'll need transportation if you want to leave the premises and head into town as cabs are not readily available. Overall the hotel is good and has a great beach with cabanas and sunbeds. During high season be aware that it's close to a very popular hotspot and it's a party beach. The wifi is terrible and the food choice at the hotel is average.

this was a last minute booking on our honeymoon, as we wanted to see Ios. The staff was outstanding, and access to the beach and the bus into town was superb. We even had a view from our room where we could see the beach in the distance through some bougenvilla vines. We were very happy, and would stay here again if returning to Ios.

A quiet and spacious getaway on a tremendous beach

Ios was superb and Dioysos was a great choice. The resort was quiet and secluded and far enough away from the party bars at the beach to provide some seclusion. The rooms were fine although a bit dated but the pool was tremendous, with a kiddie pool as well, and a constantly staffed bar. A very relaxing place with the breakfast provided by a beachfront restaurant. The Dionysos had a beach section with umbrellas which was tremendous. We strongly recommend this resort.

Great value on one the most beautiful beach

Great hotel and great great great staff…its value for money, especially with the Almyra connection and the beach lounge. Although close to far out village, the hotel is surprisingly tranquil and for someone traveling with two young women (daughters), it was actually a plus that they could party on while the old guys stayed behind.

The rooms were small though and hat only basic comfort as well as very basic bathrooms, so the time that could have spend relaxing and enjoying the evenings had to be done elsewhere.

Would I come back, definitely, especially with the staff in the hotel as well as the Almyra and beach staff….they really made the stay !

Nice, but not quite \"Sea Side\".

This hotel is located some way from the two major towns on the island, but a regular bus service passes nearby. Nice breakfast, and nice pool, but the accommodation is not really \"seaside\". To reach the beach, one needs to walk between some scruffy vacant \"lots\" in front of the hotel, and then cross the street.

The bar and breakfast service is oddly split between the hotel pool bar, and the hotel cafe/restaurant on the street opposite the beach.

The car/quad bike/scooter rental office in front of the hotel is worth a special mention. The man running the business is a really nice, laid back, and funny guy. And his rates are very good.

Hotel location was great - right behind the main beach in Ios. Secluded enough to get away from the beach activity and close enough to not miss anything. Staff was amazing and could not be more helpful and welcoming. Our boat out of Ios was scheduled for 7:30am and, therefore, we would have missed breakfast. The staff made us breakfast boxes to take with us on our journey home

Lovely quiet hotel, set only 50 yards from the lovely Mylopotas beach. Only round the corner from the Far Out party hotel, but you don't hear a thing from it. So you have peace and tranquility and some nice local restaurants and bars and a local bus, 20 minute walk or a €5 cab ride to take you into Chora, which is a lovely town that becomes party central at night.

Generally a very pleasant experience! Lovely well kept grounds, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. The wireless Internet had a bit of a problem and wasn't reachable from my room. Would recommend!

Affordable luxury

Overall we were very impressed with Dionysos hotel. You won't find a hotel at such a reasonable rate that looks this good and provides such fantastic service on other islands such as Mykonos or Santorini. As we are on a budget trip, this is by far the best place we've stayed in and had a real feel of luxury about it - a beautiful poolside area, manicured gardens, spacious rooms, friendly attentive staff and an amazing breakfast each morning! It is situated on Mylopotas beach which is a beautiful and lively place to be. If you are a young traveller you can go next door to the farout camping village for their nightly pool parties - a great way to make friends! The only downside for us were the constant wifi troubles which left us without internet access for a day and even when fixed it didn't last long. Perhaps this is only a temporary issue they were having? Also be mindful that there is a 5 euro charge per person each way for pick up and drop off to the port.

Lost in Greece

Great pool & location

This was a great hotel - especially by Greek standards. The rooms were large and the bath/shower was excellent. It was very clean and seemed to be fairly new. The staff at reception were very accommodating and spoke English well. Location was great as well with bars and restaurants all close by. Also bus stop was close by and ran frequently. Only strange thing was one afternoon we tried to order a coffee from the pool bar and the girl said it was closed. Next minute though she served other people.

Wheelchair/Paraplegic experience of Dionysos Hotel

Brilliant, relaxing hotel.

I am in a wheelchair and cannot walk - the complex is easy enough to get around.

The room I booked turned out to not have an accessible bathroom or bath I could hop into.

Maria, the hotel manager was prepared to do or buy anything to resolve the problem I ended up with a new room that had a waterproof shower room, I asked for a chair they didn't mind getting wet and transferred onto it to have a shower. Though I am mega fit, I expect someone less able might not cope with jumping on and off an unstable chair!

All this hotel needs is to pull out the existing shower and fit a shower seat with handles to the wall and they would have the first accessible hotel on the whole island. Food for the thought Maria!

Great stay

We had 3 nights here in June. Location is great, it's just off the beach and there are bus stops just a few minutes walk plus a few restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The pool area is great, although the pool is quite deep.

One thing I was very surprised about was how Amazing the food was. We had lunch and dinner here one day and both meals were amazing and very standard on price. I recommend the seafood linguine, one of the best pasta's I've ever had. Breakfast was ok but pretty standard for Greece.

The gym is good, limited machines but what they do have is newish and works well.

The only slight negative is the rooms. Don't get me wrong, they were fine but they were very basic. Nice balconies though and very decent size. They could do with a bit of a spruce up but they're not terrible and they were very clean.

Overall a great hotel with a great pool at a nice price. I'd recommend this for sure

Perfect location and affordable

This resort is perfect, right near the beach and restaurants, easy to jump on the bus up to town. Amazing pool, though service around the pool was a tiny bit slow, other than that perfect. Rooms were modern with air con and clean, everything you could need!

a very fantastic place.we were very near the beach which was very convenient as in ios,a party island,people are either asleep or on the beach during the day.town is just a couple of minutes away by taxi or bus.taxi rate is cheap especially if u r sharing with friends.the place is very safe and the people are very friendly and helpful.i would like to go back and stay in the same hotel.dionysos,the best!!

Great location - very relaxing

We spend four nights at the Diyonosos Hotel. It is very well situated for the beach at Mylopotas and for a good range of local restuarants. The hotel is very comfortable and friendly with good service. I would definitely go back.

Das Pool Areal an sich ist schön abgelegt. Allerdings ist der Pool mit blauer Farbe gestrichen, sodass man z.B. Fußsohlen bekommt sobald man den Boden berührt..Fail.
Die Abstellflächen im Bad sowie die Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Handtücher sind eine Katastrophe... 2. Fail, besonders für den aufgerufenen Preis.
Alles andere - Servicekräfte sehr freundlich, Lage des Hotels und Außenanlage, Bewirtung am Pool und besonders am Meer sehr gut, Qualität der Speisen ist ebenfalls top, haben abgesehen von den beiden Negativpunkten nur positive Erfahrungen gemacht.
