The property currently has neighbouring construction works and we was told they start at 8am…

However the works started from 6am, with consistent loud banging. The bathroom has no ventilation and smells highly of damp and mould. The AC is centralised so you cannot change it in the room which meant we had the window open majority of the time to get rid of damp odours which makes the room freezing. The front reception were helpful during the stay however I would not recommend booking at Prassede Palace Hotel.

We were staying for 5 nights in Prassede Palace Hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional. However we were given the room 112 which constantly has drainage smell in the bathroom. We can definitely smell like public toilet drainage as soon as we opened the bathroom when we walked in the room. Especially after showering. We reported that issue along with also the hot water system is low temperature compared to the all other hotels that we were staying in Venice and Milan. It is easy to get cold for the autumn weather in October. The staff advised they have checked the boiler system and is working fine. On the third day, the staff agreed to change the room for us as we told them this is uncomfortable for us to stay in the room.

This was a very expensive mistake, the hotel is small and only has rooms on the first floor, so when we made our first complaint the guy said he was unable to move us.
The main issue is the noise, our room whilst modern in appearance, the double glazing didn’t have a proper seal so you can hear the road noise. When we arrived we were told about work being done in the floor above us, however nothing was mentioned about the restaurant below, the noise of moving tables and chairs till 10:30 and before 6:30 in the morning was really annoying and woke us up. When I complained on what’s app (they give you a number to contact because you cannot amend the air conditioning in the room, so they have to do this centrally for you!) they said they’ll speak to the restaurant, but this was too late as we were awake at 6:30 am and the noise continued.
On checkout no offer of compensation was made, unfortunately we had paid up front, big mistake.

The staff was super great and the restaurant next door LOVE! It’s a must try. The carbonara and pistachio tiramisu is fabulous. The room and hallway are ok! There was blood on the curtains. However the location is not to far from the coliseum. You can literally walk there in about ten to fifteen minutes.

There were holes in the curtains, wallpaper peeling off near our room and our view was of a trash chute with cigarette butts. I’m not sure how this is considered a 4 star hotel but we felt bamboozled.

There were several issues with my room. Chiefly, there was no place to put anything. No tables. No chairs, no plat surfaces to open my suitcases except the bed itself. We found ourselves hoisting our suitcases up on the bed, rummaging through them for some key item the zipping them up and pushing them up against the wall. This happened a dozen or more times in three days. And there was no place to hang a coat or shirt or pair of pants. I had to drape things over the TV or balance them on the the window sill. It was pretty ridiculous that whoever designed the room didn’t consider the basics like hooks or tables or shelves or cubbies. The wardrobe was little help with a safe taking up 1/4 of the space and the drawers very small. The bathroom was even worse. The room had no flat sofaces except the floor. The sink had a narrow rim and didn’t have room to even put a bar of soap. Much less a shaving kit or my wife’s various toiletries. It was honestly designed moronically. I balanced my shaving kit on the edge of the bidet. The shower featured a hand held sprayer that sat in a holder that, unless it was pointed at the wall, would flood the whole bathroom. If I angled the sprayer anywhere except at the shower wall, it would spray the door and flood the bathroom floor. Terrible design. It was a frustrating experience and was wholly unnecessary if only a person with a brain had designed the space. Anyway, the staff were nice enough and tried to be helpful but the room sucked.

Ratings and photos are misleading. Rooms were smaller than depicted, lacking of amenities, in need of repairs. Our washroom smelled of mold and shower area has clear bacterial buildup that is hard to clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful to give us a room switch. However, cleanliness was only slightly better in the washroom. Expensive and not worth the price, I’ve stayed at lower star rated hotels that were miles better than this.

Not sure why other people have rated this hotel so highly. It should have been €100 cheaper.

You are unable to control the aircon from the room
and instead have to phone reception each time you wish to turn it on/off or adjust it. The corridors are dated, dirty, and dark. The room was loud due to the proximity to the air conditioning units, and the sockets come away from the walls when you unplug adaptors. The room was mostly clean, although the shower is tiny and the hot water was intermittent.

The hotel breakfast is actually provided by entering a public restaurant and ordering off the menu. My wife requires gluten free food, of which there are no options, although we were told there were.

Staff were excellent, everyone was really friendly and helpful. We felt at ease from the moment we arrived. The facilities were okay, definitely need an extra mirror in the main room though if possible! I wouldn’t say we had a room with the city view but we weren’t too fussed about that. Also I do regret buying the breakfast because for our personal needs it turned out to be a lot more expensive than it needed to be. The hotel is in a great location nearby a lot of tourist attractions but this comes with some noise. We didn’t mind this and slept fine but I understand how some might find it difficult. Overall we were happy for our stay and once again thank you to all the staff members for being so lovely throughout our stay.

No temperature control in the room. Stayed in December and the room at night got to 28 c over 80 in f. Shower was 2’ by 2’ . If you are larger than 5’10” 160 lbs you won’t fit in it. Book a different hotel. This spot isn’t it. On a positive note, the room was very clean, and in a great location.

This was a return visit by us to the Prassede Palace. We just stayed for one night this time before catching a flight the next morning. We had a different room than during our first stay, but the excellent quality was the same. As before the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Being within easy walking distance of the Roma Termini is a real bonus. This is a great place to stay while in Rome!

This is by far my worst experience ever at a hotel. I like to start off by saying the front desk girls did try to help out to the best of their ability but what went on was far out of their control and no manager was ever present tohelp.I first arrived at the property and was given my room. Apparently, they control the temperature in your room from their office. I told them i wanted 68 degrees. Went to the room and realized the ac didn't work. told them about it and they gave me another room. When into that room the AC didn't work. Tired to open the window but the back faces a toilet exhaust so that wouldntwork.Went downstair and got another room. Guess what? AC didnt work in that room. I told them to leave me in this room because at least it faced the front and i would open the window till they fixed the ac. Doesnt end there. Following day i have to move my room to the room with AC. Its not ready when i leave in the morning so i tell them to move my clothes into my room after my new room is ready. Come back after a long day. Guess what? my suitcases are not in my room. They had to go looking for it. They finally found it and i went to my room. ITS NOT DONE. i spend 2 night in that room. on the day i leave i look in the mirror after a shower and i see red dots all over my back and my sides. THEY HAD BED BUGS!!!! i had to almost miss my flight. find new luggage. Wash and dry my clothes before i got on the plane. Worst experience of my life. I do not recommend this place at all

What a great place to stay! The hotel is near Roma Termini which makes exploring the city easy as well as making longer day trips convenient.

The staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the cities many interesting areas. Everyone was fluent in English and gladly assisted us in learning Italian phrases that we wanted to know.

The room was clean and recently remodeled. The bathroom was exquisite. The bed was perfect, neither too firm nor too soft. We were lucky enough to get the room with the street view. It added to our Rome experience.

In fact, we liked it so much we booked another night there later this month.

We stayed here twice. Staff is great and we like the location. Last year our room was quieter both from street noise and fellow hotel guests-it was in the back. One negative: the electric outlets. The outlet in the bathroom is only for razors. The only useable outlet in the room was next to the bed, with no mirror. Doing hair and makeup is very difficult. Make sure you have your electric adapter.
Suggestion:A full length mirror near the outlet would be useful and get an ice machine.

The Prassede Palace is a lovely boutique hotel hidden in the small streets of Rome.

First, I have to say is that the staff is wonderful, especially Fatima, who went far above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and assisted us in making any arrangements we needed. This is not gratuitous- she is truly an asset.

I was surprised to find that this hotel is very small. While the hotel is billed as a \"Hotel, Restaurant and Convention Center,\" there is 1 floor of 8 or 9 rooms, the restaurant is actually next door, and the Convention Center is a meeting room. The rooms are small, and we found it difficult to navigate the room with all of our luggage. The bathroom was well appointed, but the water pressure was a little lacking. While it was a very hot week in Rome, the A/C would not go lower than 23C- we prefer it a little cooler. And my last bit of criticism is that it was very difficult to get ice for our drinks that we brought back with us. We had to go down to the restaurant next door and ask the bartender for a glass of ice, and he looked at me like I had two heads. Luckily, Fatima spoke to him, and he was ready for us next time.

Overall, the hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable with high end linens, rates were reasonable, the breakfast next door was delicious, and as I said, the staff was wonderful. I can certainly overlook the criticisms I noted above, but the purpose of these reviews is so people know what to expect. I highly recommend.

The property was decent at best. had some false advertising including the availability of laundry services on site which is not true. This hotel does not have any laundry services, we had to walk a quarter mile to get our clothes washed as we were in the middle of a 2 week vacation. They also advertise that you have air conditioning control in your room which is not true, according to the staff they decided how cold or hot your room is depending on the weather outside. Our first and last night we spent the night in a room that was measuring 26 degrees Celsius and the staff simply said there was nothing they could do besides wait to call the technician in the morning to switch all the rooms to either having no AC or having limited AC. The room size is also not accurately represented. There was little to no walking space in the room. The only 3 good things about this hotel is that they have a pretty decent cafe / restaurant in the first floor of the property, they offer a private car service to and from the hotel on the day of your check in and check out, and the staff is nice. At the end of the day I wouldn’t recommend this property to family or friends.

The staff were all very nice and helpful. They arranged for a private driver to pick us up from the airport, since it was early when we arrived they held our luggage until the room was ready so we could go out and explore the city. Not long after they called and said they expedited the room prep and allowed us early access and even had our luggage in the room waiting for us when we got there. The room itself was also quite nice, and everything felt very premium. My only real complaint is that the thermostat in our room wasnt functioning correctly so it had gotten rather warm during the day. I know I like to cooler than most people to sleep so i mentioned it to the staff and they were able to turn it down from the front desk. It took some time for it to cool but thats not their fault and they apologized for the inconvenience. Otherwise it was a very nice stay, great location, close to the train station, Colosseum, and many other sights. I would be happy to stay there again.

This was one of the worst hotels ever. Two mornings we had no hot water and the third morning, NO WATER at all. Hotel management did not think this was an inconvenience. The room was tiny, even by European standards. Our room window opened out into a tiny air conditioning shaft. Impossible to turn around in the shower, and I am a small person. The electrical in the room was not well maintained and one wall socket pulled out of the wall with the plug. Overhead lights kept flicking on and off. Tiny hallway to room painted black, kind of felt as if the rooms should be sold by the hour. One redeeming feature was the young people on the reception desk who tried their best to be helpful and positive. You could not pay me to stay there again.

Very overpriced, go elsewhere

This was our last night in Rome after a 2.5 week trip in southern Italy. This was by far the worst hotel. Rooms are tiny (but modern looking), with a very small bed (I think a twin) that is really uncomfortable. For that price, you would expect at least a Queen and enough room to be able to open a suitcase!

The worst part about this experience however was the AC in the room. As is typical, you need to insert the rum key into a slot to turn on the electricity in the room, including the AC. Ours didn't work so we had to call reception for them to help. They turned it on remotely but after a few hours, when the room was still not cool enough or hit the desired temp, they turned it off remotely! We woke up at 6am in a very hot room needing to call downstairs again for them to turn the AC back on (took them 10min to do that)! For the amount of money that they want people to pay, they should let their customers control their own AC in Rome in the spring/summer months!

They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and terrible sleep that we got. Overall, there are much better options for the price with normal sized beds and non big brother AC controls!

This hotel is pretty and the staff is excellent! However, if you’re a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room right above the partnered restaurant, and every night (around midnight) and morning (7 am) the restaurant moves around tables and chairs by dragging them across the floor. It’s so loud. The lobby also has a bad sewage smell, but we didn’t notice it in our room. The shower is nice and our A/C worked great.

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond for their clients! We held our wedding in Rome. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, plus complimentary champagne. Their staff is knowledgeable, kind, attentive and extremely polite. We were pleased with everyone from the front desk staff to the staff that cleaned our room. You can’t beat the location and convenience to taxis, plus walkablility to landmarks. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again on our next visit to Rome. Staff were disappointing. Rosella, the receptionist, racially profiled me and implied that I wasn’t a guest at the hotel. It was so bad that I wanted to check out then and there but it was going to be a hassle on me to switch hotels. When I later talked with the manager, he said that he was sorry that I am “sensitive,” and offered no genuine apology or to do anything to make it right. It was an extremely disappointing experience, I got stressed whenever I had to go through the lobby during my stay because I didn’t want there to be another embarrassing altercation. I do not recommend this establishment for my darker-skinned brothers and sisters since paying guests shouldn’t be berated by employees. There were other parts of my stay that were a let down, but this incident with Rosella made everything worse. Avoid.

Also, I am pretty sure most, if not all, of the rooms face alleyways so there are no nice views to be had.

The hotel was located in a convenient area for sightseeing, getting about, taxis, food options etc. The staff were lovely and friendly. Quite noisy at night though as its a very small hotel and you tend to hear everyone's comings and goings and road traffic. No room service, and for travellers jet lagged and maybe looking for a midnight snack there were no options. No front desk between 11pm and 7am. All in all staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the hotel itself was clean, housekeeping excellent with many restaurant options nearby.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We check in at 11am and the room is ready by 1pm. They honoured our VIP status with a free room upgrade without us asking.

The room is clean and the interior is modern. Soundproof windows blocked most of the street noise.

The hotel is 8min walk from the train station and 15min walk from the Colosseum.

The property was clean and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. It’s also close to the metro station, Roma Termini station, and bus stops. The Colosseum is a 10-15 walk. The staff are very helpful especially Francesca who has helped us in a lot of ways, from storing our luggage and calling for a cab. We will stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great hotel in a nice location close to Roma Termini train station. Staff were amazing and friendly and even allowed me a slightly late check-out, which was really appreciated. Rooms were very nice. There's a nice cafe connected to the hotel, which is also convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay, while brief, at the Prassede Palace Hotel was really excellent! I worked mostly with Anna, who was super helpful with all of the delays that we ran into with the airlines. She was very professional, patient, understanding, and helped facilitate the very late check-in, the car service, our package that contained our WiFi pack for the week, and arranged a very comfortable and quiet room for us. We were actually bummed we were only staying for one night, will definitely spend more time here next time we visit Rome!
The hotel was very clean, and in a great location - only a 7-10 min walk to Termini Station. The restaurant for breakfast was absolutely delicious. It had a great selection, good service, and high quality food. Don’t even get me started on how good the espresso was. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I was with my visit. I have been traveling for months and this was a stay that was so well planned, thoughtful and accommodating. Francesca-Hotel Manager and her team went above and beyond to make my visit unique and memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel, you feel like family once you enter the front doors. Wonderful location, well-priced and memorable. I'm not one to do reviews, but... When in Rome... Stay here.

This was not a four star hotel. They Claim it but the facilities are in poor condition and they have lots of kids that stay at this hotel. I had to ask for a different room on the first night due to the shower being broken and a young family in the room next to me being extremely loud as well. I told the hotel about it and they offered no solution but to put me in the “best room” the room was on the corner of the hotel right over the restaurant. It was even louder. Also I did not have my room attended to once while I was staying there. No fresh towels, linens or anything. They did decide to come in and open the window on the room and that is because the ac units in the room do not work. They temperature has to be changed at the front desk and even when you ask it takes several hours for the room to feel cooler. They also where the only hotel Iv stayed at that requests the city tax to be paid in cash. I am extremely surprised this is able to be classified as a 4 star hotel.
