Would 100% stay again it’s about 5 minute walk to termini station and about 15 to the colossium and about the same to the trevi fountain. The area down the road called Monti was also great for having plenty of places to eat at a reparable price

Room was comfortable, not overly spacious but I had no plans to spend a lot of time there so it hasn't an issue. It was clean, comfy for sleeping and safe to leave my stuff.
Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
Great location for sight seeing and enjoying a beautiful city.

The staff were nice. I was allowed to do an early check in. The room a bit small compared to the other two hotels I stayed at in Italy but the balcony made up for it. There was a weird sewer smell I noticed. Overall good stay.

Close to the train station but not too close. The hotel is also close to most sites, making it easy to walk nearly everywhere (we took the train to Vatican City). Staff were friendly we even got to check in early. Staff were very helpful with all our questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Staff were very good and very kind, special shout to Lou who is a receptionist and Philipe in the kitchen! They both went above and beyond for me!
Breakfast was good but I noticed the bread was kinda stale.. or not sure if that’s just how the bread tastes in general.
Rooms are not sound proof fyi.. I could hear almost everything in the other rooms next to me and in the hallway outside.
Walkable to almost all the tourist sites if you like to walk, deffo need the right shoes as there are hilly areas and cobble stones aren’t easy to walk on.
Room itself was great and balcony views lovely too! Overall I would 100% recommend the major and visit again

The location is very good in that it’s close to the train station (in and out from the airport), in front of Santa Maria Maggiore and minutes from the colosseu/forum. Good breakfast, clean roomsz. The front desk staff has a detached attitude

Everything was going well and I would have given it 5 stars had I not cut my head open on the shower head because it stands at 5’8” or so and I am 6’3”. I walked smack into it not even thinking about it. Ouch. Let’s get that corrected please with an upward water line, plenty of room to fix it to a standard height.

Cute little boutique hotel. Great location, nice and helpful staff, clean rooms. The only complaints I have is the breakfast wasn’t the best. The first day I had breakfast, it was 45 minutes until it ended and there was practically no food left, just bread. Tables were dirty and there were zero plates available. Only one employee working for the breakfast area. The rooms had fruit flies and the room was muggy with an odor upon entering. We just kept the window cracked during the winter temps to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Overall, I would stay here again despite the complaints.

Room was clean, comfortable and all we needed for our last night in Italy. Bathroom was tight between the toilet and sink but the shower was large with great pressure and lots of hot water. AC worked well, and bed was comfy. Easy walk to Termini. Staff were pleasant, welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was ok - wouldn’t pay an up charge but if included in the rate it is reasonable.

It’s in a fantastic location - close to all the main sights, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring super easy. We were told the water is not fit for drinking as our hotel is new and something to do with pipes. When we protested it was agreed we will get two bottles of water everyday. On the last day they charged me for the bottles. When I protested only one bottle was removed from charge. A petty amount but it was extremely unprofessional. The picture of the building we see is the view not their own building.

Overall stay was fine. There was nothing that stood out service wise. At check-in I asked about any additional benefits/upgrades for membership status and was told that they don’t honor it for silver members, even though my reservation confirmation said there would be.
Not the end of the world - we had an enjoyable weekend in Rome and even went up to their rooftop bar twice. Appreciated the drink menu and breakdown of composition of each drink. Room was nice and air conditioned. In our opinion the breakfast was not worth it (cold/limited options). We ended up going to a restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel instead.

Shower was a roll-in and had an accordian style door/closure. Very awkward. Made the actual shower area tiny. Hot water was way too hot and shower would not maintain a consistent temp. Hotel was super clean. Staff super friendly. Our room was on floor 1, overlooking the street and it was quite noisy at night. Police car sirens going by all night long.

Shower difficult to adjust and they could improve their art by using pictures of Rome instead of what we had which were in bad taste. We would stay again as it was close to the train without being in a bad neighborhood. Being across from Santa Maria Maggiore was a big plus. Very scenic with a wonderful breakfast and view of the church from the patio dining area. Very helpful staff.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Major. The hotel was close and walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in Rome. The room was fantastic, had a breathtaking view of St. Mary Basilica and the staff were beyond excellent. Luigi in the front helped with our check in and check out and getting our transportation scheduled to the airport on departure day. Would 10/10 recommend this property. Every day we came back, our room was cleaned and refreshed.
