My comments have nothing to do with employee. They work with what upper management gives them.
There were no eggs or cheese in the morning. Last breakfast I was offered eggs. The reception has a lot to desire with the exception of the Cuban one. He went beyond his duty to make my stay better. The mattress was old and I could feel the springs when we asked, I was told they were going to see if they had one nothing happened until we talked to the Latino clerk. There is no hot water to make tea in your room or coffee. The breakfast was cold the picture on the site is nothing compared to what we saw.

Great location. Unfortunately my son’s and my room weren’t vacuumed on arrival. Requested and it was done. Bathtub drained very slowly so showers were an ordeal in my room. Across from an important papal cathedral.

The rooms are gross, stains on the sheets/comforters. The bathroom had mold, our toilet wouldn’t flush. The staff did give us a new room after 24 hours of no toilet, but the new room was just as bad, with a working toilet this time. A miserable stay.

Wonderful place to stay and take in all the views.
Great balcony room to enjoy the city of Rome's busy streets, sights, people watch everything.
The hotel inside has many little places to wonder around and get lost in old Italian painted ceilings, courtyard, a beautiful chapel on the 3 floor. The staff is great especially Pereira, went above and beyond to help make our trip even better.

This hotel was AMAZING! The history associated with it is incredible. Located within a short walk to the Termini Station. Lots a good restaurants nearby and within walking distance to the Colosseum. The rooms were huge and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. If I make it back to Rome I will stay here again.

The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing.

But the accommodations is very old and desperately needs a refurbish. There are not enough power points, these are two pin only so take an adapter.

There is no in room or in hotel refreshments facility. So morning tea ☕ can not be done in room. The only food available is at breakfast,that is continental only no hot food. Once breakfast is done there is no facility for hot drinks only vending machines in lobby with can drinks.

Bathroom fittings are loose and in appropriate , shower needs to be hand held, difficult to shower.

Shame as hotel is in good location, but very poor accomodations and facilities.

Star rating is wrong it should have a two ⭐ ⭐ rating.

If you want all the luxuries amenities, you will not get it here. We just needed a place to sleep and rest. It’s a great location you can walk to most places. You need a taxi, you just walk out the hotel and plenty of them are outside. You want to take the bus? It’s a short walk.

The only good is area. Hotel’s rooms are outdated. Our room was dark, filthy, refrigerator and TV didn’t work, behind it was covered in thick dust, shower drain was clogged…. Not a pleasant stay 😞

Great location, which is probably why this hotel gets away with its run down condition. Furnishings are very tired, bathroom smelt of drains, over bath shower with no curtain so water went everywhere making the smooth tiled floor lethal. No ironing facility in the room and when I asked for one it was like I'd offended someone. Was probably a great hotel about 20 years ago.

The nice thing about this hotel was the location. In a great location! You can walk to lots of restaurants, shopping and the Colosseum. However, we found the check in staff to be rude, less than helpful. The porter was equally rude and didn't seem to want to assist in anyway. The next morning staff was no better. The only nice staff was the housekeeping staff. The hotel was musty and the room very small. Overall, the location is awesome and I'd stay here again but will never stay here due to the rudeness and unfriendliness of staff. They act like they are doing you a favor. Extremely rude.

We booked this hotel because it was convenient and looked good in pictures. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the room !!!
Dirty, mattresses old and lumpy, small and the bathroom was awful with a blocked shower that made it useless. It wasnt cheap, because of location, but basic standards were missing. We will be back in Rome but not at this hotel

The Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi is a charming, historic property (former residence of a Pope) in the heart of Rome just ten minutes walk from the Colosseum and Forum Romanum and five minutes walk from Termini Station, the Palazzo Massimo, one of Rome’s treasures, and a real mix of restaurants and night life. You can’t get more convenient!! What makes this little gem the best hotel in Rome is the staff. who make every stay at their hotel feel like you’re coming home!!

The hotel is in the heart of the city, which I really liked. We stayed for three days and our air conditioner did not work well. They said they fixed it and put a fan in our room, but it did not help much. Each time we asked the front desk for help, they seemed put out to answer the questions. The breakfast was slow and did not have a lot of variety.

The hotel is NOT a 4 stars hotel: maybe in its golden times. It is old with the smell of humidity, old furniture and the electric system in the room shut down every time the kettle was working. Breakfast is poor and the two men who attended it saved the time. They were very pleasant and served with a smile. They were the only good thing the breakfast had to offer. The cleaning lady was lovely as well. As for the reception, only one of the 3 persons in charge was willing to provide information with a GREAT attitude. The other two men should consider changing their jobs, because they are not fitted for guest services reception. Overall, the neighborhood is very well located with a taxi station in front, nice restaurants, places to do laundry and the big landmark of Santa Maria Maggiore. Nevertheless, I won’t go again to this hotel.

The location is excellent with many major attractions within a 30 minute walk and the metro station just a few blocks away. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the ones serving breakfast each morning. Rome was very warm during our stay and our room stayed uncomfortably hot.

We ordered a classic room, but it didn’t match 4* level.
#The mirror frame in the bathroom is broken

#Shower base is very old and glass wasn't clean

#There are some problems with electricity in the bathroom

#The lamps near the bedroom dont work

#no shelves in the bathroom and shower, no hanging facilities for towels (there is on above the lavatory seat😕)

#there weren't shampoo in the bathroom (needed to ask) and no hair conditioner at all.
After complaining to the customer service, they moved us to the superior room, which was much better, but still without refreshens of toiletries.

And the worst experience was breakfast- cup of cafe/tea, bakery and cold sausages cannot be defined as breakfast - no eggs, no vegetables, no any kind of cheese, no hot dishes.
There was a juice as well, but spoiled.
But also the property has a great location and acceptable for public transportation

All the service staff were excellent. I lost a wallet in a taxi, which was returned the following day by the driver. The front desk staff were especially helpful in informing me of all the steps I needed to take. The breakfast was very good and their breakfast staff were just great!

This hotel is very run down and in need of an investment upgrade. The hotel is certainly not a 4 star property and shame on you Orbitz for allowing it to be listed as such. There was leftover food in the refrigerator, carpet was dirty, bed was a joke(old mattress and didn't fit the frame even) and there was no shower curtain to contain water when showering. This place is terrible. The only positive is the location.

Absolutely terrible... The first room we were given had a fridge that was not working, a nonworking TV, and nonworking lights. The shower head of our first room wouldn't even reach the stand for it, so we were forced to hold it the whole time. We were upgraded to their \"best room\" and all our luggage and items were moved to the new room without any warning or permission. They left a couple of items behind and it took a while to get them back. The 2nd room did not have warm water for showering, and the sink did not have cold water, only boiling water. we had bought a box of chocolate with 11 pieces of chocolates and when we left that morning and came back at night, only 4 were remaining, which means the cleaning staff probably ate them... the area was also terrible. I was pickpocketed on the same street on my phone was taken. Do not recommend this place

Good location, only 10 minutes walk to Colosseum. Many restaurants, ice cream shops near by. Grocery store was just 2 minutes walk, taxi stand was across the road. The courtyard was very nice with ample seats.

But hotel rooms and specially bathrooms are in need to repair and refurbish.

It is an antique hotel but they are doing the best they can to serve guests. A very nice place with a little garden in the middle of the first floor (the ground floor is floor 0). The place is clean but they can only do so much to make it look presentable. Staffs are nice and doing their best to help. They do speak English.

Very nice view. All groceries, amenities, tourist are close by. Also the terminal is close by as we use it all the time. I highly recommended the place.

- The room is so tiny you can’t even open your suitcase if it’s not on the bed.
- They sprung a fee on us for my SERVICE DOG!!! I tried explaining she wasn’t a Pet and they weren’t hearing it. Very frustrating.

The building is wonderful, but the management have not realised its potential. The courtyard garden could be very pleasant but during our stay no cushions were put out and the area was unused. With the proper treatment it would be a great place to drink a glass of prosecco. However there is no bar.
Breakfast was poor with little choice and aweful coffee.
Room was very clean with clean towels each day.
Could be a great place, but is not now.

The common areas were beautiful and well kept. The room I was given lacked any amenities. A simple item like a glass was not there. There was a device to heat water for coffee or tea but neither of those items were there. In fact if I had boiled water there wasn’t anything to put it in. As far as I could find there was only one outlet to plug annything into. The only thing left on the cardboard tray were two packets of sugar. Nothing in the refrigerator such as even a bottle of water. The only place to put my suitcase was on the one hard backed chair. When I asked about getting a bottle of water I was told the water from the faucet was good to drink. Bathroom clean but nothing like a toilet paper holder. Staff very cool and removed from helping. It appears the room I was given hadn’t been completely finished. Pricy hotel with no amenities

The location is perfect, walking distance to most sites and opposite the Santa Maria Maggiore. It's a beautiful old building with many lovely features but our rooms were badly in need of an update and a deep clean, although the views across the square and of the church were wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic for a 4 star hotel, but we discovered on the last morning that you could order eggs; this should be made clear. Overall this is a unique hotel but in need of attention.

The hotel has some lovely parts, including the inner courtyard pictured. The room we moved to was nice, although small for our family of 4. It was not a four person room. It was a double with two beds added. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the bathroom and the ineffective air conditioning. A four star hotel should not have black mold in the shower.

The hotel was just that, nothing special. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. The staff were nice enough but nothing exceptional. Were told to leave nothing in car as it was not attended even in their own area. It was gated but gates not closed. Toilet kept running and other amenities need upgrading. The room was of good size until they put a HUGE bed taking up most of the space including the walkway around it. No restaurant and breakfast was minimal. Close for sightseeing but that is about I can say for it. Disappointed to moved to different hotel after 2 days.

Outrageous

We made a booking through here, confirmed and paid for, on arrival they said they were not even on the site then shouted at my daughter it was our fault not theirs i asked them if the hotel was the right ine he shouted yes but full full for a week.no bookings on line i showed him all and that it is paid. i asked for some help or understanding as we are 2 girls alone and it was late they refused and asked us to leave they wantes to sleep, everywhere was book up.
They said sleep in the carpark which we did as its a ling way from everything and we were very tired.
They said it qould be locked and it was not.
The next day they said 1 room 60 euros i showed i had paid they they got angey again at us at which point i left as it was very uosetting and stressful.

Service and staff were great. Metro is a 5 min walk away. Front desk will direct you wherever you need to go and visit.
