Pros- BIG shout out to Thomasz (sorry for spelling) at front desk. He was so lovely and helpful. Like a pocket tour guide! Thank you!

Roof top area was a nice touch.

Short walk from Rome termini

Cons- single room was even smaller than I imagined. It was fine but not sure I’d stay again unless a really great cheap deal. Was very noisy around 5am not sure if it was in hotel or outside workmen. Also you could hear everything from water running next door, conversations in corridor.

It is a little further out for centre. Everything was a 30 min walk give or take.

Overall, a fine stay. If a cheap deal was on I’d consider staying again.

Breakfast was wonderful! Great selection and fantastic service. Enjoyed the meats and cheese selection! The staff were fantastic and efficient. Tomaso at the front desk was very helpful and made sure we knew how to get around. The room was fine for the three of us--very clean and had everything we needed. The rooftop bar offered an amazing view of Rome. Very satisfied with every aspect of this stay. Extra points for the great customer service. Forgot to mention, they arranged car service from the airport and that really helped us out!

Hotel Colosseum was the perfect start to our trip to Italy. The staff were so welcoming and made check-in easy after a long travel day. Our room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the view from the rooftop terrace was unforgettable. The location made it easy to walk to most attractions, yet it felt peaceful and safe at night. Excellent combination of a hotel on a quiet street but near bus routes and eateries. The hotel staff was especially friendly and helpful. They serve a good breakfast, store luggage after check out and keep the rooms and public areas clean. There is also a nice view from the rooftop terrace. Rooms and bathrooms are small due to the urban location but we loved our stay here.

Good location down a small alley off of the main road, close to the Colosseum and restaurants. Staff is friendly (note: beware of taxis overcharging even if the hotel has called one for you... make sure the meter is on and you ONLY pay what is on the meter, even if they claim tolls, only pay the meter). Room was clean (except for 2 or 3 ants in the bathroom), breakfast is absolutely delicious and included. There is an elevator and air conditioning. Higly recommend!

The front desk people were very helpful to first-timers in Rome. The free breakfast was great and so convenient. The rooftop was a delightful way to start or end our day. Bring tissues as they don’t provide. We enjoyed the neighborhood feel, the restaurants everywhere, Santa Marie Maggiore a short walk away (and worth a visit). The train station looks close but is a hike if you’re dragging luggage on the rough streets and sidewalks. - we’ll get a taxi next time.

Great stay! Started off with a private car to pick us up from the airport (70 euro), which was nice and convenient. The service at the hotel was excellent, the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was decent size for the two of us, comfortable, and functional. The breakfast (included) was outstanding. The hotel is located near many sights. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum, 15 to Trevi. We walked all over the place and found the hotel convenient.

It was conveniently located near the train station, tourist hotspots, and plenty of good restaurants and the view from the rooftop bar was beautiful. The staff was really friendly when we needed help with directions, transportation, recommendations, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was ok, the breakfast was good. The ac unit was extremely loud and didn't work well. Don't expect to leave your electronics to charge in the room while you're gone, you're required to hand over your room key when going out of the hotel and the room key turns the electricity on for your room.

The deal-breaker for me was that I was asked to turn in my hotel room key every time I left, and the key would be left behind the counter, and given to me at the front desk.

This made me feel like I was being monitored, and on one occasion I was given the wrong room key - which scared me to think, how easily the wrong key can be given out (due to a mix-up, natural human error) but I no longer felt safe leaving the hotel, knowing anybody could end up with access to my room and belongings.

To add, the location isn't great, on a mostly residential-looking street, and it's a couple blocks away to find more livelihood, restaurants, and bars.

For the price you can find much better accommodations in Rome.

Just returned from our stay. Not your typical hotel suite...but met all my families needs.

We stayed in Room 10...the little 'courtyard' was a welcome relaxing spot to share a glass at the end of a day exploring.

The rooftop courtyard was amazing at sunset as well.

The afternoon/night manager (named Tomasso) was incredible!!! So informative, knowledgeable about Rome, and amazingly helpful. All of them were, but Tomasso stands out for making sure our stay was perfect and safe in every way. Can't say enough good things about him. The room was not tiny but a little on the small size, but that is status qup for many European hotels I guess. Would definitely stay there again.
