Water pressure in our room was low which meant showers were not ideal, the toilet would take forever to refill and during our first night, we had no water coming out of our tap or toilet. When the water finally started working again, it was extremely dirty and brown.

Other than that, the room was fairly clean, good breakfast option and location. It is an overall okay hotel but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel is super close to the Central Termini station, making it easy to get to from the airport and leave via a train. Air conditioning was glorious. Elevator is very small, so we took the stairs most of the time. Close to restaurants. Walkable to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Second time staying in this neighborhood felt safe doing so, even as two females.

Hotel RomAntica is a very clean, well maintained hotel for excellent value! Had a continental breakfast (European style) Two blocks from the train terminal, many restaurants and eateries nearby make dining easy. Our favourite restaurant was next door at Emasi. Highly recommended if you’re coming and going by train.

A super wee hotel, basic breakfast but clean and comfortable. Very convenient to train station for metro and buses. 20-25 minutes walk to either Trevi fountain or the Colosseum. Staff were friendly and helpful. Happily stay again if in Rome.

Well positioned hotel with good breakfast

The hotel is very conveniently placed. It takes 10 minutes to walk from the main Rome train station and 20 minutes from the Colloseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. The room is basic but clean and the breakfast good with breads, meats, cheese, eggs, pastries, jams and fruit juices as well as a hot drinks machine. The people are friendly and helpful.

Great location and service.

We only needed a place to sleep for a few hours as our flight arrived late and we had an early train on the next day.
I messaged early and they were able to ensure I could self check-in when I arrived in the middle of the night. Roberto was extremely helpful and kind to us.
The location is great, if one needs to be around the train station, that's a great choice of hotel. Albeit simple, breakfast was delicious and there were enough choices for me and my husband.
We'd recommend and we'd certainly stay there again.

The hotel was clean, the room was spacious. The bathroom had enough room.
Altogether it was a good stay within a close proximity to the central train station. The free breakfast isnt the best, but hey its free so dig in!
And if you get a chance eat at Trattoria Cecio across the street. It was the best meal we had in Rome! But make reservations it packs up quick!

We were in need of a place close to the train station, and fairly close to the core centre of Rome (easy walking distance). We basically needed only a place to sleep, and a breakfast that would get us going for the day. This hotel was excellent in everything we needed!!! Breakfast was beyond our expectations, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A good hotel to stay in if you are planning to be out during the day and evening. The location is great because it’s a short walk from the train station and easy to get to. The room was very simple and tiny however we expected that so it was fine. The bathroom was tiny and there was nowhere to hang towels (the staff had to place them on the sink). The room was tidy and clean however the towels were terrible. They had a slight smell and were thin. The hotel staff were lovely and always pleasant when we saw them. The included breakfast was simple but there were several choices and you could have as much as you wanted. The dining room was set up nicely. A jug to make tea or coffee in our room would have been nice. Overall a pleasant experience.

I wasn’t expecting this place to be Ritz for the price we paid but it fell short of expectations. The bathroom had a constant faint odor of bile, the shower was leaky and temperamental. The bed was very thin and uncomfortable with very thin pillows. The particle board door to the bathroom was swollen and coming apart from water damage on the bottom.

The staff was friendly and more or less helpful. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked although not the highest of quality. All in all not horrible but the bathroom and bedding situations were quite pitiful.

Very close to Termini station and the cheaper end of Rome but the rooms are very small and have no view (look out onto walls). The double bed was 2 mattresses pushed together, one of which was very saggy and very uncomfortable - attempts to get this changed proved fruitless. The safe was very difficult to open and close and we ended up leaving the key in the lock because we couldn't get it out. Room is in need of a lick of paint, otherwise clean. Good continental breakfast as long as you get there before 9.30

Well positioned hotel

This hotel is perfectly located for arriving to Termini from the airport and for getting buses or metro around Rome.
The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, but the room was a little small and the shower was disappointing. Think there are bigger rooms available.
Breakfast was ok, but the choice could have been better.
Overall I would recommend this hotel as it is reasonably priced and well located.

We enjoyed our stay , close to Colosseum and attractions . Not the same side of the river as the Vatican , which was some distance away . We took a taxi to that side !

The hotel is exactly what you pay for. I genuinely did not have one good nights sleep in the 4 nights we stayed purely because the AC wasn’t very useful and the street was so noisy until 2/3am most nights (not the hotels fault). The shower room was tiny and the shower leaked all over the floor whenever you turned it on even with the shower door closed. Every time I tried to use the hair dryer the electricity in the room blew but thankfully there was a fuse box in the room where we could deal with this ourselves (never seen this before but hey). We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t say much on that and that towels and bedding was changed daily but there about it. The room itself needed a revamp and a bit of a clean and I wouldn’t stay again. I would say if you are traveling to Rome pay more for your stay, you want to be comfortable and I just wasn’t comfortable for the whole stay. Sorry hotel romantica!

Located close to the train station which was a massive help as I knew there will always be some sort of transport I could get back, should I have ventured too far out. As it is near the station it is pretty noisy. Room is a little cramped but it did the job I needed, so no complaints. Bathroom absolutely fine too, sink is a little small but nothing major. Only negative I can think of is I had no hot water in the shower.

Good stay, very near Termini Station.

The room was very small but it had everything we needed. Hot water, airconditioning, a safe for our valuables, they even lent us a water keetle for my early morning tea. Breakfast was good too!

Location - the hotel is very near the Termini station (just two blocks away), thats a plus for first time tourists like us. Very accessible coming from the airport and going to Florence, our next destination. The Basilica Sta Maria Maggiori is also very near, great for us since we want to hear mass daily. But the general area around the hotel is a bit shady. I'll advise to be very careful when walking around esp when its dark.

Overall, we had a good stay considering the price.

The only problem we had... Our air did not work for the first two days of our stay. We kept reporting it, but they did not fix it until the third day. A front desk man told us we needed a remote for it to work, which was a complete lie. When we got back from being gone all day, we asked the young girl at the front desk if they had finally fixed it. She took a very condescending and rude attitude! We were the paying guest, and she is just the help. Our air was broken for TWO days. It was hot and noisy trying to sleep with the window open. We were the ones being inconvenienced, but she made it seem like we were a bother for wanting our air to work. She lacks professional courtesy!!!

The room is conveniently located to the termini. It is also walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The cleaning staff did an excellent job keeping the room clean!! The ladies doing the breakfast worked hard to keep the food out and the area clean.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel. It feels like a safe area. The closer you get to the termini, the less safe the area feels. The hotel is close enough to the station to be convenient, but far enough away to not be in the middle of a shady area.

The bed is a nice size and comfortable. The television is the size of postage stamp. I had to wear my glasses to watch television, but you probably will not be in your room very often, and the television is pretty much a non issue.

So, I’ll do the good bits first: the location is good, next to Termini station. The hotel itself seems to have stopped caring about hospitality a long time ago. The sheets are clean and the room is generally as well. The good bits end there. The breakfast is truly awful. Their coffee machine likely hasn’t been cleaned in forever, so the coffee is thin and terrible. You will have a hard time finding anything worse in Italy. The bread is stale and no fruit in sight,. During our stay, the light burned out in the bathroom. Before the hotel says that we didn’t complain, we didn’t. But when the room was cleaned, they turned on the bathroom light, watched it flicker and did nothing at all. With one day left and knowing the quality of this place, we realize that complaining was pointless. I share this story as an example of a hotel that exists purely to prey on tourists. There is always somebody to fill a hotel room in this part of Rome, and the hotel seems to know it. So, they do the absolute minimum. It’s an expensive place and frankly, go someplace else.

Great Location, Well Priced, Caring Staff.

A well used Hotel, some scuff marks around the place. It has old time charm, and excellent reception staff. The young lady on reception, Mellissa, spoke excellent English, a must for us as our Italian is non existent unfortunately. She responded with interest and care to our every request for information, and in particular to organise the repair of the lock to the safe in the room.
Clean sheets and towels as necessary throughout our weeks stay. Good Aircon. Fair Quality Wifi. The Breakfast provided a good range of food and drinks, and all you could eat. We recommend it as a moderately priced budget hotel, and would definitely stay there again. So close to the main train and Metro terminal. Walking easily to the Colosseum, and other sites.

Really great budget hotel near to termini

First time abroad in many year and was nervous about the hotel! But although not the prettiest/ most modern and could benefit from a little updating, it was really fantastic for the budget I had. Great location and friendly staff. Rooms small but perfect for what was required. Breakfast was tasty. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, they printed off tickets and allowed us to store luggage on the last day when we had a late flight home. Couldn't recommend enough tbh and would stay again here if I find myself going to Rome again.

The room itself was very pretty and somewhat better than I expected for the price that we paid. But that being said, there was a horrible smell in our room, which smelled of something rotting, or as my girlfriend put it, as 'old people' or 'olives'. On top of that, our heater was broken and was stuck on the highest setting, making the room uncomfortably hot. There was also a baby who continued to scream for hours throughout the night, which the hotel staff refused to do anything about. And the 'queen sized bed' was essentially 2 twin beds pushed together, which kept coming apart making our nights even less restful.

This was a charming old building, not expensive. There's many things that would've made it a better hotel. A few upgrades. A couple more pillows, a working (and clean) remote control for the television, a good cleaning and proper maintenance would make this a great hotel. Overall it was good value - we needed a place to sleep.

If you want to stay close to the train station then this hotel is for you, otherwise you can probably find another hotel for your stay in Rome. This hotel is about two or three blocks away from the main train station, the noise isn't bad at all with the exception of construction being done on the street. I don't suspect that the construction will be there forever, so it should be pretty quiet once it's done. There are a few places you can sit down and eat within two or three blocks, there's also a McDonald's that is open 24 hours right across the street from the train station. There is also a supermarket that is open from 0700-midnight that's close to the Basilica that's down the street, good to buy water, soda, and snacks if you want to save some money. The room is older and bathroom was decent, just know that the towels they provide feel more like bed sheets. Very small TV if that's important to you and the Wi-Fi did NOT work very well at all.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Cute lil breakfast and very attentive staff. Great window view and fantasic location close to center of Rome.
