Overall, the room was clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. However, the surrounding area is very noisy and it was difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the breakfast was not worth the price as the only hot food available were scrambled eggs and sausages—literally nothing else. Other than that, there were some cold cuts and sweets. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome.

Our stay at the hotel was average and did not meet our expectations. Even though we kept the windows tightly closed, there was significant noise coming from outside, which made it difficult to rest and sleep properly.

In addition, the main issue was the hot water. Our room was on the 5th floor, and the water in the shower was not hot enough, which was very disappointing and affected our overall comfort.

Furthermore, the location of the hotel felt somewhat unsettling. The surrounding area seemed a bit questionable and did not give us a strong sense of safety, especially in the evening.

Overall, we expected a higher standard for the price.

We were obviously upgraded, probably because it was off season, so we had a large room with a large round bed, large tub separate from the bathroom and shower. The Gioberti Art Hotel, across the street from the older Gioberti Hotel, is in an older building, but is very modern inside, completely renovated. Lots of great amenities and the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Only a block from the central train station and transit center it made getting around town on public transit very easy. Near the train station is where the two Metro (subway) lines intersect, again allowing for easy transit. Daily maid service was very nice as was the large, modern shower and bathroom fixtures. Overall, a very nice hotel for a reasonable price in the center of Rome.

We have never stayed at a hotel in our live with such a filthy hotel bathroom (#300). In addition, we were switched three times within 2 days- the first room (#407) had no hot water, so they switched us to #500 but said it's only for one night because it won't be available the next day, but promised us that we will get an equivalent room of #406 (room we booked and paid but never got it). When we came back from sightseeing, we got room #300 (pictures). It's so late so we could only bear with it- the next day in the morning we demanded talking to the manager. The manager on duty came to the room and saw the issues I pointed out (electrical panel next to the bed, the dirty wall, and the dirtiest hotel bathroom we have ever experienced in our travel history), but he did not think they were the issues at all. He said \"so this is the issue?\" and said he won't change our room, but will have cleaners clean the bathroom. By the time we came back at night, the bathroom was exactly the same filthiness as before (pictures were taken from a video I made at that time). We paid for 4 nights and stayed only 2 nights because this was a serious health hazard issue. Please issue a refund.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However the location was so noisy. The vendors on be street were yelling and playing music until 3am most nights. And while its location is super convenient near the train station, that comes with a price of safety and noise. Also the gym was definitely moldy.

I will recommend this hotel. Everyone was polite and accommodating. Big shout to the housekeeper on the 3rd floor very nice. My husband was sick and she asked us if we need anything to call her. Thanks for that. And to the guy who help moving us to a 3 rooms with shower only. Sorry forgot his name. Much appreciated. Breakfast was good too

We were greeted by a very sweet lady and they held our luggage for 4 hours before check in. The room was large and beautiful. We had a huge bed that was very comfortable

The room is not that spotless. We had issues on the toilet seat keeps on moving (not safe), informed the staff but we had to wait ( 2 days) till we checked out and it was never been fix.
Aircon not working when we checked in on Oct 9 to Oct 12 (2 rooms), but it never been fix. Only 1 electric fan available.
Some staff are friendly and some are not.
Breakfast was good and the staff during breakfast are all friendly and helpful.

Traveled with parents and to discover, coats, BP machine, prescriptions were stolen is why i rated this hotel as terrible. I can deal with the noisy city because NYC is the same. We suspect the cleaning crew as we noticed within 20 mins of when we went to 6th floor to eat breakfast, room was cleaned with new towels and made up bed. My full prescription bottles of expensive medications are gone. The night before, some dude on the side of the hot was throwing bottles in the street, yelling and starting fights. The corner rooms smell like sewage.

Breakfast options covered all the basics. Adequate quantities without being wasteful.
Room was more than what we expected for a hotel in an excellent location near Termini station.
The area was expectedly busy at times being the transport hub. Nearby dining options were v good and inexpensive.

We recently stayed at the Gioberti Art Hotel and had a great experience. The location couldn’t be more convenient—it’s just a block from Termini Station, which makes getting to and from FCO, as well as accessing trains and the subway, extremely easy.

Before our trip, I had read that the area could feel a little sketchy, but my wife and I walked all over—both day and night—and never once had a problem or saw anything concerning. We always felt safe.

The hotel staff were wonderful—always friendly and welcoming. Our room was a very good size, cleaned daily, and well-kept throughout our stay. The breakfast was the same each day, but honestly, it was perfectly fine for us. It’s breakfast, after all, and it had everything we needed to start the day.

One thing to note: if you like your room really cold at night, as I do, the A/C may not get as cool as you’d like, especially in the hotter summer months. That said, it was still comfortable enough—we were never sweating or miserable like at other places we’ve stayed.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The location made the entire city easily accessible with just a short walk to the station, the staff were amazing, and our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you to the Gioberti Art Hotel team for helping make our trip to Rome such a pleasant experience!

Super big room. Finally a view! Sometimes I book on Expedia and I get a room with a shaft. It’s happened twice on my trip to Italy. This room was awesome and would stay again. Breakfast however was awful. The to go bag was nothing but crackers and cheap croissants in a bag. I had to ask for a fresh cornetto. They gave us 3 but the breakfast bag to go was I think the worst I’ve seen.

A quirky but well placed hotel, few minutes walk from the termini rail station and great breakfast buffet. Busy road junction but it was quiet in the room. Lovely evening buzz with lots of pavement restaurants on the quieter side streets. Would book again, pleasant and very helpful staff.

We arrived early, around 12pm and they allowed us to check in early since the room is ready. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and very nice. Breakfast is good as well. The location is very convenient, close to Termini, the main train station and bus station. Lots of restaurants and shop around. I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the air conditioning was barely cooling the room. We told the desk and he tried but it was still too warm.
Staff, cleanliness, breakfast and location were excellent. Convenient to Roma Termini which meant we had to get past some not so great areas but that not the hotels fault.
I would definitely recommend if its not too hot or they are able to fix the AC

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and left a very sour impression of our time in the city.

The room temperature was unbearable—incredibly hot, with the air conditioning not working at all. We reported the issue several times, only to be brushed off without any real explanation. It was only on our last night out of four that we were finally offered a room exchange. By then, the damage was already done, and the lack of urgency or accountability was unacceptable.

The reception and management were shockingly rude. Instead of providing solutions, they displayed a complete lack of care and even had the audacity to blame us for “picking a low standard hotel.” Imagine the reception telling guests they made a terrible choice, with nothing that could be done about it! That level of unprofessionalism is beyond belief.

The Italian manager in particular showed utter disregard for guests. He carried himself with a rude, dismissive attitude, as though he was unhappy running the business and couldn’t care less about visitors. Sadly, his behavior summed up our experience here—uncivilized and unwelcoming.

Rome is a beautiful city, but this hotel was a shameful low point of our trip. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want even the most basic standards of hospitality and respect.

The area around the hotel can be a bit sketchy. Keep in mind it is extremely close to the main train station. One of our rooms had a shower that had water backing up into the bathroom. Check in was a bit slow but understandable as a large group of students check out late unexpectedly.

Excellent location close to train and bus terminals. All the good Italian food shops are nearby. Staff is very friendly particularly the guy on the main reception. Saif is very nice person but area around property at night time is full of homeless people but that is not an issue property is cleaned immaculately every day rooms are linens and everything is changed. Breakfast is really good and Jim is small but it serves the purpose.

Our room was a great size on the 4th floor. Plenty of room, Aor Conditioing was a bit weak but this is the same in many places in Rome. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was a great touch and good to start the day with.

No hot water and shower did not work. The staff told us that technician would come and fix it right away - but made us wait 1 hour. That was precious time wasted. We were only in Rome for 1 night! In the end they were not able to fix the hot water and told us to go to their other hotel across the street to shower. Just so happens that it was raining heavily. So we walked across soaked. Also charge us additional surcharge when we checked in on top of the taxes. DO NOT COME HERE

The hotel is in a very unsafe location; lots of homelessness around and the area is very dirty. The air conditioner was not working in our for 2 days and we almost passed out. The breakfast buffet was absolutely terrible, had very little options for food and the smells were disgusting. The air conditioner also did not work in the buffet. Out of the 5 night stay, we only ate at the buffet twice.

We booked 2 different hotels in Rome both near the Termini before and after a cruise and while the other hotel had much better reviews on Expedia - we thought Gioberti was the BETTER hotel. It was EXCELLENT can’t beat the location to Termini - literally across the street. And yes the are has grafiti but was completely safe.

The rooms at Gioberti were HUGE with excellent AC in the room which was ready at 1pm and we took an hour Power Nap on first jet lag day and the room was soooo comfortable.

Breakfast was good and the elevator was larger than the other hotel we booked.

This is a solid hotel.

The shower water ran out from the bathroom wetting the carpet resulting in a mouldy smell in the room. The air conditioning was inadequate for the Roman summer. The hot water in the shower ran out twice in a six night stay. The best thing about the property was the location, being close to the train station.

Our stay here was great. We were looking for a hotel that is near the Roma Termini since we know that we will be getting to and from the Roma Termini station and this delivered. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable to stay in. There were also restaurants nearby to choose from so that is an added bonus.
