NO AIR CONDITIONING....even though their site says they have it. When we were there is was sunny and 80 degrees. We chose this property over another strictly for the fact it said they had a/c. When I went to the front desk, the older gentleman said they wouldn't turn it on until JULY! We opened our window hoping for a breeze but there was so much noise from a nearby restaurant and it made it hard to sleep. I would not stay here again.

The man who is in charge came in our room without our knowledge our first day out. We are two young women and we take certain safety measures when traveling. Our first day in room we left in the morning, with the lights on on purpose (to see if anyone is in the room or had been in the room). When we returned the lights were turned off and there was a random sim card on our bed that did not belong to either me or my friend. The next day my friend and I were sleeping and heard a knock on our door. The knock was not followed by anything so we didn't think much of it. To our surprise, about thirty minutes later, the man in charge fully came into our room without knocking or anything. My friend was in bed wearing underwear while I was in the bathroom taking a shower. The man came in the room and said \"I'm sorry, I didnt know anyone was in here, there's a problem with the AC I had to check.\" There was no problem with the AC. We were shocked that we caught him in the act. He entered our room without our knowledge the day before and did God knows what (our passports, money, and personal things were scattered everywhere.) My friend was too shocked to speak when he came in the room. I finally finished my shower and went to speak to the man about how that is unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely not okay. He was nowhere to found for the next two days. He was actively avoiding us after he got caught.
Also the place smells weird nd the room didn't have any shampoo or conditioner.

Great location next to train station. The WiFi did not work the last day (there were guests in the hallway trying to get a signal and were not successful). There was no signal even by the reception desk. The sound proofing is not great. Except for the WiFi problem, this property is a good value for money.

They were very helpful. giving us good information for our travels around the city. The breakfast was very basic but got us started. Convenient location for both train and metro, Plenty of restaurants in the nearby area, Tiny elevator/ Different hotels at each floor. Again plenty of help and courtesy form the owner and employees.

A no frills hotel close to the train station

This is a no frills hotel. No room service. Very basic amenities. The room is very small. It was however comfortable. The bathroom was fairly clean. The staff were generally pleasant and accommodative. The checkout time at 10.00am is ridiculous however. This is unconventional and unfair. The staff allowed some extension but still it should be at least 11.00. Location is great - 5 minutes walk to the train terminal.

The hotel room was a good size. I've gone to Rome 3 times and this was one of the best. The only thing is that the elevator doesn't go to floor 0 so I had to carry the stroller with all our stuff to the 1st floor to grab the elevator. It's right next to termini station and not too far from the main attractions.

Good location and service

Location is very central and close to Termini. The nice gentleman (Sorry I didn't get him name) at the reception was very kind and obliging. We had to leave very early and he opened the office door so that we could get hot water for our drinks. I would recommend my friends to stay there. The only inconvenience is that you have to lug luggage up some steps before you access the lift.

Nice hotel near to Roma Termini Station

The location was good, very near to the Roma Termini. Lots of shops and restaurants around in the vicinty. However, the lift is not located at the exact ground floor, you need to carry your luggage up 2 flights of steps before reaching the lift landing. Air-conditioning is extra (not sure if is due to now being summer). The toilet gets wet/flooded easily as the only floor-trap is in the shower area. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant experience.

Old rooms, on fourth floor of hotel complex. Toilet seat broken, mould on shower curtain.
Staff were friendly, helped with directions as much as they could with the English language barrier. Location was good, close to train station and restaurants, however if you have other choices I would stay elsewhere.

Small hotel close to the train terminal

Great location just two blocks from Rome Termini Train Station. Many choices of restaurants right there on the street. The room is very small. The bathroom and shower are tiny. Two of the four nights there were noisy parties going on down the hall.

It was overall an average experience. Even if close to Termini, it was hard to find the hotel especially after a long day and the hotel is not very known in the region... The hotel is in one building with others, very small which makes us wait for the tiny elevator between levels... The breakfast buffet was good, we had a problem in hot water solved after 2 hours which was a bit stressing after a long day
I personally do not recommend this hotel for a long stay, one night out of the whole stay is bearable

Wonderful Stay

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights in a quadruple room. we really enjoyed this hotel. The location was perfect because there were so many restaurants and it was a quick walk to Termini station. Plus you get a nice little breakfast every morning and you can store your luggage after check out. The staff was very nice and helped us with anything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

The owner charges extra for air conditioning

The hotel claims to have air conditioning in the description, but the hotel owner asked for 5 euro when we wanted to turn the air conditioner on. This is the first time I've been asked to pay extra to turn on the air-con, even though at last he offered it free of charge after we protested.

terrible feelings in this hotel

We had a really unhappy stay. Firstly, the door of our room could be shaked by hand which made us feel unsafe. Secondly, the free breakfast is really cheap - only a few of bread and limited boiled eggs - not enough for late guests. Thirdly, and the most important thing is the staff is watching on us all the time when we were having the breakfast. Forthly, their attitudes are really unfriendly.

It Was Weird

The location right outside the hotel was okay, but it was really close to everything which was very nice. We could walk everywhere and Termini station was 3 minutes walking away which gets you to the airport. But, the room was small and not very clean. The curtains were dusty and the beds were so hard. The hallway smelled bad, like body odor covered with cologne. The elevator is small so you basically need to use the stairs. You go up two floors to get to the \"lobby\" which is small and is connected to the hotel restaurant and then the rooms are another two floors above that. Didn't eat there so can't say anything about that. The room was just very outdated, not very nice. Also, we wanted to leave our luggage since our flight was at night and check out was at 10:30 am but all they had for us was leaving our bags on the floor in a hallway next to the restaurant. Overall, wouldn't stay there again but would probably find another hotel in that same area.

Interesting hotel

This was the first hotel on our Europe trip. It is located near the main train station, Termini. Walking to the station, you'll pass streets with quaint shops, outdoor seating, and bakeries. Unfortunately, the block the hotel is on doesn't feel as nice or safe. Still, we never had a problem walking around at night. The hotel itself is a little hard to find. There is no sign outside, only within the courtyard that you'd have to find to get to the hotel. Once you find it, walk up one flight of stairs in order to take the small, 2-person elevator from floor 0 to the lobby. An impersonal man will greet you and inform you of a daily tax (per person) that is to be paid at check-out. You may discover that air conditioning is extra. The room itself was fine. Days were hot, but the nights were cool and we slept fine without A/C. However, the lights were a bit difficult to work. We just had to play with this \"key\" to get it to work. Be warned that if you book online and your reservation comes with certain perks (like wifi or breakfast), it seemed like the person behind the desk will not give you information pertaining to these perks unless you ask for it.

Great location; that's about it!

PROS:
- Great location and close to the Termini train station. Made getting around easy and convenient.
- Bed was comfy and firm to my liking.
- Wi-Fi in the room.
- Breakfast: Not great variety, but enough to start off the day. Included cereal, toast, some sweet bakeries, boiled eggs, coffee, tea, and weird grapefruit juice (don't drink!).

CONS:
- No A/C. Was really hot and stuff in the summer. Couldn't open the window as it faces the street (too noisy).
- Room was stuffy and dirt.
- Bathroom had mold and dirt around shower and sink (look at photos).
- Fan provided is old, dirty, and very dusty.
- Fridge worked, but if turned too high, then it's really loud.

Good Hotel..Bad hospitality

The condition of the hotel is good. But you might face some serious issues if you are English speaking customer. In my experience, the lady assisting us while checking in was very hospitable, however the gentlemen we met in the evening trying to inquire about taxi services to Mestre train station/airport was very pricey. He claimed to not understand single word in English and replied only in his native language. However. next day early morning while checking out, he was teaching me how to talk in English. There was no need for this hypocrisy.

The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to all the main sites. It is clean and comfortable and if thats all you want you won't be disappointed. The breakfast is adequate but does not offer much choice. We stayed in a room next to the reception area which was noisy as you heard the door bell and the reception staff talking early in the morning and late at night, so would suggest you ask for a room away from this area.

This is your pick on a low budget vacation

This is by far the best money can buy for a low budget hotel in Rome. I have done few places but this one offers much more for the equivalent price. The place is super clean, in a quiet environment, on a nice street. The place is held by a group of people from India, they are very pleasant and easy to deal with.

The rooms offer are clean so are the private bathrooms. Sincerely, I will keep this address for my next visit. I was in Rome to learn Italian and by myself, this place was perfect ! (Except for the terrible coffee served with the breakfast but that I can live with...)

Quand nous sommes arrivés, il n'y avait ni électricité ni eau, nous ne pouvions pas utiliser la douche, la chaleur était très forte. Nous devions partir et revenir le soir et heureusement, la lumière est revenue. Nous étions 4 personnes à payer plein tarif, ils se sont seulement excusés (L’hôtel) Il nous semble qu'ils devraient restituer une partie de ce qui a été payé.

Das Hotel Ferrarese liegt zentral und sehr nah an Roma Termini Bahnhof! Das Gebäude ist von außen nicht gerade sehenswert, aber die Zimmer selbst sind neu renoviert,sehr sauber und ordentlich! Wir würden es wieder für einen Citytrip wählen!

I guess the bad comments on google are just bad reviews. I was expecting something really bad, and the place is very good.

L utilisation de la climatisation faisait disjoncter l'alimentation électrique il faisait 39 degre dans la chambre le technicien nous a demandé de laisser les fenetres ouvertes et de ne pas utiliser la climatisation sachant que dehors la température est plus élevée qu en intérieur . Le descriptif met rn avant la climatisation c edt vraiment une arnaque je n ai pas pu dormir de la nuit
