The staff was very courteous. However, I had an issue with the toilet constantly running and the concierge on duty did nothing while the late night concierge got the job done. Despite this setback, I will probably choose to stay here next November.

The hotel is not clean - fungus/mold in the shower, stains on the walls, and what looked crumbling plaster on the carpet. Bathroom door was partially broken, security lock on room door was broken. Could hear everything everyone was saying in adjacent rooms and in the hallway.

The photos they publish have nothing to do with reality, it's a deception, the bathrooms are disastrous, you have to enter sideways, a large person can't fit in there, the air conditioning doesn't work and the room, to say small is an understatement.

HORRIBLE. This IS NOT a 4 star hotel, more like 1 check. There is no breakfast voucher or renovation to dining area as listed. There were dirty towels in the room. The hotel is poorly maintained. Bathrooms tiles are falling apart. One thin linen on beds. Power went out and elevator out longer.

Stayed at this hotel from 13 January 2025 to 16 January 2025.

My experience - If I could give a minus 5 star, I would.

Where do I start? I had booked a single room for the duration. This room can induce claustrophobia in people who never had it before. The walls are scratched and has several stain marks. Rushed to the reception and requested another room. The receptionist's attitude was rude to say the least. He demanded 80 euros to upgrade to a double room. It was 9pm and I had a long day. I paid 80 euros and he gave me key to the upgraded room. It was larger, relatively. I left my bags in the room and went out to get something to eat. Came back to the room, went to shower and I smelled human feces in the bathroom.

I couldn't take it anymore. I called the reception and reported this. The receptionist came to inspect the bathroom. He was unconvinced and I pointed the bits on the bathroom floor, yet he still didn't seem to believe me. Then he said I can get another room, but I'll have to go down to the reception to collect the key. No apology, no politeness, no basic decency.

He was rude and his attitude was such that as if I was lying.

By the way, unless you call reception and report that there is no hot water, there won't be hot water to shower.

A place to sleep. For those who complain about this property; you should know exactly what you are getting for what you paid (1/2 the price of other 4 star hotels) making this an actual 2 starts, but enough to get your sleep after a long day touring Rome. Area kind of sketchy (all of Termini area is) but never felt unsafe, and surprisingly, lots of restaurantes around.

Our stay at the Champagne Palace Hotel in Rome was far from ideal. The hotel was dirty, and the noise levels were quite high, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The staff was generally unfriendly, which made us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. Additionally, there was no elevator at the entrance, which was particularly inconvenient for handling luggage. For the price we paid, it felt overly expensive considering the quality of the experience we received. The only positive aspect was that it was the only hotel available at the time, but in hindsight, we would have preferred not to stay there at all.

Hotel is old and need for some upgrades, the ac in our room was noisy and we have to set a low speed because the noise, so, the didn't get cold enough. Also in the morning we can Heard everything in the street even a small talk. I'll not book again.

The not so good: Upon check-in, my booking was not recognized in relation to room type. Though the situation was finally corrected, we were not off to a great start. Obtaining an additional room key was a stumbling block - still not sure why. We had to request a change of bath towels several days into our stay. Though the request was readily supported, it was odd to have to place the request. The hotel has a beautiful top floor, with lovely views and really nice decor. The downside - the restaurant was currently closed (for renovations? not sure), but it was accessible, and a nice place to sit and relax. Lastly, the hot water was inconsistent - it comes, leaves, and returns. And with a VERY small shower, you just need to bare it.

The good, was that there was one individual at the desk that always made the effort to assist.Too, this location was very convenient, with numerous restaurants in close proximity, and a simple, 2-block walk to the Termini station.

Overall, the cost was high for the quality of the hotel, somewhat limit service, and without a restaurant. But the comfort of the bed and bedding, along with the excellent location, made it worth the stay.

The room looks NOTHING like what they advertised in the pictures. From the pics you can see a desk, a window and a bed, BUT IT CAME ONLY WITH THE BED, AND NO SPACE EVEN FOR THE OTHER AMENETIES THEY ADVERSTIED. Worst even, the hotel staff is really rude, not only to me but to the other guests as well that I saw - some of them need some serious anger management courses too. The hotel was dirty and the furniture looks very cheap. I woudln't recommend anyone, specially if you will spend alot of time in the room (it doesn't even have sunlight!), even if the location is central- but they might scam you with the rooms!

The Hotel is in need of upgrading , although the recpetion area was ok , the hotel is tired and shabby .
My single room however was disgraceful . It was barely more than a cupboard and the bed not a full single , A cabinet had cigarette burns but the bathroom was truly terrible . There was thick black mould around the base of the shower tray and heavy staining up the sides . The toliet too was very stained and unpleasant . I would have left but they had no other room available . So I put up for 3 nights . I can provide photographs . The room should not be let out. Perhaps they do not care as I was their on my own.

A very bad example of a 4 star hotel. No kettle in room, one plug socket, faulty leaking ac, non functioning, in both our rooms, Faulty fridge and tv. very poor hygiene, no water supplied, very poor customer service. No room service. Dirty carpets, walls, curtains and bathroom. Dark dirty, smelly rooms. Hotel bar is just for show. Entire hotel, except the entrance needs tlc. I have stayed in camping sites with better amenities. See pics and vids and judge for yourself. I regret my stay here. Probably best to avoid, learn from my mistake. Fyi check out is at 10? Images on hotel booking sites seem to be very misleading.

Hotel.com unable to help as they are middle men and only make booking on behalf of client ???

In main tourist area around station, the single room was smaller than anticipated but big enough. Bed was really comfortable and the shower was great, hot and powerful. Staff always made up the room and replaced towels, however late I left for the day. Front desk staff were helpful too.

I got a superior room and expected more than a bed and cupboards and small fridge, there was a kettle and tea and coffee (not much) but no milk. It's location was ideal as it was very central making it easy walk to any of the major sites.

It was central. Staff couldn’t be bothered - there were three people from separate rooms complaining about not having hot water as we were checking and when we got to our room we had no hot water. We asked staff for help on how to get somewhere or suggestions on places to eat….. their responses and body language said everything…. Couldn't be bothered…. I think i have only said this about two other places and i have traveled extensively for both pleasure and business globally…. Book somewhere else

Take your pick: a hot room and quiet or, open windows/nice breeze and hobo fights/sounds of broken beer bottles outside all night long. Dont recommend other than great location.

The queen size room didn’t even allow space for two carry on bags. The shower leaked outside of the shower if you turned up the water. The walls in the room were filthy. The window opened but had blinds that were chained shut so you couldn’t no see out.

Was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was very small. No ice machine. Towels were very small and thin. Unsafe area around the hotel. You had to put in your room card in a slot to get the lights on and the AC, so when you leave with your card the AC turns off. So when you come back your room is hot.

It really was the tiniest room I have ever had in years of travelling, one single bed. No way you can open any door (washroom, main or closet) if your luggage is not on the bed. And I had a view on the back emergency stairs lol! On the + side, location was awesome, 6 mins walk from Roma Termini. Room was quiet, had a good sleep (2 nights) and washroom ok (although some mildew at the bottom of the shower door). No way this is a 4* but it did the job.

The location is the only good thing about this place. 5 minutes walking distance to the train station.
BUT the room was terrible.
Moldy shower curtain and walls, very dirty blanket, not even folded, in the closet, very dirty floors, and etc.
If you don’t care about the place you’re staying and you just want somewhere close to the train station, this might be your choice but I still think you may be able to find a cleaner space in the areas

It states that it’s a 4 star do not believe this! It’s not even a 1 star. It’s in a very high crime area as well.
The rooms were dirty and had no amenities, you couldn’t even get a coffee. Just a machine. Overall it is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and it wasn’t cheap! Do yourselves a favour and skip past it.

I don’t know how this is rated as a 4 star hotel. It definitely shouldn’t be advertised as such. Not sure when it was inspected by anyone last but it is more of a motel, not hotel type stay. The room was old ( which you can see from their pictures ) but clearly not well maintained, the bathroom was also old and dirty( soap scum on the tiles, mold/ mildew in the grout). If you move the mattress a bit the box spring underneath is covered in hair and all kinds of other gross stuff. The towels they give you are more like sheets/ table cloth. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Bad decision - misleading pictures of property

This hotel is absolutely not worth the cost! Once you get to your room, it’s nothing like the pictures, it smells, and the bathroom is too small for toilet and shower. The towels are like dish towels. There is no breakfast offered. The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location for Rome Termini. I would not stay here again.

I would suggest to replace the mattress of room 113. It looks too old and uncomfortable.
They were also “saving” with the soaps. They haven’t replaced the used units. We had to ask for additional unites in the reception desk.

The walls had molde and water damage, the shower was clogged and even after we reported the problem for 2 days nothing was done about it. The fridge was also damaged and we lost our food also reported for more than 2 days and nothing was done about it. The hotel is close to everything but it is in very poor conditions. !!!

It was horrible. We got there and our room was not clean, they change us to another room and the AC didn’t work. Outside was 99f. Our room came with one dirty towel. I had to ask over 5 times to get two clean ones for my 3 nights stay! The room was dirty and old. The shower curtain had mold. It was a horrible experience. We had to sleep with the windows open and I got mosquito bites all over. Tv didn’t work. And if I plug to charge my cell I couldn’t plug the the tv that didn’t work! I would love to get a refund. I don’t know how Expedia allow such a low quality place like this. I had stay in hostel

DISGUSTING HOTEL. RUN AWAY. NEVER BOOK HERE.

We asked for our room to be cleaned every day, and they either did not do it, or just made the bed, never changed the sheets, never vacuumed, never brought clean towels.

STains on wall; hole in the ceiling where a fan might have gone, another hole above a door with wires sticking out, presumable for a light fixture.

Just utterly disgusting place. You can do A LOT BETTER elsewhere. DISGUSTING

Property is old, nevertheless the bathroom was missing the shower door (hotel implemented a temporary solution with a long curtain that covered the drain. Toilet had little black worms at the bottom that probably could be taking care by using bleach. The bathroom smelt humid a little bit. The air conditioning was not working and when we requested for someone to fix it nobody fixed it. We had to sleep with the windows opened and it was a busy noisy street 2 blocks away from Roma Termini.

What we liked was that it was about a 20 minute walk to the colleseum !!

Everything was around you , if you were prepared to walk !!

Only downside was breakfast was very limited unless it’s a typical Italian breakfast which I don’t think somehow!!

Other than that staff were pleasant, enjoyed our stay

We were on the sixth floor with a balcony what a view !!

It was ok but the refrigerator wasn’t working and in that heat you want to keep things cold plus the safe wouldn’t lock, we reported it to the desk and were told someone would look at it the next day, but nobody turned up, and I don’t think I was being unreasonable by thinking someone should.
