Estuve por 3 noche 4 días y la estancia del cuarto horrible. La sábanas no estaban cambiada el olor era a sudor mix como de cuando alguien se mete a la cama con ropa mojada a humedad. Tuve que sacar 2 sábanas limpias del carro de las de servicio para poder dormir bien sin ningún olor. La ducha estaba sucia. Yo no uso maquillaje y cuando abrí la tuaya que ponen debajo del lavamos la tuaya tenía maquillaje horrible.
El personal no es muy agradable las personas del buffet hablando alto sobre unos vasos que otro mesero comió y que no era de él dando actitud y después hablando sobre unas botellas de vino me imagino igual que porque lo habré y eso de muy mal gusto estar escuchando esas clases de conversación. Después en la mañana cuando estaba tomando mi desayuno me pasar par de cucharadas por los pies. Muy feo eso si por lo menos el lobby está muy limpio pero lo demás horrible. La comida no había variedad siempre era la misma opciones. Cuando llegué al hotel alrededor de las 3.30 los restaurantes todos estaban cerrados y tenían que esperar hasta la 6 para que abrieran el buffet.

There were two employees, one of them from maintenance, who had a rude attitude when asked questions. The elevators, both in Building 6 and the main lobby, worked very poorly. I also expected more activities for adults, better music, and more variety in the food, especially at breakfast. I understand these issues may be due to the hotel still being under construction.

Small all-inclusive resort and not a lot of activities happening throughout the day. Paid for a suit with jacuzzi (we couldn't use it since it was broken) and ocean view (with obstructive view and no privacy for the jacuzzi on the balcony). Food was good and beach and hotel clean.

Arrived to a “family friendly” resort with a 4 month old. Absolutely HORRENDOUS
Food is terrible, minimal reservations with same food as buffet just served in a separate restaurant.
Showers are falling off the walls and the shower POURS out into that bathroom.
Mosquitoes swamped in the rooms eating us alive with walls crumbling apart.
Terrible customer service
A “family friendly” resort with no freezers for moms that breast feed and over produce.
Leaking ac units all over the place especially the rooms.
Garbage view that was supposed to be garden view building four facing adults side with a rancid smell.

Safety. Someone tried breaking in our room at 2am. Almost busted down our door and the phone was not working to call the front desk nor was their phone when I used my personal phone. Gave the guy a warning and let him back on the property.

I had a 4 month old with a stroller and the elevators either don’t work or you have one that goes up and one the goes down, in separate areas.
Just a very inconvenient place overall. Bad service, bad food 1000/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Omelette are great cause it’s cooked in front of you. À la cart. Restaurants are good. Overall, the property 4 stars. For the value.

Alberto, Francisco, Blandino y Erick !!!! Bartenders de la barra de la piscina al final. SON LOS ÚNICOS con los que pude compartir y me dieran excelente servicio. Pero el personal es demasiado arrogante y mal trato. Desde el de recepción hasta los room services, yo no volvería otra vez. fuimos un grupo de 12 y honestamente ninguno salió encantado y todos opinan lo mismo del persona y excluyen a los 4 antes mencionando !!!!

I’ve been to the Dominican Republic many times and stayed at both high-end luxury resorts like Secrets, as well as more budget-friendly resorts like Catalonia Bávaro. I’ve also stayed at Lopesan, and unfortunately this resort would probably rank last for me. In my opinion, it’s definitely not a true 5-star resort — although there were still some positives.

Pros:
• The hotel was consistently clean
• Staff were overall friendly and fairly helpful

Cons:
• This side of Punta Cana has a significant amount of seaweed. If having a beautiful beach is important to you, I’d recommend visiting Saona Island or staying closer to Bávaro Beach instead.
• Food selection was quite limited. I’d rate the adults-only side around a 2/5, while the main resort restaurants were closer to a 3.5/5.
• The rooms showed a lot of wear and moisture damage. We noticed many room doors throughout the resort that were visibly damaged and in need of repair.
• Nightlife was very underwhelming — most things seemed to shut down around 10:30 PM.

Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I personally wouldn’t consider this a 5-star resort. I’d rate it closer to a 3.5-4 star at best, and I don’t think it was worth the $2,600 price point. Personally, I’d choose Lopesan or spend a bit more money for a higher end experience.

The resort itself is a 4/5, the food is not bad and the buffet has many options and good for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, the staff are so rude and pushy. We were physically harassed by “animacion” staff to participate in games we didn’t want to. and by physical i mean grabbed and pulled and shushed and tried to force into participating after multiple times saying we’re not interested and no thank you. We also had such a difficult time with the app. we could not set it up or get ahold of the front desk to help us get basic things like towels. multiple times our room was cleaned and all of our towels were taken but not restocked. 20% of the staff were kind and welcoming and made for an enjoyable experience but honestly this resort cannot be 5 stars like advertised if their staff has as bad of manners as what we experienced. We understand there’s amenities available but we were so sick of being harassed everyday to do the spa, play volleyball do excursions or purchase unnecessary souvenirs on the beach. For the most part we did enjoy our stay outside of these experiences. Would i recommend someone else stay here? definitely not but that’s simply because of the way we were treated by staff. and mind you we did tip occasionally when service was good. so to end this review honestly it deserves a 3/5. Good enough but would not return.

First time in DR and i absolutely loved this hotel. I would recommend and would enjoy staying here again. First i was fretting enthusiastically by hotel staff. Received a free room upgrade with a private pool. Now, not everything is always perfect all the time. The shower drain did clog and flood the restroom but it was fixed when the housekeepers came to clean our room. The buffet was good, i was only able to try the Peruvian and Teppanyaki restaurant both were good. I love that hotel is not as big as other ones, the second pool is where i spent most of my time tanning, perfect for those enjoying vacation without kids. The beach access is beautiful also, i did spend a couple mornings watching the sunrise with a walk along the beach. Hotel staff was awesome the bartenders at the pool also have such fun and welcoming energy.

The first thing that turned me off from this place was the glass partition in the bedroom that looked directly into the bathroom shower area. We had a few problems in the room that required maintenance to come.
The pool areas were excellent, always clean with plenty of chairs. The activities people were great. Lots of fun there.
There is several restaurants on the property. Most were just ok. The best was the Asian restaurant.
The beach was nice, plenty of chairs there as well. The service staff there was great. Very friendly and quick.

I had a great stay at Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and treated guests very well throughout my visit. The resort itself was beautiful, but the highlight for me was the beach—the white sand was absolutely stunning and made the experience even more enjoyable.

I also tried several of the restaurants, and the food was consistently good with a nice variety of options. Overall, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and I had a wonderful time. I would definitely consider coming back in the future.

This was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. This was my first solo trip out of the country. I’m a 30 year-old single female. from the time you step onto the resort, you are welcomed with good energy and a drink; there are so many good things to say I don’t know where to start. The food was delicious. The staff were so friendly always ready to accommodate. The overall energy and experience was 10/10. I’m planning my next trip right now and quite frankly I just want to go back here. The staff at the lobby wasn’t welcoming and the rooms needed maintenance done, not well taken care of, the water was shut for over an hour and we weren’t notified which was upsetting. The restaurants didn’t have any AC, employees and customers were sweating like crazy while the employees at the offices in the Lobby were under AC on full blast which I found unfair for staff members working at the restaurants. The only positive note on this hotel is that the team members on the lobby bar did a great good in serving customers, the drinks at the lobby were good.

Nataly muy amable muy simpatica en la piscina son muy buenas, grandes y Idelsy perez en una chica muy especial y muy atenta nos encantó en el comedor todos muy atentos todos y serviciales en todo el sentido lo único que no nos agrado fue que no hay lugares específicos para las personas fumadoras, ya que hacemos personas delicadas de salud y esto nos perjudica mucho. En el lobby necesitaría un poco mas de aire fresco con abanicos o aires acondicionado ya que hace mucha calor en algunos lugares como en los restaurantes en lo que se espera no sopla la brisa y mucha calor
Los chicos del entretenimientos son espectaculares como Ismael, Abraham y Maria. Nos hicieron disfrutar los ratitos. Que bueno fue lo disfrutamos un.monton. Si regresaría nuevamente

The staff are fantastic! Room is huge with great walk in shower! The balcony is awesome with a jacuzzi tub that, when working, is wonderful( did not work properly and no service ever showed up to fix).
There are some things that need to be worked on for communication with non bilingual guests. We had an issue with transportation that created inconvenience and stress that was a result of security issues. It was handled well by staff when we reported it. Pools are nice the entertainment staff are fabulous
Overall the family property is in need of upgrades however is still a value for what we paid
I will only return to the adult only property as I did experience an unfortunate situation involving room next to ours!

Food: food is better than most places but is still a 5-6/10.

First I will like to start off by saying the staff here is amazing ! Franklin at the lobby bar was very nice to us from morning to night he kept us entertained with conversation and drinks. Also Fernando and Alfredo the bellmen at the entrance of the resort helped us out during our entire stay. With transportation and even recommendations for restaurants and places to go. Ashley at the front desk that checked us in was also very friendly and informative. I honestly want to say the downfall to this resort is not the people. The downfall is the FOODDDDD !!!! UGHHH! It’s disgusting ! We tried the buffet, the Mexican, the sports bar, and the Italian restaurant, everything was horrible. They have no Dominican food everything is Americanized and it is horribly done. Every night we had to pay money for transportation to a restaurant to eat. We tried to eat the food but we always ended up leaving because it was too salty or had no seasoning. The food was never hot it always came out cold or semi warm. The only good thing was the cheese burgers and deserts. They also did not have bottle water anywhere on the resort except the lobby bar or you can call room service. It’s just annoying that you have to bring your own water to dinner or leave the restaurant to go get a bottle water. If you are a foodie and plan on staying at the resort your entire stay I do not recommend this resort. The pools were great. The rooms were great. Spacious living room, 2 bathrooms, 2 king size beds. Loved it

Our rating is based on getting food poisoning from the buffet on day, two of our trip and being sick for the rest of our vacation week. Also the public bathrooms are not clean and only one working sink some toilets didn’t have seat seats, and some stalls didn’t have locks. also didn’t appreciate being loaded into a special breakfast to join a membership to introduce the new wing of the hotel that is being built.

When I checked in they just told me scan my QR code and tell a bellboy to take me to my room. Didn’t get much direction lol. My room had hair everywhere when I got there. Discovered my back door had no lock at all & you could push my front door open without a key card. Didn’t realize until the 2nd to last day… food was always cold at the buffet. Got a burger at the truck on the beach and it was still raw. Some staff also werent the friendliest. Got looked up and down quite often. Spoke in Spanish just to get replied to in English was off putting. The staff at the Italian restaurant were the greatest people I encountered and one of the bell boys.

Just got back from Serenade. The week was all sun. Beach was nice and breezy. Water had a lot of Sargassum unfortunately, but we managed to find open sections in the water where it was clear. The pools and water pools were simply amazing. I think we spend 7 hours there some days. Food was A La Carte were pretty good. The Cut was 9/10, Olivo was 8/10. The buffet was 7/10. House keeping and refilling the mini fridge was spot on. Overall it was a nice vacation and I would definitely come back. Don't believe all the negative posts!! We didn't get sick, we didn't see any bugs. This resort is spotless and the everyone working there was always in a good mood.

The resort itself and the beach are great. However, the customer service is only 2 out of 5. The staff needs to be more friendly and smile more.

There are limited restaurant reservations, and we couldn’t even get to all the restaurants because we couldn’t find a reservation. They don’t even allow people to enter a restaurant without a reservation, even if it’s empty.

Food at the buffet is below mid. Same food is repeated everyday with very low selection.

The kids’ play zone is pay-to-play, with 7 tokens for $10. Most games require 2 tokens, which is inconvenient since it’s an all-inclusive family resort.

The kids’ playground is closed at times when kids aren’t in the pool, so we couldn’t even let the kids play there.

The check-in and check-out process is impersonal, with no smiles or questions about the stay or the experience. This makes you feel unwelcome.

For kids...not to many choices.
The waterparks...kids club was good.
The beach not clean...lots of cigarettes in the sand...rest of food...and a lot of seaweed.....They try to clean but very slow...
Compare with other resort the staff was not friendly...not smile....don't ask anything.....

Recommend this resort only if you have kids who likes to play in the pool and waterpark!
Cleaning can be improved!

1 toddler and 2 adults got stomach flu...

First I would like to stay that the staff was wonderful! This was my second time at this resort but my first time was better. The resort is adding a new section so I feel like the company has cut corners because of this. The food was much better the first time we were there and at that time our favorite place was the steakhouse. This time the steakhouse was absolutely terrible! I would not recommend going there. Overall the food was okay keep in mind everyone has different palettes. But I will say the resort does need to work on getting a nice chef or chefs to overhaul their food especially in the buffet. Coming to the Dominican Republic I would expect to have some authentic Dominican food at least one night a week however that was not an option the entire time we stayed there. They're also insect issues that they need to get better control of. Unless those issues are fixed it'll probably won't be returning to that resort again but again it's not the workers fault we enjoyed them our entire stay. I will say to read some of the reviews that are not high scores as there are some truth to them too some of them.

They have a family resort and an adult resort if you aren’t traveling with children it is best to do the adults resort. Beautiful clean property! The hibachi restaurant was great!

The staff was spectacular. The animation incredible especially Yailin la mas viral & Maria. They definitely made this experience worth the while. Beautiful beach & so many pools. Loved the children’s area which I plan to come back for with my child. This is my second time here & I am so excited to come back very soon. Thank you everyone!!

I was so nervous coming in to this booking after reading a few negative comments right before travel but…. SERENADE BLEW US AWAY!!
We were treated with a blue Hawaiian (which ended up being my drink of choice the whole trip) and someone who came and grabbed our bags and gave us a full property tour. The property is absolutely breathtaking.
The only place that they lack is in customer service and the mild tropical roach situation(which seems pretty common for a bottom floor pool swim up) only a few on the sidewalk after rain.
The customer service was pretty good the language barrier makes it hard but the lady at reservation services was so rude she made me cry on day 2 of our trip. She also ended up being wrong after asking someone else for help.
We had a swim up pool which was FANTASTIC the public pool closes at 7pm so such a great option for a night swim. Booking excursions from the hotel was so easy the people in travel are so kind. The food was OK, not bad but not great. Not bad enough to make you sick but not good enough to rave about. Our favorite was Olivo the Italian!
Overall I would give the hotel a 9/10. We stayed 7 days and will be back again with our kiddos next year to the same hotel.

Reservé y pague por una habitación con jacuzzi exterior, pero el jacuzzi nunca funcionó. Se reportó en dos ocasiones, y nunca lo repararon. Se pagó por una habitación donde no funcionó el mayor atractivo que tenía, y el hotel no hizo por dónde solucionar la situación. Me sentí burlado e inseguro, porque se pagó por un servicio que nunca se brindó, aunque se reportó de manera oportuna desde el primer día.

Los restaurantes de especialidad son limitados, de mala calidad. Es mucho mejor el buffet ordinario. No recomiendo reservar ninguno de los restaurantes de especialidad.

Como suele suceder en estos casos, hay muchas personas ofreciendo desayunos especiales con tal de que compres paquetes adicionales. Son molestos.

El Spa es quizá lo mejor que ofrece el hotel, aunque los costos son un poco elevados.

Rooms were not very clean.

10% of staff were very friendly (Edisa was very helpful)
90% of staff were rude, not paying attention, and discriminating based on race profile (serving better to non-Spanish-speaking people all over the place)

Service in restaurants was very badly organized, they ran out of glasses, cups, forks, spoons, and knives very fast and were not replenishing asap.

Room next door had guests smoking in their terrace, and their smoke could be smelled from our terrace; not sure if hotel has strict policies about smoking in terraces or other open places.

Pools, beach, and night shows were OK.

Fueron unas vacaciones súper agradables la piscina estaba súper los trabajadores siempre atentos y muy respetuosos pero los cuartos no eran mis expectativas de lo que vi cuando hize la reservación, también fue una pérdida de tiempo casi dos horas solo hablando de timeshare aún mi esposo y yo diciéndoles que no estábamos interesados. Mi consejo para las parejas porfavor reserven el Serenade All Suites que es el que tiene más beneficios y muy lujoso el que de verdad vale lo que cuesta. Muchas gracias ☺️
