Really enjoyed our stay at this well located hotel. Very helpful staff. We had a room at the front with a balcony which I would thoroughly recommend . The view across to Galatas is wonderful , peering into all the super yachts as they moor! The breakfast choices were pretty limited but that was the only minor issue

The front desk staff at this hotel is incredible! He was so very helpful providing maps & activity ideas & allowing me to store my luggage until my ferry left & change clothes in the rest rooms. He was always very eager to help - even offering to act as a payment intermediary when the kayaking company would not accept credit card payments. He definitely went above & beyond.
The hotel rooms are very new & modern, right across the street from the ferry & on the main strip. Location could not be better.

If you like yachts, this is the place for you.

This hotel is just over the road from the hydrofoil quay where connections to Piraeus and the other Saronic Gulf islands are made.

Very convenient, just a short walk from ferry arrivals at the port. Staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are a good size. Balcony rooms look straight onto the port which is full of activity. There is also a roof terrace.

This hotel is the PERFECT location especially if arriving by ferry. The view was incredible and the staff were friendly. Small but super clean room and comfortable room. Absolutely safe and I’d stay here again.

The room was large enough so that we were not on top of each other. Bright. Clean. Staff overall was ok. The morning receptionist and housekeeper seemed to be standoffish and appeared to be a little overworked and overwhelmed. However, I would stay here again if there were few options left.

Best Location in POROS

The location is PERFECT. Step out from the ferry and cross the street and up the stairs. No elevator but third floor with balcony has a water-front view that looks like the photo. Clean, great AC, good WiFI and all the restaurants and bars are downstairs in the heart of Old Town.

Beautiful Poros

Stayed for four nights in August. Fabulous location in the heart of the harbour. Sat on the balcony watching the beautiful boats sail in and out. Right in the heart of the bars cafes but not disturbed by noise. Free buses take you to a selection of beaches 5-10 mins away and you can use the facilities at the sister hotel on Askelli Beach.
Such a beautiful unspoilt island just one hour from Athens with lots to see. Completely recommend a visit.

Great Hotel

The Manessi Hotel is situated in a prime location in Poros town. It is a stones throw from all the bars and restaurant's.
The hotel is of a medium size and was quite modern. The staff were excellent and couldn`t do enough for you. I made a couple of request including use of a charger which they sorted in 5 mins. The hotel has good free WiFi and there was a T.V. with satellite connection.
The cleanliness of the hotel and my room was excellent. My only gripe was the room was a little small but it was fine for me. I would recommend paying a little extra for a sea view because the views from my balcony were fabulous. It also came with aircon
I had room only because I could purchase breakfast in the restaurants outside, so I can`t comment on the hotels offering.
To conclude, I thought this hotel was excellent value for money, it was clean and situated in a prime location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Poros.

Great stay at a ‘traditional’ city hotel

The service was excellent.? Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Manessi City Hotel is certainly a grand old gem. The way that she is being cared for should guarantee that she will have a grand older life. If you get the chance to spend some time in Poros treat yourself to a wonderful experience and stay at the Manessi. If you want a balcony room be sure to request it. Sea view does not get you a balcony. It is so pleasant to watch all the yachts on the docks below!!! You should see some fines ones.

Nice and convenient hotel

The hotel located next to port of Poros. In front of it there is the main stop of taxis next to kiosk. In a walking distance you can find a bakery, many restaurants, bars, coffee stores and souvenirs shops. I rated as excellent my stay in the hotel due to friendly environment and helpful reception. The room is even bigger based on the photos I saw.

Small intimate boutique hotel in the heart of Poros.
Very walkwable once you arrive via ferry from Piraeus.

Clean Room and Rooftop Terrace to enjoy the amazing view of Poros beautiful area!
In addition, very close to the Clocktower that strikes every hour and half hour.

I have to especially note that Kyria Katerina was EXCEPTIONAL with her Customer Service of assisting us in any questions we had primarily location of hidden gems in the area. We really appreciated the information of attending the sister hotel where we were able to enjoy the Pool and nearby beach since we were Guests of Manessi.

Lastly, she was perfect in reserving a taxi driver for us to go down to Paralio Astros since I do not drive.

Poros is great, and so is the Manessi!

Poros is a beautiful island a relatively short ferry ride from Athens. Poros Town is charming and peaceful (I was there off-season). The Manessi is just steps from the port, right on the waterfront. I had a view of the boats from my balcony. And the price was good, at least when I went. I’d gladly return. PS Henry Miller, the wro, hung out on this island, and also ravesd about it.

great views of sea , yachts and across to the mainland. very central for shops and restaurants, we were unable to get a room with a balcony, but we had two big opening windows, .the staff were lovely, couldnt do enough. taxi rank just outside and very reasonable rates if you didnt fancy walking to Canali beach.

Stayed there with my wife and my 4 year old. Had absolutely great time. Rooms were excellent, the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. All of this at a great price. Will definitely be staying at Manessi Hotel next time we are there.

Hotel in perfect condition, in convenient location

Perfect location over Poros town waterfront, steps away from both ferry ports, and around the corner from wide selection of restaurants, tavernas, and cafes. Two notes:
1) Breakfast is basic, served in the lobby area and you have to order it a day in advance. You may prefer one of the waterfront cafes for wider selection, better view at same price.
2) Reception is not manned throughout the day; if you will make late check-in, better to inform the hotel beforehand.

Modernised character hotel - great VFM

Manessi is excellent accommodation. Central - right opposite Flying Dolphin dock. Poros itself was surprisingly interesting. Wished I had booked more than one night at Manessi.

Great location - worth paying for the balcony room

Had a pleasant stay here for 10 days this September. Hotel staff were helpful and welcoming. Room was great with a balcony overlooking the harbour (we paid extra for this so cannot comment on the basic rooms). As we were staying room only I don't know about their food/drink options. Room cleaning was hit&miss, forgotten towels, tea etc. but these were quickly rectified. Would recommend this hotel for a visit to Poros and many stunning sunsets on the balcony

We only had one night in the hotel as we were traveling .
We found the staff most helpful.
As we were leaving very early the next morning,the manager arranged coffee and cake for us as we would not have time for breakfast .
Nice view over the port from our bedroom.

Very nice hotel!

I cannot say enough about this hotel. The rooms have an excellent view overlooking the harbor. The manager is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet and the rates are excellent. This was the nicest hotel I visited while in Greece and Poros is a great place to visit.

Good, but a couple of issues

My first stay here which was upon recommendation. The reception is not where you would expect it. The actual reception is at street level, not the lobby. The recently refurbished hotel offers a clean and tidy contemporary look, although the red stair carpet was continually very dirty during my stay. The first 'double' room offered was more like a single. The bed was against the wall, meaning one guest has no choice but to climb over the other. The room was also very small, so if booking for two people, avoid room 230. Once moved to 325, things improved. This was more spacious, and had a large balcony with great views of the island and the sea. Air con worked well, large fridge, decent bathroom, albeit with a tiny shower. Drains did back up and flood the floor though. Fast WiFi was a bonus though. Overall, reasonable value for €45 a day.

Very nice hotel. Very nice views. Some of the rooms a little on the small size and showers do flood a little. But staff were very helpful and polite. Although a little noisy at night it was an enjoyable stay on a beautiful island.

Simple elegance with a view!

Our stay at the hotel was most enjoyable. The decor, the staff and the location were all what we have come to expect in our several trips to Greece . The combination of modern sophistication and classic simplicity can only be called elegant. The convenience of the location and the kindness of the staff made our stay most pleasant, and the view from our room was stunning.

Perfect location right on the harbour, nice clean rooms. Modern interior. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Very good value indeed, extremely good price with breakfast included. I was really late for breakfast but they served me some anyway. Really kind people. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Fine, but not making much of an effort

Everything about this hotel was promising, staring with the incredible location on the waterfront and at the foot of the hill, beneath the clock tower. The room was small but clean. Everything was there, but not all working 100% for instance the shower was gloriously complicated with all sorts of different nozzles and settings, none of which worked well. The large fridge wasn't working. The reception desk gave the impression of just not being 'switched on'; I left some luggage with them on the day we checked out, only to find on collection that it was in an unlocked cupboard that anyone could access on walking in from the street (the desk was unstaffed and I was given instructions via the desk phone about how to retrieve my bags)

It's all there and we got a good deal on the room, but the overall impression was that no one was trying very hard. Maybe it was the end of season complacency.

A Good Hotel

I was quite satisfied with the Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided a oog service. The room was basic but comfortable and the location of the Hotel is fantastic, literally opposite the ferry port. On the Expedia website it is a bit vague in regards to whether this hotel comes with breakfast included so that needs to be made clear on the information provided as we had to clarify this with the Hotel but overall I was very satisfied.

In the heart of the Port City. Loved it!

This hotel is the only one that has been updated recently and affords you the opportunity to have the Port City at your fingertips. All means of transportation are just a steps away. I loved being able to get up in the morning and open my balcony door to an amazing view of the water and the mainland across the way. The staff at the hotel was simply WONDERFUL! The rooms are very clean and are cared for daily. I would never stay anywhere else on Poros. The local food is also something you will remember! All hand made by local owners. Have fun at the Hotel Manessi. Pat.

The hotel is nice and is located in a good area. I was not happy with the way the hotel manager asked me to pay for breakfast(that was supposed to be included), two days after arriving. This was the only bad hotel experience that we had in 4 weeks in Greece.

Convenient Location

This hotel is across the street from the ferry dock. A great view of the harbor. The staff was very friendly and locally knowledgeable. Did not like the fact they demanded to hold a passport at the front desk. Demand that they give it back and give them a driver's license or other ID instead.

The staff was not at the desk on 2 occasions during our one night stay. This caused us to go out for breakfast even though we paid for it with the room. They did not offer to compensate us for that. Overall, we would probably stay there again and do recommend it. If you do stay here, you will need transportation to the beaches as they are not within walking distance.
