The hotel room was really lovely. It was bigger than other accommodations we had in Greece; very clean and comfortable with hangers and drawers and places to put our luggage. There are outlets near the beds for plugging in devices. A fan and an iron were available upon request. The breakfast in the beautiful courtyard was very nice and extended until 10:30 which we really appreciated so we didn't need to rush the morning.

We spent 5 days in Hydra staying at this lovely hotel off the beaten track of the port area. Our room was simple but very comfortable with a view of the hillside. The location was very quite and only a few minutes walk to port and shopping. The cafes were plentiful in the area.
Our host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The most outstanding thing about this hotel was their amazing morning breakfast. Each morning it was a different selection of scrumptious dishes. It started our day off full and happy till dinner time. the whole exper ience at Hotel Mistral was exceptional and memorable.

It is located a short walk up from the center of activity at the port. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing.

Fantastic quiet hotel 5 minutes from main ferry area. The clatter of donkeys hooves on the road outside on their way to pick up the latest arrivals off the ferry was an instant relaxer. The breakfast selection of freshly cooked food was incredible. Definitely recommend the Hotel Mistral and would certainly stay here again. Many thanks.

Quiet, comfortable, and convenient
We had a fantastic 2 night stay. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable- combined with Hydra’s incredible quiet, we got amazing sleep. Hotel is set a little further back than most, though still in the flat part of town, so a perfect balance of easy to get to but away from the fray. The provided breakfast was a huge spread, freshly prepared including pastries made on site! Our only problem was we can’t eat a lot of sugar and carbs first thing and that’s mostly what was served. First morning there was also an omelet so no problem, but second morning only a soft boiled egg which we don’t care for so we had to supplement later. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful and let us keep our luggage there late on departure day. Highly recommended!!!

Hotel in a great location on the island, not far from port. Breakfast was wonderful. It was different in that it wasn't buffet - you sat down and were served. however, there wasn't a menu from which to choose. The owner served you breakfast each day and you didn't know what you would get. There was plenty to choose from so anyone could enjoy something that was served. I looked forward to this each morning - all the food was amazing! And coffee was perfect !!!

Our room was on the top floor with an amazing view of Hydra and the sea. It was a large suite type that slept 4. Beautiful, modern amenities in a old very charming building. There are no cars on Hydra, but donkeys or carts can help you get your luggage up the 5+ minute walk. Jenny and her staff were very helpful. They made and served a fantastic breakfast out on their lovely patio.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at The Mistral. It was conveniently located, perfect views but just far enough from the waterfront to keep it calm and quiet. Breakfast was exceptional - don't overlook the small glass of Yogurt Mousse - what a treat. And the warm vegetable soup was unusual and very good. If you are looking for a hidden gem of a hotel, the Mistral is it.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Hotel Mistral and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a small , but very efficiently family run hotel situated just a few minutes walk up from Hydra Port. We were not disappointed at all by the incredible breakfasts , which were definitely much appreciated by all the hotel guests. We definitely recommend Hotel Mistral when visiting Hydra.

What a wonderful stay. Theo is a charm, and his breakfasts are amazing. Hotels.com could do a better job with directions, their app said we were there when we were five minutes away. Not the fault of Hotel Mistral for that though. Would absolutely stay there again! Can’t go wrong with this one. Believe the reviews!

An outstanding property, very committed owners and staff. Breakfast prepared by the owners was served on a patio with large floral clay pots and urns was different every day over our 3 day stay. For example a sunny-side up lightly fried egg served on a bed of sauteed greens and onions; yogurt with freshly shredded fruit, a tasty and very light orange cake; best spanykopita we've ever tasted; dish of lentils with veggies etc, etct. Jenny and Theo must have subscribed to Gourmet magazine. They bought the property in a state of disrepair formerly owned by a naval officer and restored it over a 3 yr. period. Had never met the owners prior to our stay.
We certainly appreciated Jenny sharing this info with us and look forward to staying at the hotel again next year when we return to the very beautiful island to Hydra. .

Only bed & breakfast, but the breakfast has to be experienced, as it is unique & excellent.
This is the 3rd time that we have stayed here & it would be our first choice when we visit Hydra in the future.

Very nice hotel. Room was nice size, colorful, and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Beautiful outside terrace for breakfast and/or just relaxing. Located in quiet neighborhood and yet only a five minute walk to the harbor ... good location. Would heartily recommend this hotel.

It was a pleasant surprise that there was someone waiting at the boat to assist with bags & directions to the hotel; otherwise it would've been a difficult walk. Additionally, customer service was excellent in terms of email and verbal communication.

Wow, I just can't say enough good things about Hydra in general and the Mistral Hotel in particular. Theo and Jenny are exceptional hosts and made us feel quite at home. Their breakfast is extraordinary, in both quality and quantity; most days we were so full we didn't want or need lunch! The hotel is an easy 5-10 minute walk up meandering cobbled streets from the harbor, and has a beautiful outdoor courtyard with comfortable chairs and tables. Theo and Jenny showed so much sympathy for her and even washed and dried our soaked clothes for us. If we ever have the chance to return to Hydra, we definitely want to stay here again!

Family of three stayed for three nights
We had the studio apartment on the rooftop terrace and it was fabulous! Postcard view! Jenny and Theos were wonderful hosts. The location is perfect, very quiet and all you hear are roosters , the odd goat bell in the distance on the hill… Church bells in the morning are a wonderful way to awaken. Breakfast was stunningly beautiful and delicious! We’ve spent a lot of time travelling all over Europe and I must say this hotel will be memorable. We would return here in a heartbeat ❤️

Great welcome after long and late arrival into the port. Bags were taken directly to hotel and Theo was there waiting to show us our room and provide wonderful advice for dining. Hotel in quiet part of town with room overlooking its beautiful terrace filled with various plants and foliage. Hosts Jenny and Theo were gracious in making our stay pleasant. Breakfast was served on the terrace providing a great mixture of warm and cold dishes, too numerous to finish, yet providing us a taste of many dishes.

Quaint hotel uphill from harbor in Hydra
Small but clean room in an old, quaint hotel with no elevator. Hotel provided excellent breakfast and held our luggage for us while we hiked and ate lunch until the ferry to Piraeus arrived.

A joyous escape!
We came to Hydra at the recommendation of an acquaintance, who also recommended Hotel Mistral. It was wonderful. Accommodations were very comfortable and spacious, with an awesome view. Staff were very helpful. The sit down breakfast was varied, delicious, and served on the lovely patio. Hydra itself is a car free gem.

The Hotel Mistral was amazing. We have traveled many places and we found Mistral to be welcoming, clean, professional and Greek. Pretty place but rude female owner
The hotel is very nice and the employees were kind and helpful but the female owner was very rude to myself and my friend on two separate occasions. I asked a shop owner in town about this. She said the female owner was known to be a very rude person. Very sad because it is a nice place. I will not stay there again because of her.

Lovely hotel, superb breakfast
The hotel is set a bit further back from the harbour, about a five minute walk. This means it's quieter with less foot traffic and other noise (you can still hear the donkeys and roosters in the morning of course). The courtyard is very pleasant and the breakfasts are huge, varied and delicious. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Brilliant little getaway hotel
We cannot say enough good things about Hotel Mistral. Delightful experience from the secluded yet convenient location to the lovely courtyard/dining terrace to the friendly staff. The breakfasts have to be seen to be believed: multi-course, freshly prepared eggs or crepes, fresh salads, custards, baked goods, soup, juice, just-picked local fruits, all served by the delightful Kara (sp?), who always has a smile. The (great) food just kept coming each morning, which fueled our hours-long walks around the island. We would return in a heartbeat.

We had an amazing experience. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We stayed in the triple on the top floor which was spacious but has lower ceilings (watch yourself if your tall!) but the view from the top floor patio makes up for it! The breakfasts by far are some of the best we've had in Greece. Easy to find and clean rooms - we will stay there again!

We stayed at the Mistral Hotel for 3 nights in September 2016 and found it comfortable, quiet and convenient. The receptionist was friendly and helpful; and the breakfasts were amazing, more like a multi-course Greek dinner! There's a paved garden and lounge residents can use, which was nice.

Great little hotel and a great price
It was super! The room was very nice. The owners were especially interested in us enjoying our stay. Theo's breakfasts were remarkable and diverse. Every day it was different and well done. I told him that it was like Christmas; you knew it was going to be great but you couldn't imagine what was to come next. It started special and we felt sad to leave.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Mistral! First of all - Hydra is amazing. So add in a quiet, comfortable, clean and well-run hotel and I was in heaven. We had two rooms on the top floor. They had wonderful views of the city and we enjoyed the rooftop deck right outside our door.
But one of the best things about the hotel is the luxurious breakfast. Every morning was a different breakfast and it consisted of eggs of some kind, pastry, bread, fruit, veggies, juice, coffee/tea and sweets (you're on vacation, time to live it up!). We loved sitting in the gorgeous and tranquil courtyard to enjoy the breakfast. You'll really feel like you're on vacation.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to Hydra!
