We had one night at this hotel and we enjoyed it a lot. It’s a few minutes walk from the port that you can reach by ferry from Galatas and it only cost €4 for a car and one person. The hotel had its own parking lot and a nice swimming pool. It also has their own little beach, which is sandy and clean

This is my 4th time staying at New Aegli. I like coming here in late September, or October. The prices drop dramatically and the weather is perfect. Also, I really enjoy the breakfast buffet and EZ access to the beach for swimming and for drinks served directly to your lounge chair. They provide resort quality service at a great price.

Staff at hotel were very unhelpful and mean. The manager couldn't even show up to talk to us when we requested to see him/her as we had issues with our booking. I have stayed at many hotels and this is by far the worst. Go elsewhere if you want to enjoy the island. There far more better places. It is called a resort but it is a tiny place with outdated rooms and facilities with staff who care more about their profit margins rather than the customer.

We booked a room with ocean/beach view and was given the worst room available, small and view of the parking lot. They said all rooms were filled. Will never stay there again, very disappointed with front desk, said nkthing could be done even thought we paid for ocean view which was clearly noted on our reservation. Hotel did nothing to make it better other than free breakfast which was terrible. Yippee.

The staff was so rude and disinterested, especially at the front desk, but also at the beach and restaurant, that they ruined whatever good there might have been. Also the woman at the front desk tried to rip me off upon check out. When I caught her she said it was her mistake and changed the bill to the correct (lesser amount) but failed to offer an apology, Upon check in they failed to welcome me or explain anything about the hotel, and upon check out they failed to say thank you or wish me goodbye. Just totally rude and horrible people. The room was clean but small and aging and the outside "garden" on my patio was cheap astro turf and plastic vines. Not even one small bottle of water in the room. Totally lame,

This resort is in a great location! The views were stunning and the water was gorgeous. The room was mostly good! The bathtub only had a shower attachment and the curtain covered about 1/2 of the tub, which was a little tricky. We chose to eat at the hotel restaurant for all our meals since we wanted to relax. The food was subpar, but the town looked like it had some good options for dining! We gave an 3 for cleanliness since there were dirty dishes left in the hallway for several days that were pretty gross. The room was clean though. Overall this stay was worth the money for its great location! Would recommend!

This is a great property. It's perfectly located, right on the beach with clear blue water. It's also within walking distance to several restaurants. The pool is great and there's even a play area for kids. The food, staff and service are also fantastic! It's only about 5 euros to Uber or take a taxi to or from the port which also has plenty of restaurants.

Beautiful beachfront hotel, 30-40 minute walk from the Poros Harbor where the fast ferries from Pireous Port stop on their way to Hydra and other islands. This hotel has nice accommodations, a very attentive staff, and you are steps away from a beautiful beach w/ clear water and excellent swimming conditions.

Hotel is very outdated, you can hear people talking in the other rooms, we had the do not disturb light outside our room but anyhow the made knocked the door every day.
Managing the water temperature in the shower requires a PhD in Physics, it’s just impossible to get the right water temperature it’s either burning hot or iced cold. Location is good, beach in right across the street. Staff is polite and will try to help. There are no iron or ironing board on the rooms, just a shared one in the lobby which I had to wait 2 hours to use.

This is a fairly kept older hotel near a nice beach, the rooms are a little small and toilet is small but everything works ok.
The receptionist did not know the details of our reservation until we showed it to her on a phone. The service is very good and the views all over the property are good. There are no screens on the sliding doors to the veranda so you must keep ac on for comfort.
Overall the property is ok for the price.

Very nice beach front location, fantastic view form the room with balcony overlooking the stunning bay. 20 minutes walk into the town centre or 4 Euro taxi ride. To the port and main town. The rooms could do with a slight refurbishment in places, however for the price we paid, it’s great value.
The Lady called Cristina at reception was very helpful, and the bar staff are good. We didn’t try food at the hotel, but the drinks are very reasonable.

Great hotel near Askeli. It’s about 1.5 mile walk from the port. We didn’t know there was a taxi so we walked. It was hot and a bit uncomfortable. So highly recommend you get a taxi (4€) the hotel has beach access but fills fast. There a a few beaches within walking distance. Morning breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable

A very enjoyable stay at New Aegli Resort

My friend and I had a lovely time at New Aegli. Even though we didn't have a very good view, the room was comfortable and clean. The blinds could do with some updating.
We enjoyed breakfast every day, made the most of the loungers on the beach and had dinner in the restaurant twice which was very good.
The staff were all helpful and friendly at all times. We would most definetely stay at New Aegli Resort again

Great value hotel . Rooms are dated but very clean - sea view rooms have fantastic little terraces and are the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach or early morning . Bar terraces are the best position on the island . Beach just across the street - small and lots of stones but good position with restaurants and beach beds all on hand.
I would always choose this hotel for a great stay in poros.

Thoroughly enjoyed this resort. Met all our expectations, particularly the location and beach were perfect. Beach just across the road. Loved it so much we extended our stay, which was made simple, as the resort organized the change in our transfer dates. Transfers to and from port also available, just book it in with desk instead of paying for cabs. Great tavernas in town and much cheaper. Only a few minutes with a cab, costing 4€ Early September is a great time of the year, less tourists and weather is still warm enough for the beach across, with many more sun beds available.

Everything was perfect and perfectly fitting the beautiful beach right in front of thr hotel. Facilities were great eventhough their season has not started yet. The breakfast was full of home baked delicious items. Coffee was really smart. The restaurant has amazing food selection. The check in folks were really friendly. There was just this one morning receptionist who was a know it all yet she did not know much (her name starts with A) I think eventually she realised she was not very helpful but even her behaviour could not ruin this perfection. Highly recommended especially for people seeking beauty, comfort and calm.

Hotel was about 5 minute drive from Port. We had a little issue with check in--our room wasn't ready at check-in time and the person we spoke to wasn't very helpful in giving us info on the resort and how our all-inclusive worked. Other people we spoke with were better. After the room was finally ready we found hair all over the bathroom as if the previous person had shaved his whole body.
The room was decent and we had a nice view from the balcony of the beach.
All inclusive had limited food options and the resort only had one restaurant but the food was decent and it was definitely helpful to have that option on the beach.
You have to cross the street to go to the beach (which is not exclusive to the resort) and it was a little crowded but the staff was helpful in finding a seat.
Would recommend for a 1-3 day getaway, probably not longer.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel and also nothing exceptional to report. The room was clean and correct. There was a lack of communication between the front desk and the restaurant about open hours which was a bit frustrating. Our cocktails were undrinkable, and the service around the restaurant convinced us to eat elsewhere except for breakfast which was free. The coffee machine was out of order at breakfast, and the breakfast food only average.
The hotel itself is across a busy road from the beach which is not obvious from the photos, and the beach itself requires protective shoes to cross the sharp stones to swim. We did not find anything of interest in the surrounding area.
Wi-Fi was almot impossible to use.

We were more the pleased with our week stay at the New Aegli. Located across the street from one of the best beaches on Poros. Reception staff, housekeeping and restaurant waiters all offered great service. Everyone helpful. Had a seaview room (209) with amazing view. Small refrigerator, safe in room, flat screen tv, and airconditioning that working well. Balcony had clear glass railing that allows unobstructed view. Breakfast Buffet daily for 8 euros (if you have every day of your stay) or 10 euros for occasional. Lots of choices including several egg dishes, sausage, cold meats, yogurt, cheese, fruit, feta pies, croissants, breads, juice and hot beverages. It is serve yourself 8-10am. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which has an open air terrace as well. Small pool has nice lounge chairs and some shade areas with partial view to the sea. Relaxing lobby area with spectacular views and nice white furnishings. Beach Club across the small roadway has umbrellas and lounge chairs. You are supposed to spend 4 euros on beverages/snacks to use the beach chairs, but as it was off season no one bothered people if they did not. We had some drinks and sandwiches from the snack bar waiter.
The beach has nice clear water with just a few pebbles when you are entering. There are several taverna restaurants right by the hotel along the Askeli strip. It is about 25 minutes walk into Poros Town or 6 euro taxi. There is a grocery store about 10 minute walk on back street.

The hotel is exactly as it says - a resort with plentiful amenities. Not sure about the four star part. Behind the marble facade the walls of the rooms are extremely thin and every noise from above and beside is amplified. Situated on quite a busy road which you cross to access a small beach packed with sunbeds. I would say it's functional rather than luxurious and really lacks atmosphere. It's more of a package holiday place without the warmth which one normally encounters in Greek hotels.

I just completed a ten day say at this beautiful Resort Hotel and it was a memorable one! My balcony overlooked the water and I spent many late evenings and early mornings watching sunsets and the sun rises. The open area of the lobby allows all who stay to have the same incredible experience!! The food and staff were amazing. And let's not forget the well stocked bar! I plan on returning next year for another relaxing stay.

New Aegli Resort Hotel is listed as a 4-star hotel; I would rate it a 3-star at best.
Pros: beautiful views from room balconies and close beach access
Cons: the bathrooms are tiny and the shower was worse than a truck stop shower / weak wifi

The bathrooms were 1-star, no shampoo or amenities at all, just a very, small, shower stall, toilet, and sink; not even three feet of floor space. It was like a cheap, road side motel bathroom, certainly not 4-star.
There was also an old, empty fridge (not even bottles of water) and the wifi was VERY weak and inconsistent.
The lobby had nice beach views but was outdated. There was a completely empty vending machine near the front desk for some reason.
If you just want to spend your days at the beach and use the room for sleeping, the room is fine, but if you want a 4-star hotel experience, you're out of luck!

We had 5 lovely nights at this resort.
Beach across the road with sun beds and umbrellas. Push that button and food and drink are on there way. The restaurant had great food and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoy our stay here.

Nice hotel overlooking Askeli Beach

While I rate the hotel highly check in was a disaster. My debit card changed and I forgot to update Expedia. In spite of the hotel contacting me day's before welcoming me. On the day I was scheduled to arrive prior to check in they tried to run my card and got a decline. They attempted to call me about and hour prior to my arrival time but I was in transit and missed the call. When I arrived they had given my room away. I was then transferred to a local apartment where I had to wait until a manager arrived about 2 hours later. While they did arrange for me to stay at their other hotel at the port for the first of my three day stay and transferred me back for the finaln2 days. All of the stress of dealing with this confusion was not the way I wanted my 2nd day in Greece. I felt it could have been handled better but All in all however the staff was helpful and nice during my stay. It's a perfect location on the beach and the food for breakfast was good.

Comfortable hotel in a good location, with amazing views of the clear, blue sea. Poros town is nearby with a short drive by taxi or about 20 min walk.

Hotel is in the front of the beach

We booked a non-smoking room, but when we checked in, they gave us a smoking room, we had to switch. The front desk staffs don't speak English well, and it's hard to communicate.

Gorgeous hotel with a beautiful sea view!

My daughter (7 years old) and I, spent a week at New Aegli Hotel. We have had a wonderful time, the hotel is gorgeous, super clean, a nice swimming pool and playground for the kids. On arrival we were upgraded from groundflour sea view to the 3rd floor, sea view... we loved it, the bed was huge and comfy.

The reception staff is super kind and helpful, they know all about the Island and places to visit, they have arranged me a taxi/boat to take us aroud the Island, it was marvellous!
The Hotel is perfectly located in Askeli beach, 10-15 minutes walking into Poros Town, by car it`s about 5 minutes. There's a lot of restaurant options near by the hotel.
The Hotel restaurant is ok but not great, the service is slow and some of the dishes presented in the menu, they didn`t had! But I must say that the breakfast buffet is pretty good! I tottaly recommend New Aegli Hotel and specially for families with small children.

He staff was completely serviceminded! The upgraded us to a higher floor and the wiev was AMAZING!
