This is an old hotel in downtown Revelstoke that is getting updated. The bed was excellent and much appreciated. The decor is a mix of newer Chinese furnishings with the original stuff and creates a unique exchange of styles. The Breakfast was very basic and it would be nice if they had better coffee to get the day started. Overall it is good value for Revelstoke which is getting pricey and delivers on a good sleep.

We highly recommend the Grizz Hotel! Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was simple, but so nice to start the day without looking for a restaurant. The location was amazing! Right in the heart of Revelstoke. We hope to come back!

I booked this place because one night of the Alpine was all I could take. I came to the grizz just based off the photos alone. The rooms were very nice. I reserved a second floor because I didn’t want to hear upstairs noise. And that worked out great. However the people right near us were super loud and we could hear them most of the night. The beds were very comfortable just don’t sit on the edge of the bed because the whole other half will come off of the floor. There is a small mini fridge in the rooms but the only microwave is right near the check in desk. Super weird when you want to heat something up. When cleaning they need to clean all of the walls in the bathroom. Not just the shower walls. The bathroom walls had this gross yellow stuff dripping down the entirety of the walls. Also it’s weird that when asking for extra towels instead of just marking my room down noting I had the 4 extra towels. They have to come to my room to collect the dirty towels. Breakfast - 5 choices of cereal, hard boiled eggs, orange slices, coffee, bread and juice. That is NOT considered breakfast also not $20 worth of breakfast for each extra person you charge for in a room per night. The outside looks very dumpy but the inside is really nice. If the windows were updated to new ones the place would look great from the outside.

Very tired property. The decore is mid 20th century Chinese. The bathroom door was squeaky. No hot tub. Breakfast was minimal. No elevator to the second floor and no one to assist with luggage. Two positives: the location is great and the hard boiled eggs were freshly prepared. No way I would book here again.

The Hotel was surprisingly wonderful, it was very clean and the staff was friendly. The room was spacious and we love the rain fall shower.
It was very convenient that the ski shuttle was around the corner and it was a walking distant to downtown.

Room seamed fine, other than the water stains in the roof and the very stiff beds. It felt a little outdated but if that’s what you’re looking for then it’s perfect. The staff was courteous as they waited 30 minutes past check in time to let us in as we had a long drive and ran a little bit late. And the breakfast was a little lack luster but if all your looking for is toast, cereal, coffee, tea and juice your all set

I had higher expectations from the reviews and overall rating. Nothing wrong but not great. Lack of parking, no staff overnight, sub standard continental breakfast, only giant firm pillows, no more wood paneling as per pictures( cheap ceeling tiles). Picked it over the major chains, but next time would try elsewhere at a slightly higher price point. Would stay again if a great price.

The hotel was central to downtown. Easy walks for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Would stay again.
As for the included breakfast, it was better than nothing. Coffee, tea, juice, milk. Toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, cut oranges and yogurt.

The hotel itself was very good as was the staff but the included breakfast was so terrible, it overshadowed the good. Honestly the coffee was undrinkable. The breakfast itself consisted of bread for toast, hard boiled eggs, mostly kids sugar cereals, 1 type of yogurt poured in a chafing dish, some cut up oranges.

No carpets anywhere, all hard floors in rooms, hallways and stairs. This made it a very noisy stay. Anybody walking down the hall or up the stairs was audible. Also could hear people in the room above.
Breakfast was toast, hard boiled eggs, and cold cereal. Not exactly current \"free breakfast\" standards. Would not stay again.

The hotel was under renovation. Or felt like it was.

Positives. The bathroom had new fixtures, flooring was new, the bed was probsbly new.

Negatives, the continental breakfast was laughable. No other food available. The floors did not have propwr substrate and created noise constantly, musty smell in some areas from old doors and walls. Corners cut in the renos with reused moulding, or outlets that didn't work.

Did not feel comfortable going out at night in the area.

Bizarre culture clash with the decor. Rustic cabin, east asian, and Tuscan villa all blended together. Felt like new management has taken over and is unsure what they want to do with it.

Don't go here for breakfast or a quiet sleep

Stayed here as highway was closed and had a king bed and breakfast. No parking as they were busy and front desk check-in was fast. Bed was really firm and they have the cheapest sandpaper towels and TP. Floors are all noisy and squeaky all around you. No real issues based on price I guess?? Bigger issues were that there is some sort of bar nearby as there were people yelling and swearing out my window until 2 AM. My morning shower was cold as lever was stripped and didn't work proper. I waited until 7:30 which seems late for business use for breakfast and it turned out to be cereal, toast and coffee. I left and won't come back. I don't write negative reviews often but feel like it was warranted this time.

We would definitely stay again at this hotel. Friendly staff. Cleanliness of the room was most appreciated! Our room was quiet..and the king-size bed and linens were topnotch! Our one aside in regards to the Breakfast: please look into individual containers, sealed, when serving yogurt.

Loved this older hotel. BUT if you can’t pack luggage up the stairs I would suggest to request a room on main level. No elevator. Walls are thin. Could hear next doors child yelling and screaming and them talking. Breakfast was basic. Just toast, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt. Bed was comfy. Updated bathroom. Reception very good. Right close to lots of eating options downtown. Would stay here again!!

Says there is a bar when booked. Not one there its around corner which is not part of the grizz it is its own business. Only booked there cause of that so we didnt have to go out. Servers at said bar didnt even come to us after 12mi so we left. And they did say hi when we walked in with there no one there. Also bar dont open till 730 but yet buses show up and are fed at the grizz

It was okay, staff was super accommodating and helpful. We were really tired from a long drive so we just wanted to get some rest. Premises are good for the price, beds are really firm wish they were softer specially after a long drive, we just wanted to sleep and it fit both the budget and the basic requirements. Included breakfast could definitely use some improvement we had boiled eggs and they were either overcooked or had a very peculiar taste which most people at the restaurant didn’t eat. Overall good place, not perfect but good for the price.

Renovated room on the main floor. You can hear every creak from above. Room is large bed is very soft. They leave a price list of what things cost in case you want to purchase, but also if you mess up the towels and bedding you might be charged for them. This is a very strange property. There is no elevator and it feels like an old hospital. Stange dusty chandeliers in the lobby. There was an attempt to update the rooms but the overall feeling is very off. The management does not respond to issues with their property. I would avoid this location due to the awkwardness of the whole place.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grizz Hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the room was clean and modernized. We were very happy that there was a Continental Breakfast and it was well stocked. My only suggestion is to put a stand in the room for a suitcase, we had to use the table to lay our suitcase on. We would definitely stay at the Grizz Hotel again.

Continental breakfast was less than favourable only cereal,toast, and hard boiled eggs among a few drink options. Both beds in our room were on roller casters and moved away from wall while sleeping as i move around alot while sleeping, aswell they both had really deep dips in the middle that caused a sore back. The decore of lumber effect everywhere was a nice touch gives a country feel, guy at front desk was very nice and explained things very well. Overall i give 3 star due to the bed and the breakfast other than that it was a nice stay. Kinda weird its right in middle of town and not near the main road traveled buy people passing through!!

Overall met our expectations as per the property description. One big miss though was the free \"continental breakfast\". It was not available until 7:30 and it was basically coffee, toast and cold cereal. Stayed in a Travelodge the next night which was less expensive and their continental breakfast included eggs, pastries, waffles, yogurt and fruit. Also the toilet paper roll in the bathroom was installed on the wall so close to the toilet it had to be removed in order to avoid sitting on it. My pet peeve with any hotel is the lack of storage space in the bathroom and this one was no different. Had to balance toiletries for two people on the toilet tank lid and hope they didnt fall in. The parking lot was a little rough, ie piles of discarded building materials, but the premises were clean inside. The location is excellent for a stay in Revelstoke. Most restaurants, shops and entertainment were within a 2-3 block walk.

Quiet little hotel in the heart of Revelstoke. Close to restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the Columbia River with nice paths. Recently renovated rooms - small but complete with quiet split AC (no noisy window AC here), comfortable bed, fridge and TV. Nice place to spend the night if you are just passing through.

The room was clean but spartan. The windows were too small and gave the room a closed in feeling. The breakfast was meagre, and consisted of cereal, toast, yogurt, some cut up oranges and a boiled egg (if you were lucky).
