The unit was spotless and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Just check the bottle opener - bad quality and not in working order.
Also the cushions on the bed needs to be repalced.

Perfect spot in Franschhoek

I can't imagine having a better experience - the most wonderful hospitality & it's a perfect location. The staff is exceptional & the apartments are spacious, comfortable, & private. The town is great the main thoroughfare is literally seconds from the hotel & on the corner opposite the property there's puzza/pasta restaurant with a large courtyard that has live music sometimes. I felt safe and well cared for during my stay - I'll definitely be back when I have future trips to this exceptional Wine Country!

I rented the luxury penthouse and it was very nice. Felt like home. The area is very walkable with restaurants, grocery, and shops within a very short distance. I grabbed Starbucks everyday and sat on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan to return to this property again.

The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store. The apartment was beautiful, location was perfect with restaurants and Restaurants just few steps away. Staff super friendly. You can park inside the property in a gated garage. Super clean and beautiful decoration. We are planing to stay there again in January. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Recently returned from a 3 night stay at these apartments and we had a great stay in apartment 6. It was modern, clean and bang in the centre of Franschhoek town. The check in was the quickest ever and room was ready for us despite arriving early. The facilities were great and bed comfy - didn’t want to leave the place and wouldn’t hesitate to book when visiting again 😀

Bait and Switch! Watch for add on fees

It’s a bait and switch. They won’t let you add people to the booking on hotels.com. Once you arrive they add $75 per person on top of the booking fee. It’s a nice place but watch out for the add on fees.

The Ivy was recommended to us by good friends for it's amenities, being close to the heart of Franschhoek and for being a little \"home away from home\" and it certainly delivered.

We were welcomed by Wellington and he was just so pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

There is a great little welcome area with some lovely snacks, waters etc. Load shedding did happen whilst we were there but it really wasn't;t a problem, the unit is equipped with an inverter so it was really the fridge and zircon that was off in that time, which had no effect on our stay, all the lights still worked which was wonderful.

We would definitely stay again on our next visit to beautiful Franschhoek. Highly recommend a day on the wine tram too :)

Apologies or the gush. But these are trophy apartments. Looks like everything was built or bought just yesterday. We were like puppies running around squealing. Could not be a better location. Loved the sweet little swimming pool. Really appreciated he laundry, and reveled on the balcony.

The apartment we had needed some renovation - toilet door handle fell off and the skirting around the kitchen area wasn't fixed.
However overall the property is lovely and has all the amenities needed for any length of stay

It was wonderful and not the first time staying at the Ivy. It is literally off the main street. Great space. Just a couple of things - no bulbs in bedside lamp and bedding feather, even after calling reception and being told of course it is not (my sister is slightly allergic, I love feather bedding). Otherwise, really great place to stay. I'd suggest more coffee pods and perhaps a description of what type of coffee is in the various pods. Thank you

The Perfect Winelands Getaway

We had a really wonderful stay at the Ivy Apartments that was beyond all expectations. The apartments are perfectly located in the middle of Franschoek, and you can walk to all the best shops and restaurants. Inside the apartment you will have everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. If you don't have a car this property is well located right as you enter Franschhoek. Everything you need is within walking distance, including Woolworths. It was surprisingly quiet at night. The staff were efficient and friendly and we really appreciated being able to check in early after a long flight.

Very comfortable apartment, with everything you might need (including very welcome airco), and accommodating staff, ideally located to explore Franschoek.
The property has a nice pool corner where you can relax, with trees providing just enough shade. The pool was unexpectedly cold though.
Secure parking is also included.

Lovely apartment in great location

We stayed here for a couple of nights for our visit to Franschhoek.
Apartment 5 was lovely and more than we needed. It had 2 bedrooms- a large one on the mezzanine level with a large bathroom and a smaller double room on the ground level with a smaller shower room.
The kitchen had all the things you need inc washing machine, espresso machine, large fridge freezer. There was also a large tv in the lounge area and wifi.
There is a (very) small pool area, but I don't think it gets the sun much.
The location is fantastic- right in the heart of Franschhoek, a short walk to all restaurants and the wine tram office.

Good. Location But

Because of a local dispute the patio was off limits which curtailed employment of the flat considerably. The tv had no remote control so subtitles were not available. No good for someone with hearing difficulties. Various things were broken e.g. Light fitting. Towel rail. Could do with some maintenance. Best was location with secure car parking in centre of town.

Spacious modern apartment

Very clean and modern apartment (number2) in great central location.
Although it had two bedrooms, the master was in a loft so open to noise etc from below. Ok for us as we were only a couple!
Lots of light coming into apartment so take eyeshades if this bothers you.
Had one terrace opening onto the light well - so not a pleasant place to sit. The larger terrace was unfortunately barred from use and was surrounded by high screens anyway so no views.

Great overnight get away from Cape Town. Upscale apartment was fantastic and the nice gentleman who helped with a late check in and an early check out seemed to appear just as we needed him. Overall great time! Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

A warm and welcoming greeting upon arrival. A quick and efficient check in.
A large well appointed room and bathroom.
Cheerful staff at breakfast. A delicious breakfast on offer: a cold buffet and a nice selection of hot breakfast items made to order.
We did not dine at the hotel for dinner because we had other arrangements made by friends each evening. However we very much appreciated the hotel staff confirming we didn't need a table for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Great apartment right in the village centre

Stunning apartment, well equipped and located for easy walking around Franschoek. Luxury design and service with 2 great balconies to enjoy the weather. Only downside was noise from the nearby road but worth it for central location.

The Ivy Apartments are beautiful (understatement), have friendly and helpful staff and is located as centrally in Franschhoek as it gets - walking distance to all the nice restaurants downtown. Also, it is a great vantage point for exploring all the local wineries.

Modern apartment with much needed and effective a/c. Within easy walk of all the restaurants and excellent quality stores you expect in Franschoek. It would have been nice to have sat outside but the apartment refuses access to the stoop area because of noise complaints.

Fabulous location, super-stylish apartment

The Ivy apartments are slap bang in the middle of town. Beautifully fitted out with ample wardrobes, washing machine/dryer and everything you'd need for a wonderful stay. The only downside is the hum from the aircon at the next door block, and the fact that some of the wondows don't have blinds, so you get woken up when dawn breaks. Take a eye-mask!

The Ivy Apts in Franschhoek

The inside the apt. was beautiful and tastfully remodeled, clean and very comfortable. It was a pleasant surprise to find a washer and dryer inside. We did have problems operating the TV and DVR and there was nobody on sight to ask. I was disappointed to find out that we couldn't use the balcony because the neighbors had complained in the past. I also was disappointed in the location, but seeing how we were only there for one night and day we made do. It was very nice to leave our car after check-out so we could walk around town.

Great place. Service needs improving.

The furnishings were simple. and as advertised. The washer latch was broken. The person who explained how things worked had difficulty explaining and keeping it short. A bit unprofessional, but everything else was fine.
