From our courteous welcome, tour of facilities to breakfast and departure everything was great and it’s clear a tight ship is run.
The minibar is well stocked . Water is available for a fee. Breakfast is more than adequate with a choice of yogurts fruits pastries and cooked items.
Although walkable, in the heat we would recommend using Uber to Franschoek. It is better value than the local taxis.
Relax by the pool, enjoy the Mountain View in the evening. Enjoy a glass of wine!
As a side not , although Expedia may take Amex, the guesthouse does not and you will need to use Visa or MCard

La Cabrière is a hidden gem and a home away from home. The rooms are beautifully comfortable and spotlessly clean. The grounds are stunning with beautiful gardens and an array of wildlife. Breakfast is fabulous with lovely choices of both continental and cooked items. Both pool areas on the property are perfect, with enough beds and privacy to enjoy the South African sun. The position of the property is perfect, a 6-7 walk down to town which has a great selection of shops and restaurants and Easy access to all the vineyards.

What a find, in beautiful grounds with superb mountain views! Quiet area but easy walk into Franschhoek town (15mins). Lisa the Manager was excellent as were the rest of the staff; very attentive and pleasant throughout. The two pools offer more than enough room for all the guests to chill out, and they serve an adequate free breakfast. Although no food at other times of the day, it's easy to order in and eat outside in the wonderful garden surroundings. Really enjoyable experience...thank you.

In our room, the toilet and A/C were not working properly, and due to it being the weekend repair wasnt possible. Property manager was apologetic about it.

The property was stunning, with 2 different pools and lots of areas to sit outside. Breakfast was delicious. The room was cozy and had mostly everything we needed. Location was wonderful, very safe, only a short distance to the main town and so many amazing vineyards nearby. It felt like a private holiday for us as not many guests were there due to the recent floods in Sept (impacted us not having heating for the first night or wifi). Overall great place to stay, highly recommend!

The pictures don't do this place justice. The views are incredible and very inch of this place was stunning. There are all these little tables around the grounds people can and enjoy a bottle of wine. It's really close to town which made our time in Franschhoek even better to be able to easily walk there. The people who run the place are so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to meet our needs.

Located a 10-min walk to the centre of Franschhoek, with fantastic views and well maintained gardens, Two small pools, which are more than necessary with plenty of sunbeds. Bedrooms vary, we stayed in the Garden view room, which was pleasantly decorated but the bathroom only had the one basin and was two small for two people. Sadly the breakfast was a little disappointing, service was good but options varied very little each morning and not a great choice on the buffet. Staff were very accommodating when we asked for a late checkout, but don't hang any washing out on your terrace as you will be 'told off!'

This is a stunning place to stay. You could just sit and stare all day. Choice of pools, very comfortable room. We stayed two nights and a third would have been the icing on the cake. A 15 min stroll into town. We got ubers easily for dinners. We plan to return (like a lot of the other guests we met).

Great location close to the town center but a bit away such that you feel a part of the country side. Lucy and Lisa were very helpful and friendly. It was approximately 10 mins walk to the center of the town. At night it is recommended to hire a taxi which is always approximately 10 mins away. Any restaurant will call after your meal.

Wish we had stayed for more than two nights, La Cabriere is a wonderful place to stay - room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, the gardens were beautiful and breakfast delicious. The staff were also great. We cannot recommend it highly enough. We hope to be back soon.

Lovely Accommodation with Fantastic Views
We were given a warm welcome on arrival even though we were a bit early and only had to wait 5mins before we could settle in. The room although not large had ample storage and a lovely patio overlooking the gardens and mountains beyond. The bathroom was modern and clean with a large shower. My only grumble and this is a personal choice one is that the bed was very firm and the pillows too, but this is being very picky. All the staff were lovely and always gave us a warm welcome at breakfast which was served outside if the weather allowed. The food was fresh and tasty along with a hot breakfast on offer too, also available in the afternoon was tea, coffee and cake which was a nice surprise.

Just fantastic. Made so welcome by the staff , quiet location but yet within a 10 minute walk to the village. The house is set in lovely gardens within the panoramic mountains and valley. The parking is safe and the room could not have been better .

Fantastic hotel and what a lovely location. Great welcome with free welcome half bottle of champagne ready on ice. Each afternoon they offer free tea and cske which is a nice touch. Can also walk into Franschoek safely. Great place and would definitely recommend staying there.
