The hotel was exceptional. The airport is the next island so plane noise was constant, but didn’t really bother us.

Everything about this resort was spectacular from the staff to the amenities, etc. However, what really stood out to me was the quality of the food. Every meal was tasty, well seasoned, and fresh and every dish was constantly replenished. Ice cream instead of a welcome drink was very \"cool\";-) and my taste buds were pleasantly delighted with the cardamom crème brûlée!

Kurumba was everything I imagined and so much more. The staff were incredibly courteous, the room was spotless, and the open bathroom was hands down my favorite part of the bungalow we stayed in. We travelled for my partners birthday and the staff were excellent at making it special for her. Special shoutout to Nawal in reservations and Jojo in watersports/recreation, both really made an effort to make it special for my partner!
The food was very good, wherever you go. Would recommend Hamakaze!

Amazing and professional resort. They are reliable, attentive and the closest resort to the airport for convenience. Great for long stays, as well as shorts stays for the beginning and end of the vacation, so you can hop off your flight and be relaxing in minutes, or spend your final day relaxed knowing you will make your flight on time. I always recommend Kurumba Maldives.

I love how the staff treated me and my friend, they are attentive, welcoming and every time they had the chance they ask how it’s the vacation so far. They have different dining options, the activities you can book at place, they give you one hour free kayak daily and also snorkeling equipment. We had the opportunity to met the general manager and some of the kitchen staff, like the sour chef Pedro from Brazil, he was delightful and helpful due to the breakfast for out early check out. I love my stay there, definitely I’ll come back if I have the chance.

Kurumba good for short family beach vacation. Very low value for money, way over priced & extremely expensive. Restaurants & activities are opportunists taking advantage of guests imposing monopolized & extremely excessive & exaggerated prices. Keep your respect & stay away especially from the GM & his managers because they are fake & all they care about is money. They treat you as a “customer” not a “paying guest” ignoring all basic hospitality manners & ethics. I paid for a package in advance. They clearly act as your enemies & don’t trust you showing their ugly truth & harass you to pay your orders bills as if you & your family will sneak out from the island where you are stranded under their mercy if you want to run away from the island. They should be smarter & show respect & trust to guests & since package was paid in advance, normally all balance of bills is paid at checkout. GM showed a lot of disrespect & unprofessional behavior & untrusting attitude towards me & my family & he refused to meet me to discuss & address my concerns & issues & complaints saying that he’s the General Manager & it’s not his job to do that & at his level he doesn’t talk to customers about these things & I should talk to one of his assistants. Absolutely don’t interact or deal with the GM & his managers in order to keep your respect & dignity & relax & enjoy your family vacation peacefully without any anger & stress & without fake & nonsense & unprofessional hospitality.

Honestly, this wasn't what I expected. For the high price, you're better off choosing a resort that actually feels worth it. It’s advertised as all-inclusive, but that only applies to one restaurant—which was okay, but definitely not amazing. For the others, you still have to pay 50%, and their prices are extremely high. Every little add-on costs extra.

The speedboat transfer is $114 per person for a ride that’s barely 10 minutes—many other resorts offer this for free. The deluxe villa was spacious and clean, and the island itself is well-maintained, but that’s about it.

Some staff were very kind, but checkout was uncomfortable. At 6 a.m., they were already ringing up the bill and repeatedly sending people to our villa, which felt intrusive and unnecessary.

I wouldn’t return. After two days, there wasn’t much to do, and the evenings were especially dull. I really wish I had chosen a different resort.

where do I start?
A honeymoon that we were so excited with really turned into something not so great. I purchased the all-inclusive package which includes snacks. However, all inclusive is not all inclusive and the snacks situation, well everyday was a battle. The first 2-3 days were no snacks. The next day we were able to get a snack each and only at the pool area and no where else. When they say all inclusive you only have one option to the daily buffett Area and not the other restaurants unless you want to pay out of pocket.

Can you imagine having to deal with this issue every day with management!? While being on your honeymoon!? Gosh. It was such a daily hassle, by day 3 I wanted out of there! I I was so unhappy the entire week. I do have to say when we checked out we were greeted by probably one of the nicest warmest person, and that's about it. I would not come back, but rather book another resort.

The reception staff greeted me with warm smiles and provided all the necessary information about the hotel's facilities and services. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The amenities provided in the room were of high quality and added a touch of luxury to my stay. The gym was also well-equipped, allowing me to keep up with my fitness routine during my stay, but some equipment has broken and not repair until I left the Island. I really have a fantastic experience at Kurumba Maldives.

The property looked very nice, but I found out that amenities weren't replaced and used q-tips were in the amenity box. Water was leaking from the bath tab. Phone in my room didn't work and I needed to ask to replace it. Lounge was not airconditioned, so it was like a sauna.

Nice island resort. Some of the rooms are a bit dated, but does have a nice tropical vibe. Good dining options but super expensive. Staff is super friendly, though sometimes service at the main beach grill or even in the restaurants seem to take forever. We waited 40 minutes in the seafood restaurant to be tended to and that’s after being seated.

We had an exceptional stay at Kurumba! It was our first time in the Maldives, and the hotel was only a 10 minutes boat ride from the airport. The room was excellent, spacious and clean, with direct beach access. The bathroom was large and had an outdoor shower area. The Kurumba staff went above and beyond to ensure we had fantastic stay. For example they decorated the room for our honeymoon and on my wife's birthday they brought her a cake. The breakfast was excellent, and there's a lot of food choices, our favorite restaurant was Thila. Overall we had a memorable stay.

Gorgeous resort conveniently located by the airport but separated by an ocean. The beach and water we gorevous. Lovely snorkeling options. The theme restaurants had super high quality food for dinners but make a reservation early or you’ll miss out. Great spots for photos and relaxing. This resort has it all.

The resort itself was good but was tainted by the almost constant sound of aeroplanes and seaplanes taking off or flying over. Unfortunately, this and the view of Male airport and port (large, unsightly ships!), spoilt the idea of a desert island.
The main bar staff were lovely, especially Ameed, April and Noy. They were very friendly and professional.
As for housekeeping, we had to ask for them to visit one day and on another occasion, our bed wasn’t made.
Food was good in the restaurants and the buffet food was reasonable.

Kurumba is a gorgeous resort conveniently close to the international airport in Malé and offering the best in service, stunning scenery, gorgeous beaches and lagoon where tropical fish swim alongside you. The staff were incredible and kind and the amenities, restaurants and our room could not have been more perfect. Even when the resort must have been busy with guests we always felt as though we had it to ourselves. Quiet and romantic. I cannot recommend Kurumba Maldives highly enough.

Nice property, the staff were very pleasant. The general quality of the food was not great, though after informing staff they specifically cooked my meals which was appreciated. Food is expensive, drink is expensive, $6 dollars for a 260ml of regular cola is too much. There is no alternative to what’s on the Island. If they want to charge those price the quality of the food needs to be good.

I want to take the time to address a very unpleasant experience that I encountered during my time at Kurumba.

My fiancé and I had visited Kurumba from April 6th to April 10th of this year. When we previously visited Kurumba in 2022, we had the best time and it was the reason why we came back this year as well.

I want to point out that Maldives consists of many beautiful and exotic islands and other options as well that we could have chosen, that could have also been cheaper. Regardless of knowing that, our heart was set on Kurumba.

We paid the heavy prices of staying at Kurumba only to leave with the most embarrassing time.

On April 9th, my fiancé and I had visited the outside bar that is located in front of the room 173, we wanted to have a couple of drinks and have a great time on the beach. The bar server's name was Pinka I believe, upon arriving at the bar we noticed that he was not welcoming at all. I decided to order a Pina Colada, and told him that I want it to be sweet. He replies back and states \"It is already a sweet drink\". I disregarded his comment, we got our drinks and went into the water. We came back for another drink and again I ordered a Pina Colada and told him that I would like extra coconut cream, he replies back and states \"Coconut cream has a lot of sweet and fats which you shouldn't be drinking, you should be drinking less sweets\" while stating this he was looking at my body and indicating that I am fat and lecturing me about my body weight

1. Less than 15 mins via easy boat transfer from the main airport, which is fantastic after longhaul travel with small children.
2. Beautiful small island exclusive to the resort with wonderful beaches all around. Lots of space so that, even when fully booked, the beach is never croweded.
3. Friendly and efficient staff who get things done with no fuss. Houskeeeping and gardening staff are really effective and do and exceptional job in the background. Front staff offer excellent suggestions on requests to make most of the stay. Snorkeling gear is available for use at no cost.
4. Fantastic gardens throughout the island. The staff really care for the plants and trees, making it truly feel like a tropical paradise.
5. We stayed in a Beach Villa, which had all we need for a luxury stay, with a private pool, outdoor shower.
6. The main buffet restuarant was generally okay, typical of big resorts, with friendly staff. There are other bettwr dining options if you want variety, but at added cost and some pre planning.

Note: Be mindful that, being an island close to the main city, some rooms have a 'city view' of the developing Male, making it feel less like postcard Maldives. The staff are helpful to make sure you book the right room for you. You will also hear the buzz of departing aircraft big and small. Just ignore it if your can. For us, the convenience of proximity to the airport, the beauty of the island, bungalow and staff outweighed these not so great bits.

This does not look like a five star hotel. The rooms are old and dates and the amenities offered and not that of a five star hotel. In the bedroom there were mosquitoes and ants EVERYWHERE, even in the kettle. While this is natural being on an island having mosquito screens or doors without gaps would help. Everything at the hotel is overpriced and not, in my opinion, worth it.

Food is very good and cover variety of religious need.
For some finer details, it might not match those high end resort chain, like Anantata , Four Season or Hilton, for the price, it is unbeatable, exvellent CP value.

The staff was extremely hospitable and professional. The grounds were kept immaculately clean. My one complaint would be the food selection. Desserts were lacking and not really varied. I ordered a meal that stared it included prawns and what I received were not prawns but the baby shrimp you get with an order of Chinese food. Unless the definition of prawns changes in the Maldives that was disappointing. Seafood plates in general offered very little seafood or substitutes instead. Unless it was the reef fish which was plentiful. All this aside, my stay was still pleasant and enjoyable.

It is sad to be on beaches with trash floating everywhere plastic bags glads bottles cut up fruit and the absolute worst was a bloody sanitary used napkin.
The property has very little fish and wildlife in the ponds and with in the seawalls. We are being charged an environmental fee and the environ being ignored

urumba resorts was the worse experience and honestly, I would not want to go back, and neither would I recommend anyone to take the risk, until and unless they do a thorough check on their buffet food and give us proof of health clearance.
Me and my husband choose Kurumba as our one year late honeymoon destination post easing of covid restrictions. We had a three night stay at the hotel, and honestly all we did was stay in the room all day and all night because my husband got severe food poisoning from their breakfast buffet! The day we reached, he was perfectly fine! we went to enjoy breakfast, and my husband had different foods than I did, and then four hours later, suddenly my husbands condition got worse and worse, he got diarrhea and high grade fever by the night. My husband could not even hold any food in his stomach, he vomitted constantly. My husband NEVER gets soo weak, he even went to their clinic, got ivs but still no improvement. Our trip was spent seeing my husband suffer, and this was super heartbreaking. The hotel should do a thorough check on their buffet food (esp their french toasts). He is currently admitted in a hospital in Dubai for two nights, getting treatment for his severe food poisoning (claimed by doctors as per his blood samples and stool tests), and he is so weak, its unbearable for me as his wife to see.
I am giving them a two star for their other good customer service, the doctor and the vibe.

Love the infrastructure and quality of the service. Staff is friendly and at par with their job. Beach side villas give you amazing experience with turquoise water right outside the room. You get uninterrupted water view from the villas. Gardens and room are well maintained.

All the staff were so great and they warmly welcomed us at the resort,
the place is so amazing with many things to do,
food and drinks are really good,
service is the best it can be,
the cleaning guys are best cleaners I’ve seen the do it fast good and are very friendly,
the DJ is one off the best, always he put music’s you ask and he keep reminding then when he see you back he make sure to pley them for you, he invited us few times telling us at the night he will be there
The things I would like it to be ther is, a small shop-market with different driks, chips, cookies, chocolate Etc because mini bar had just few

Stay at Kurumba Maldives

Stay was amazing. Hotel staff receive you at the airport and take you to the resort in their boat. Excellent customer service from the time you are picked up to the day of departure. Stay was comfortable, property was clean, food was good with enough choices for vegetarians as well.

Very average hotel not a 5*

Very old hotel maybe 50 years old. Too close to the airport. Every 5 minutes there is a plane flying over. View is terrible as all the main islands are less than 5 minutes away. It is the cheapest 5* hotel in Maldives but i think it is more of a 4* than a 5* as lacking in every way. Food is average but 7 options but extremely expensive and portions are tiny. Breakfast like a 4* hotel don't even have any fresh juices. Stayed in the Deluxe bumglow sea facing. The bathroom was nice. Room average ants in room. Mouldy cheese in resturant. Lagging in service and quality in every way. Doesn't deserve 5* charging $150 per person return boat ride when airport is 7 mins away

We had a wonderful time during our 7 night visit at Kurumba Maldives. The resort is beautiful and it was a very peaceful and relaxing spot to vacation. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and many went above and beyond to make sure everything was positive. Special shout-outs to Miho the assistant manager at the Front Desk and Jinah in Recreation (snorkelling). Both of these people added to the positive memories from our trip.
