self check in , for those not good with tech do not book here , had to get on my knees (2:surgeries) to try and open lock , lock was so small my 63 year old eyes could not open a young couple needed to ope it for me . security guard was more interested in his phone then helping me open a door . only when another guest told me i needed to put my key against that black box to unlock door to hallway , again security gaurd would not even look up .

Quick check in process, assisted with calling airport cab, wifi and AC worked well. Cons: paying more for balcony room was not worth it, as it faced an alley. Did not provide towels or hand soap. Otherwise, nice location close to plenty of restaurant options, and I felt safe here!

This is a basic guest house. It works if u just want a space to get through a night before island hopping.

Room on the smaller side n in need refurbishment. Morning we can hear seaplane and construction next door, but we knew before booking that it might be noisy.

Breakfast was nice and staff are friendly. :) A* service. Location near the beach n mini marts are 5 min walk away.

Huvan Beach Hotel is right on the Hulhumale beach. There is an excellent restaurant called Red Snapper downstairs. It is close to grocery shopping stores like Red Wave and SJ Mall. However, the room was very small, and the window was facing a wall, limiting available sunlight into the room.

We stayed here 1 night while transiting from the Maldives. We chose to stay here based on reviews, and frankly, after stayingbthere, we wonder if they are all legitimate. Anyway, it was just for 1 night. We read they pick you up at the airport which we arranged, although there was a charge. It was a long wait and the driver had a difficult time to find us, and the language barrier didn't help the situation. The hotel is likely an old apartment building possibly. The rooms are very tiny with little space to even open up luggage. However, it was clean and sufficient for 1 night. We had read there were restaurants near by and we walked around and found mostly street food. We did find a more typical looking restaurant one street over. We were a bit shocked at the garbage there was along the streets on the sidewalks and around. It seems like a very uncared for area. BTW, if you like a beer or drink in the evening, bring your own in your suitcase, there's no alcohol anywhere here, a contrast to the resorts and hotels on other islands.
The hotel had a nice coffee shop with a couple of desserts available.

We were only staying for one night before our flight home. The location is excellent, right opposite the beach, plenty of eateries around the area. The rooftop terrace is very nice. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs and Ahmed was very attentive. The hotel staffs we encountered were all polite and helpful. They booked our airport transfer early in the morning for us and this was very convenient. Overall, it was a good stay for us. Thank you Huvan Beach Hotel!

Helpful staff make this place a good option.

Very good communication by the staff, location perfect for an overnight airport transfer. Unfortunately was quite noisy within the corridors of the hotel with the rooms not that soundproof. Loads of eating options within walking distance. Not the best value for money that we encountered in our 2 week Maldivian stay.

Location is ideal as its just of the beach and many local places to eat evan at 7am. Supermarket (SJ mall) is a 5 min walk for snacks and drinks. Male is a ferry ride away and 15 min walk will cost you 10 MR each person rather then 85MR
Hotel does need updating as it is quite run down woth broken frames windows and blinds that dont open. Staff are helpful other then the lady at reception sorry to say who could of been more helpful. Manager was happy to us after we moaned about room we was first put in. Sec room wasnt much different, i will say its probably the better hotel on that part of the islands. Beautiful beach is just outside the hotel with a beautiful view from the restaurant on the roof. Would recommend this hotel for its location.

Location is close to dining options and the water. There is an air conditioned area next door while waiting for your room. You can order food/drinks at the cafe. The hotel is small and does not have a separate room to secure luggages. Luggages can be left by the reception room in the lobby.

A very nice boutique hotel, just across from the beach. The room was small, but livable, bed was comfy, AC and WiFi worked well. Nice rooftop area (with food brought up from the restaurant downstairs). Good breakfast buffet, and a decent menu for lunch and dinner. The staff were excellent! They were very responsive, helpful, and friendly. I enjoyed my time there, and would stay there again.

Overpriced and insanely loud. Avoid.

While the room was comfortable, I would never stay here again. The walls are paper thin and we heard the neighbors the entire night slamming doors, trying to get into their rooms (one was locked out and was knocking for over an hour), people screaming in the hallways at 0500. It was horrible. It is way overpriced, $100 a night for the loudest accommodation I have ever been in. Doesn’t include anything. The only thing it offers is location and a high level of hospitality; however, in the Maldives that is absolutely everywhere.

Hard beds, but a great little hotel!

On first appearance we didnt love this hotel. The bed is HARD - so hard we thought it was just a base. The bathroom is very average. But! We really enjoyed the restaurant- very slow, but great service and food is amazing. Its not in the best location, but you cant deny the lovely beach view.

There is construction going all around the hotel. There are hammering and drilling noises all day long. We were unable to rest. The room itself is dilapidated. The balcony in the room facing the alley in the back of the building is a joke. Stay away from this hotel!

This was a one night stay because the airlines canceled our departure flight - we had already been in the Maldives for 2 weeks. Hotel in a great location right across from the beach and surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. Red Snapper & Coffee Bean is good and right at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable.

They change hotel on us. We book for Huvan but was transfer to the Coral beach hotel as it was newer.
The window leak when it rains, construction was going on next to building. The roof top restaurant was above us, they were nosy and the food smell would come into the room through the air conditioner.

The hotel was clean, beautiful , the staff particularly Ansar , executive staff person and Amy , GRO , were always available to answer questions about surroundings, getting anywhere and amenities needed that were related to the stay. The staff were knowledgeable, easy to communicate with in English and ready to be helpful in any way to enjoy my stay in Male at the hotel . It couldn’t have been easier after a long 30 hour flight plan to rest comfortably and safely across from the beach in a lively location .

I had a last minute seaplane flight arrangement. Got notified around 9:50am about my new seaplane schedule. The hotel was able to get me checked out, loaded my luggages to their van and transported me to Airport within 20 minutes. So I was able to checked in to morning seaplane flight at 10:15am. Much appreciated!!!

My room with a balcony looked into the alley. The balcony was about 9 square feet. You could have maybe put a chair out there. Not worth the extra cost for a “balcony”

I stayed here a number of times while decompressing after a long flight and in between destinations in the Maldives. The price is right and the rooms are clean and comfortable. One day I did some snorkeling in front of the hotel. They got me into my room before normal check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The restaurant in the hotel had very good food and quite a variety. I thought the staff was friendly, and I walked quite a bit around the area.

Good budget hotel.

Good budget hotel if you need to stay near the airport. It's a short drive from there and the hotel is on the beach (although no one actually uses the public beach).

Rooms were comfortable with good AC. Bathroom is somewhat of a letdown as the showers aren't enclosed so the water goes everywhere.

Make sure you get the room with the beach view as it's worth paying a little more.

We have stayed in Sheraton for 3 nights and wanted to spend a night in the local island and stayed at the Huvan Hotel. I wasn’t expecting a Marriott standard that’s why I didn’t have any high expectations but this hotel has exceeded my expectations. Marriott staff needs to learn the customer service from this hotel’s staff. Everyone was super nice and they want to help you instead of trying to ripped your money. If I ever stay in the local island I know where to stay. Thank you all!

It’s a good hotel, has the necessary amenities. However, it’s not located in the tourist side of the island...so everything was far and a lot of the restaurants in the area where closed or not very clean and welcoming. There seem to be no water on the sink in our room during our stay. It wasn’t a problem for us but just in case anyone wanted to know. Other than that it was good one night stay

We we’re supposed to go to Westin hotel which happen to be a private island they were charging 500$ per person to transport us there which is sad and shameful because they never told us that. So thank God I booked this place it was just 5 dollars to get there and even thoe the room it small it’s just perfect

Our stay was great! Staffs are extremely respectful especially the guys working in the restaurant. Very polite and professional. We got the room we wanted, only too close to the road where sometimes some cars race and it gets too loud. But being closest to the beach, and close to water sports rental shack, this hotel is perfect. Just a heads up though, it is a public beach so that means you cannot wear your swimsuits or bikinis uncovered.

There was no phone installed in my room. After asking them again and again they finally installed it on my last day. They unjustly charged me 50 dollars saying that it is for green tax however there was no mention of it on the bill. Lastly, I got myself a paper cut due to which I little blood stain got on the bedsheet, the hotel charged me 30 dollars for that. The hotel is good but the staff is extremely bad and they rip off tourists.
