Cannot recommend this hotel! Hotel stairs, where completely Room reeked of an indescribable odor, the shutters on the inside of the windows were painted shut, and when we finally were able to open them, we realized
we faced a brick wall. The air conditioning did not work to full capacity.
Toilet was leaking so the floor was covered in mold
We checked out of the hotel 2 hours after we checked in! A shame to lose our money, but there was no way we could sleep there

This hotel is good. It is decorated really nicely and the restaurant and spa are nice. It just had a few problems like being noisy with traffic, the bathroom getting wet when it rains and little things like that. But it is in the middle of downtown and convenient and the price was great.

Nice budget stay with great views

The hotel was an average stay but good for the price. Three of us shared a family room as our daughter was with us and there was plenty of space for us all. The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean.
The people working in the hotel were lovely and very helpful. Always smiling and happy.
The restaurant food was really nice and to watch them making dough for pizza was a treat. They were delicious too and you knew it was fresh. The restaurant had great views over the harbour.

An adventurer's delight

First, the restaurant has an amazing view of the harbor. Breakfast is a real treat with a variety of choices. The room was clean and the large bathroom and spacious shower are perfect after a day of adventures. The hotel is located close to everything, including many diving and tour operators, as well as good restaurants and grocery stores. It's about a 10 minute drive from the airport. Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples and friends who plan to spend their trip touring the sights.

Lovely old building, but seemed like it was a bit flimsy - doors not solid. Room small, not much space but comfy. Offered a welcome drink and they had an OK restaurant (with killer views) upstairs. OK food, ok drinks. Close to everything. Not much of a view, really. The photo makes the room look nicer and larger than it was. All in all, ok.

the hotel looks a little run down internally however, still in working condition. no complains truly as the staff and the service rendered makes up for all the hotel is lacking. loved every moment of our stay there.

across the street is a convenience mart and every restaurant and shop is of walking distance.

Good location just a couple of minutes away from the Marina. Friendly staff and surrounded by many shops. AC kept the room cool and comfortable. The restaurant in the 2nd and 3rd floor has and amazing view of the harbor.However, their food was not my favorite. Overall it was a great place to stay for the night since we were sailing on a boat the next day.

This property is in a really great location. Its within walking distance of really everything you need (tour bookings, shopping, restaurants, atms etc). The restaurant at the hotel was one of our favorites in town.

Our only complaint was how noisy this hotel is lol and were not usually one's to care. If you can get past that, it's a great stay.

Claimed they didn't have the room I booked (just a room with two beds) for when we arrived, and we'd be getting a single double bed instead. There's no way my scuba buddy and I were gonna fit in a single double bed. After some back-and-forth, offered us a \"deluxe\" version of that same room for more money -- classic bait and switch! If we weren't so tired, we'd have gone to find a different hotel.

The \"deluxe\" room looked just like the basic room I booked! Very basic, except the toilet didn't work and the bathroom smelled like sewage and the bathroom door didn't close.

The location and outlook of this hotel is fantastic. The restaurant has a comprehensive menu and it’s own pizza oven. The views for sunset are gorgeous. The spa is wonderful! Room was clean and cool . The bathroom needed upgrading but value for money was excellent. Really friendly helpful staff!

Misleading advertisement
Extremely noisy, small, stylish rooms
Although nicely furnished, with personality and well cleaned rooms are tiny, and let’s be clear, the photos they use do not reflect the reality of the O’tel which looks more like a hostel. As the names says, it is not a proper Hotel, it’s a bar with rooms located on lower floors in a very unfortunate extremely noisy street, near the Harbor. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, diving trips and beautiful views of the island then THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. If you are a youngster drinks connoisseur who fancies loud parties all night long and uses the room just as a luggage storage and few hours of rest a day then, go ahead and book it up.
My stay was horrendous. I booked a superior room and I was given a room with a window facing the window of another room, almost no natural light. The curtain had to be kept closed the whole time for privacy. I asked to be given another room with a normal window, not necessarily sea view, i wouldn’t dare asking for the room they advertise online as those were the suite and double the price), I was shown a room on the lower floor with a lovely window. I explicitly asked if it was noisy at night and the girl said “Nooo”. It was the worst night I ever spent in a hotel. At 1 am I was woken up by a group of extremely noisy, drunken people doing fireworks and shouting and the show went on until 6.30 am when I eventually decided to check out and find a proper accommodation.

Very noisy ... first it is in the busiest road in the island . Then the door is not so sound insulated ... guest made noise during the night until very late .. then from early morning heard the neighbours talking ... plus there were buds on the bed .

A tree to Love.

Old time shop entry like being on a wharf. A pool table greets you and registration table is beyond it. Very casual decor and you shake your head and OK...and continue. Our room was spacious, including the bath to which you will find embroidered towels and a Very Uncommon \"Hand Towel\". Wooden shuttered windows (some without a view). AC worked great or you could open the windows. Room was dark for sleep and very little noise even at 7 am. Ample outlets for devices though I pack a 5 outlet wall mount plug in. Breakfast was very good and a nice view of the port too. Staff very friendly and efficient. Place was very clean.

Good location to harbour & was right in the middle of the main street, definitely would not stay here again , but in saying that you get what you pay for, no pool , bed was the most noisiest bed we have ever slept on , everytime you moved it was sooo creaky , no safe deposit box in your room or in reception ( staff have very little English ) was very hard to communicate with them, i would definitely research & pay more per night for a better property & also bathroom had a fowl smell coming out of the floor drain.

I imagine this place was once the best place to stay in Labuan Bajo but not any more. Room was ok but rest of the hotel could do with a good clean. The room was very noisy, the walls must have been paper thin.

Pretty good service, room clean and with all convenience. Amazing view from restaurant. Only downside: smell in the washroom: it has nothing to do with the hotel but Labuan Bajo stinks a lot (at least when we were here) with odor coming out from open sewers. As no closed windows in washroom, odors comes in...

Higher quality then you'd ever expect.

The room is gorgeous. Perfect Air Con level. Excellent shower. I've stayed elsewhere and this is way above and beyond the rest. Highly recommend to any traveler in need of a luxury night.

eco-friendly and guest-friendly hotel

the room is comfortable and clean. very friendly and helpful staff as I switched from other accomodation in LBJ due to some issues. The salted egg crab from tree top restaurant was really tasty. The hotel is build with eco friendly concept. Still some development around the area, but will not interrupt that much if u spent the day outside of the room.

Loved it every moment !!!

Had a fantastic stay there - the rooms were great, the staffs were friendly and helpful, the food was insanely delicious (one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, traveling across Indonesia for the last few months). Location was central, so easy to get around and you can walk anywhere from this hotel.

The hotel has just undergone renovations so the rooms are very nice. The main entrance still looks a bit run down but the rooms are of superior quality and all the scaffolding etc. has been removed. The staff were extremely slow and not very helpful but I think that's to be expected everywhere on the island.

Very Bad Experience

1) Booked 7 rooms through Expedia. Checkin 17th June Checkout 18th June. On arrival after a long flight, they mentioned that they have only 5 rooms available and we had to move 4 people to a nearby hotel. People at the reception didn't provide us any justification and were not even apologetic about the goof-up.
2) We were also staying there on the 21st and 22nd of June. We were to check-out on the morning of 23rd June. There was absolutely no water in the rooms in the morning. And since we had an early morning flight to catch - we were running from pillar to post to get ready in the morning. Again, the hotel staff were no help whatsoever.

There is a pool table in the middle of the lobby which is located quite close to other rooms. We were staying one of those rooms and we couldn't sleep very well because of the noise from the people drinking and playing all night long at the lobby.

Service needs tremendous improvement

Cons:
We booked an airport pick up prior to arrival with them at 100K rupiah one way. Upon arrival there was no sign of the driver and we had to call the hotel. They apparently forgot about it.

We booked a sea view room but was initially given a basement room with construction right outside our window, they insisted it was sea view but thank god we managed to negotiate for a change in room.

No wifi in room and only one hair dryer in the entire hotel

Breakfast which we were told to order the night before was forgotten

Good location, on the main street where restaurants and tour agencies are. Supermarket right across the street

Our stay at the Eco Tree was overall, nice. We were upgraded to a suite room without given a reason but it was clear they were doing construction on the room we booked. The bathroom smelled terrible so we left the fan on our entire stay. Breakfast was really confusing. There was no start time or menu. Despite these minor complaints, the Eco Tree is a nice hotel, beautifully crafted, with friendly staff.

Excellent hotel in perfect location

We only stayed for one night but the staff were super helpful and the room was excellent! We weren't able to stay in a room with a balcony but the restaurant area upstairs still had amazing views. This is a brand new hotel and everything inside is freshly updated! Highly recommend!
