A very nicely located hotel by the sea. The swimming pool overlooking the sea is just so beautiful and relaxing. It also has a private beach in front of the swimming pool, which can look even more beautiful with a bit more cleaning of the rubbish

Decent value in a good location!

Basics are all good: spacious, clean rooms; well-organized airport transfers; easy check/in and -out. Public areas of hotel are suffering from post-COVID benign neglect. Not 4-star property as of now, but easily could be! As such rooms are probably a little over-priced, especially as there seems to be something going on with the booking engine
‘forcing’ an up sell to confirm, when hotel is clearly not close to “very busy”. Overall we were satisfied with our stay and the hotel’s location.

Ok for a couple nights

Ok place to stay for a couple of nights. They did not have the shuttle into town that was listed in their amenities, which was very disappointing since we had to pay for a couple taxi rides.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but we tired of listening to the videos and music the restaurant employee had blaring from their phones.

Pool area was beautiful and the bar employees provided good service. The beach, however, was littered with trash that they should have been picking up, not just for hotel guests, but for the cleanliness of the ocean in general.

Beautiful hotel great ftont desk staff...all staff as well wete great but we wanted a spa for our friend and the guy at front desk helped find perfect place.

Our last day we relaxed by the increfible pool, great food and ice cold beer...guys heaven...

It's definitely NOT a 4 Stars hotel. The property is old and kind of run down. However the staff was very nice and attentive. They offered help and assisted me before I asked. They were the reason i stayed instead of cancelling the remaining of my stay as soon as i saw the room.

If you don't expect 4 Star hotel, then you would be fine!

Tours, massage and souvenier shops closed.

The hotel itself is very nice. Given the location of the town, the amenities are what should be expected. But if you expect to sit on a nice clean beach, think again. There is a lot of garbage on the narrow strip of coarse sand. I didn't even go in the water because it seemed quite murky and muddy. At least the views were nice.

The hotel is rated 4 stars but I found this hard to justify after my stay. Our bedroom had several insects, the bathroom was cramped and needed refurbishing, hygiene at the breakfast buffet was appalling (fruit platter was inedible as it was covered in black flies) and many of the staff were rude and unable to speak conversational English. Room service was very slow.
On the positive side though, the hotel organised a good tour to the Komodo national park through East Tours and the swimming pool is nice (if you don’t mind swimming in leaves/insects after midday).

I stayed for a weekend (2 nights) so I could visit Komodo island and the nearby islands. The hotel had a beautiful pool area and view of the beaches and sunsets. The beach itself wasn't great - mainly similar to other Malaysian beaches in terms of water not that clear looking and trash along the beach outside the hotel perimeters. The staff was the highlight, friendly and accommodating. They had packed breakfast ready for my 5:30am pick up and was consistently helpful with taxi arrangements. Breakfast was sufficient, eggs made to order, etc. The hotel was a short 5-10 minute taxi from town and the airport both, or a 25 minutes walk to town which was fine during daylight but a bit dark along side the road at night. The taxis were all IDR 50k, to town, to the airport, to La Cecile for hilltop view of the sunset. Massage services closed on Sundays, so I went to place in town which was great. I'd return to the hotel and town and get in some scuba diving (options all over town) and the cave swimming.

Modern hotel with all amenities working well ( AC, bathrooms) and great staff. Nice pool on the beach and excellent buffet breakfast on Sunday. Only suggestion is that hotel take the initiative to clean up beach by its property. There were hundreds of plastic bottles/bags washed up on the shore.

The internet required us to log in every single time for the first 3 days of our stay. After that, it kept us logged in but was very slow. Overall, the staff was friendly and the facilities were clean. The pool is nice and maintained well but I do not know what else to say except that the resort is boring. There is no option to get a beer that I know of after the pool bar closes at 7 PM. On top of that, one recommendation I have is to try and limit the single use plastics that are used by Bintang Flores. As is evidenced by the amount of garbage on the beach front, plastic waste is a big problem in Indonesia and any little bit helps.

Comfort, beautiful pool, and friendly staff

When I arrived, the friendly staff gave me a genuine welcome, along with a refreshing cold towel and drink. My room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel's pool is great: it's an unusual figure of eight shape set in beautiful tropical gardens, right on the beach. Reception staff booked me on a great tour of Komodo National Park. The breakfast was good too: a great choice of western and Indonesian food.

Good Hotel, Spectacular Sunsets

The Bingtan Flores Hotel is situated about 15-20 mins away from the airport and away from the centre of town. The rooms are clean & the staff is friendly. The location is great to watch spectacular sunsets and the hotel is situated very close to a small beach.

Breakfast was a disappointment as food was never more than luke warm no matter when you ate and most of the breakfast food was from a frozen packet. Reall lack of fresh food.

Are you sure these photos are recent?

This hotel is under major construction but the Expedia listing is not updated to show you that. There are 2 new buildings being built on both sides of the hotel and Indonesian construction runs almost 24/7. We asked for a refund but were denied because they claimed that 'all their booking partners\" were aware and had updated their listings.

NOT SO. We immediately called Expedia who also denied responsibility despite there being no mention of construction and noise on the hotel website. By construction we're talking about jackhammers.

Lastly: Food. One of the reviews said the food was so good they never ate anywhere else. I almost choked on my petrified tofu when I read this at the restaurant. The food was so bad we couldn't believe it was legal. I was in Indonesia for 23 days and in some very remote areas. This was the worst by far, They even got the white rice wrong. A total fail.

If you have any taste at all, you would run from this place. The beach isn't even that usable.

Very surprised how good the room was. Private beach is lovely. Nice pool. Only thing to complain about was the restaurant (more like a basic canteen). Breakfast was poor and there was so many flies everywhere on the food. Apart from the breakfast I would recommend it for sure.

the hotel garden and beach with the view is amazing , very well looked after. I only dent like that we couldn't make any phone calls from the room , internet was horrible we had to go to the lobby to use the internet. the phone in our room was always cutting off as the phone cable was falling off . other than that friendly staff and good view. We liked our stay and i would stay again probably if there are no other options. Abit far to city centre , have to h=get the taxi each time and its 50,000 idr pay way .

Just OK. A few problems!

Firstly the hotel is around a 20-30 minute walk down a road, not a street, no footpath. The hotel want 50,000 rp for any journey, we paid 40,000 rp from the airport so thought this was a bit much to go to the centre which is closer.

We were woken up by a cricket jumping on us three times on the first night, this didn't make for a comfortable sleep.

We got one takeaway breakfast, this was actually BETTER than the breakfast buffet as we got to order what we wanted.

The view was beautiful from room 505 and the pool was nice. The beach and sea were dirty although regularly cleaned, this is Indonesia.

Overall the stay was good. We used this hotel to overnight before taking a two day boat tour to Komodo, Rinca, and Padar. I wouldn't use this hotel for a long stay. The beach is littered with trash.

Beautiful view but the beach is not so clean. The neighbouring hotels need to collaborate to clean it up. Also the afternoon sun shines directly into the rooms so you need to keep the curtains drawn to keep the room comfortable temperature wise. The architect did a great job of utilizing the view but no thought was given to thermal insulation/temperature control except for the lobby which has a great breeze way. The food is tasty and I had no ill effect from it.

The room is large and plenty of light. The fittings in the restroom are good. But it is not what you would expect from a 4 start hotel. More like a 2 to 3 start property. Good service and a decent pool to relax. It is very close to the airport and the harbour. Good location and comfortable stay.

Nice pool area and serves a purpose

For the money, the Bintang Flores offers good value. It is in a beautiful location and served a need for us - we were only there for 2 days to do a day trip to Komodo National Park. It is 5mins drive from the airport and a 20mins walk from downtown Flores.

A few disappointing things:
* We pre-booked an airport pickup through the hotel, which failed to show up at Komodo Airport and when we eventually arrived, the hotel staff blamed the no-show on their colleagues in Bali.
* There are no hand towels in the bathroom - just a bath towel per person, which I thought was a bit mean. Even just one hand towel for the room for going to the toilet would have been appreciated.
* The private beach had plastic bottles and litter washed ashore. Rather than the staff trying to get the leaves out of the pool, it would have been better seeing them trying to at least clear some of the litter from the water.

Good for one night transit after visiting Komodo

The hotel was okay for one night. They did have have my booking. I showed them my confirmation number, which they accepted, and they added an extra bed for a 3-person room. Had gado-gado at night and it was very good, and priced reasonably for a hotel. Prompt with hotel shuttle to airport even though I only booked an hour before we had to go. Breakfast buffet was adequate.

We found the rooms very comfortable and the staff always friendly and helpful. It was relaxing to sit poolside and enjoy the view or take a refreshing dip to cool off. We also enjoyed the poolside massage service, excellent for relieving those stresses from travel. We were happy with our stay and reluctant to leave. The hotel was a much higher standard than other accomodation we experienced on the island.
