It is a great apartment hotel that have what you need. Gave me a good base for biking. Great setup with the shuttle service too. Made it super easy. Great walk on the trail next to the ocean that takes you down to the beach.

Very family-friendly hotel with great pool and near the beach. Staff all fantastic - helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful view out over the sea which was magic. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a relaxing break!

Only negative was that the pool was cloudy - not sure why as it was regularly cleaned and maintained.

Very friendly, patient and helpful staff.
The hotel is 8 minutes away from a lovely beach and we were so lucky to stay there.
There is also a bar/pool at the hotel which we also enjoyed.

Great location a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cala Agulla. The first room we were given had a bad drain smell but we were immediately moved to another without fuss which was much better. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a sea view. Lovely spa facilities and great pool area. All staff very friendly and discreet allowing for a quiet break.

LOVE this hotel and especially the friendly staff!

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, my whole family (ages 17-75) loves it here!

Fantastic location with sea views, staff is very friendly and do their best to accommodate wishes. The pool is awesome, split with a separate deep end. Good food for a good price.

Spa has a nice indoor pool with cool water - great during the heat wave.

The guests are also nice, mostly families just enjoying the quiet and relaxed vibe.

We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely clean room in good condition. Pool is average at best. Unattractive hand rail in the middle of the pool. Breakfast was good value and very well stocked. Lovely getting to eat outside before the sun makes it too hot.

Pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly. Room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Bed was good (foam mattress, medium).
Shower was strong, quite good.
Breakfast and dinner were good (dinner changed every day based on different themes), but nothing special.
I found the hotel location quite good, not too busy and within walling distance to restaurants and bars.
There was free parking available in the street nearby.
Only cons: there was a slight smell of cigarette in the room (which I also noted in other hotels in Mallorca).

Great location with beaches within easy reach and a scuba diving centre 2 minutes walk away. Food was excellent, tasty and lots of choice, variety of dishes changed every day. Staff were very helpful. Bit of a trek from the airport with young children (well over 2 hours on coach) but would still recommend.

An Honest Review

We had spent 3 days in Cala D'Or in an all inclusive hotel, in amazing weather then drove up to Cala Ratjada and the Guya Playa. It was stormy but that shouldnt have affected some of the negatives below. First the positives - great local area, great rooms, good food. The Negatives. - NO kids club on Saturday PM or Sunday and no entertainment in Sunday night (we were staying Sunday to Monday) - we have 2 kids that needed a kid club and there was no prior warning it wasnt on, the gym is 6 exercise bikes and some weights, the drinks are more expensive than local restaurants, the staff are efficient but there were no smiling faces. So, given we were a family with 2 kids under 10, the lack of communication prior to arriving about no kids club totally changed our stay. We love being with our kids but equally they love going to kids clubs and having things to do. I left the feeling hotel that our money had been more important than our satisfaction

Great hotel overall. The location was perfect with great views and a 10 minute walk to marina. Room lovely, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fab. My only negative was that the pool was a tad small for the amount of users, and as a result was too busy most of the time. Also staff allowed guests to 'keep' loungers all day by leaving a towel on a bed which I personally find selfish and rude. Because of this it is difficult to get a lounger. I would recomend this hotel overall... but it would be better if there were a rule against doing this.

Well worth a week's stay.

6 nights on Bed and Breakfast rate.
Self catering studio that was a good size, spotlessly clean.
Breakfast is buffet style, could get busy at peak times.
I'm vegan so most of the options weren't for me, but plenty of fresh fruit, bread, jam etc
Coffee was good too and they had a choice of plant based milks.
Pool wasn't the biggest and got busy, I was surprised the amount of children as I had booked my stay before the school holidays.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few people who reserved sunbeds with early morning towels.
Staff were great, friendly and chatty and even though Cala Ratjada is predominantly a German resort, the staff spoke English as well.
I'd booked this hotel as I'd seen it the previous year and thought what a great location, right on the sea front, Unfortunately I'd assumed that all rooms had a sea view, this wasn't the case.
The only thing I didn't like was the balconies weren't very private i.e. the dividing walls weren't high enough and one of my immediate neighbours was a heavy smoker, which I hate the smell of so mean't I hardly used my balcony at all.
The sofa bed in the room was quite utilitarian as a sofa as well, not the most comfortable.
As a vegan, I cooked most of my own food. There are plenty of Spa shops with a limited range of produce and one Eroski supermarket within a 5 minute walk which was OKish. There is a Lidl and another large Spanish supermarket just out of town which was around a 30-40 min walk away.

We had a wonderful 5 night half board stay. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good - restaurant and serving areas were clean and again staff were so accommodating. We arrived early hours of the morning - 2AM and even then a light meal was made available to us. We could not fault this hotel and are looking forward to another visit.

Fantastic from start to finish

Spent a week at THB Guya Playa Class in early September and it was a fantastic stay. The service is exceptional and the receptionist go out of their way to make sure you have a comfort stay. This is not a place where you arrive and bombarded with tons of extra charges. They make sure your holiday starts at arrival. The rooms are magnificent - we luckily had seaview which was fantastic, but the beds are comfortable (not to soft, not too stiff), it's modern, spacious, has all kitchen utilities you need for your short stay and on top of the cleaning ladies were wonderful - not intrusive but ensuring your rooms are cleaned, swept as much as you require. Then there's the room that was beyond perfect - every night a different theme and lots of choices, fresh food cooked by wonderful Eve right infront of your eyes and dessert table with tons of variety. On top of all of this, the location was outstanding. It's in a quiet side street, with mountain and sea view yet close to the most amazing beach (10 mins walk) and corner of the main street for restaurants, shopping etc. We truly enjoyed our stayed and want to thank THB Guya Playa for all of their hard work!

Does what it say's on the tin

A good quality hotel with lovely staff. It's very German but that's Cala Ratjada for you.

The entertainment at night was a bit lame but that's not our thing so it didn't really bother us. It's at the top end of town so quite a walk from the marina but close to the best beach. We also found the best places to eat were close.

It was a lovely hotel, so close to the beach and the views were just amazing! The rooms were very clean, up to standard. It was also kids friendly and they had a Kids Club that kept them entertained for some time. The only negatives for me were that the staff hardly spoke English and communicating was rather difficult. I did struggle to with food as it wasn't that nice. It was fresh and everything but the taste didn't do it for me... I don't think it's the hotel in particular as we tried to eat in other places, I just didn't enjoy it. Apart from that it was a lovely holiday.so peaceful and serene.

Avoid this place..

The service was not very good. The reception insisted me to pay the tax in cash ONLY, even though my hotels.com reservation email said everything has been paid for and I am good to go. Also, there is no parking. Good luck finding your own parking spot when you arrive late.

Beautiful views from a lovely hotel

The hotel is really lovely and I can't fault anything however our holiday was slightly different as a result of the complete German domination in the hotel and the resort. We have absolutely no problem with travelling to places where there are mainly German tourists, which is why I didn't concern myself with the previous reviews saying predominantly German. We have done so on several occasions and enjoyed ourselves. The difficulty is that my son and daughter like to chat to other kids on holiday and couldn't do this. They also couldn't attend the kid's club or kid'a disco as they felt out of place. The entire resort is German focused. In shops and restaurants everywhere everyone speaks Spanish and German- very few people speak English at all and most restaurants don't have English translations on menus. The positive side to this is I had to try much harder to speak and read Spanish- which realistically we should be doing anyway! Even the hotel staff on reception couldn't understand us. I sound very xenophobic and don't want to give that impression at all as I am certainly not. Last summer we went to Germany and loved it. I just want to say that when you book a hotel in Majorca normally staff speak English and normally there is a mix of guests so my children can make friends and play with the others. On the whole once children realised that my two were not German they ignored them. We were delayed and called the hotel but were told to call back later as no one spoke English!

Lack of focus in the costomer

Our stay wat absolutely disappointing. Overall we felt a lack of interest in customers necessities and comfort.

1. The restaurant is closed from 4 PM, and even though at night is a buffet, it was not possible to ask not even a sandwich!
2. The pool beds were always occupied and there was not any policy or help from the hotel on that important issue.
3. The swimming pools are dangerous since there are multiple ways to provoke an accident. The lifeguard is all, but a lifeguard, because is busy with other stuffs but not about child's security.

Lovely holiday at Guya Playa, very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We had disappointed first night as we were put in a studio with awful back Street view. As we had booked a one bed apartment this was annoying after a long journey and late arrival in the early hours of the morning. The reception were very helpful though and moved us to a lovely one bed apartment with Seaview. No quibbles which was a relief, so don't book a studio! Our stay was very enjoyable, clean hotel but very geared to all inclusive, no snacks served during the day at pool bar. The sunloungers were plentiful and comfortable but for some reason weren't set up if it was a cloudy day and guests had to organise their own. Think everyone likes to be by the pool even if the sun isn't shining?? The resort is very much taken over by Germans, which is fine if you don't mind Schnitzel and wartbursters at every single restaurant. No English food at all, so mainly ate at Italian restaurants but would have liked a choice. All in all a nice hotel with beautiful beach and lovely resort of Cala Ratjada about a 20 minutes walk away.

Great place for the family

Make sure you ask for room 135

We stayed here last week...the only redeeming quality of the place was the view from our room. We were put into room 135 which undoubtably is the room was the best view. That is the only positive about this resort. The pool is small and you need to get up at seven AM on your vacation to fight off all the Germans for one stinking pool chair!!! It's Crazy!
Now...lets talk about going \"half board\". When they say none of your drinks are included...they are NOT kidding. Get this...at dinner the buffet of garbage needed to be washed down with water. Seeing that there are only two waitress working the whole place my husband decided to get us all water from the water cooler. He no sooner sat down and we were approached by a manager and were told that we could NOT get water. We thought that there must be a language barrier. There is no way we couldn't get water. Nope...it's true. If you want water you need to pay for it...but no problem taking three extra bananas out of the place at breakfasts. Unreal.
The bedding was discusting. Our duvet had two burn holes and the sheets were never changed. We found a large roach climbing up or of the drain as well.
Tip: skip the pool and go to the amazing beach. Rent a fun slide/paddle boat for £15 an hour and grab a beer and pizza at a cute little restaurant directly ON the beach for £30...the bathrooms there are super clean too. Don't waste a DIME on gong full board or all inclusive. They have mini fridges in the room.

Nice hotel close to amenities

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at a very nice hotel. The facilities at the hotel were excellent, well maintained and extremely clean. The position is close to the amenities in the town and walking distance to the picturesque harbour, which had lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. All of which were excellent value. The only complaint we could have was the size of the balcony which was very small and a little too close to next door, also the view was terrible it resembled something that you wold see on watchdog!!

Good hotel for a quiet week

The hotel was very good. Cala Ratjada is a lovely place for a quiet holiday, although
at the end of the season a lot of places had shut down,but did not affect us.
There was no information at all in the hotel room, about the area or hotel, and found
the reception staff uninformative. The room cleaning service was excellent and plenty
of space and a small kitchen area for making snacks and breakfast. We had good
meals in the town in the evening. The area is beautiful with sights to see with a hired car, which was very easy to arrange.

The Guya Playa was in an amzing location. We had an oceanfront view that made it all worth while. We had a little challenge with ants, but the staff were eager to make sure they were gone. In a climate like that, it is totally understandable.

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, zudem mehrsprachig. Vom Hotelzimmer hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf das Meer. Der Strand Calla Agulla ist in der Nähe. Das Essen lecker und abwechslungsreich.

We had a fantastic stay at THB Guya Playa! The hotel was lovely, with clean facilities and stunning views. The pool area was a bit small but very well-maintained, and the spa pool was a great spot to relax.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. The view is great. A nice beach is just five minutes away. By car other beaches are close by.

The food is average. There is a 7 days food schedule. So if one stays more than three days the same type of food will repeat. But worse is the limited variation. The salat buffet and the dessert buffet are the same every day.

The children animation is really bad in my opinion. Ore kids did not use it much. But any time they wanted to participate in an activity nobody was there or the schedule had been changed.

Leider ist der Außenbereich, wie FrühstücksTerrasse und der Bereich um den Pool herum dreckig. Dort liegen Haare, Dreck, wird leider nicht gereinigt. Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Zimmer werden immer gründlich gereinigt.

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Ich denke ein Zimmer ohne Meerblick in dieser Anlage kommt nicht in Frage bei diesem Ausblick. Die Anlage ist in allem etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht unbedingt ein 4 Sterne Standard. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und leider ist das Essen besonders Abends eine Frechheit. Sowohl das Angebot als auch Qualitativ eher maximal 3 Sterne Niveau, was und dazu gebracht hat das wir jeden Abend in die umliegenden Restaurants essen gegangen sind. Good as a base for going out seeing the east side of the island. Not so good, in my opinion to just stay around the hotel. But there’s a very good beach a 10 minute walk away with good snorkeling.

Es war ein perfekter Urlaub! Die Unterkunft liegt zentral und in Strandnähe. Das Frühstücks- und Abend-Buffet sind traumhaft und lassen keine Wünsche offen. Restaurant-, Spa- und Fitnessbereich sind auch geöffnet und nicht wie von Expedia beschrieben geschlossen. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Unser Lieblingshotel in Cala Ratjada

Ich bin bereits zum dritten Mal Gast im Hotel gewesen. Ich würde immer wieder kommen. Das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich! Die Unterkunft perfekt, genau wie beschrieben. Alles sehr Sauber und gepflegt, zentral gelegen. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Gute, ruhige und saubere Anlage. In Laufdistanz von Strand Gala Agulla gelegen. Breites und leckeres Morge Buffet.
Parkplatz auf/an der Strasse nicht immer einfach zu finden.

Die Unterkunft war wie immer super.
Die Lage des Zimmers weniger. Direkt bei der Zufahrt der Lieferantenanlieferung, Müllentsorgung. Der erste Zulieferer kommt morgens um 06:00 Uhr und dann geht das ständig weiter. Direkt gegenüber werden die Autos einer Autovermietung gereinigt…. Mit Dampfreiniger usw. quasi Waschstrassencharakter….. somit war dieses Jahr ein Benutzen des Balkons so gut wie nicht erträglich.
Auch als Nichtraucher ist es eine Zumutung wenn man von beiden Seiten eingenebelt wird. Also ein weiterer Grund die Balkontür zu zulassen.
Den Pool konnte man vor lauter Kinder und riesigen Schwimmtieren nicht nutzen.
Da der Pool ja eher klein ist, hätte man darauf achten sollen, das auch wirklich der Bereich für Schwimmer freigehalten bleibt.
Da es auch wirklich gar nichts für Kinder gibt, würde ich das Hotel eher als Erwachsenenhotel anbieten .
Fazit: Da ich schon das 5. mal in Folge Gast in diesem Hotel war, hätte man etwas auf die Zimmerauswahl achten können, wobei ich es als Zumutung für JEDEN GAST empfinde und man solche Zimmerlage nicht verkaufen sollte.
Ich werde meinen nächsten Aufenthalt gut überdenken …..

Dejlig lejlighedshotel med god personale. Alt var godt, og eneste minus er der er ret meget larm fra gangen og voksen pool tit blev brugt af børn. Lejligheden har det man skal bruge og ligger i et godt område.

Das Verhältnis Preis/Leistung hat gestimmt! Frühstück und Abendessen waren gut, die Zimmer groß, modern und sauber. Der Pool ist etwas klein. Das Personal sehr freundlich.
Cala Agulla und der Hafenbereich von Cala Ratjada sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Supermärkte sowie Restaurants in direkter Umgebung.

Das Hotel kann ich definitiv weiterempfehlen - egal ob Pärchen, Familie, Alleinreisende. Es waren immer durchweg angenehme Mitreisende/Urlauber da.
Die Zimmer waren geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es fehlte an nichts. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei und war definitiv ein Muss im August. Positiv zu erwähnen war, dass es einen kostenfreien Handtuchservice sowie einen Soccorista (10-19h) am Pool gab.
Insgesamt war das gesamte Personal immer zuvorkommend, freundlich & der ein oder andere immer für ein Spässchen zu haben. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden es wieder buchen. Für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ein tolles Schnäppchen. Und das Essen (in Buffetform) hatte alles, was das Herz begehrt. Frisch vor den Augen zubereitete Pancakes oder Omelette genauso wie abendlich wechselnde Motti (Asiatisch, amerikanisch, Mediterran, etc ). Hier kam wirklich niemand zu kurz!

Super placering tæt på strand og by. Alle medarbejdere var smilende og yderst hjælpsomme. Vi havde to lejligheder en lille og en med et soveværelse, begge i god stand. De små køkkener har begrænset udstyr, men der er det man skal bruge til lidt let mad. Internet var meget velfungerende på hele hotellet. Eneste ulempe vi oplevede var, at sengene var ret hårde særligt sofasengen, men det er jo smag og behag.

Es war Mega schön, die Zimmer sauber und modern eingerichtet, sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Poollandschaft und eine sehr schöne Strandpromenade.
Kann ich mit bestem Gewissen empfehlen. Ich freue mich auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Jahr.
Und Preis- Leistung von Expedia konnte bisher niemand topen.
Wir haben im Gegensatz zu anderen aus unsere Gruppe am wenigsten bezahlt.

Das Wetter war sehr unbeständig, Parken war sehr schwierig. Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend.Das Essen war gut. Es fehlten einige Speisen, die für ein soches Haus zum Standard gehören sollten. ( z.B. Speiseeis, Obstsalate )

Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei der täglichen Reinigung der Zimmer hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass auch mal der Staubsauger verwendet wird, um den Sand vom Strand zu beseitigen. Oder alternativ sollte jedes Zimmer mit Besen und Handfeger ausgestattet werden,damit man mal schnell selbst Hand anlegen kann. Ansonsten alles i.O. und nichts zu beanstanden.
