Well where do I begin…the photos of Pham Gia that are online are very misleading. This was my least favorite hotel in all of my travels throughout Vietnam. The 5 star ratings on this app are definitely not warranted.
When we got into the room it smelled mouldy and was not clean. The room and entire place felt very outdated — it looks nothing like the photos provided. They all seem to be from a time when the hotel was thriving but this place it has definitely seen better days. There is no breakfast buffet as shown in the photos online, instead it’s a very basic set menu, and unfortunately the omelette I ordered was cooked in so much oil that I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointing. Location is ok, but not as central or close to the main part of Hoi An as stated in other reviews in my opinion. I really wish this had been better, it was just nothing like the other reviews stated, I’m honestly kind of shocked that the ratings are so high. I do not recommend staying here at all.

“Our stay at Pham Gia Villa was wonderful! We loved the spacious room, the beautiful pool, and the perfect location — close enough to walk to the Old Town, yet far from the noise. The staff were all very kind and caring, and we truly felt welcomed and like part of a family. We couldn’t have chosen a better place — everything was so convenient and comfortable! We also needed a late check-out due to our flight, and they kindly allowed us to stay longer with no problem at all. Vy, the receptionist, was extraordinary — super friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. She even arranged our airport pick-up when we arrived and our transfer back when we left. We’ll definitely recommend this place to our friends and hope to come back with our family to stay here again.”

Staying at Pham Gia Boutique Resort was wonderful experience. You were treated like family. The resort was spotless, the room was large with a excellent bed. Good breakfast, nice pool and they had scooters and bikes to rent at a reasonable rate. Location is a 15min walk to Old town. Definitely would stay again if returning to Hoi An!

We made use of his offer of a meet and greet taxi service from Da Nang airport which was very reasonable (about £11 sterling)

The Pham Gia Homestay Is like an oasis in the area. The family run business treat all their guests well, like they are part of their family. During our stay Thy, who with his wife, catered for all our needs, organising taxis and booking trips, nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was lovely and clean, we had fresh towels and shampoos every day, and we also had a mini bar and snacks. Our breakfasts,comprising fresh fruits and omelettes, were great. You could also make other selections which were all freshly prepared. After a busy day of visiting the town or beach it as great to know a comfortable bed awaited. The hotel was a 10-20 minute walk to the old town of Hoi An and around 3km from the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this family run boutique (it really is boutique!) for seven nights while we were visiting Hoi An. We loved it:). The beds and shower were the best we had in our five months travelling around Asia. The family and staff run a wonderful little hotel on a nice quiet street that is an easy walk or bike ride to the riverfront tourist area. I broke a big plate that was in the room and they wouldn’t let me pay for it. They couldn’t have been nicer about it. The breakfast was really delicious with fresh food and good choices. One word. Bacon! The staff was friendly and unintrusive. The pool was immaculate and refreshing.

As soon as you walk in the door the front desk greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. The hotel rooms are very spacious, the ac is comfortable, the wifi is fast, the rooms are CLEAN!!! So clean!! The bathroom is perfect and the shower has great pressure and the hot water works great!

Very welcoming family, and you don't feel disturbed by their presence at anytime. The property is not luxurious, but very functional and comfortable, and kept clean at all times. Many bikes are available for rent, some of them premium quality (same low price), which you can take for a short ride to the beach. Old town is walking distance (10-15min), with plenty of restaurants/cafés in between. The pool is also clean and welcoming after a few hours walking in the hot weather. Breakfast buffet is basic, but delicious and plentiful. In summary, very good value for the money, for travelers on a budget.

Fabulous Place to Stay in Hoi An
Pham Gia offers the best advantages of both a hotel and homestay. It is a beautiful, professionally run homestay-- my room was simply beautiful with all of the amenities of a hotel and the personal touches (not too personal though) of a homestay. The free breakfast was lovely and filling and the staff was friendly and knew who I was; when I asked for a recommendation of a short cooking course that I could take the next day, they immediately set it up. And the hotel has a great location. I will stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pham Gia. The staff was so friendly and inviting, the room was lovely, the breakfast was good, and the location was quiet but still close (10 minute walk) to most things you'd want to do in Ancient Town. They also had great recommendations for restaurants! The only thing I'd mention is that there is a midnight curfew, so if you're planning on partying, this is not the place for you!

Our favorite place we stayed on our 2 week Vietnam trip! The staff was really sweet (giving us a warm welcome, helping us book a taxi for a day trip very last minute, etc) and the room was huge and very clean! We loved staying a little out of Old Town as it was an easy walk and gave us a little more peace and quiet. Nice breakfast!

My husband and I just left and we can't say enough wonderful things about Pham Gia. Mr.T and his whole team go out of their way to ensure every guest has a great time during their stay. The villa is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning and was delicious. It's about a 15 minute walk to the old town/river but the neighborhood felt very safe. The villa even arranged a ride for us to the airport for a small fee.

This is a safe, clean, modern place to stay with Smart TV, and internet. The family is always ready with the complimentary hot breakfast. It is a bit more expensive than the hostals but you get what you pay for in this case. It is a great place to stay also because it is close to everything. You can walk but you may also rent a bicycle or motor bike. I highly recommend staying here.

Pham Gia is a nice little boutique hotel that offers unbeatable prices and spacious and clean rooms. We were not made to feel particularly welcome but it is well-managed and the service is good. For those wanting something closer to the historic district, this may not be the ideal location. It is about a 15-20 minute walk one-way so not very convenient if you want to come back to your room for a short nap or to freshen up just before you head out to dinner. You can rent bicycles but you have to pay parking charges park them anywhere in the historic district. The neighborhood is very quiet and more local than what you would get in the heart of the historic district. So it's a trade-off. Overall, we were pleased with what we got for the very reasonable price we paid.

Charming homestay and hosts
Everything about Pham Gia is first class: bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies, breakfasts, transfers, tours and anything you wanted Thy and his wife to help you with. The location is ideal and it only takes 10 minutes to walk into the old town or cycle to An Bang beach, or it is very cheap to get a taxi if you prefer. I had high expectations from reading other reviews and Pham Gia did not disappoint in any way.

This \"homestay\" is more like a bed and breakfast. The rooms are divinely comfortable. I didn't want to get out of bed most days because it was such a pleasant change from the typical hard beds found in SE Asia. The shower is huge, with wonderful pressure. Wifi was constant and strong. We rented a motorbike and booked bus tickets through them with no problems. Breakfast was suitable. The family was professional and helpful. The location was good if you're able to drive a motorbike. It was a bit of a walk on foot but the taxis in the area are trustworthy and it's a short drive the attractions.

Excellent value homestay just outside of tourist centre (10-15 min walk). The room was very clean, great walk in rain shower, and really comfy bed. Only issue was that the staff were not overly friendly. Breakfast was average as well. But if you consider the price for the level of comfort, it's very good.
