I love everything about this hotel. The owner himself greets his guests everyday and checks on them. Small town hospitality is on full display here. Breakfast is simply amazing, they are very generous with their options. Ladies who prepare the food and also the ladies at the front desk are very sweet and kind. I highly recommend this hotel.

In short. You get what you pay for, don't go expecting a very high standard of service standards or breakfast choices. It's the same old stuff daily. Language is barrier even with translation. Another point to take note, is that they don't even have Credit card payment options. We were told to pay for tours using hard cash, which is not an ideal option, especially if you plan to use cash ONLY for souvenirs, food, shopping at stalls or shops that use only cash.

Great hotel and services. Best value for money.

The service at the hotel is amazing. I have a wonderful stay at the hotel. There were a couple issues at the room but they addressed it quickly. I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

The room is big and nice balcony to relax after a long day. Breakfast has a lot of options. Hotel location is about 10-15 minutes walk from old town. I like it as it's very quiet at night. The hotel neighbourhood is very nice too, many shops, restaurants and mini-marts around. Very safe to walk around.

There is free bike to use. I used it for 3 days and bike everywhere. Be aware that some bikes are not in good condition. You might want to check it before leaving the hotel. I ran into an issue on the last day. The paddle broke off while I was biking around. You can call the hotel or find a motorbike shop nearby to fix it. I have it fixed at a bike shop and bike back to hotel okay.

Hotel also can arrange tour and book transportation too. They booked a car for me to go to Da Nang. It's cheaper than Grab.

It was a nice place to stay. Our kids enjoyed playing in the pool. It is about a 20 minute walk to the ancient town. My only complaint was that it advertised king beds on the listing. We were traveling as a family of 6 and the room definitely was not big enough and the beds were more like queens at best. If going with a group of 6 I would definitely get two rooms!

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Hotel receptionist was informative and explain to us how to travel around this area with a map. They also recommend nearby food for us to try too. There is a vegetarian restaurant nearby with cooking class. Also provide bicycle for us to cycle around the area for free but noted that one of the aft wheel is wobbly when we cycle so it’s best to check before u cycle off. There are many convenience store nearby too. Definitely will stay here again if we come back to Hoi An again.

Our 6 night stay at The Green Apple was very nice. The hotel is quiet and quaint, tucked away from the noise of Old Town Hoi An. The staff was wonderful and so helpful with everything. We were able to walk to Old Town and when we were tired or hot, we just got a quick taxi ride. We were able to book 2 short tours through the front desk: one was a cooking class and the other was a Vespa ride through the countryside. Excellent! Green Apple handled all of the arrangements and details. They also booked a taxi ride to the airport when we needed to leave. If we are ever in Hoi An again, this is where we will stay!

The room was clean and roomy, with the addition of a balcony was great.
The owners of the hotel were so very helpful with anything we asked or needed.
The pool was great, but could do with some big shade umbrellas as it gets no protection from the sun.
Breakfast was nice with cereal, toast, yoghurt, eggs to order and fruit for me, and many other Asian choices are available for the more adventurous.
The Green Apple is about a 15 minute walk to Old Town, and there are dining options all around as well.
We had no problem being picked up and dropped off there from local tour companies, it is easy to find.
For the cost of the room per night, it was great value for money with breakfast included.

This is a family business with the real love you don't often see. Ho was amazing arranging EVERYTHING!! Our transfer to Danang was cheaper than anyone else. She arranged trips to Hue, snorkelling, lantern making, cookery class and monkey mountain all cheaper than you find online. Breakfast is a good selection of fruit, juice, eggs, rice, noodles, bread, bacon, sausage etc The room is spacious, modern, fresh and the A/C is great. Nice bathroom/shower. Fresh towels and bedsheets and the room had an amazing balcony. Lovely plunge pool to chill out in. Perfectly located for the beach, restaurants, the old town, night market but nice and quiet. YOU MUST stay here! This family will do everything to help you from a massage to a tailored suit. They are the most kind welcoming people we have met in Vietnam 🙏 We will be back ❤️

Great place to spend a few days in Hoi An. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to downtown but on a quiet street so no noise during the night. Comfy beds and hot/powerful shower. The rooms are really clean and AC was very good. The breakfast had options to suit all tastes. The best feature was the owner, family and staff who work at the hotel. They were all kind, friendly and made me feel welcome. The owner went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the room I had booked!

I had a lovely time at the Green Apple Hotel. Youi was a wonderful host who would bend over backwards to help you. The hotel was peaceful and I never heard a kid bang a drum. The pool was a great way to wash away the heat. The balcony a lovely way to take in the breeze. There were plenty of movie channels. The hotel itself was about a twenty minute walk to the river, but there were plenty of restaurant choices a few minutes from the door. I had a week in Hoi An and couldn't fault the Green Apple Hotel.

When I arrived there was a boy outside banging a loud drum. You could hear in everywhere in the hotel. I mentioned it to hotel management and they seemed very nonchalant about it. Grabbed my bag and left. The surrounding area is very loud. For some this isn't an issue but for me all I care about is peace and quiet. I don't care about the staff, cleanliness, breakfast options, location, etc.... I just want quiet.

Really enjoyed my stay at this location. The owner and staff were quite helpful.. and the location is about 15min from Hoi An old city..

The neighborhood was quiet with eating and entertainment within walking distance. Breakfast: noodle stand on the corner across the hotel was delicious. Give it a try..

Vietnam is ramping backup and if traveling to Hoi An give this little \"mom and pop\" hotel some business.

The staff go out of their way to make yiu feel comfortable and are incredibly lovely, however there are a few things that they can work on.
Cleanliness is key and unfortunately this property didnt stand up, there were stains on the walls, a booger on the wall of my room which was never cleaned and it wasnt ours so, gross. There is always a puddle of water by the big plant on the patio, which both my husband and I almost slipped on numerous times.
The breakfast is definitely not wort getting up for and can use alot of work both in execution and variety. The beds and pillows are the worst ive had so far in asia and the shower not only has minimal hot water but the pressure is non existent. The free bikes to go into town are a nice touch tho.

This was the best place we stayed in Vietnam!! It was walkable from old town, but out of the chaos. The staff was extremely helpful in booking us tours, cars and giving recs for local spots for massages and more! Great breakfast spread as well. Would definitely stay again.

Loved Stay But Laundry Service Needs Improvement

The hotel was great. We enjoyed the few nights we stayed there. It had comfortable accommodations, the staff were very helpful, it's well situated within walking distance to the old town (15min) and has vegetarian restaurants close by. Our only recommendation is to change who they use for laundry service. The price was good, but after the initial perfume of the laundry wore off (~24hrs), we realized everything still smelled dirty and had to rewash.

We borrowed their bikes , we went for ride till it was check in. When we checked in we found a room that was just cleaned. The beds where great. A/c worked perfectly. Affordable perfection

Green Apple is the perfect combination of comfort and service. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with fresh fruit and a drink before leading us to our room. When we reached our room, we found it to be new and clean, with beautiful views overlooking the city. It also had a fully stocked mini bar with everything one could desire. The included breakfast was also delicious with a variety of tropical fruits, Bánh Mì (bread), and many Vietnamese inspired dishes.

Above all else, we found the staff to be incredible. They were extraordinarily kind and helpful. They gave us directions to some local spots around the city, arranged a car to reach the airport, and looked out for us by checking and double checking to make sure we had our passports before leaving. While the room was beautiful, and the breakfast delicious, I would say that the staff is truly what sets this place apart. How all of this can be available at such a low cost baffles me, but if you are looking to visit the city of Hoi An, this is definitely the place to stay.

We originally booked to stay here for 3 nights but it was so good we asked if we could stay for another two. The hotel is lovely, rooms are big and clean. The staff are very friendly and will do anything they can to help. I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days and they made me ginger tea and asked if there was anything else they can do to make me feel better. We would like to thank Lin for being so lovely throughout our stay, with all the other staff also being really friendly. The hotel is close walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. We ate at the hotel most days as the food was very good and also very cheap compared to eating out. The breakfast that was included was great with lots to choose from. Lin also helped book our taxi and train to Nha Trang which was very helpful. We had a great time in Hoi An and hope we can find more hotels as nice as the Green Apple.

Really friendly staff, easy check in and clean rooms. I only stayed one night at this hotel while I was in Hoi An.

I booked a room which included breakfast however the morning before I was to check out, I was told the breakfast would not be buffet style but would be a la carte. Options were limited, other guests were also unhappy when advised of this. There is construction happening in the front of the property which leaves the pool area open to the public and creates a noisy environment. My room was right above the construction.

During my stay, the elevator was not working properly so I had to take the stairs down from the third floor. Wifi was also spotty in the morning. Little things about this hotel made me change over to a different one for the rest of my stay in Hoi An. Price per night was a little on the higher end for the quality and size.

We had a five night stay at Green Apple. The staff was very attentive on learning our names and how our stay was going. The hotel is a walkable distance to Ancient Town and the Yum Yum restaurant, across the street, has the best Cau Lao. The hotel bicycles were a bit used. It was hard to adjust the seats properly. We also had a negative experience with the excursion driver the hotel arranged for us. The driver spoke little English, Hotel thought he did, so it made our trip to Hue a bit frustrating and long.

Everything about this place is great except for our air conditioning in the room. Staff are super attentive and sweet. Pool while on the smaller side was refreshing and quiet. I’ve learned that smaller pool means less kids staying there😀 Free bicycles are available- a lot of them so it is easy to get into the Old Quarter as well as the beach. Given the chance I would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant Boutique Hotel

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. We had a room facing the street on the 5th floor (top) this time and it was brilliant. We had to make a change to our booking so I contacted them and they said no problem whatsoever. They have bicycles you can use which would be good for going to the beach. Sometimes we walked down to riverside and sometimes we had a taxi (very cheap) meter one's. If we go back to Hoi An we will definately stay here again.

Modern hotel with clean comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The shower was good pressure and hot.

Staff were very pleasant and friendly but were under pressure to sell trips, which were of fair value.

Breakfast was good although for a European a little limited in choice. Eggs and omelettes were fresh and bread excellent, accompanied by fresh fruit, so no need to go hungry.

The hotel is midway between beaches and old city so expect a serious walk, taxi ride to either although if you are brave or foolish enough bicycles are available.

The is a swimming pool but this is quite small.

I LOVED the Green Apple!!!

Loved, loved, LOVED this hotel! The staff are amazing...having been there only 2 nights, the staff took great care in remembering our names, and making our stay a memorable one! About a 20 minute walk to the market and old town, but a very safe one. I walked back to the hotel at 11:00pm, alone, and never did i feel uncomfortable. I loved the fact when i arrived, the security guard was sleeping on a cot in the lobby!
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only problem is the showers...water spills all over the bathroom after you shower. Breakfast is amazing with a large selection to include a custom omelet station. thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful stay in a wonderful little city!

Lovely people, the boss is always making an effort to please you. We havemention 2 ladies, Suong and Lien both have excellent English, give good advice and were genuinely interested in our stay. 10 minute walk to the old town. Trying to get a taxi back from the night market is a \"nightmare\" they won't take you as it's only a small fare, ok if you are still fit, but after being on our feet for over 7 hours we needed a cab. Solution,. just get in the cab and refuse to leave. A little gem in all our Asian travels is the Green Apple, just bring your own soap. Bob & Vicky Trotter.

The best hotel in our many trips to Asia

Green Apple Hotel was wonderful. First, the negatives if any. The location is a little bit of walking from old town, but they do have a free shuttle. Sound travels through the rooms rather easily but that is very common with hotels in Vietnam. However, we were very surprised by our stay. For the many trips/hotels we have stayed in Asia over the years, this hotel has to rank among the top one or two. The hotel is in a decent setting with modern clean design. Lobby was appealing. Check-in was great and easy. Room is large enough with a balcony, ver comfortable. King size bed was the best for our Asian trips. Pool looked clean and pleasant. Breakfast was quite good. Management and staff was very welcoming and attentative. Free Shuttle to the beach was good extra. Overall, this was a wonderful stay in a beautiful town. Thank you Green Apple. We really appreciate your excellent 5 star service. This is a first for me to give such great comments for a hotel. Good budget hotel.

This hotel is great value for money. Staff are very friendly & helpful & even go to the trouble of remembering your name. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned & cleaned everyday. Bed is comfortable. Only Jasmine tea in room so bring your own tea/ coffee. Prices are very reasonable in restaurant & for bottled water etc. Breakfast is very good, mix of Asian & western and they regularly restock even just before 10am! Swimming pool is in shade so can be cold and perhaps isn’t suitable for children as quite deep & tiles slippery. Free bikes provided & shuttle to old town. Outside of old town area which is approx 15 min walk.

Nice hotel accessible from city

we loved our stay. its a great place with limited rooms. i wd have preferred much larger towels as these were tiny n budget. Bathrooms are small and shampoo etc are in pouches with tiny soaps. The staff through are incredible .Not far from markets. Took us 10 min or so if you do not get lost. A few hotels exist near by as well. Breakfast adequate n staff willing to make something you may like. Its Vietnam so lot of Vietnamese items. There are few eateries near by but i ate mostly in city more so at indian food Ganesh. terrific food. there is not much noise even street facing as seemed quiet unless there is a wedding. i took hotel transport to n fro airport and paid extra Hoi An is superb. Reception staff very great folks. Try for larger rooms that i had as i have no idea about the rest. try book directly i am certain you will save a bundle. or shop near by hotels i read very low rates than i paid and good properties. This is a good place as well what u pay is what u get.Well versed reception folks.

Green Apple employees are almost too nice, if that’s even possible! They were so happy to help, ready to assist with anything, it was great! We love Hoi An and will be staying with Green Apple the next time we visit.

We have gotten used to good service in Vietnam, but Green Apple is a real stand out. We really felt valued and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Free shuttle and bicycles to get around, great breakfast. Will recommend to friends and family.

Top choice among all Vietnam hotels.

This was by far the best hotel of any we stayed at in Vietnam including HCMC, Na Trang, Hue, Hoi An and Danang. The staff were like family, the facility was like new and spotless, beds were perfect and the breakfast was amazing.

Perfect hotel to spend a week at

Checked in and received a welcome drink and fruit plate. Our rooms were perfect clean and exactly how the pictures are on expedia. It was about 10 min walk to the old town but there are bikes to borrow to make the trip quicker. The hotel manager was amazing and helpful she always wanted to help or point us in the right direction. Was a great week sad we has to check out.

Short bike ride to city centre

Thank you for the great experience Green Apple Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay; staff were all very helpful & went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They provide complimentary bikes where you can use to ride into town or they also have a complimentary shuttle bus which runs once every hour that takes you into town centre. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Hoi An in the future.

Nice Hotel with shuttle

Good hotel just outside of old town, hotel has a free shuttle which will drop you off or pick you up from old town as well provided complimentary bicycles. Both my husband and I booked a massage through the front desk massage was good except the young lady doing my husbands massage continuously was on her phone thus massaging with only 1 hand not really the relaxing atmosphere listening to someone speaking on their phone, can’t fault the hotel for this though.
Overall enjoyed our stay, everyone was friendly and very accommodating.

Wonderful staff! Easy access to town and beach.

We loved our stay at the Green Apple Hotel. The staff are a joy and most helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. It's a short, ~15 minute, walk to the historic section of Hoi An, or you can borrow a bike from the hotel and quickly be away from the congestion of the city, out in the rice paddies, or over to the beach.

Fresh and crisp as a green apple

Stayed 2 nights and wish we had time to stay more. A very clean and comfortable hotel for the price and the star rating. Our son left his headphones in the room, thank you to the staff for kindly forwarding them to us at hotel in Da Nang. The shuttle bus to Old Town was very helpful particularly as it was raining for most of our stay. However it’s only a 15 minute easy walk from Old Town and river front. Breakfast buffet was excellent and has a wide range of choices of cooked dishes and fresh fruit. Staff arranged a car to take us to Da Nang and stopped and waited for 2 hours for us to see Marble Mountain along the way ($35). When we return to Hoi An we will definitely stay at Green Apple Hotel

Cons: Shower cubicle leaks water, which wets the floor of the bathroom. Toiletries needs to be replenish on a timely manner

Friendly Staff and Nice Hotel

I arrived by bus from Da Nang and it was a short drive by motorbike to bring me to the hotel. The staff emailed me immediately after I made the booking and had been very responsive in answering questions. I like the room and the balcony. The sheets feel very clean and the ceiling lamp in the room fits the oriental town atmosphere. There are also restaurants and cafes close by, but certainly, you will find tons of restaurants and bars at the town center. Overall I had a pleasant stay here. If you need to go to the airport, the hotel offers a private car. Also you can find a shuttle bus to bring you to the airport.

Nice hotel close to old town

We were able to bike everywhere from the hotel. Old town was about a 5-10 min bike ride depending on how fast you are and how brave you are to face the traffic patterns. We also biked to An Bang beach which was about 15 mins. The hotel staff new our names and the breakfast had a great buffet spread with unlimited coffee! Would definitely recommend

Good hotel for the price

This place is a 20 min walk from the old town. There is a free shuttle on the hour from 10am but I often walked. It is safe and quiet. There is a nice pool. I would have liked to have had a morning swim but it is right next to the restaurant where they serve breakfast till 10 so it’s on display. The staff are lovely and when I arrived they served me a much appreciated bowl of fruit and glass of juice.

Great hotel, excellent value and lovely staff

This was my favourite hotel during our two week visit to Vietnam. It was clean, staff were very warm yet courteous and professional. The room, with balcony at the front, was spacious, with an enormous double bed, generous shower room and no noticeable street noise. The hotel is quite new so was was excellent value. It also seems to be popular with Vietnamese/Korean families although they seemed to be passing through.
The breakfast was excellent with a choice of Vietnamese hot food and Western food. Good quality, egg dishes cooked to order in the breakfast room and all-you-can-eat.
15 mins walk into town, which was easy even late at night (felt safe as a couple) and I appreciated being set back from the bustle of Hoi An town. Also, it placed us on the way out of town for cycle rides to two of the nearby beaches. The hotel provides free bikes and locks - very useful! The shuttle bus into town was helpful and one day when there was a delay, a cab was organised without prompting to take us into town! They arranged a good deal for airport transfers and we had a warm send off from the lovely staff.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to visit again if in Hoi An.

I know when I am on to a good thing!

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Vietnam. I’m back at the “Green Apple Hotel” for the 3rd time. It’s a small hotel and very personal. Staff members know who you are and care for you. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Just remember that things don’t always go to plan in Vietnam. The power may go off, wifi may fluctuate, the water may not always be hot, there may be no iron available, typhoons and rain may alter your plans, but one thing that is always constant is the charm of the people. Smile, laugh and don’t be grumpy because things don’t always go your way. Learn some Vietnamese before you arrive and I’m sure that you will have a wonderful time here.

5* hotel!

This is a fantastic hotel (nicer than some of the 4* hotels that I've stayed in in London) and is an amazing price! The hotel is very modern, has a nice pool area, modern clean rooms and bathroom. There is a large breakfast buffet everyday. I was very ill during my trip (no fault of the hotel) and the staff were very helpful arranging a doctor to visit me in the hotel and when I recovered, they gave me and my partner a free dinner in the restaurant which was a lovely touch (and the food was amazing). It is a 10 minute walk to the Old Town (where the shops and restaurants etc are) and the hotel provides free bikes that you can ride to the beautiful beach. The hotel also provides a free bus to the Old Town that goes every hour.

Relaxing hotel outside of Ancient Town

We stayed here for 4 days in early October. The hotel is located around a 10 minute bike ride/20 minute walk from Ancient Town. It's around a 15/20 minute ride to An Bang Beach. We liked staying just outside the busy tourist centre as it was quieter and there were more locals around. The hotel room was so comfortable with a huge bed and a balcony and the shower pressure was great. It was a very quiet hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing for cooling off in the hotter afternoons. We borrowed the free bikes every day and it was a lifesaver. The breakfast buffet was delicious - good selection of local and North American dishes. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Nice hotel, great breakfast & restaurant.

Unfortunately we had to leave early and return home. The staff were very helpful in arranging transport and even packed us a nice breakfast. Very grateful and fabulous service.
