It is close to Joshua tree national park. It was very clean. The TV didn't work and they couldn't get it fixed. I was expecting something for the inconvenience but got nothing. It's about what you would expect for a $70.00 per night room.

Excellent location to west entrance of JTNP. We stayed 2 nights. Bed was comfortable. Coffee was provided but very weak. Housekeeping offered, but we did not use it. We were in the room only at night. There is no microwave and there are tokens to use the ice machine based on how many nights you are staying. Which will fill up the little container in your room. There is a small pool but we didn’t have time to use. This Motel served our purpose & was clean.

I came into town for one night and accidentally left my GoPro in the room. I was already in California by the time I called and they had found the camera and shipped it to me immediately after my postage paid pre-addressed envelope arrived. I was very thankful. Additionally, the property could not have been more clean. It’s not a luxury hotel by any means but if cleanliness is your priority, everything else was fine. No bells and whistles but HONEST, clean, and safe! Thank you 🙏!

I was under the impression it was $80 and when I reveiwed by checking account the charge was $90. The grounds were clean, the bed was super comfortable. I did not use the a/c as it was chilly when I got there and the window was open. The bathroom light in 109 would not turn on...it flickered and went off.

It's a little older property but the room was clean and comfortable had cable TV and a coffee maker and a refrigerator and microwave. Parking was good and the gentleman who ran the place let me borrow a lawn chair to take out to the park to look at stars. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a place close to the park

We always stay here when we go to Joshua Tree. The motel is conveniently located near the park entrance. The rooms are a bit dated but always clean and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The only real downside and this will sound strange being in the middle of the desert where the heat can become unbearable, but their swimming pool is extremely ICE COLD. Even in 100+ degree weather the pool can give you an instant headache it is a constant ice temperature and does not heat up with the desert sun.

We needed a place to stay for a few hours and High Desert Motel was perfect for that. Front desk was friendly, room was large and clean, and AC worked very well. If you're looking for a decent stay on a budget that's right next to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, this is the place to book.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Joshua Tree. As a motorcyclist, I look for no frills places and this met all my needs. The only downside is that Highway 62 is pretty busy at night. Also, the pool is not heated, but the water felt great on my boot feet!

We wound up arriving 90 minutes early and they were able to check us in anyway which was delightful. This is not a destination hotel and they don't pretend to be. it was a perfect place to stay while going and exploring Joshua Tree National park. it was clean, perfectly located, and had a good pool for colling off. The only real draw back was the WiFi got very slow as the hotel filled up and more people logged on. it very often failed for any kind of streaming for peak hours. Went to bed early and was well rested for the next day. Overall it was a win.

If you are looking for an easy place to stay with a great location, this is it! The rooms may be a bit dated, but it was perfect for a budget-friendly place to stay. Parking was included in a small lot, and the Motel is so close the cute shops and the entrance to the National Park. Check-in was a breeze, and speaking of breeze, the air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. We didn't spend much time in the room, and found it a perfect place to rest after our days full of activities!

I think they have a two night minimum when booking on Expedia as I can never get a room for just night, but on the trips whe I am staying multiple days this is the hotel I will always stay at!!

Room was clean. Stuff was basically OK. AC worked but it wasn’t crazy hot either - so can’t say how it would be in high temps. We did need to jimmy the vent a little to aim it, it was kinda broken that way. The fridge worked. The TV worked. The WiFi worked. The pool was decent.

Stuff was a little rundown - but not terrible. Over all not disappointing, it was a good value. The bed was stiff. Biggest complaint was the pillows were terrible and there were no extras in the room.

Staff was very friendly and overall not a bad stay.

This is a cheap, older motel, and you get what you expect for the price. All the basics are there - fridge, microwave, wi-fi, practical but not glamorous. There are laundry machines on site.
The location for Joshua Tree National Park is unbeatable. There is significant traffic noise from the highway, which goes on late into the night and starts again around 5am. Fortunately I planned on leaving early to catch the sunrise anyway. The pillows were thick and quite firm, memory foam style, which meant they couldn't be shaped to preference. I wish hotels would provide two or three pillows of different types/thicknesses.
I didn't try the pool, but one of my fellow guests reported it was very cold, despite the air temperature being in the 80s.

This is a classic American motel. It was an absolute bargain and exactly what we needed for an overweight stop. A clean and convenient place to sleep and shower, with shops and restaurants close by for dinner and breakfast. There was also a little kitchenette and coffee provided in the room which was a welcome change after Vegas, where you get nothing for free!

This motel was clean, I had a large quiet room away from the highway, There was a fridge and microwave. The exterior ambiance was a bit outdated with unusual interior color scheme. However, the road was loud, the king bed + single bed had two pillows TOTAL, the decor was severely outdated, and the front door lock didn't feel safe. For the price, you get what you pay for. I would only stay here again if I were on a tight budget or if I was a very late check-in AND early check-out, merely to rest my head after a long day.

My only concern was noise from traffic, but my room was closest to the highway and the air conditioner felt almost like an open window. Internet was spotty at times.

Can't beat the location to Joshua Tree for the price.
