Solid property close to Pioneertown for the concert we attended. Interior of room is Ikea. Extra bedding helped, quiet property. Joshua Tree is 30 minutes away. A lot of parking, no elevator. Tiny gift shop, no breakfast but they have coffee. Staff is super friendly and helpful. That was the best part of the stay.

Only giving it 4 stars because when we entered the room, the floor was extremely wet with puddles in several areas. It seemed like it had been cleaned but not properly dried, and my kids almost slipped. I was also expecting a larger play area based on the photos. That said, we still had a great time, and the pool was definitely the highlight of our visit.

We stayed at Field Station for one night to go to a concert at Pappy and Harriet's and we have a really beautiful experience. The staff were not only so helpful, friendly and kind, but went above and beyond and upgraded our room to a much larger suite style room as well as comped our coffees that we got from them in the morning. This felt really nice and special to be treated that way and they were just so wonderful and helpful throughout our experience. I loved spending time at the pool, which is a beautiful, clean and well maintained area. The rim itself were very clean, minimalist, and modern and design. Some things to note I would love if they actually had coffee makers in the rooms and although I really loved their fire pit area, it was kind of odd. The buildings around there had very bright fluorescent lights that were on above each and every patio, which really took away from the ambience of both the fire pit and beautiful, strong lights that were more warm lighting. I would recommend keeping those off to create a better vibe in that area but nonetheless, I loved the overall experience we had inconvenience in location as well as great amenities that felt very valuable with a really affordable hotel experience.

We stayed in this location due to its easy access to Pioneertown.
A really good value for the money!

Room was very clean but extremely bare- not cozy in the least. There was only one folding chair available in the room- no other chairs or seats. There was no coffee pot, ice bucket, mugs or silverware. There was a small refrigerator but it did not have a freezer. Ice was available for a charge. Only one larger towel per person. The room was also quite dark and not well lit. There was a nice sitting area outside but it was only reached through a sliding door so at night it wasn’t possible to have an open window to let in fresh air. There were no other windows in the room. The hotel had a nice pool but basically everything else came with a fee- coffee at the front desk for a fee- breakfast for a fee.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The modern room was spacious, comfortable and clean. (Its small refrigerator did not have a freeze compartment, which would have been helpful for thermal packs.) On occasion, there was some sort of sharp noise (not terribly loud), which sounded like equipment or facilities. ? Have no idea what, but was curious and a bit of a nuisance. The lounge/gift shop area was attractive. Coffee options near there were great, though I feel regular coffee should be included for guests as part of room cost. I didn’t take advantage of the outdoor fire pit or the pool/hot tub but they all appeared great. The list of recommended restaurants given to me at check in included one that was permanently closed, which I found out when I drove over to it for dinner. Also, the box of tissues in the bathroom only had one left so I had to wait a bit at the front desk while a fresh box was retrieved. Overall, very good. The second time I have stayed there to visit Joshua Tree and would likely stay again.

The room was clean and pet friendly. The refrigerator did not have a mini chest freezer (no big deal but plan for that). There was not a coffee maker or teapot in the room but they have a small cafe in the lobby. The pool was clean and they had a lot of games as well as outdoor space available to us. The bed was a bit hard for me but I know I like to sleep in vs on them. There is not a great space ergonomic wise to work from or play cards as we often do in the room. Overall we would stay again just be prepared a bit differently.

We stayed multiple nights and they didn’t clean our room due to staff shortages. Overall, would not recommend. You could get much more for the same price elsewhere.

Very nicely renovated hotel with clean rooms and lobby. Rooms are spacious, clean and easily accessible to the main lobby. The main lobby is nice and cute with a small coffee and breakfast bar. Joshua tree west entrance is just about 20mins away. If you get a room on the first floor though, you will hear upstairs guests if they are loud at night. But otherwise the hotel is nice and beautiful

Fabulous location and brilliant staff. Our room was in a great location with a picnic table outside and near to the pool. Very friendly staff at check in. The fire pit, outdoor games and outdoor seating were just brilliant in this location. Really close to Joshua tree National park visitor centre (15 minute drive) lots of places to eat nearby.

(Only slight issue the first morning we went over to get food from the cafe for breakfast and the member of staff said they were possibly going to open in about an hour, with hungry young children this wasn’t ideal so we picked up breakfast from a local supermarket for the following day)

This is a decent boutique hotel, but it fails to live up to its potential and promise. The hot tub was green during my stay. The text-if-you-have-an-issue was very hit and miss. The hotel ran out of towels. The food and coffee was very hit and miss (more miss). The walls are very thin and you can hear neighbors easily. They need more staff.

It’s difficult to give this hotel a higher rating as we had to wait just under 2 hours for our room to be ready (after the check in time of 4pm). To be told 30 min and it taking 1hr 45min is not a great way to start the visit there. Otherwise the hotel room was lovely, the pool was refreshing, the hot tub was looking off color, and there wasn’t a coffee set up in the room (you had to pay for coffee in the lobby, that’s a first).

Will be coming back! The stay at Field Station was a highlight of my trip. Easy drive in and out of the national park and close to TONS of awesome restaurants and breakfast spots (but the coffee in the lobby was a must every day). Super functional room lay out and loved being able to walk right from the room to the pool and back in seconds.

But above all else the staff was incredible! Every employee was so nice and helpful. It really made the experience extra special. Thank you! And can’t wait to see you next time.

My bank account was charged 3 times with different amounts in “holds” which overdrew my bank account resulting in multiple overdraft fees. They also charged my husband’s card separately. Over a week of dealing with the bank trying to get it sorted out. The room itself wasn’t bad, but this bank situation has ruined it for me.
A $300 room has now turned into hundreds in overdraft fees and a headache. Won’t be returning.

We had a 4:00 p.m. check-in time but the room was not ready until after 7:30 p.m.! The room was spacious and clean. There were two small tables in the room, but no chairs; just a very short bench. The shower floor was very slippery (there was no shower floor mat) and there were no washcloths (washed my face with a hand towel). The faucet was loose.

My wife and I had no way of knowing that this motel had the bare essentials - all cement floor, no chairs, closet to hang your clothes, closet for extra towels, a toilet paper roller hanging from a bungee cord, a bit of a smell, no free breakfast, ,etc.

On the positive, it was clean, very good shower, hot water, free wi-fi, adequate parking, quiet, and very comfortable bed.

Advertised as a 3-star hotel. Hmm, I'd say 2.5.
