I have been to the bar at this hotel in prior years, but never stayed at the hotel. I was not expecting a good or bad stay, but I can say, that I was not disappointed. I loved the freedom I had from the room to the pool. I felt at home since I was able to use the pools whatever time I wanted. I will definitely be staying here more often in my mini getaways and definitely bringing my kid too. Great stay. I do recommend.

Ghetto, dirty, ew... Food ok, bar was ok.. but, All I got was a few beers. No atm, no water available after the restaurant closes at 8pm. It was windy that day so the pools were filthy. The main pool was murky and seems like not was full of piss. Didn't even want to put my feet in.

This hotel was way beyond standards people went in my room intoxicated due to slider not locking. There were cockroaches in the room I took photos. The ice machine did not work. It’s hot in the desert no ice? I sent them messages never recieved a response. Staff was short and unfriendly at all times. I have been coming since I was a child and am so disappointed with the deterioration of the facilities. I would have stayed the entire month had they atleast try to address one of the issues. Stay down the street I’m sure the visit will be better even without the extra jacuzzis which I forget they don’t have jets that work employ said he would come fix and never did.

There were my state and was on the second floor. There were no elevators and like most other people said the carpet outside was worn and you can see there were holes and if you went outside, you can smell marijuana. noise was OK. It was not that loud. There were any outdoor pools of varying sizes and temperatures. They were loading in the pool from the environment, like dead trees, and maybe bugs. We accidentally booked this hotel we meant to book. The one next-door will not be back because a lot of things weren’t working such as a sink or overfilled and then we weren’t able to turn on the shower, even though we pull on the faucet real hard. The staff downstairs was able to come out early morning and try to help us pull the faucet and turn it on but then again it was hard for us to do it so we ended up not turning it off completely so that we can turn it back on the next day and used the shower. They were shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion in a small bottle, but we were allergic to the ingredients in the lotion. It made us itch and our skin actually turned red and this was before going out into the sun. There’s a on-site restaurant that one was not good because they serve questionable food sometimes they would not have certain ingredients and things were way too sweet overall I do not recommend going to that restaurant. I recommend going to the high-end hotel restaurant nearby. And the gate to the parking lot was broken so it was left open all the time. Never again!

Great place for the price. Would like to see pools cleaned better. Rooms are very outdated, needs paint throughout and carpet should be replaced however the beds were phoenomenol for great nights sleep. Rooms are huge! Food was great, staff was ultra nice. I'm going back as soon as I can but not in June cause it was hot!!! You can't go wrong with 8 different pills to choose from.

Called 2 hours early about the room - Yes, we have your reservation - however, once we arrived, it was an hour wait for the room to be \"ready\". Front Desk was training some - the line went from 3 couples waiting to over 6 waiting. Toilet paper was replaced. Coffee preparation and utensils for 1 person...not 2 people. Water intermittently cold or scalding hot in the shower. 1 mineral pool was warm. Others not so much...this site has steadily declined...

It is definitely not a high end spa, our room needed some love ..new toilet seat, the backing on the drapes was missing, the upper lock/latch on our door had been busted but never replaced . If you are just looking for a quick get away to enjoy the pools and relax I would recommend Desert Hot Springs spa. The staff was very nice.

Pools are always taken care of. But why broken on a holiday weekend was different. This place is not what it used to be. Pool ppl used to be there at 6 am to clean pools, scrub pools and straight chairs. Music was playing. Waitress serving drinks by the pool. It was fantastic. Now not so much with every different owner less committed. I can’t stop going only hopeful that next time it will be better.

We enjoyed the variety of pools. The rooms were clean, The restaurant was convenient and was reasonably priced. But the whole property is in need of upgrading and repairs. The day use price is very reasonable. Recommend if you are looking for a basic soaking experience with no extra services or spa treatments.

Always have a lovely time here. The staff is great, particularly Ruben in the Sunshine cafe. Pools and overall mid-century modern vibe keep us returning. Truly an oasis in the desert. One suggestion. Fix or replace the ice machine. Endlessly bothering staff for ice is not in anyone’s best interest. Also love the bar and its wonderful mural. A great space.

This is a desert staple! The perfect little get away with such old charm. There is nothing bougie about it. Simplicity at its finest. The front of house at check in was amazing and so charming. Our bartender during karaoke was hilarious. He made our night. The pools were wonderful. Our patio to walk out to the pools was so convenient. We will be making this our regular little getaway stay.

The room was spacious and the view from the balcony over looking the pools are good. The place is dated and the hotel is trying to fix small things that would make one's stay better. The Hot pools are maintained and are cleaned every morning. The restaurant and bar on premises and food is good. Nearby stores and there is some homeless nearby. That have a security guard walking the premises.

There are two big trash pits right beside the rooms. They smell bad, and attract bugs, roaches and rats. There is NO reason why this should happen. Also, there are many trip hazards as shown in the picture. Room was fine, but I stayed in this same room 2 years ago and it had the same broken thermostat! It just shows that ownership doesnt care and that just trickles down to maintenance and lack of upkeep. If ownership doesnt care, employees wont either. This place is becoming a real slum which is sad.

Tom at the desk was very helpful and quite kind to me. Subsequent staff were polite and helpful. There was a security guard to observe my vehicle in the parking area.
The room was clean. I like to bring my own pillows.
Air conditioning worked well and did not blow on me. I really appreciated that.
I didn’t stay in long enough to eat in the Sunshine Café. It was a great respite after driving in Baja.

The room and amenities were 1957, And seemed to have never been updated or improved since it opened, No ice machine to be found. No elevator. expedia photos are absolutely outdated. i wish i took photos but I didnt waste any time on that and spent my time looking for options to move to a different hotel as soon as we could. do not book this murder scene if you want to enjoy your vacation. staff were nice tho. resto food was good. i will give them that. to the owners tho, pls renovate your hotel. charging $250 a night for last minute bookings is horrifying. please update your photos so no other victims will pile on your list!! absolutely horrible!!

This motel is truly a blast from the 50s SoCal past. It is worn out but clean so charming in a different way. The multiple hot spring pools are fantastic. The restaurant served up a delicious and plentiful breakfast. Motel, shop and restaurant are bargains so manage expectations and have a great time!

We paid, checked in at the front desk, on our way to the room we decided to eat the $250 and spend $400 additional to book somewhere else. The first impression of the hotel condition was so bad we paid double plus the cost of booking this place to stay somewhere else. This isn’t a hotel. It’s a motel.

I had a very disappointing experience staying at this hotel. The property is clearly outdated and poorly maintained. The carpets were dirty, the ceilings showed visible signs of water damage, and the overall condition of the room felt run-down.

One of the biggest issues was the lack of basic services. There was no housekeeping during our stay—we had to repeatedly go to the front desk just to get clean towels. The water pressure was inconsistent, and at times there was no hot water at all, which made it very inconvenient.

Additionally, the room didn’t even have a phone, which made it difficult to contact the front desk for assistance. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Desert hot springs is what it is. An old semi run down but decent place to stay. The saving grace are the different temperature pools. The bar can also be fun and the food is good at the restaurant.
Prices can vary greatly from day to day depending on weather and local events. The same room can be 88 dollars pne day or 280 the next.
Book on line and save big money.

My experience at the hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we faced multiple issues. First, there was a mistake with our reservation, and instead of helping properly, the situation was handled poorly. We were told to wait, even though several rooms were already available.

When we finally got access, the room was not in acceptable condition. The air conditioning was dirty and not working properly, and there was a very unpleasant smell that made the stay uncomfortable. In addition, the housekeeping service was very poor and unresponsive.

Overall, the service was unprofessional, the cleanliness was unacceptable, and the entire experience was frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on what we went through

Pretty angry about this. Was told it was ok to cancel the room by the lady at the front counter and that she would leave notes on the ticket if she wasnt there for a cancel/refund but when hotel.com contacted them, they refused the refund. I would have just stayed the extra night but was lied to and told they would approve the cancelation.

The building is definitely older and could use some updates, like a fresh paint job, but the room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I really liked that everything is conveniently on-site—they have a gift shop, a restaurant, and a lounge that serves alcohol so you can enjoy all six pools. After 8 PM, the lounge turns into a fun bar with music. Overall, you really can’t beat the price

I’ve gone here every summer. However, the parking lot is absolutely horrible. There were potholes and I tripped and fell in one and busted my knee open and had to get transported to the hospital via ambulance. They really need to fix this before someone gets injured worse than I did.

My room carpet was absolutely filthy. The room just needs to be gutted and remodeled. The whole place is worn out and dirty. A broken down limo sits at the entrance. A lady was washing out an article of clothing in one of the hot tubs. There was loud, obscene rap music being played by one of the patrons. My sandals were stolen when i was in a hot tub and my back was turned.

There is only one ice machine and it runs out of ice quick however if you go to the restaurant/bar the staff will fill ice bucket. Not all of the jacuzzi jets were working and lack instructions where to turn them on. Staff is great though-willing to help.
