I really liked the safe and convenient check-in process for entering the accommodation. There was a large grocery store nearby, so we were able to buy food and enjoy a BBQ during our stay. My kids also really loved the campground.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Airstream was fantastic--very comfortable and clean. Even though it was close to 100 degrees, the A/C in the trailer was fantastic! It was lovely to come in and relax in the cool. We also loved being close to Joshua Tree--it was quick to get to the park.
The folks working at Autocamp were great, too--very helpful. They had restaurant suggestions which were great. The small store also had a variety of foods/wines/snacks as well.

If you want to experience an Airstream trailer without buying or renting one, AutoCamp will fulfill that experience. If you are expecting hotel level services, forget it. You’ll have to walk a significant distance to your Airstream with a wagon to carry your belongings. No restaurant. Small convenience store. If your airstream is lacking anything, be prepared to hike back to the checking building to obtain it, they won’t bring it out to you.
These appear to be custom made or custom modified airstreams for AutoCamp. For example, the shower and bathroom was enormous.

We stayed in an Airstream suite for one night. The staff were kind and friendly.
The room itself was not bad, but the skillet was greasy and covered with ash, and the cutting board clearly had leftover food residue from previous use. Additionally, the blanket stored in the sofa bed seemed used—it was wrinkled and had a noticeable odor.
Unlike some reviews, we did not have issues with the air conditioning, though there was some noise.
The biggest concerns were the room cleanliness and the checkout policy. A 4 PM check-in and 10 AM checkout seem unreasonable, especially given that Airstream accommodations naturally require more time for proper cleaning and preparation. With such an early checkout, expecting guests to leave everything perfectly organized is unrealistic, which makes thorough housekeeping even more important.
Our one-night stay was manageable, but overall, we would not choose to stay here again.

We were greeted by a young lady (apologies we forgot your name!) she recently started as the general manager but she was incredibly polite to us and natural with our two children during check in. We were celebrating our daughter’s 6th birthday and the marshmallows over the fire made for a beautiful memory together. We had a superb stay at this amazing location and it made for a great addition to our trip. Thank you!

Interesting concept. Really enjoyed staying in a modified AirStream without having all the set up and break down. You have to be ready to haul your luggage in a cart to your camper, but it wasn't hard to do. Appreciated the security offered by the entry gate. Lots of items for sale in the main building. Desk staff very friendly and helpful.

Way too expensive for what it is. Room not very clean, staff not super friendly/helpful. One example: We were in the pool and noticed that there were no towels in the rack provided. No one had swam today and it was 2PM so would be surprising if they were out for the day, so likely never restocked. We asked them to get some and it took 45 min. The air was cold and my 4yo daughter didn't want to get out out and dry off in the air - I didn't either! When they brought them in they brought them in lazily, chatting the whole time and walking slowly. Nothing was going on at the hotel and it isn't like they washed them in that time, so it was likely just a matter of carrying them from A to B on the premises. The overall trip was like this - great in the pictures, nice enough, but for $400 a night (plus a $20 something a day amenity fee I didn't bargain on!) I'd never go here again.

Our airstream was clean overall and everyone on the property was very nice. I would stay again at an AutoCamp. I do feel as though things could have been a tad nicer (Upholstery was pretty dirty on our couch & cushions and our shower drain was clogged) however, you are clamping so keep that in mind. The staff is very nice.

By 4pm only one of the campers were available. It is my belief that those who book through a third party are treated differently. Not sure if I'd book through Expedia again

The $400/night price was too high for having a long walk to our unit with our luggage, traffic noise from the nearby highway, and an abysmal included “breakfast” of dry granola with no milk other than some small canisters of half &half etc intended for the coffee. Next time we’ll actually camp for the fraction of the price or stay in a nice hotel.

I loved the location and Joshua Tree. The place is cool but I was expecting more of a vibe. It is just an air stream and the most basic of bar. There was nothing going on there except extended families taking up all of the lobby furniture. They need a cool bar and some more stuff going on there. The place also needs a deep cleaning. It just is kind of dirty everywhere and nothing has like been pulled out and cleaned. This was our first Autocamp and it was cool enough and the Airsteam was comfortable but the overall property was not as cool as the room. They should heat the pool when it's cold out to make it fun and have a real bar with staff and more activities and kid size bikes and just more to do.

Highly recommended if visiting Joshua Tree NP.

Really enjoyed staying at the AutoCamp Joshua Tree. Stayed in a Premium Airstream which was very clean and air conditioned. The futon is quite small for two teenagers although we were aware of this in advance. Excellent coffee and granola available in the mornings and swimming pool good standard. Highly recommend visiting Joshua Tree NP and staying here. Sky High Pie also recommended for nearby pizza takeout.

We wanted to include glamping in our California road trip so thought an Airstream would be fun - naively not thinking about the scolding heat (110 degrees!) in Joshua Tree. The aircon in the Airstream worked really hard and kept us cool inside but we were not able to make use of the deck, or the little pool which looked really nice. The fit out of the Airstream was great and we appreciated the free coffee and granola each morning. I got up one morning at 5.30 to see the spectacular sunrise. We saw sunset in the national park and did several walks early morning - the map and tips from the tourist office were very helpful for this.

Long way to haul luggage from parking to Airstream

We stopped at this place as a part of a long road trip. We were caught by surprise that you had to park the car far from the Airstream. We had to haul everything 500-700 yards from the car to the airstreamer. In my mind the concept of an airstreamer is to have your car next to the airstream. Very inconvenient. Not impressed by the employees working there. The Airstream was great. Clean and practical. Very noisy AC.

Trailer inaccessibility by car. Car left in parking lot. Luggages and baggages had to be transported by little carts, to be pulled through the gravel and dirt, by us, elderly 78-year oldies.
Very old air conditioners, in Trailer 109, were very loud and they would kick-in with loud thuds constantly, all day and all night.
On the other hand, we loved the Airstream trailer. Thank you.

Autocamp JT was aesthetically pleasing, clean, comfortable, and safe. The amenities has all you need to for glamping like firewood, snacks, drinks, etc. they also serve happy hour cocktails and have food options for lunch and dinner. I recommend getting the full glamping experience and grab some food to grill at your site. Groceries stores are about 5 minute drive up the street. The airstream was comfortable for 3 adults. 4 people might be a bit too crowded. Bathroom and toilet was spacious though. All in all I’m sold on glamping in this style at Autocamp. Definitely looking forward to checking out their other locations!

Overall a very cool & pleasant experience. The park is very relaxing and would stay again, pool area was lovely. Only a few cons.. the airstream & outdoor space wasn't the cleanest, we had to get some cleaning supplies to make it feel comfortable. Also the tv did not work during our stay. Obviously you're not there to watch tv however it is nice to be an option late at night once inside. Breakfast in the morning wasn't stocked, took a while for staff to replenish. For the price you pay per night plus amenity fee you would expect all this to not be an issue.

Room was not ready at 4pm. Items left behind from prior guest and did not feel 100% clean (shower was not clean, fireplace had trash inside). Service was good but the lobby and housekeeping staff were completely overwhelmed and understaffed the entire time. The location was amazing and amenities are simple yet sufficient.

I would say that Autocamp is a nice place. However, check in was delayed for 30 minutes. We were a bit tired from a long drive and we went to the property as early as 2:00 pm, hoping to get checked in early. We were told to either wait for a call, in case our room becomes available before 4, or check in at exactly 4, since check in happens at 4. We ended up waiting until 4, but we were told that the room is not ready. The plates and other amenities found inside the room were not properly cleaned as well, so we had to clean them again. Internet and TV was very spotty.

Really fun staying in an Airstream. The hotel is an architectural delight, and the Airstreams are very nicely kitted out. Contrary to some comments, we found the shower had copious hot water and was fine. About 10 mins from Joshua Tree entrance, so location is great.

Main criticism: a $35/day amenity fee for nothing. Hotels really must stop doing this, or it should be made illegal. It's just a way of charging more than the advertised price.

A few things could be improved: coffee is not very good, and hot water tasted of coffee. Would be nice if they served tea and coffee all day (especially given the amenity fee :-). Breakfast is literally just some not very good granola and milk. Trailers are not cleaned, but you can request fresh towels (essential in the winter since they don't dry).

I have never spent so much money to stay in a trailer in my life. It is not the desert experience it is touted to be as the noise of the highway and lights from the dollar general put us basically right in town. We got the premium airstream and asked what the difference was compared to the regular airstream experience and were told, “Ammenities!’ They could not explain what these ammenities were, however. It became our word of the day. A cash grab resort fee of 35 bucks a day for such special inclusions like TV, wifi, pool, and bikes. Things that are pretty standard everywhere else. Breakfast was granola and milk and super weak coffee. They couldn’t even throw in some yoghurt or fruit. It was nickel and dime time on the edge of town. The wind whipped up the dust and our dollars into the ether. Never again.
