The upkeep of the unit was poor. The bath tube’s paint was badly peeling. The carpet was worn. The layout of the unit was small and dark. The beach was nonexistent. A tract with sand at the water edge( no beach). Bug found in bath tube and in the draw. Not what I expected from the pictures on line. Not a place I would book again.

I wish I had something positive to say other than the location. But, the rooms are run down, mold, missing paint, bathroom beyond unacceptable with mold on the floor and tub. No shampoo or hair dryer. The bed is NOT a queen size, is more of a Full size.
Old mold carpet, I mean I can go on and on, but there’s no point. The front staff is not very understanding and wanted to “upgrade” to a view room/ so I guess Expedia guess get the run down stuck in the 90’s room. The sofa looks like it’s infested with bed bugs, the stench that comes off it is so unacceptable. They can do better or really expedia should not have this location as a partner

My first room was extremely unclean. There was a musty odor, the room was not well ventilated with air. The floors were dirty. The room is rated 0 out of 10. The second room 223 was much cleaner although I did not feel comfortable sitting on the sofa.

The rooms were great. Views were great. Kitchens had blenders and toasters among stocked necessities. Great location. Publix and restaurants nearby. Great pool hours! Saw dolphins from balcony! I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room appeared old and poorly maintained. The biggest issue was the number of cockroaches roaming around the room, including near the kitchen area, which was not clean at all. The carpet was dirty and looked like it had not been properly cleaned for a long time.

The furniture was also outdated, especially the couch, which looked worn out and old. While the beach view from the room was decent, it was not enough to make up for the poor cleanliness and maintenance issues.

Overall, the room felt old, unclean, and infested with cockroaches. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness and pest control.

I stay here many times a year. I think this was my 3rd of 4th time this year. There was a minor hiccup at check in. I was assigned a room that was being fixed. Went back to the front desk and was reassigned immediately. However it was on the 4th floor and around a long hallway. I am terrified of heights. I took the stairs to avoid walking around the long walk way from elevator. It helped a bit with my anxiety but I really would have rather had the first room we were assigned. The room was nice as usual. Kids enjoyed the pool. I would suggest you bring floats because it’s pretty deep for little kids. (4 feet is the shallow end up to 7 feet) I have yet to try the bar/restaurant and I have been here nearly 20 times over the years. I saw nachos of someone else and they looked really good. Anyway. Nice views and the outdoor sitting area gives island vibes not Florida. Love it. The weather was nice!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this stay did not meet expectations. The property is very outdated and appears to be in need of significant maintenance and deep cleaning.

Our initial room had a strong mildew odor, and the bathroom was not clean. To the hotel’s credit, the manager was extremely kind, professional, and quickly accommodated our request to change rooms.

While the second room smelled better, we encountered an even bigger issue: small roaches throughout the room, particularly in the bathroom. We observed them coming out of the walls, and some of the bathroom towels did not appear clean.

The staff, especially the manager, were pleasant and helpful, which is why I did not give a lower rating. However, the condition of the property, cleanliness concerns, and pest issues made for a disappointing stay. The rooms need a thorough deep cleaning, and the property would benefit from updates and renovations.

I loved the view from the balcony and the living room. I loved the kitchen. Bedroom was beautiful but didn't enjoy it being directly by the hallway.

I enjoyed BigBamboo Bayside, their food is amazing. The staff is great. The atmosphere of the restaurant and pool deck was beautiful.

On the other side of property, i enjoyed lounging in the tropical tiki themed sand \"beach\" around the bonfire enjoying the view of the bay and surroundings as well as the beautiful sunsets.

Definitely a great spot to get away to even if you're a local!!

Door was ajar upon arrival after 10pm and I was a female traveling alone. I took the time to check every closet and under the beds in both rooms before finding the balcony door unlocked as well. Other than that, location was good, close to airport. Nice sunset view. Hard to get an Uber during morning rush hour (first day I was there about an hour before I got a driver after 3 driver cancellations). But a reasonably priced place. After all of that, I would recommend.

I stay here multiple times a year. This time there wasn’t any dish detergent and I felt bad leaving dirty dishes in the sink. I rinsed them all off but they would still need to be cleaned. The room sleeps 4 but there was only 2-3 sets of towels/washcloths. If a room sleeps 4 there should be enough to accommodate everyone. Other than that amazing stay as always.

The photos show the great views the room has. However the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and tvs are dated. This property \"thrives\" solely due to its location and NOT due to the quality of the rooms. This was my first and LAST time staying at this property. There was not even sufficient soap provided for bathing, the shower floor is peeling, the TVs are old and only show cable ( no ability to stream nor connect your device to it) , my girlfriend was so uncomfortable in the bedroom she slept on top of the blanket. The views and balcony are what makes this place, but without the view.. this place would be vacant or a low budget inn. I do NOT recommend staying there.

I really wanted to be blown away by this place—it has great reviews and the pictures were gorgeous. But we had issues from the moment we checked in.
When we got to the suite we were unpacking. My mom, who is elderly and has had a stroke, was opening a drawer in the dresser and the whole thing fell over on her. Snapped off a fingernail and landed on her toes. She’s on blood thinners and the bruising is severe. Front desk wouldn’t answer the phone and when i walked there i was told there was no manager and to wait until tomorrow. Then in the morning told that again until i reiterated what happened. He came w the engineer and they looked at the dresser and apologized but no effort to make things right.
My daughter’s water glass had dried food in it. The furniture was covered in dust. The hair dryer full of long white hairs.
Just not a great experience, especially for the money.

The room was clean and the staff were nice and friendly. We stayed two nights. The pool area was clean and the bathrooms were also clean. Our daughter ate breakfast from the pool restaurant/bar. The lady tending the bar/restaurant wasn't the friendliest in the morning but the lady in the evening hours was friendly. Overall experience was great and I would go back again. It was also convenient for our stay in Tampa.

I had high hopes for this place because the location is nice, the view is beautiful, and it’s very budget-friendly. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing mainly because of the service.

We arrived a little past 4 PM, which is the official check-in time, but were told that our room was still not ready. We had just come from a long trip, and my friend even flew in from Canada, so we were already exhausted. The staff asked us to wait about 35 minutes, which we understood—but it ended up taking more than an hour, and our room was still not ready.

What made it worse was that many other guests were in the same situation. Instead of handling things professionally, the front desk staff seemed irritated and even rude toward upset guests. There was no sense of urgency or compassion, which was very disappointing.

Considering it was a weekend with a concert event nearby, this situation should have been anticipated and better managed. Proper preparation could have avoided this kind of inconvenience for guests.

To be fair, the security guards and some of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the front desk experience really left a bad impression. Even during checkout, the staff still came across as unfriendly. Also the place is old and elevator was sooooo slow.

Overall, I would not recommend staying here. There are many other budget-friendly options in the area with better service and more accommodating staff.

Stayed for a two night getaway. Pool was clean but small for the facility. You need a car or Uber to get anywhere. The decor in the unit was tacky. The kitchen was useful. The TV was difficult to use as only streaming services are available. All we could watch was the one channel and it was Winter Olympics. Parking was full at night and cars were using grassy areas.

We always enjoy our stay however this time we had a painter come to our room from the balcony while I was alone with our girls and ask if they could paint our balcony. That startled us a bit. Not sure if these things could be clarified with front desk to be alerted ahead of time? Other than that we always wish the firepit stayed on longer than 10pm especially if guests are quietly enjoying it.

For example, the bathtub had been painted and was peeling badly and there was damage to a bathroom door. The pool is small but adequate. The view over the water is nice and they have done a nice job with the limited space overlooking the water.

We were there two hours before check in. The first room they gave us on the second floor was uninhabitable. The rug had holes, the shower was stained, there was still food left out. I went to the desk and they gave us a new room on the top floor, it was okay. Still extremely run down.. will include pictures of the degraded chipped shower and furniture. There was VERY noisy construction going on the entire time we were there. We were still charged for early check in despite having our room being reassigned? Explain that.

The paper we signed when we booked and checked in said cleaning every 3 days. We were staying 6 days. The front desk woman said the new policy was you needed to stay 7 days. Kind of insane they refuse to clean your room with housekeeping. My son got sick one night and I asked for a new comforter. She said she didn't have one because housekeeping left for the day? Then I asked if we could at least have a broom to sweep. They didn't send housekeepers but sent a very used broom and told me to sweep the room myself

The only saving grace was Nikki at the restaurant.

Make sure you don't open your doors if you are there on trash day, the smell from our balcony was horrible and there were trails of trash everywhere.

Also don't expect a full gym. They have a few metal machines outside, not a gym... not sure why it is advertised as such.

Very disappointed with how much we spent and what we received in return as far as the condition of the room and facilities.

The hotel was wonderful. The poolside restaurant served delicious food all day. The pool was clean and offered a beautiful view of the bay. I would have liked to have beach access to the bay, but there was a nice beach a short drive away. The hotel was quiet at night, but not so strict that I worried about my young child making too much noise.

The property is a great location however the listing included a pier that you could not walk out on and water that you could not get into because of rocks. The pool is nice and the staff all did a great job making us feel welcome! The rooms were not serviced but the view was beautiful! Would recommend staying here with all of the knowledge as the value I felt was great.

This is not a resort! It has a pool, but there is no coffee shop or decent place to eat on the premises. The bathroom is really small. There’s a window in the bedroom that faces out into the hall where light leaks in at night. There are no safes! There is no placard to say “do not disturb” but Cleaning is only once every seven days allegedly. Overhead light flickers and burns out over the desk area. No towel service. Elevator is cranky and extremely slow. Sitting areas are in garage. No nice public area to meet for coffee or play cards.
