Staff is lovely, well equipped rooms with a kitchenette and a washing machine, like many Japanese hotels it’s tight quarters but has everything you need. About an 8 minute walk from Kyoto Station, 20 mins from Nishiki Market. A/C was great in the room.

We utilized this hotel as our base in the Kansai area. It is sooo convenient to Kyoto station. Plus, it's a super short walk to Higashi Honganji, which is also worth a visit.

The staff were friendly and the room (we had a Japanese style room for 5 people) worked great for us.

If you are visiting Kyoto area, this is definitely a place I'd recommend. There are also several nice coffee shops within walking distance-- we enjoyed the coffee culture in Kyoto. Of course, most importantly is the proximity to everything in the area.

It’s about 10 minutes away from Kyoto Station so it’s quite convenient to walk around in the city and there’s a lot of convenient shop nearby! The staff are friendly and speak quite fluent English so communication may not be a problem here. All the instruction on the laundry and toilet usage have English translation which are very useful for tourist ! Definitely worth every penny !

Nice. Quiet. Clean. Small kitchen in room. Staff helped when asked. Convenience store, brewery, coffee shops, garden, temple, and small shops all within two minutes walk. Kyoto station and k line subway about 6 minutes walk. Access to Kyoto Station makes every town accessible for one day trips. Might do bunk bed room to free up floor space if I did it again, but would definitely use Irori Kyoto Station again.

I recommend Irori!

This place was easy to find using Google maps. Small, clean and cute apartment/room. I had a washer in my room, which was extremely helpful. The staff was friendly.

Extra notes: Irori was relatively close to restaurants/shops by walking. I rented a bike nearby which was ideal and did a free walking tour to get acquainted with Kyoto. I recommend Irori when visiting Kyoto.

I love Irori. The location is few minutes away from Kyoto Station. Walkable if there is no cab available. The room is clean and is functional. I love the simple interiors and the charging dock near the beds. The traditional windows are cool too. You can leave your luggage and the reception is very accommodating. I would definitely stay again here next time.

Great room, newly renovated and hotel style. Lobby staff is really friendly and even got us an umbrella when it was raining. It saved our day of touring the city in rainy weather. Very close to train stations including main Kyoto station and Keihan line. Safe area and a few places to eat around the area, but we mostly went to Geon area by train for food. Room is a bit smaller than Americans would want. However was good enough for us as we were a couple and were mostly out during the day and used the room to go to sleep. Overall, would recommend!

This place is worth every dime. It's definitely cheaper than most for such a great quality accomodation. Everything is provided for you in your room. It's also a very spacious room for three persons with big luggages. Not to mention it is well insulated in the winter (even in the toilet and shower!). The place is also very near to Kyoto Station, just a few minutes walk away. The receptionist was quick and very helpful. Definitely coming back here next time.

Great location walking distance from Kyoto Station. Quiet. Extremely clean and comfortable. It appeared that everything was new. We stayed in the room with 4 bunks and it’s suited our family perfectly. It wasn’t huge but it had a great little kitchenette, a well serviced bathroom and best of all, a washing machine! Hotel is in a good location to buses, short walk to areas of interest and a short walk about 10 min from Kyoto station, the area is very quiet at night which we liked so we could sleep. The property was very nice, clean, and centrally located. It is not a hotel but rather a short term apartment rental, in as such there are little to no amenities. The checkin process was quite strange thanks to hotels.com having the wrong information and their site and to add insult to injury, the site’s rude and unresponsive customer support (or lack of support) made the whole check in process even more unbearable. I would recommend this hotel, just stay clear of booking it on hotels.com

Fantastic stay at Irori Apartments

Fantastic stay at serviced apartment near Kyoto Station. About 10 mins walk away. Very near Higashi Honganji Temple. Rooms are clean and big with fantastic view of Kyoto Tower. There’s plenty of amenities in the room as well- a microwave, an electric stove, a fridge, a deep soaking bathtub, a laundry machine, and they provided us with hangers and clothes peg to dry our clothes. The trash is removed on request, and towels and bedsheets are not changed everyday- but that is okay for both of us. Front desk staff are very polite and helpful as well. Highly recommended! Lots of good restaurants nearby as well! We are very likely to return to staying at Irori when we visit Kyoto again. :) thank you Irori!

15 minute walk to kyoto station. Very convenient to other tourist areas, around a 30 minute walk.
Great hotel, had a washer in the room which was very convenient. The toilet were separate from the shower area so that was great for a family of 3 staying in the room. Courteous staff, comfy bed, clean room. Kitchenette was also a bonus for making breakfast. We definitely recommend this hotel!

Room was quite small and compact but yet very functional. Its like a mini suit. If you are looking for a place to stay for more than one night might be a little tricky with the service that we are used to with other hotels, but yes for one or two night I would definitely recommend this hotel.
And oh yes they dont offer you Japanese ‘yukata’ that was but there is a nice lady in the reception who can speak English. Kawaii.

We ended up with the bunk bed room, which is 4 bunk beds built into the wall. It was a really fun space for 2 adults and 2 kids. At first we were a little confused because based on the website it looked like we had booked a room with a normal bed for parents and bunk beds for kids. But it ended up being just fine with us parents. It felt like summer camp again! Give it a try!

The living space was clean and the kitchen had the essentials. There was a washing machine as well but note that it's a washer only, not the washer/dryer combo unit you usually see now in apartment hotels like this. So you'll have to hang your clothes to dry, which took some time in the summer humidity.

The location is perfect for easy access to Kyoto station. It's basically across the street from Higashi temple, so there's always cabs available and there's a bus stop in front of the temple, It's also couple of blocks from the subway line. There's lots of food options in the area as well and there's a family mart around the corner. Fun space, good for families. Recommend.

4th time in Kyoto, this place is Great

My family and I all Loved this place. It is clean, comfortable, spacious, convenient and a great value. There were 4 of us and the 2x2 bunk beds were spacious and comfortable. There is even a small kitchen with a fridge, stove and teapot. Oh and the washing machine was perfect to wash clothes after sweating all day in the summer heat. Location is quiet and a good central base although a bit far from Gion or the main nightlife. You can walk to the hotel in about 10 min from Kyoto main station right down the main street toward Higashi Higonji with the Kyoto tower building on your left. It can be tricky to find so ask for the ShoSei-En ('Show-Say-En') Garden entrance and it is on the same street across from the main entrance. Take a hotel card when you go out so the cab drivers can find it.

The staff here is extremely helpful and are very hospitable. They always greet you with a smile as you enter the building, and ask if you need anything before you head to your room. Once I asked the man at the front desk for help with directions to the places we wanted to visit in Kyoto. He spent the time to show us the exact path we needed to take and explained which trains and bus stops were the best to use. After he had helped us, we went to dinner. Once we came back, the man at the desk greeted us again and handed us a large packet of papers. He had actually spent the time to research and print out all the maps and info we needed for our travels while we were away at dinner. If that doesn’t show hospitality, I don’t know what else would.

Besides the amazing hospitality, another great feature about this hotel are the rooms. They are very cozy and inviting, and the layout is also very organized. We stayed in a bunk bed style room, equipped with four beds. Even with the four beds, the room was still pretty spacious, which is a great plus in Japanese hotels, because many of them have small living spaces, unless you have a large budget. The room was also well equipped with all the materials we needed to feel at home: soaps, shampoos, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, and even pots, plates, and utensils for the stove.

The hotel was easy to find, only a short distance walking distance from the main station, and front desk was manned much of the time, available for help and support. The room was very spacious and clean and the futons very comfortable. The kitchenette, had all we needed and the bathroom, toilet air conditioning and laundry facilities all worked perfectly.
Only thing to bear in mind is that clothes washing machine does not have tumble-drying feature. We found a 24 hour launderette less than 10 mins walk away where we used tumble dryers.
Don't miss the temple at the end of the road.
Excellent location for main station- facilitating trips to Nara, Himejii and other areas of Kyoto via bus.

About a 15min walk from Kyoto station, this place was by far the by far the best place that we booked for our 2 week trip to Japan. The tricky part is the check in time. We didn’t realize that there’s a specific check in window. However the front desk saw us waiting outside and allowed us to check our stuff in early while we walked about the city. The room was really like a small apartment. Complete with mini kitchen and washing machine. Took us a couple minutes to figure out how to use the machine and the front desk was kinda enough to provide a packet of laundry detergent- for those whose don’t speak Japanese, the word for detergent is “senzai”. The room was awesome, the beds were super comfy... we loved this place.

Værelset var fuldt udstyret med et lille køkken, badeværelse, vaskemaskine, en lille hyggekrog med stole og bord. Køjesenge var rummeligt og så godt ud med valgte tapet. Men madrasserne var for tynde at sove i, hvis du er vant til en blød springmadras. Super god pris,gåafstand til Kyoto togstationen og lå i et område med andre traditionelle japanske ryokan hoteller.

立地は良いのに安くて少し不安でしたが文句なし！
エントランス、部屋共に暗証番号で入出する電子ロックはホテルでは初体験でしたが、意外に便利でした。
部屋は清潔で、風呂とトイレがセパレートなのも良い。
キッチンと洗濯機(洗剤も)があるので長期滞在にもお勧めです。

バス停も駅もコンビニも近いので立地もよく、備品も充実していて清潔感もあり、スタッフの方の対応もとても丁寧でした

離京都車站走路到（很近）
飯店對面是東本願寺
附近有成涉園
點超漂亮
走路也可以到錦市場
非常推薦
下次再來京都
我會再來住一次
