Very convenient location to Heavenly Gondola and Village. Clean, comfortable rooms with all the basics that you need. There is no front desk but support is easily available offsite via text. We appreciated that the property was gated which helped it feel more secure. We will definitely stay again at the Gondola Lodge for a convenient place to stay for skiing or easy access to the beach in the summertime. Highly recommend!

I read rooms are quiet: not true. Every foot step from the upstairs echos and so loud

I read great staff: There is no front office. No human to talk to to check in

This lodge just looks good on pictures.

For two nights stay for two of us, they gave us only one disposable shampoo
Also, there were very strong cleaning chemical smell.

This place is comparable to motel 6 in terms of built quality But the price I paid was comparable to Grand Marriot.

In the future for my taste I’d try one of the larger spaces (I’m a lady with too much stuff) this space is perfect for a short stay or just to crash/ski it’s perfect Location, location, location it’s a block from all the action of South Lake Tahoe. This is a motel. No staff. Minuscule kitchen. No easy access to trash bins. One Sample size shampoo/soap.
Zero privacy. Paper thin walls. No curtains, only poor/cheap blinds. Poor mattresses (no support). No smart TV (i.e. apps or cast).

Room was very clean, shower water was hot, room temperature good and settable. Very close to gondola and restaurants/downtown.

Quaint lodge nearby to Heavenly Village and beach!

We stayed at the Gondola Lodge for our first stay in Lake Tahoe in late August and couldn’t have had a better experience. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom appeared recently updated. There was a pull-out couch, but if using both beds the room would be very tight. We also used the outdoor amenities and enjoyed! Quick walk down to the beach, and even quicker walk to Heavenly Village shops and restaurants. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The kitchen was perfect for my husband and I. We had a fireplace that kept us warm. The only thing I would say I wasn’t crazy about was how cold the bathroom was but it wasn’t horrible. Our neighbors upstairs were loud but they were better on night 2. Otherwise we had a great stay.

Ms Jennifer and Aria made sure our rooms and overall stay went as smooth as possible as it was very last minute because our initial reservation (at Worlmark) canceled on us a few hrs before check in time .
We were so glad we stayed at Gondola Lodge instead. The location was absolutely fantastic and our connecting rooms worked great. Their kitchens were bit tight, but had everything we needed to prepare meals. Their strict quiet policy was greatly appreciated, it was very peaceful.
We'll definitely come back for our Summer trip and recommend this place.

Location was perfect, close to everything.
The hotel was interesting. Never saw staff at all. No check in person ( everything gate and door coded) If you didn't get parking inside the small parking lot enclosure, you parked outside the secured gate. The room itself, was not clean. The shower floor was dirty. I felt the need to wear flip flops in it. We changed the sheets after the second day as the ones that were on it smelled dirty. Window air conditioner was in the bathroom, so the bathroom was freezing and rest of place muggy. I probably won't come back to this place. The grounds were nice and pool looked nice.

Wonderful place to stay

This was our first time here. It was full the first couple of nights but quiet and able to park inside the gated area. The room was clean and everything worked. Nice little kitchenette that had all the basics, plenty of closet space to hang clothes, bed was comfortable, fireplace was nice, shower/tub combo with nice hot water with decent pressure and it had a back door off bathroom you could open to let air flow (opened to a patio we used to store our bikes).
The manager checks in with you and is reachable via text or phone call. I asked if there was laundry facilities and they responded quickly. They have two sets of washer/dryers, one upstairs, one downstairs. The manager on site was very kind and personable.
It is also walking distance to everything, shopping, restaurants, etc.
We had a great experience staying at the Gondola lodge and we’ll definitely be back again.

There are lots of things to like about this studio. It has nice, modern appliances. Outstanding location a block away from the gondola, shops, and restaurants. Close to a large grocery store. Lots of utensils and cleaning supplies in the kitchen.

The staff is extremely helpful and quick to respond to my needs. It’s a great policy to have a quiet time after 10:00. No disturbance from neighbors.

The problem is there’s too little space. The entryway is too small to remove ski boots and gear without getting the floors all dirty. (The broom and dustpan they provide is not enough.) There’s barely enough space to store one set of skis and boots. There is not enough space to store two.

There’s no dresser cabinet. Instead, there’s cubby holes hanging in a closet that are too small for one person’s 6 days of clothes. (They do have washer dryer facilities and have provided detergent.) This leaves insufficient horizontal space for a helmet or wet gloves to dry. The dining table is too small, and it’s hard to navigate the chairs around the sofa bed and ottoman.

One suggestion would be to replace the sofa bed and two of the three end tables with a dresser and comfortable chair. This would add horizontal space and free up space in the closet for storage. It would make the table and chairs easier to use.

Of course, removing the sofa bed eliminates a sleeping option, but this studio is too small for two skiers or boarders, even if they share the same bed.

Stayed at the Gondola Lodge and it was wonderful. The unit we were in was very nice, warm & cozy with the fireplace. No wait for hot water! The minifridge helped keep our soft drinks cold. There were plenty of channels on tv to watch, which was awesome to see as we winded down for the evening and got ready in the morning. Loved the dimming lights and that the entire complex was a noise free zone. We got lots of rest and enjoyed everything nearby because of it's location; in the heart of everything. We felt very safe and overall the lodge was impressive. Thanks to Jennifer for the ease of communication and access. I definitely recommend this place, even to picky folk.

We stayed at the Gondola Lodge at Lake Tahoe during the 4th of July holiday and we are very happy with the service and the property. The property manager, John, was very nice. We have a large group with young children. After a long drive, everyone is exhausted. John gave us the permission to check in the property a few hours before the regular check-in time. He also honored us the beach passes. The group had a wonderful time at the beach. John checking with us on a daily basis to make sure we have we need during the stay. All in all, we are very happy with this lodging choice and will book with them again should we come back to the area in the future.

Fambam retreat!

My family had an amazing experience at the Gondola Lodge. We had 3 connecting room and what made it cool was that we had the corner area that had its own outdoor kind of patio space with a nice dining table where we can eat, mingle and play board games! Each room had its own kitchenette and of course own bathroom for everyone’s privacy. I booked 3 days in which my family all enjoyed! The place is also walking distance to everything which made it easier for not having to worry about parking! Beach was also walking distance too! My fambam had an amazing memorable stay in which they will never forget because it was our first time in Tahoe! Thank also to John who is as also very helpful…..

What a great place this is!! Two families (4 adults and three teen boys) stayed here recently for 6 days. The location is awesome and walking distance to Heavenly village and the gondola where there are tons of shops. John the onsite manager was great and so responsive to all of our needs. I’d call for something and he’d bring it up in within minutes. Truly great service! The unit we stayed in was actually three interconnected rooms with each having its own entry door. A very cool layout that allowed everyone the ability to have some quiet time if wanted. Would definitely recommend the Gondola Lodge to everyone considering a South Lake Tahoe vacation.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. The room code was simply the room number twice and there is no deadbolt; very unsafe! Our TV was not working the entire first day and when we called the \"front desk\" the first night the gentleman was obviously sleeping and essentially told us to figure it out ourselves - he wanted to get back to sleep. The room was also very disappointing… leftover soap in the bathtub, general filth in the shower, a cheap bed pushed in the corner, and furnished with TJ Maxx furniture. To top it all off, we were awakened the day we left to an actual fight outside of our door (it was extremely loud because the windows do not close all the way because the rooms only have a portable AC unit with an exhaust in the window - this also prevents the room from getting dark at night).

I strongly recommend you avoid this hotel. My girlfriend felt extremely unsafe here and it was extremely cheap and had zero service. Do not fall for the misleading advertising like I did.

I fell in love with my studio room as soon as I opened the door! All appliances bathroom was updated, and the room had a cozy vibe to it. The fireplace was a great addition, as well as how quiet the lodge was. Jennifer (the owner) and Jon (the manager) went above and beyond in regards to customer service. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates, and Jennifer ensured that I was able to come the actual weekend I had planned. the place is close to the city, restaurants and shops are walking distance. heavenly ski gandola is also walking distance. the rooms are small, descent size. convenient to have kitchen and quiet area at night. the view from the room was just the fence. I am disappointed, I feel in prison with fence view. in their picture have a lake view, but the lake is too far to see. for a place to sleep this place is excellent, for view and relaxation 1/5.

I really wanted to give five stars. The suite was a comfortable size and tastefully decorated. Very quiet, although the walls are a little thin. The location is great, on a side street off the 50, so you don’t get the traffic noise and the noise of the crowds. Walking distance to everything, so it’s very conveniently located. I had to knock off two stars for the quality of the bed. It was just a thin mattress on a cheap frame, like you might find at Wal-Mart or in a college dorm. No box spring. It was very uncomfortable and didn’t promote a good night’s sleep. For the money spent for two nights, the bed should have been more comfortable. This place has a lot going for it, and I would stay again if the beds were more comfortable.
