I would not rate this property as resort. Only public access to the beach is by crossing a very busy corner of the Highway! Our room was not a renovated room, the bathtub had peeling paint on both the inside and outside of tub. Not very pleasing. I would not stay at this Resort again.

This is a exceptional, surprising little gem. The owners/operators are very nice.
The suites are well appointed and the location of this resort is very good.
Beautiful vistas, and only a 10 minute drive to Nelson.

Meimi was amazing at check in and also in the restaurant. The Pho was delicious, did not expect to have such a great menu to choose from.

We were visiting relatives in Nelson. The rest of our party was at the camp ground, so the fact that the resort was close by was great as was the kitchen when it was our turn to cook. The staff my wife dealt with were super helpful and the cost was quite a bit less than other less convenient options in town.

I am so glad we chose Kokanee Glacier Resort! The room was perfect and well-stocked with kitchenette supplies. The room also seemed recently updated and very clean. Parking was easy and right next to our room. The restaurant had a great selection of fare and generous servings. The owner and staff all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The location is also perfect, surrounded by nature and all the fun outdoor activities available in the area without being in the bustle of town. It was so quiet and restful! This will be our go-to stay when in Nelson!

This is a nice older property. The room I had would be great for an extended stay as it had a full kitchen. Not a lot of amenities, but this staff was great and very attentive to details. Would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

I had stayed here 12-13 yrs ago so just had to go back…The owner was super nice and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was recently renovated and so was very nice.
15 min from downtown, close to free ferry to Crawford Bay and about 45 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs.Would definitely stay again, hopefully soon. Recommend highly if staying in/near Nelson.

We spent our 5 year anniversary trip at Kokanee Creek Resort and it was fantastic! From the service, cleanliness, quality, and food, everything was amazing. Right from the start we were met with friendly service and our room was beautiful and spotless. The restaurant is a hidden gem, beautiful atmosphere with some of the best food either of us have had in some time! Even if you are staying in Nelson, the 10 minute drive is worth it!

We loved staying at Kokanee Glacier resort - Meimei was so accommodating and kind, the suite we stayed in was spacious and clean, and we booked a pet friendly room which made it easy to bring our dog. The property was great to walk our dog around. We have family on both sides of the bridge (right in Nelson and in the Balfour area), therefore this resort was the perfect midway point between the two. We will definitely be back and will happily be recommending this resort to others!

Its a quiet clean area. They are clearly upgrading the property which didnt have an affect on our stay. We got a newly renovated room with a living/kitchen area. The staff were very accommodating and checked in with us to make sure all was good often. The little restaurant had amazing food too. It certainly doesnt feel like you are close to the highway either. We will definitely come back if we are in this area again.

Terrible scammers charged for 2 nights when we only stayed 1. Checked out and cleaned by 11am. On top of that thier cheap curtains let an abundance of light in at 6am!! The cupboards are old and falling apart but with a fresh coat of paint lol. Bathroom is from the 80s. Still worse tho is the fact we got the suite with the kitchenette to try and save on meal costs and the 1 pan and pot were scratched so badly i couldnt even cook in it. When i called to ask her to correct the charge the owner lady said \" too bad\" !!! Grrrrrr so frustrating hoping the cc company will not approve the extra charges!

The service was exceptional - the owners work really hard to run the business and really take care of the people staying with them. We travelled to finalize the purchase of a property, with our 3 small children, and the owner gave them delicious free beverages every night when they ordered our delicious desserts from the restaurant! The kitchenette with 2 bedrooms was absolutely perfect for our family - the grounds are so beautiful.

We loved staying here, the unit had a livingroom, top of the line appliances and could even BBQ outside. Loved the playground for the little ones, waterfront view and easy access to the main road. The bedroom was a big tight as the bed took most of the space and was hard to walk around it. Other than that we loved our stay. Easy contactless check in and check out

Good stay overall for my husband and I. Very friendly staff with a smooth check in/out. The resort is conveniently located about 30 mins from the hot springs and only 10 minutes outside of Nelson.

For our hot springs and thanksgiving inspired visit, we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which is best suited for 2 adults, the listing mentions it can sleep 4 but this would be impossible unless the others are kids as the pullout bed is actually a very firm, small sized futon. The space worked well for us though as we were able to cook our meals in the suite’s kitchenette. There is a beautiful, new restaurant onsite which the locals raved about but sadly we did not get to try it out.

Overall the suite was clean. had a comfy bed, nicely remodelled bathroom, futon couch, kitchen table and some limited kitchen items. In case you are wondering, in the kitchen you will find cutlery, 2 pots, a pan, cutting board, glasses, plates and bowls, a single serve coffee machine and a toaster.

We arrived at the end of Labour Day weekend. The posting on Expedia said the rate included breakfast. Apparently the breakfast stopped on Sunday. The owner advised that our rate would have been $30 higher if they were still including breakfast and that it was an Expedia setting that she couldn't vary with the season. Seems pretty steep for breakfast imho.

Regardless, the room was clean and well appointed. Only air conditioning was in the living room, so the bedroom was too warm, while the living room was frigid.

We had dinner after our 8pm arrival, and the food was freshly cooked, plentiful and fairly tasty.

The property is stunning. Well laid out, with lots of comfy seating areas, a firepit and other nooks and crannies to settle into over the long haul. I'm sure it's a lovely place during high season.

We have stayed at this facility many time but this time things have changed. Out bathtub was awful and the breakfast has changed. The new area is nice but i thought we were paying 149.00 because breakfast was included but it is only cereal, yogurt, muffins and toast. Very disappointed

Staff were courteous and helpful! The suite was clean to the corners. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be off the road away from the road noise. The blinds were new and worked well.
There was a dead bulb in the bathroom which made it a bit more dismal. A very old tub, but I understand that they are doing reno's now. I would have loved to have a comfy chair in the living room. Wooden stacking chairs and a rock hard futon did not make for a relaxing evening. There is room for two nice comfy chairs that would make such a difference! Also, there were no \"do not disturb\" signs to hang on the door, which made me nervous in the morning. Just a hint - put directions for the TV/Cable use beside the TV. It will save staff from having to go out and help people set up their TV's. Also, tell people at check in how to get to the beach across the road. As I read over and over again in the reviews, they really need to drop \"Resort\" from the name. It is a lovely old well-kept motel, and we enjoyed our stay, but it was in no way a \"resort.\"
