We’ve stayed at this BW multiple times and it is always very good…our room this stay was smaller than most we have stayed in and the AC unit was loud unfortunately. We mentioned it upon check out and the staff apologized said they would have maintenance look at it right away. Will continue to book with this Hotel as it is in a great location and has an amazing restaurant.

This hotel worked well for our Nelson stay. Free private parking lot just across the street made parking easy. Room was on the smaller side. The queen is more of a XL-full by state standards. We found the bedding to be comfortable and allowed us both to quickly fall asleep after being out all day. Didn't notice any noise from other guests. Lobby offers decent hot coffee. Fridge and microwave was nice for leftovers. Be sure to contact the hotel prior to your arrival if you have any mobility issues and have difficulty with stairs. There are elevators to each floor, but each floor comes to a part where there are stairs. Overall would stay again.

Parking was easy and secure. Hallway carpets very dirty. No mention of a hot tub?? Rooms nice but very small.

Got put on the main floor and at the back of the hotel facing the back of another building because we booked through Expedia. Hotel was not budy at all. Few guests actually staying here at this time.

Another customer checking in got bottled waters, when asked why we didnt, we were told because you booked through Expedia.

Could not get a dinner reservation in there restaurant even though we were staying there. Its a popular restaurant for the locals.

However we did get a early check in.

Came to Nelson for the night , looking for a hotel came in to the best western. Staff said they could do a room for Canadian. Still a lot of money for a solo traveler . Went for a walk in town looked at my hotels.com app . Found a room at best western for taxes in .Went back to reception and booked for a night . Thought it was a good deal . Until I checked on my banking and saw that $ was in USA currency.
Worked out to $ can . Feel completely ripped off as the site didn’t say USA FUNDS . Not impressed. Learn from mistakes. Will probably delete app as I feel I got .
Probably my fault.
Hotel wasn’t able to correct it as well .
Still $ lots for a shoe box for a room and a view of a brick wall .

This hotel is in a great area on Baker Street, close to dining and shops. We were expecting a better room for $250.00 per night. Our room was in the basement (first floor) which was very dark, with a very low ceiling, and a small window looking out onto an alley with vehicle and pedestrian traffic. We did ask if there was a different room available, but there was not. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. Also, the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good.

Said our room was not ready. Gave us a different room not at all what we requested. Power did not work on fridge, microwave, tv was plugged into a power bar with 6 other things . Electricity kept blowing out called front desk 4 time. Late that night offered to move us we were already i bed
Next morning at check out gave us 5000 points equivalents of 25 $ i would prefer my money back paid over 300$ for this hotel i would not recommend it.

Good stay

We stay here each time we come to Nelson and always find our stay very comfortable. This time was even better. We found the beds had been replaced with extremely comfortable new mattresses, new linens, pillows and the room looks like it has had a general update. Nice!
