Perfect quiet little cabin. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. Beautiful views. Pool was amazing and open all night, clear sky and can see many stars. Breakfast and dinner are available, although we didnt eat there. Only stayed 1 night to explore the island and kayak at night to see the bioluminescent...which I highly recommend during a new moon.

Great place. Beautiful views and very relaxing. Beach area to get your feet wet and the beach area available is beautiful but rocky and not safe for swimming. But you can sit down there and enjoy the ocean with a beach chair. Beach access is close by via Taxi!

What a gem this place was. I made a last minute decision to come to Vieques solo, and Victor at the front desk helped me make that decision over the phone. He gave ferry, car rental, excursion, and food recommendations. He and Valeria in the restaurant were amazing and so kind. On top of that, of course the resort itself is beautiful. The while horses, the infinity pool, the stars at night. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I enjoyed the view. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would 100% stay here again!

The property is in a beautiful, quiet location with views of the sea and town, plus welcoming staff. Our room was clean and maintained daily on schedule. The restaurant served great food for breakfast and dinner with an unmatched view. The pool is gorgeous and truly the best of any hotel on the island. The property was however. more run down than expected. It clearly needed painting and repairs. The main areas are open to the elements and when it rained the flooring was wet and not mopped up. I recommend the property if you have the right expectations as it is not luxury.

The best culinary experience we had was from a food stand on the side of the road by Fun Bros! The empanadas were phenomenal!! Playa Caracas was the most beautiful beach we visited!! D’frozz in Isabel 2 has incredible iced coffee and reasonably priced breakfast!!

This boutique hotel is simply stunning atop a cliff overlooking sugarcane bay to the left. The staff is wonderful and make you feel right at home upon arrival. We loved the horses on the grounds that come at sunset to graze and wander through. A must stay if your passing through Esperanza.

The resort very clean and you are greeted by horses when you arrive. We were only booked 1 night, but ended up staying for 2. I recommend booking a Oceanfront room. Most frustrating was management's indifference to their mistake. We were promised a room credit for the first night but despite asking daily during our stay and following up repeatedly by email for weeks since returning home, we've not received it.
It seemed they were understaffed for high season as the pool bar was rarely open, and staff seemed stretched thin. The food we were able to eat was very good, but if you have special dietary needs like vegan, vegetarian or gluten free, options were extremely limited.
The one bright spot: the housekeeping staff were wonderful and clearly took pride in their work.
Given the premium rates, we expected better communication and accountability from the Blue Horizon team.

Blue Horizon was everything I wanted it to be... and MUCH MORE !!!... The \"MUCH MORE\" part comes in the form of.. DAVE !!!... MANAGER/CONCIERGE/HOST... he is ALL of these things... and performs every position with APLOMB !!!... Man oh man... Dave checked me in and was a helpful host... IMMEDIATELY !!!!... The guy literally walked me to my room... brushing away palm fronds that dared to be in the way of our path !!!... On the way, he talked about the hotel, the amenities... He explained everything... and, very kindly, asked if there was ANYTHING i needed or wanted to know !!!... He made me feel WELCOMED... he is the personification of \"WELCOMING\"... and, when you are staying on a UNIQUE ISLAND... that is a FANTASTIC THING !!!... DAVE is the SUPERSTAR at BLUE HORIZON, there is NO DOUBT.... but, i must say, that EVERYONE on the STAFF was FRIENDLY, ACCOMMODATING and SUPER HOSPITABLE !!!... As for the HOTEL... WOW, just WOW... a TRUE... and VERY SPECIAL... GEM !!!!!!!!!!... I enjoyed EVERY MOMENT of my STAY !!!

Nice hotel, great view, quiet and great food. Wild horses everywhere. Far from town you will need a rental car, no uber/lyft, only taxi's and not the easiest to get in prime holiday and late night times. Nice restaurant, view and food.

This property should be spectacular but has seen better days. The scenery and pool area are gorgeous but the furniture in both the rooms and the common areas are dingy. The roof leaks in several places. The bar is either not open or poorly staffed. The nightly rate is outrageous given these conditions. I hope they make improvements because it could be a very special place if it were in better condition.

This place was just amazing! Beyond words! First time on the island...We booked it last minute without much review or even looking at pics due to time and had no idea what a spectacular resort it was. The property is stunning, wild horses coming right up to it. Beach access and the best view and pool. What a hidden gem! The food was out of this world. Every single meal was something I had never had before and just blew us away. I'd go for just the food but this place you cannot put into words how beautiful it is. There are just a few resorts on the island, this is definitly number 1 from what eveyone says.

However we felt slightly misled about beach, which was not easy to access (have to climb down a steep rocky path) from the property, and it was not set up for sitting and not suitable for swimming. Had a couple of issues with electricity in our room and there were only a couple of working plug sockets in inconvenient places. They were also stingy with towels.

This adults-only property is quiet, private, beautifully kept and well staffed. Lovely rooms with all the amenities and even the ac in the rooms works well. Every single person I have enocuntered on the staff has gone above in some way from my check-in, dining, housekeeping, and checkout. I can hear the ocean from inside my room and any of the common places on the property. I can't wait to return. Thank you!

my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your hotel.
During my stay, I observed that one of your female staff members was peering into our room from outside. This invasive behavior was not only unsettling but also made us feel uncomfortable in what should have been a private space.
Furthermore, I found her attitude towards my service dog to be rude and disrespectful. It is crucial for hotel staff to understand that service animals are an essential support for many guests, and they deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Truly, this resort is a romantic gem, in a spectacular location! We stayed 3 nights, including 3 breakfasts (guava pancakes are yum), and 2 dinners (try the mofongo!).
The ocean-front views were always wonderful: beautiful and relaxing. The pool was delightful, and we were pleased to learn horses no longer roam the property or drink from the pool.
The dirt road in is quite pot-holy, and the stairway to the beach is closed due to erosion.
Our only excursion was a great nighttime boat tour on the bioluminescent bay. Esperanza for us was more enjoyable in the daytime than late at night.
Blue Horizon feels remote, but the destination is well worth the ferry and drive to get there.

After finally sitting down, we waited another 15 minutes before she even came to take our order. When we asked the waitress how long the food would take, she responded rudely and condescendingly: *\"How would I know? I'm not the chef.\"*

Tropical oasis on a wonderful beach
It is an amazing place offering a cool chic tropical atmosphere, particularly enjoyable in low season. Swimming in the pool next to the wild horses is quite an experience, the beach next to the property is deserted and very beautiful. Service is thoughtful and dedicated. Restaurant ok but overpriced, the property is barely walking distance from town, no transportation offered. Also some revamping necessary.

Our experience on Blue Horizon was above the expected. The staff's attention was incredible. The food was great. One of my friends didn't feel well and, from front desk to the chef, all made everything they could to make her feel better. The chef made a special soup just for her.
