The staff was fantastic, super attentive and very helpful.

The place is older and showing its age in spots, but it’s clean and well maintained. Just don’t expect something new and shiny.

I do not recommend the jacuzzi sweet. The room was awesome, but the pool was a little sketchy. It is more of a small pool with two small jets at one end and there is no filtration system. It was not clean and I didn’t want to get in. When I called the front desk they came down right away and tried to clean it, but I still couldn’t use it.

Regarding dining options, if you want something fancy, it’s the hotel or bust. But if you’re looking for good tasting food and not the fancy experience, then there are several options within walking distance

Enjoyable stay. Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice big room, big balcony. Good breakfast buffet. Had a good dinner there twice. Good “Happy hour” deals for drinks. Lovely pool. Direct access to the beach. Generally, there is no beach when the tide is in. Same experience at 2 other hotels we stayed in in Hua Hin. I would book there again.

Fabulous stay at The Rock

We had an amazing stay at The Rock. The staff was amazing, so friendly and kind all the time. The hotel was quite small and therefore intimate and familiar. We got to know many other guests aswell. I could easily recommend The Rock for my friends and others. Good location, not too far from city centre and quiet. Situated directly at the beach. Loved the room with our own pool. Loved this place! Thanks for your good hospitality :)

We have great rooms, well presented and well maintained. Well selected & presented breakfast.
Please consider couple of points:
1. Staff at front desk are very friendly, however they have very limited English skills. This will improve communications
2. Consider to provide greater tours and excursions options
3. We experienced a bad small of weed from my neighbour room downstairs'. Our room was exposed to bad small at least 2 times per day and at night as well. Reported once but no satisfactory resolution- this effected badly to our rest / sleep

We enjoyed 4 nights at this boutique hotel. Initially there were a couple of maintenance issues (leaks) in our room but they were fixed very quickly. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. We booked a room with our own outdoor pool but found we didn’t use it. It was completely under shade and there were lots of mosquitoes due to the vegetation. The main pool was gorgeous! Outstanding views and super comfortable cushions on the loungers. The manager, Dada, was very personable and ensured we were comfortable during our stay. We were treated to a half-day trip to see a cave of temples and then a mangrove forest. Super interesting and we met some lovely people. The breakfast was great. Everything you would want for a Western breakfast including made to order eggs, and iced coffee drinks. I stuck to my favourite of a cappuccino / Americano mixture. Plan to bring a good book as you will get in lots of relaxation. Also bring your insect repellent with DEET as the mosquitoes were definitely around more than I thought they’d be. We would absolutely come back the The Rock again. We miss it already. Thank you Dada for a lovely stay and the personal attention.

Great service. Loved the location as it was walkable to several restaurants and the 2 night markets that are on the weekend's. A 7 Eleven is close by. The view from the pool area is amazing as you. Loved the person pool some rooms have in their backyard!

The location is on the beach so property has a good location and close to other restaurants and shopping. The room was clean but a little out of date. The pool was nice. We had to wait until after 3pm to check in and waited in the lounge area. The breakfast was horrible, everything was cold, dry or old, i.e. the salad was over a day old. The eggs were not made to order, and the rice was hard and cold. I f you get there after 9 am they do not provide fresh food.

Only worth your money if its 50USD/night

Bathtub is broken, staff cannot fix and did not provide a room change.

Limited parking spaces, have to park in another parking space across the hotel with no security staff or cctv to ensure your car is safe.

Brekfast also not worth the price.

However, the staff is polite and nice

In summary, this hotel is not worth your money. It should be 50 USD/night.

Nice place, with some improvements to be made

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Good bed and pillows. However, room maintenance, as in most places in Thailand, isn’t worthy of a 4.5 star hotel (the sitting in the private pool was falling appart, shower was worn out, etc.).
As for the breakfast, most of it was cold (pancakes and French toasts looked good, but not on a stove).
It’s also too bad that there is no shading at the main pool, way too hot to stay there in the afternoon.

Quite hotel and close to the center of Huahin. Private beach and Big Pool. Good Dinner set and value to money. Also Good Breakfast but the Parking area is not comfortable for access and few area. Another thing should aware on this hotel is no elevator. If you have big luggage, please ask the staff helping you if your room is 2nd or 3rd fl. Overall is okay and good services.

The Hotel staff were superb as we were there whilst covid 19 was on .They kept the hotel open in the end just for us. The standard of service and concern from the staff for us was beyond my expectation. Serving us a la carte food and organising food at night when everwhere around was closing down. The room was dirty and had bad smelling, Jacuzzi in room J2 looked never used to be cleaned and water in it smelled very bad, very loud noise from air-conditioner, The door couldnt lock properly and alarm always rang . But all staff was very good and helpful(Superb service). Nice location.

The hotel is pretty old and lack of maintenance.I booked 3rooms for myself and my family. Bed linens in every room had bad smell. Amenities, welcome drink and breakfast were so so despite the claim of being 4.5 star hotel. Breakfast had very small variety and not up to standard of even 4stars.
Staffs also provided limited services as there were not enough staffs comparing to number of guests during peak hours especially for breakfast and check in hours.
The only 2 good things of this hotel to us are location and room size.

Built on three levels there is no lift making it difficult for people with disabilities or who have problems with stairs. The in-house restaurant serves good food including a decent breakfast but closes at 9:30, including room service, which can be problematic if you prefer to dine later in the evening or if you want a midnight snack. Additionally for a beach resort the actual beach itself was extremely disappointing and really not worth bothering with at all. The staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful but most of them speak very little English making communication quite difficult. The Rock is also situated a long way from town with very little amenities close by and although the resort does provide a shuttle into town three times a day it only goes one way and you have to find your own way back and that can get expensive after a while as it has to be by taxi. All in all it's about a 6 out of 10

The hotel itself, it does not feel like it has been kept at all. There are gaps in the doors and we had ants, mosquitos and geckoes in our room. We actually went out and bought some bug spray to try and keep them all out. We tried to have a shower, however there was such poor shower pressure and hot water that I called down to the desk about it. They sent someone up rather quickly who took the shower head off and gave it a good clean, however it did not really fix the issue. It really needs a deep clean, you can tell things are wiped down but under that it is still dirty. We also had a few security issues and made sure we locked out suit cases every time we left the room. The staff were not friendly and ignored us on multiple occasions as they were too busy sitting on the floor behind the front desk using their phones. Over all i would not stay here again and would not recommend. I wish i spent my money elsewhere.

What i like about this hotel is that they are able to provide comfortable environment yet quiet place to stay. All the lobby staff were friendly and helpful to make my stay greater than expected. Only three floors with no elevator but that is not a problem. The swimming pool area were unfortunately under renovation so the view wasn't great but it was a beachside hotel so the beach is assessable just a few steps away from the poolside. I would definitely come back to this hotel again, everyone was so friendly and the place is clean and pretty. Great for those who are seeking insta-spot hotels

I like the fact that it’s close to the beach, when we first checked in they were nice. But once we got to the room we had ants and there was a lizard! We called the front desk an they cleaned up the ants but didn’t offer us another room or anything the lizard was still somewhere in the room. Then when we checked out they charged me “damaged” fee I did my walk though before I left there was nothing damaged I was shocked but at the same time I was upset and just wanted to leave I will not be coming back to this hotel! This hotel is very dirty!

The staff deliver a first rate servcie where nothing is too much trouble. Our room was huge and in great condition. The hotel was a little way our from the centre but there was a shuttle but and the green busses were very inexpensive. There seems to be a community of people who stay for several weeks year on year.

THERE IS NO BEACH, one has to walk at least 30 minutes to the nearest beach if you want to take a walk on a beach, access to the ocean from the hotel is dangerous the surf will pound you against the sea wall built to protect the hotel.
hotel is built on LOOONG rectangular piece of land where only the first 2 or 3 second floor units have a partial ocean view, the rest of the units are at the \" taill\" of the hotel.
Pool is blocked from the sun by a large building next door therefore the water is cold and pool area gets very little or no sun, there are lots of mosquitoes
We were upgraded to a suite they were fully booked during our stay, the suite was nice and spacious, nevertheless its showing its age,as MOST HOTELS were built 15-to 20 years ago, the pictures you see on their website are the ORIGINALS when hotel was built a fact for all hotels in this part of the world.
Local beer at the pool was 4 times more expensive than purchased at store.
Neighborhood was quiet and about 20-30 minutes bus ride to the center of town, nevertheless, there were two neighborhood \"markets/eateries\" within 10 minute walk from hotel and were quite pleasant and clean, but food was expensive.
The food at the hotel buffet was so-so, nothing special.
The staff was SUPERB,very attentive and always smiling and welcoming. I believe is the best item in the hotel, but I do not have to sleep with them nor walk with them, therefore I would give this hotel a 5 out of 10. for the overall value.

Nice boutique hotel, in quiet part of town

The Rock is quite a nice little boutique hotel, a little bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin city, but yet is manageable in terms of distance to nearby shops and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint are the mosquitoes in the room, perhaps due to a door behind the shower area that cannot be closed properly. Maybe the hotel staff can look into this. Other than this little hiccup, all other facilities are good

Really nice hotel directly on the beach. The pool area is very relaxing and the pool is perfect in size for a swim.
The staff was very friendly and did always help straight away when necessary.
The room was very spacious and the bed was very big and comfy too. The design of the room and the bathroom was
amazing. A really very big bathroom with a great bath tub.
We also loved the big mirrors which were in the room and the bathroom.
The balcony was also spacious and nice to relax with a bit of ocean view.
We were only disappointed about the TV channels because there were hardly Australien or European channels and only a few sports channels with really bad reception.
But the Wifi was very fast and worked everywhere in the hotel even at the pool area.

The hotel was damp and kind of dingy. Our room had mold in the shower, a cracks in the ceiling above the shower. The room was also not properly sealed so lots of mosquitos and other bugs got in. We informed management but they claimed there was nothing they could do. (Even though hardly anyone was staying in the hotel).The free breakfast in the morning was fine. I got a Thai massage that was good, but I also signed up for a body scrub that was done poorly. The spa tech seemed to have not been properly trained, because the body scrub was very rough and left me with red welts for 24 hours. I ended the service early in tears due to pain and asked for it to not be charged to our room. Management claimed it had already been charged and there was no way for them to refund me. Overall, I wish I had spent more money to stay somewhere else. I feel like our concerns and complaints were valid, but management either simply did not care, or they are being poorly micromanaged by someone who is not around.

We had a pleasant stay at The Rock. The private outdoor jacuzzi pool was amazing. We’ve enjoyed spending most of our time chilling in there. The beachside pool also has a very nice view. Only complaint is that they were playing some awful rock music really loudly in the pool area. Doesn’t really go along with the relaxing beach vibe. Overall it’s a nice hotel, not too busy and the area is quiet.

I chose the hotel based on the availability of a yoga class, which I took with Dada as the teacher, and enjoyed. I was also sick during my stay and the staff were very helpful to me. But as a single traveler, I did not enjoy the resort as much. I think it is more appropriate for people traveling together.

The Rock - What a wonderful experience!

The service was from the beginning to the end excellent! The room facilities were a bit outdated, yet luxurious. Overall it was very clean. The manager was also very helpful by giving local advice how to go around in the area. Massage was also very professional and did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend The Rock!

The hotel was friendly and helpful. However the Cave Spa was below satisfactory. For that pricing (costs 3 times more than the massage houses nearby the hotel), the welcome treatment was almost non existence and the masseuses were not very skilful. We left the spa feeling been ripped off. Additionally, the hotel should consider adding gym facilities. By the way, there is no “sea view” from the room (which was labeled as room with “sea view”. In fact, non of the rooms in the hotel has a view of the sea.

The hotel room is huge and nicely designed. There is a nice bathtub big enough for two people, and a nice balcony to catch some fresh air. The pool overlooks the beach jus in front of it, and the hotel is about 10 minutes away from Hua Hin night market.

This is my personal favorite pkace to stay when in Hua Hin. The room itself is super nice. With big space, big bathroom with both shower and bathtub. Large dublebed.. all channels on the tv. And last a small private patio with a 3 x 3m square bubblepool.
Almost no reason to leave the room.
Just loving this place. The highest recommendations. 😀

I Was super duper disappointed , frustrated with hotels.com as I done my booking for 4 adults. -Zen Jacuzzi Pool with Exclusive Lounge - Breakfast Incl – SGD159.14 per night. When I check in to the Rock, hotel manager / duty manager inform me, my booking is for only 2 adults. I have to book one more room or Top Up THB8400 for three nights stay.
I am understand The Rock management have your own hotels policy. I told you I I will called / Settled Hotels.com and lets my family-My mother almost 70 years old and her have leg pain issue (some more we are all the way travel from Bangkok to Huahin) to went to the room first & lets me settle it. He is refuse & the attitude is bad & unfriendly.
If I can get the refund, I wont stay at THE ROCK WITH SGD477.42 + THB8400 (for 3 nights)
Cleanness of resort are not 4 stars . We cant use the private pool & Jacuzzi at all . its so dirty. Full of leaf & dead insert.

Flight was delayed 6 hours! Contacted the hotel who could not have been more helpful. Arrived at 5 am and were quickly and quietly settled in by 5.05am! Helpful and friendly.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It is right on the beach, has a delicious restaurant, the pool bar has amazing cocktails, and the staff are helpful and friendly! I stayed in the room with its own pool, and it was definitely worth it! The spa is relaxing, and the hotel provides a shuttle into the city if you would like to do some shopping or roam around.

Nice staff. Cold breakfast. Entire facility needs serious updating. No 5 star. Dirty private pools.

Beautiful cozy hotel

A small cozy beautiful hotel. Where the beach is just behind the hotel. Staff is very friendly. You can just lazy around the pool to see the high n low tide. Which us very beautiful.

500bath extra for kid 4 years old

When I booked the hotel on hotel.com, a 4 years old kid is free if no extra bed required. My daughter is 4 years old so whenever my wife and I traveled with her, we always booked room for two adults. We never have problem before when checked in any hotel even the hotel noticed our daughter with us.
However to our surprised, we was asked to pay 500 bath extra at the counter of The Rock hotel for our daughter when we checked in. They insisted every hotel would changed the same as it is a common policy to charge extra for any kid 4 years old and above.
We did paid as we don't want to ruin our holiday but wonder have we been over charged.
