Traditional style hotel, lovely gardens and pool area. Housekeeping very good and plenty of choice at breakfast. Often felt short staffed and not enough sunbeds for all guests. Most sunbeds were reserved with towels very early in the morning. We had a lovely balcony but sadly whenever we opened the patio doors we smelled smoke from the guests staying in the next room along. This happened frequently and they spent a lot of time smoking on their balcony.

eveerything about this hotel is excellent but in particular was the kindness and caring of all the staff unfortunetly i was quite poorly for the week i was in hua hin the concern the staff showed me was above and beyond especially the hotel maids checking on me through the day thank you so much for making a bad situation so bearable i will never forget your kindness thank you so much i would not hesitate to stay here again and thoroughly recommend this hotel

Wura Bura has old world charm all over, from the warm welcome by the staff to the old world feel of the decor gives you a sense of nostalgia. I cannot emphasise how great the staff are at this hotel everyone was friendly and welcoming for the whole of our nine day stay.
Located right on Hua Hin beach you have access through the beautiful gardens that grow around the pool, you have the feeling of being miles from anywhere. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and would glady return for another stay.

This property exceeded every expectation. The hotel is truly beautiful, and the grounds are impeccably clean. It’s located right on the beach, so you can enjoy the ocean from morning until night. The staff keeps the grounds spotless at all times.

It's also within walking distance of the weekend night market, which is a huge plus.

Shoutout to Milk, Name, and Joe—these three made my stay wonderful. Joe is an especially hardworking man, unlike the other two lazy porters who work with him. They weren’t just lazy—they were also disrespectful. They didn’t greet guests and were always on their phones. I wish I had gotten their names, but I’m sure Wora Bura knows who I’m referring to.

The bed was harder than I would have liked, but everything else was perfect.

There’s a restaurant on site. Unfortunately, the food is just okay. The service is good, and the view is amazing, but the food itself is mediocre - which is a shame given the setting.

The breakfast spread, however, is fantastic. They change the main course daily, which is a lovely touch.

I highly recommend this hotel!

The property is pretty.
The location was spot on!
The food from the menu was tasty.

My first experience from a staff member on our 1st morning was no form of greeting but he shoved a phone in my face with his translator that said, not open till 11 the time was 10.54 and I was only looking at the menu outside. They had been a little laxidazicle on opening times. I didnt find the staff particularly engaging or accommodating. The more mature male staff at the pool restaurant SPOT ON, couldnt ask for more!! The younger need to watch and learn from the more experienced.

The rooms need an update. They are clean but they are tired, the wallpaper needs to go. Its peeling and dirty.

I dont think they are making the most out of the business. The swim up bar wasnt open. The grounds are so beautiful they could utilise them greater. For example open air yoga or beach yoga. Mid week night music and cultural activities/events. To keep as much business in-house. I understand that would be difficult during the weekends because of the markets but something could be arranged mid week for at least a coule of nights to keep the $$ in-house.

Breakfast food, lots of variety.
Restaurant was lovely.
Grounds are beautiful.
Would I stay here again, thats a big fat YES.

I loved it but I would organise myself a little better prior.

This property is an oasis in Hua Hin and it is beautiful with very nice staff. The breakfast was nice but a little repetitive. Location on the beach is great with nice views of the bay. When the tide comes in there is no beach but it returns in the evening. Food at the restaurant was good, large portions. No entertainment on site. Pool closed early. We got a bit bored after 3 days.

Hua Hin is a bit creepy with old men and young Thai women. The open air market to the left of the clock tower is nice. 2 big malls.

Enjoy the classic unique room interior architecture style. The room condition kept fairly cleans. The facility; landscape garden’s, pool and the beach front area need improvement. Hotel’s staff some are very well mannered. The dining’s room staff need improvement and to be train for friendly greetings services manners. The morning breakfast food is excellence. The beach’s front food court are quite dissatisfied! I hope the hotel general manager take my review advice.

Layout and grounds were lovely - the pool the beachside bar, the layout of the resort was good.
Within the bedrooms, our first had a very musty smell that was so strong we asked for another room. This was arranged without question. Our second was fine but very dated with tech that looked like it was from the ‘80s. Plug sockets weren’t positioned in a helpful way ie not near the bedside and some lights had to manually be switched on and off. Not a big problem though.
The breakfast was ok. There was good choice, nothing special. If you’re happy to have Thai style rice and chicken for breakfast, you’ll be very happy as there was a good selection of similar food. The beach bar cocktails were fantastic, every single time and between the 5 of us, we had a variety.
The pool was perfectly clean and really enjoyable to be in, swim in or just enjoy the view of the coast from. The greenery around the grounds added to the tropical atmosphere.

You should improve the breakfast and staff skills

The breakfast was a low standard. Juice nor real juice , egg was cheap small eg, bacon not crispy. STAF did not understand English, coffee machine working very slow. I understand it’s not easy to keep a high standard with just a few guest - but in order to attract more guests- maybe try to make the first meal of the day a nice experience.

It’s a beautiful hotel with big rooms and it could easy be a perfect hotel to stay.

The location was beautiful, the proximity to the beach was excellent. The grounds were well kept and clean. The service could have been a bit more helpful. For example, at checkin, I requested to be moved to a ground floor as I was traveling with my parents (in their late 60s/early 70s), but was informed no availability. We were early arrivals on Saturday and very few people seemed to have arrived as of yet. Also, the morning of checkout, I called the Front Desk to see if we could have some aspirin as a member of our party had a headache. We were told we should come to reception to retrieve the pain reliever. At most hotels, it is standard to have such items delivered to the room. It is a small thing, but a very welcome and appreciated service for guests.

Beautiful colonial architecture with lots of manicured green areas, big trees, fish in ponds and shaded passages. Except for a gorgeous Thai-style open-air lobby hotel could pass for a smaller version of Raffles in Singapore. The hotel has real historical value - it is the oldest preserved hotel in this area as illustrated by old pictures of Thai royalty and celebrities on display in the lobby. Rooms are furnished with beautiful dark hard wood floors and stylish, historic furniture. I think all rooms have big balconies. Service is impeccable and breakfast buffet is good. During morning high tide the beach in front of hotel disappears completely but towards the evening it becomes very wide again and is great for walking.

CONS
Except for nearby Cicada and Tamarind night markets open on certain nights (20 minutes by foot) hotel is slightly far from shopping malls and other attractions in downtown Hua Hin. Definitely nothing within walking distance. Hotel operates a free shuttle to major shopping areas but only at certain fixed times and you have to reserve space in advance. Otherwise a taxi will cost about US $5 one way.

Checked in late which was conveyed to the hotel in advance as well how special this trip was they prepared rhe bed saying happy birthday anniversary when i clearly mentioned it was a mother son trip. Then rhe room.had an odd smell upon getting in and they did not apologise and no solution offered just promised that tomorrow there will be a new room available. Then pui the manager was terrible at handling the situation just saying there is no option but to stay another night in the same smelly room. Pathetic service and not a care really given for guests who were celebrating something special and were inconvenienced. Surprising for me cinsiderring all the good reviews and the reputation this property seem to hold. Please reach out to them to rectify this situation as when we tried the manager was in meetings that lasted all day on multiple occasions and then peach another female at front was harassing us to check out talking to us like animals and had the nerve to say that she will charge an extra 1000 for late check out...

We had many issues in our stay, I have asked to see the manager, and every day I get a different excuse, either she left early, in a staff party, or sick. Decided to checkout early and go to another hotel, they didn't even bother to ask why, instead they asked us to pay for the room upgrade which is supposed to be complimentary. There is no service at the pool, nobody in the bars to serve you anything, no staff whatsoever after 11pm. If you call at night for an emergency, no one would answer your calls. No late night room service either. Rooms are outdated. This hotel desperately needs a new management and furniture.

We booked for one night, because we wanted to stay somewhere special for three nights and photos on the Internet about hotels can be very deceiving sometimes .

I’m happy to say, that this wasn’t the case in this hotel. It is simply amazing in every aspect. I have stayed in many places, but I can tell you, that you won’t be disappointed with this place.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing is a problem, and you are greeted with a big smile and happy people.

The room is spacious, clean and accommodating.

A wonderful hotel at a very reasonable price

This was my 5th trip to Thailand in 2 1/2 years and my first time traveling to Hua Hin. The hotel is in a nice quiet location and it has a fabulous pool and beach. There is a 7-11 about 3 minutes away and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the night market. If you have to take a taxi it will only run you about $3.00. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable and I would highly recommend staying here.

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary here at Wora Bura. The room was decorated beautifully with rose petals. Check in and check out was a breeze. The pool was amazing while having the sea view. Breakfast was okay but we would prefer if they served Halal food. Location was about 10mins walk to Cicada market and Tamarind market. Shuttle was available to town but the last shuttle is until 8pm, should have more frequency and extended until at least 10pm. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this romantic hotel.

This visit was our second to Wora Bura. Two years ago my wife got sick and did not really have a good time here so we decided to return. We are so glad we did. Wora Bura is simply beautiful. The grounds, the building architecture, its location, the spacious rooms, the friendly and efficient staff all combine to make a stay here so relaxing. The pool is a delight and the resort location is right on the beach too, so you can swim in the Gulf of Thailand, shower off then jump in the pool. We are definitely coming back to stay here again next year.

Desperately in need of an overall revamp

The good:-
The ground and garden, pool and reception all very well presented.

The bad and really bad:-
Room, spacious but badly rundown, shower very old and impossible to maintain proper temperature. One morning the water was dirty brown and full of silt. The place has cockroach and mosquito infestation, we had to spray the room everyday but still had plenty if mosquito bites.

Breakfast, lots of choices but all of low quality, the first morning the ham in the omelette was off, coffee was cold and insects crawling over the fruits.

Transport, the so called shuttle service is ridiculous, very restrictive and use local open trucks instead of proper hotel vans. A very reluctant service indeed.

A little gem not too far away from the centre

The hotel is a welcome change from the large American chain hotels which are dotted along the main road. A little set back from it all, but this is to its advantage. A local night market happens 4 nights a week and it is within walking distance of the hotel. A nice mix of street food and local arts and crafts (not the usual cheap mass produced stuff). A taxi rank is located close to the hotel entrance and there is always someone available (very reasonable prices). A 5 minute taxi ride takes you into the heart of Hua Hin where it is all happening. The beach at the hotel is a little disappointing if you are expecting to sunbath on it, the tides come in and out at different times and it makes it impossible to use the beach. However,when you can use it there are pleasant walks both ways. Our room was as expected, but a little dated. Just new lampshades would have given it a fresher feel.

Nice resort with good food, good for romantic stay

Hotel is rather inside, still a pretty long walk from the night market. But it is a walkable distance, lobby is beautiful with ample staff seen around the resort to assist guests. The pool and little beachfront area is nice, as it provided guests with beautiful views. We actually loved the beachside restaurant as it is nice to sit around at the outdoor area for dinner, and the food is great!

I stayed at Wora Bura for 7 nights early October. The hotel is Colonial in design and just adorned with beautiful landscaping that makes the place therapeutic for the mind. Staff is beyond helpful and rushed to arrange our room at 10am as we arrived 8:30am. Hotel is situated at the end of a culdesac so traffic noise is absent. The room was large and comfortable. Having a separate bathtub is a good thing on vacation. All lights and AC are controlled by a central control on your night stand. The breakfast buffet is just perfect to start the day. On the weekends there is a fantastic night market that is a 7 minute walk. It is a very well maintained market with an abundant variety of food. There are restaurants everywhere you go. I suggest renting a scooter in front of the pizza place it is cheap at 250 baht per day and beats the cabs each way for 150
Baht to the city center 10 minutes max. If you want to see the tourist spots etc. hi downtown by the clock tower and hire a private car for 1,500 and up depending on distances for the whole day. The drivers will come to the hotel and pick you up.just a tip for those arriving at Bangkok a taxi cab should not cost more than 2500 going to Hua Hin and 1,800 returning. The swimming pool at Wora Bura is beautiful well maintained and crystal clear. Poolside food and drinks no problem and the gym suffices. The beach is very wide at low tide and enjoyable to walk. There are horses readily available to ride on the beach. Enjoy..

Nice hotel but money-leecher

As with most hotels in Hua Hin, provision of transport services has been planned seemigly to rip tourists off. Requested for transport to Phraya Nakhon Cave and hotel quoted THB1800 for two-ways. Advise: Seek your own transport provider. There are plenty at the city centre charging only THB1100-1300 for two-way arrangements to the same tour places.

Senseless shuttle bus timings that do not make sense- ie 6pm & 8pm from resort to town, but no 7pm service. Likewise, there are no shuttle bus services coming back from town into the resort before 4.20pm although shuttle services from the resort out starts from 10am. The management should seriously consider a more practical shuttle bus schedule.

Nonetheless, you pay for what you get. Still a gorgeous hotel with a gorgeous pool, wide spacious room, a mini private beach and good breakfast spread. There are many mosquitoes within the resort premise though, and mosquito coil / regular fogging must be considered too by the management.

Great hotel to stay in Hua Hin

PROS: Location (close to Tamarind market which is open on weekends), pool area, next to the beach
CONS: Only complaint was the slowness of the restaurant service for lunch and dinner. It took them a lot of time (more than average) to provide serve our food. By the end of our stay, I had to pre-order the food 1 hour before, to have it on time or minimum wait at the table.

Very nice hotel but a bit overpriced.

We stayed only one night for short holiday getaway. I booked this hotel with a very high expectation. Here are pros and cons about this hotel.

Pros: Very classic buildings with Thai classic environment, like 100 years ago time machine. Staffs also speak softly and uses thai classic wording. Room is very spacious, I stay in a suite, and clean. However, due to very hot climate, AC cannot keep up with 37 degrees temperature. Pool is nicely built but a little to small. Hotel staffs have an exceptional service mind.

Cons: Entrance to hotel is now under construction and very hard to drive. There is no smooth walkway throughout the facility, please mindful with elderly. Food is expensive but taste needs improvement. Bar is not fully stocked, some items on the menu are not available. Fitness is not air-condition, I don't think most people would like to exercise in 37 degree weather. Water in bathtub is stained, reported to hotel staffs.

Overall, I think almost 500 US dollars for one night of suite is a little bit too pricey compared with other hotel in that area. I would pay 350 at most.

Very relaxing experience

This hotel is one of the most unique hotels in Hua Hin. With designs ensured by the palaces of the kings of Thailand, this hotel separates itself from the regular hotel designes of the world.
Very cozy with a garden that hosts some very rare and exotic plants that attracts very beautiful birds. Waking up in the morning never felt better with the lovely singing and tweeting of the birds.

I loved this hotel so much, definitely coming back on the next trip to Hua Hin.

Heaven on the beach

I have NEVER stayed in such a lovely hotel before. It is clean, well run, has helpful staff. You can choose to stay near the pool or just walk down four steps onto the beach. Food was well presented and reasonable cost, considering the quality of the hotel. Had Massage in the Spa perfect way to relax. I have only praise for this property. I didn't want to leave to look at the area outside because it is so comfortable. One of the main markets is situated just at the top of the narrow street well worth a stroll around.

Absolutely loved this hotel, the staff where amazing, the pool, breakfast, the bar everything was perfect. The music by the pool was great, you could sit somewhere else if you didn't want to listen to it but we loved it. Will defineatly be going back.

Our family of 7 adults found this a great location with excellent staff and amenities. Our only slight criticism was the standard of the wifi and the breakfast service, otherwise we loved the experience and excellent value for money thanks to Expedia's great price matching policy!

Wora Bura is south of the main Hua Hin strip. They have a free shuttle running several times per day that takes you as far as the Chat Chai night market with stops at either Blueport or Market Village along the way; about 15 min ride. There is no beach during high tide (day). At low tide (night), there is about 20 feet of beach. Breakfast is a very good spread. If you want to venture out, there are a myriad of taxi stands the minute you walk out of the resort; otherwise, to walk out to the main road takes about 10 mins.
We took Ms Na's taxi service from Bangkok to the resort and back. To get here took just 2.5 hrs starting off in Bangkok at 8am but the return journey starting at 12.30pm direct to DMK was a 4 hour ride due to traffic.

Great stayed, relaxing holidays with beach front hotel. Nice and quiet beach for total relaxation. Foods were great.
Location slightly inconvenience but private transportations were easily available, Wifi connection was weak and often disconected.
Overall great and will probably return.

The front desk was inconsistent with people who could understand and speak English. the grounds were beautiful- the room had a set of flip-flops that were stained from previous use and the house slippers were of a material that you could not be assured that they were clean
The room was immaculate and beautiful – the swimming pool was as hot as A jacuzzi not refreshing at all

The Hotel is described as Old World charm, as in real-estate when the word old world charm is used ,it means the property is land value only .

The website says the hotel was inspired by King Rama V architecture Circa 1907, they are correct .Nothing much has changed ,the hotel and service is still in the 19th century unprofessional and no idea of what the traveler of today expects .
It says the hotel is 5 star, I now wonder where the rating system comes from ,if it is out of 100 then 5 would be about correct .

The resort is old and extremely tired . The rooms are old , the hot water in the shower works intermittingly if you are lucky.
If you want a good night’s sleep ,you can decide between the bed and the floor both will give you the same comfort level .
The hotel is mosquito city as it has streams running through the hotel that is a breeding ground .

At the pool you may take a pool towel as long as you only take 1. Great!

There is very limited understanding of what the guest asks for or is required.
The level of English spoken in the resort and the degree of understanding is very basic .Not international hotel standard.

This hotel is not for the international tourist ,this would be the bottom end .
The website looks great but he hotel is very different.

Relaxing getaway with a taste of the local culture

This hotel is a very nice hotel. We only have one staff member to complain about. She wasn't aware that we knew the exchange rate on money and intentionally tried to short us. Then was very negative towards us. Everyone else at the hotel was more then accomadating. It's a very relaxing atmosphere along with tasty food, beautiful views, and a nice feel for the local culture. We recommend this hotel if you can get it for under $125 USD per night.

Nice Hotel, if you get a good price

The hotel is nice, but the food at the beach side was just so-so. Huge menu and can't understand how they could have someone make all the dishes and keep everything fresh. Was too expensive in my mind for the value of food. The staff was really nice, the morning breakfast was OK, not fantastic but doable. The pool was nice but both the pool and fitness center closes at 7PM. Too early I think. the stay was rather quite there, and is off the beaten path a bit.

Beautiful hotel and very enjoyable stay

The Wora Bura hotel and spa is built in traditional Thai design and is a beautiful hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and looked after us well. The check in was quick and we were provided with a welcome drink and wet towel. The room itself was very spacious and plush. There was a balcony overlooking the pool, the bathroom was also very spacious with a separate bath and shower and had pull across shutters so you could have the bathroom open to the rest of the room should you wish. Complimentary tea & coffee making facilities, bottled water and an evening turn down service were provided.

The grounds of the hotel were very well maintained and to a good standard. The pool is huge, has a swim up bar and faces directly onto the beach. There is also a restaurant by the pool as well as a bar right by the beach which is open in the evening. We had lunch at the restaurant a few times and we found the food here very good.
We used the hotel gym which is well equipped. Towels and bottled water are also provided.

The complimentary breakfast was very good with a large choice and there is also a live egg cooking station.
The hotel has a complimentary shuttle bus into town, although the downside with this is that it's not very frequent and the last bus into town is at 8pm. The one before that is at 4:30pm. We only got this once due to the times not being very convenient. All the other times we had to pay for a taxi.
