Ok I guess for a hostel in Hong Kong. Blankets I was given were questionably clean, so I bought another one.
Hardly had any hot water, even after turning it “on” 10 mins before a shower.

I think one of the desk attendants actually “lives” in the lobby, as he was always sleeping on the couch after hours. Pretty strange I thought.

Very bad hostel.

The beddings and linens are very unhygienic they dont change beddings but reuse the used one from the previous guests. When you enter the room the smell is so awful. The Filipina receptionist is so mean.

The Bad Experience in Hongkong

The pictures you've shown in your advertisement is very very very wrong. The rooms are very very small, dirty, no toiletries, no towels. The hotel charge a 15% cleaning charge but during our stay for 6 nights, beddings was not change at all. Very very bad. Please don't include this in your hotel choices. A lot og guest are complaining. No lobby, no reception area,

Satisfactory room stay

After booking and payment made than there’s information about service taxes which is 15% on TOP of the roomrates which have been paid, to pay cash upon arrival. Hotel.com should have this charges inclusive n transparent. This is the first time that I experience such with hotel.com.
Upon checking in the rooms are not like what in the pic, it’s smaller n not very clean. Single ladies travellers , I would recommend to stay in this area of Chungking mansion for safety reason.

Stayed in Hong Kong for the first time.

It's a surprised and didn't expect this hotel condition but no choice since I hv paid for the room for 5 nights, toilet room leaking, TV n phone not working but at least air conditioning is working. Noisy midnight
you can hear people laughing, knocking door and children crying and also people talking. Location is good for walking distance. The lift I have to wait for some time n the smell is not clean. Milda a Filipino lady who is helpful during our stay.

Nice little place to stay in Hong Kong at a budget

I got excellent customer service from Sunny he was very helpful and always answered my calls and very dependable and reliable. He was Very friendly and my go to guy for dirreccions. Room always clean. Room was very small but very cocy nothing flashy but a good place to get a good nite of sleep

The staff or maybe boss (Indian ladies) are definitely not fit to be in the hospitality business. The attitude from the indian ladies were real bad. They should learn about service from the Philippines staff.

Great accommodation at affordable price

This is without a doubt the best guest house at the Chungking mansion. We reserved the family room with the two double beds which is larger than the double / twin rooms. The owner is very accommodating and the room is really good value for money. We ended up extending our booking for the following 5 nights.

Inconsiderate Staff with the WORST Attitude

I arrived and checked in without incident. When I went to my dorm of 3 bunk beds, all fully occupied, I met two French female roommates. Both were having the flu and my assigned bunk was above one and next to the other. I did not want to stay in that room and catch the sickness. I had been flying for 22 hours and know that my immune system was down.

I have to travel for the next three weeks and cannot afford to be sick. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. The two young Middle Eastern, Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi men manning the front desk rudely told me that the hostel is full and there are no spare beds. They told me to just get a face mask and deal with it. I know for sure that there are empty rooms as they are unlocked. Of course I was told that there is no refund. I left the hostel to look for another accommodation. When I found another hostel, I return to get my bag and to inform them, at which time they told me that I can had another room. It was too late as I have paid for another facility.

There are many, many similar hostels in the Chungking Mansion. I have stayed at different ones many times and never had problems. Most of them are well-run inspite of the conditions outside.This is the first time I have tried Dhillon Hotel. I like to try different ones for variety sake. In dormitory situations, if a guest has a contagious sickness, he or she should not be put in with other guests.

The room was quite small for a family, but it was clean. We receive fresh towels everyday and there is a free coffee and tea. The staff were all accommodating and we think that what we paid for was worth it. The market downstairs might be scary at first, but once you get used to it, it's not that scary though.

Consider this a back packers hotel

Functional. Minimal. Everything works as advertised, but in miniature. Small rooms, small beds, small corridors, small toilet, small lift.

It is located in central Tsim Sha Tsui, convenient location for shopping, ferry, buses, MTR, exchange, banks.

Comfortable room with facilities and cleanliness

A room is tiny as other budget hostel. However, from my experience with budget hostel in hong kong, i can say that this is the best one! I booked a room for family with 2 double beds. The room was well prepared when we arrived. Hair dryer, toilettries, towels were properly placed neatly. There was also a small sized refrigerator which was useful for travellers like us to keep cold drinks and snacks. Restroom was clean and an electric shower worked perfectly for the winter season (we went there in Dec). It locates in the perfect location opposite to the underground train and the bus stop is just next to its building.

Appreciate Jesie's work for making up the room and replacement of used towel every day.

Thanks Sherie, a receptionist, who was so friendly and helpful for making our stays wonderful.

I would really highly reccomend anyone who is looking at this hotel and reading my comment. It is more than worth your money. Real place is much better than what you see in the hotel's picture. hope you enjoy a pleasant time there.

Just go there if it's the last solution

The building where is the guesthouse is disgusting. You have to wait 20 min to get the elevator... Rooms are not clean, really bad organization by the staff and no key room available. I got this room because it was the cheapest and not full during the Chinese holiday. I'll never go back there again. I recommend dragon hostel instead.

It was awful from the very beginning! Firstly could not find the place. Had to navigate through a filthy market and there was no visible sign of the hotel. Got to reception to check in and realised our room was on another level which had no lift access! We had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs and enter a narrow corridor to get to the room. There was a funny smell in the room which also felt dirty. Saw the hotel laundry all on the floor in the corridor. No one at reception to help us check out so we just left the keys in mail box and left our security deposit. We couldn't get out of there quick enough!!

Money worth trip with eastern and western cuisine

The location is super as it is within walking distance to all the shopping complex. In fact during the cooling weather, is auto create an opportunity to perform a light exercise. The train station is just a short distance from the hotel.
The front office staffs (Cris and the tall handsome and fair Indian gentleman) are very helpful to ensure the stay is comfortable and relax. Beside the housekeeping staff, Love does a good job of keeping the room clean and neat. I must comment if the bed width is extended by another 1/2 foot will be super.
The location make it easy to travel from one end to another via super public transport. Food is plenty and of all verities and comparatively, it is quite reasonable. Lot of restaurants provide good and delicious eastern food where rice is served like a small mountain.
A few street down is the fruit wholesale market selling all types of seasonal fruits from north to south and across. This can provide an easy and cheap way of fruit diet if ones is too full with the eastern/western food.
Finally if cost is not a concern will be good to provide a shelf to keep the luggage.
My family really enjoy this trip and your friendly staff make it very comfortable.

Room is too small, even has no standing space, no chairs, had to sit on beds. Hot water even not enough for one person, water is very slow, no pressure. the shower over toilet makes the combined toilet and shower cell wet all the time. Couldn't find the reception initially upon arrival.

A good stay

I booked a triple room for me and my two teenage daughters, if you have more than two people you need to book a family room. I had to upgrade to the family room it was more livable for the 10 days that we stayed in Hong Kong. The room was clean and the staff generally friendly, if I ever visit Hong Kong again I would book with this hotel. The location was great.

Worst Hotel in the world

The place is like red light district....the address in incorrect and not complete. This is not a family hotel. Very disappointed that Expedia have sure hotel in the website.

Worst is that your website show this hotel as Family hotel, how you recommend such hotel as Family hotel.

Do you know that we have to go back to airport to sleep as the hotel is like red light district, as I really feel it is not safe at all.

I had a child with me and end of the day I slept in the airport can you image it?

Expedia I really hope you can consider refunding me. I will not choose Expedia in further if you have such hotel.

只有地點位置在市區，其他乏善可陳，根本是日租型的賓館套房，上下電梯要排隊好久，便宜確實沒有可以陳述的了!!照片與現況不符，去了兩次香港下次絕不會住這種掛羊頭的地方!!

The staffs didn't give us tower. Also, we had to pay extra room service charge when we enter to counter.
We had to wait elevator every 10 minutes to go upstairs and downstairs. Last night, we saw cockroach. That was the worst part ever.

Hyvää oli sijainti, toimiva wifi ja kuuma vesi.
Huonoa sokkeloinen rakennus ja vain yksi hissi. Joskus hissiä joutui odottamaan 15 min. Rappusia voi käyttää, mut jos huone 16 krs?! Kylppäri tosi pieni ja vähän homettakin oli. Sopii jos vaan täytyä yöpyä 1-2 päivää.

위생상태 : 방에는 소독약 냄새가 가득 했으며 환기가 되지 않음. 침구류는 더러웠음. 대부분의 주인이 인도사람으로서 매우 불결했음. 중경(Chungking Manson)절대 피해야 할 숙박지역임. 관리자도 이 지역을 Hotel.com 판매지역에서 뺄것을 권유함.

not for ladies. Scary place

Two of us booked 1 night because Expedia offered the amazing cheap rate. But when we went there, we decided not to stay because of the room was terrible, the staff were impolite. Staff kept talking another language that we did not understand and that made us felt scary of them. They asked us to pay for the cleaning cost, not expensive but the room did not clean at all.
You can see people walking pass your room by looking at the floor. Same that people can see you by looking the floor from outside your room as well.
The elevator were crowded. We waste about 30 mins, just waiting for the lift.
Compare with price, this hotel might be worth. The price very low that why the standard also very low.

寝るだけ！

尖沙咀駅にもすごく近く、すごく便利な場所でした！真夜中のチェックインてしたが、すぐに対応してくれました！
部屋は仮眠する程度だったので、友人とダブルベッド1台の部屋にしましたが、ドア開けて1歩でベッドです。ここまで狭い部屋は初めてでしたが、値段的にはこんなものだと思います。キャリーはベッドの上でしか広げれません。シャワーとトイレは同じで、便器もトイレットペーパーもボトボトなりました。お湯も3分ぐらいしか出ず、シャンプー中に水になりました。女の子にはあまりオススメできませんが、立地と値段は良かったので、本当に寝れれば何でもいいならオススメです！
バスタオルはフロントで言うと貸してくれました！

THE WORST HOTEL I HAD EVER BEEN

If you go to HK it must be your last option. Mold in the washroom. 10 min elevator line to go up to your room. one more floor by foot with dirty stairs, smell like piss, they \"wash\" sheets and towels with just plain water, no soap, no anything, very tiny room 1.8 x 2.30mts sink, toilet, bed, shower in the same size, if you are taller than 1.8 you must sleep in fetus position and if you are with a couple you wont fit.

I have many more things to say but it just allow me 50 characteres

Albtraum!

Der Eingang/Empfang des Hotels gleich einer Markthalle oder eines Basars. Es gibt zwei Fahrstühle für die komplette Anzahl Gäste. Man muss also nach Ankunft im \"Hotel\" erst noch eine halbe Stunde Zeit einplanen und sich in die lange Schlange vor den Fahrstühlen reihen. Das Treppenhaus bis in den 10ten (oder höher) Stock bei Temperaturen um die 35 Grad zu nehmen, ist nicht zumutbar. Zumal das Treppenhaus voller getrockneter Blutspritzer und Dreck war. Nein danke. Niemals wieder!
