Got cheated and forfeit 200USD.The worst every.

We have paid in advance for 4 rooms 1 night in Christmaxs period,when we reach the place,the staff (Indian) tell us your booking has been cancelled and no have room for us,Obviously they already overbooked or want higher price from others because of peak season.All of us have small kids waited for over 2 hours in their place,Luckliy hotels.com assist us to deal with them before we can enter the room.The room totally different to what the picture shown,even there are bed bugs bite and huge cockroaches,my kid are so scary.They have use over 7-8 different names put on internet,very tricky and should not booked all of them again.Host and staff are all dishonest indeed.We have attach our pciture for evidence.

Horrible place to stay.

Unfortunately I stayed there for few days. Dirty bedsheets really small rooms so don't go for it just looking at the pictures shown. Me and my partner couldn't even move together in the room.one has to sit on bed then only the other person can move.Day before we were checking out no room service even provided.

Don't waste your money!!!

Best in a small package

It was in a great location of Kowloon, close to everything. Very clean, and my luggage fit all under the bed. I was expecting a small room already and that is what it is. Most people had problems finding the icon inn front desk, but I found it pretty fast. Follow the signs to Canada Inn, it’s on the 15 floor, and you only have to walk into Chungking Mansion about 50 feet to the first set of elevators on the left, one for odds and one for even number floors, and I had 2 waters every day left in the room. MTR is across the street in iSquare shopping mall and A21 bus stop to/from the airport is just down the street.

Bad Manager Hotel

Bad and rude manager behavior. One of the manager was very bad. He shouted on me and my family and also make my children scared and cried. He charged me for the extra money amount 1,600 HKD. He told me that he might lost at least 10,000 HKD for a room/day due to the new year occasion. I had to stay there because I couldn’t refund my money back after I paid via expedia more than 28,500 BTH for 4 days. That was the bad situation when we were in Icon inn.

It was like staying in my closet. Could not stand and have luggage on floor. They did bring a refrigerator to room for my medications, but it took most of floor space. Was quiet.

1.Hard to find hotel location because this hotel is inside the tower.
2.They use other hotel name in the tower that why you cannot it easy.
3.Hotel is on 15th floors and you can move to that floor with 1 tiny lift that fit for 7 people.
4.Bathroom too very tiny.

A good start at the mansions.

I have stayed at the mansions many times at different hostels/hotels. Not rating Chunking, but this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, secure, and some amenities. The price was right, the beds were comfortable, it was secure, clean, etc. I could not have asked for more from the mansions.
Check in at Canada Hotel.

Tiny room but had everything you need.

The hotel sent email noting transport options, bus numbers etc and prices from airport which was very helpful. Needed to mention we needed exact money for bus after queuing for a while though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The downside was the queuing to get in lift at night but not too bad.

A big mistake

Once inside Chungking Mansions there is not one sign to direct you to the Icon Inn.
An address (not in the heading) included A15. Someone suggested that meant the 15 floor, of block A.
When we got there there were still no signs to the Icon Inn, but there were for many others. The stench was overpowering.
We found a small reception, where among many others was one for Icon Inn. We were told our room was not available, and we would have to sleep in 2 separate rooms. Noise continued throughout the night, there was no hot water to the basins, and you had to use the the shower which was situated over the toilet. By the morning we had decided to leave.
We went down the corridor (which was also laundry drying area) to reception which was now staffed by a 'hoodie'. We asked him to call a taxi, and was told 'we don't do that'. We left.
If there had been a fire I doubt anyone would have lived. It is hard to understand how Expedia could recommend this place.

We book this hotel but got the wrong hotel name. It was for my family who are all women. When they get to the hotel, they have 2nd thoughts as it doesn 't look that great and not looking safe to stay in. We tried to cancel the booking but can't. The hotel refuses to refund. I would not stay at this hotel again due to how they are dealing with customers.

Good location and good price

Old building with old facilities. Not presentable. No hot water in the morning and elevator is very crappy. The building is full of Indian parasite looking for next tourist prey. I didn't feel safe at building lobby.

so so hotel on a great location

stayed there for 4 nights. Since it was pre-booked and my credit card was already charged for it, we cannot leave when we saw the place. there were so many guys on the entrance of Chunking mansion offering guestrooms to the people passing by. The entrance was crowded and noisy. On our way to Icon Inn, the elevator to the 15th floor is out of service, so we used the other one and alight on the 16th floor. Seeing the stairs make us want to back-out, it was dirty. our check-in was smooth, we were allowed to check-in early. the room was small but the toilet, heater and tiles seems new. On every morning of our 4 days stay, we were always awaken with a loud noise that lasts for about 30mins. It was very annoying.

on the positive side, the location is great. it is near the TST MTR station and going to the hotel from the airport was easy because just a few steps from the Chungking mansion is the bust stop of the A21 bus.

-Bed linen was dirty and stained. Requested for a change of bed linen but was told that it will be changed once in every 2 days. Checked on the 3rd day, still using the same dirty bed linen and used it throughout 6 days stay
-Body itch and rashes formed due to the dirty and stained bed linen
-Dirty towels provided and did not change throughout the stay
-1 toilet roll was provided throughout the stay
-2 small bottles of water was provided throughout the stay
-Sound proof was very bad as we are able to hear people talking clearly and walking footsteps outside of the room
-Scalded a few times due to the poor maintenance of the water heater. The temperature will auto switch to cold or extremely hot the next following minute
-Room size is too small for 2 adults. Unable to move around with 2 pax in the room. Unable to open 2 luggage bags at the same time, only able to open one at a time
-Toilet is too small. Unable to turn or move in the toilet
-No water from the tap at the sink. Have to use the shower head to brush teeth and wash face
-The sink in the bathroom is too small and low for an adult
-Lift is always overcrowded. Took a while to go up and down of the building
-Staircase area was very dirty with all the rubbishes lying around everywhere
-Stale, burnt or cigarette smell from outside the room

Overall, it is not a recommended place to stay if you want to enjoy your holiday. Should book a better place in future.

Solo female traveler - exceeded expectations

I am a solo female Caucasian traveler in her 20s and I got to say I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. \"Icon Inn\" really goes by \"Canada Hotel\" and they are located on 15th floor of block A of Chungking Mansion, which is actually a kind of a mall/marketplace. There are many different multinational vendors downstairs and it is very similar to many other touristy markets of Kowloon. The quenes to the elevators are about 5-10 minutes only during peak hours, and only when going upstairs - anywhere between 7-9pm. When going down I never had to wait too long. Upon my arrival I was offered a big bottle of water and a power adapter free of charge as I forgot to take one with me. My bathroom was actually a shower cabin - it had a sink, toilet and shower head all in one. There were times when the water was cold. Usually during peak hours of 7-9pm when everyone else was taking a shower. I had to wait about 30 minutes before turning water on again to see if it was hot again. My room also had a hair drier, small TV, window AC, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and a fresh change of towels each day. My mattress was a little hard but nevertheless I was sleeping comfortably each night. There are security cameras everywhere and you cannot access your hotel's hallway without a key card. This made me feel safe. Upon checkout I was able to leave my bag in their office and explore the city before my flight departed that evening. Overall, for the money you pay this is one of the best deals in HK!

A budget hotel

Me and my husband booked a twin room w/ 2 single beds even though we are staying with 2 kids thinking that sneak in is allowed. But they don't so we need get a bigger room, and that simply means additional payment for the kids in a full rate (peak season rate) and it's like more than the amount we paid for the twin room in in advance booking. And they won't refund us if we will cancel to look for a diff place to stay since it's on the terms and conditions when we book online. And we are on a fix budget. But Good thing The Indian guy @ the reception was so Considerate that he understood the situation and give us discount.. He gave us family room with 2 double beds, 2 windows with a very strong wifi signal, cool and quite, Plus Karen and grace was so nice and easy to talk with, because they're Filipinas and that's our nature \"being so nice and very acommodating\".There's also free unlimited drinking water, fridge, thermos with hot water and microwave oven so we can store and keep our foods. I just don't like the very small elevator, the crowd outside the building, and When you enter the building it's so scary and dirty and smelly and so crowded with people selling goods. Parang palengke, Isda nalang ang kulang. But my over all stay at ICON INN was good.

do not stay if more than one person.

Stay 1 night only as room too small for 2 people. Size not as stated there was no sea view. A sign on the wall said turn off switches as have problems this is not good if on floor 16. To get to room have to navigate through many touts trying to sell rooms. A single girl would feel very unsafe in this building

don't ever choose to stay there. you'll be disturbed even before entering the stupid Inn. it's not even a place to stay with your family or even frIends. we booked in at 10pm on Wednesday night and lookin atthe place we immediately left to get another hotel. really terrible place don't ever stay.

Not too shabby, typical HK stay

Pretty typical Hong Kong place, small and a little cramped to a degree but clean and easy to get to. They gave us the wrong key and our stuff was locked in our room with other their access to it which made me a little uncomfortable but the staff gave us a key right away and everything else was fine. It's actually called the Canada Hotel too, the name wasn't listed anywhere until you actually got to the 15th floor of the building.

Find another place if you can

Staying here scarred my experience in Hong Kong. The building is old, outdated, and dirty. There are only two elevators in each block so it takes forever and once you get to the main floor you have to get through Indian/African vendors trying to solicitate you into buying their stuff. My friend and I were constantly being approached by the men. We felt so uncomfortable and unsafe there. If you can get pass the vendors then the hotel itself wasn't too bad. The hotel staff were nice and the room was clean. But the room we got was extremely smaller than the one stated in our reservation. The reservation said we would have a King bed but we ended up getting a semidouble bed, and it was in another building under the name of Canada Inn. The blanket was very thin and had bleach marks all over. The bathroom is tiny. We moved to another hotel after the first night even though our reservation was for 4 nights. I would not reccomend this place for families or female travelers.

We had a great stay in Hong-Kong and Grace was a wonderful hostess and very friendly.
The rooms were clean, we had access to a microwave oven, refrigerator, water dispenser and iron.
The shower was fantastic.

Great location!

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, value for the price. We saw this deal and acted on it right away. Friendly staff, clean facilities, couldn't ask for better location with all the shops, harbour front pathway system is near by. My girlfriend had a very good time for a quick transit in Hong Kong.

Staff is kind.
This is a good location near MTR Tsim Sha Tsui and bus stop. It's reasonable price.
Room service cleans room, changes bedsheet everyday.
They have hairdryer.
Bathroom is very small and water heater is broken.

快適でした

3泊4日一人旅で宿泊させて頂きました。
チェックインと宿泊するエリアは違いますが、宿泊エリアのブザーをならすと案内に来てくれたので迷う事はありませんでした。
部屋は狭いですが、シャンプー歯ブラシタオルドライヤーはついているので細々としたものを持っていく必要はありませんでした。電圧変換タップもあったので助かりました。
また香港に行く時は利用させて頂きます！

ที่พักอยู่ชั้น 16 รอคิวขึ้นลิฟต์ยาวมาก ไม่อยากไปไหนเลยถ้าขึ้นถึงห้องพักแล้ว ชั้นนี้เหมือนรวมหลายๆเจ้าของมาไว้ด้วยกัน จองห้องพักสำหรับสองคน ของจริงนอนได้คนครึ่ง อีกคนนอนตะแคง ผ้าห่มผ้าปู หมอนค่อนข้างเก่า ห้องน้ำแคบแต่สะอาด น้ำร้อนดี มีน้ำเปล่าให้2ขวด ระแวกที่พักชั้นล่างเป็นร้านขายของ มีแขกยืนเต็มไปหมด คอยแจกนามบัตร น่ากลัวได้อีก รีบตื่นรีบเช็คเอาท์ออกไปหาที่ใหม่เลย สรุปแล้วไม่โอเคอย่างแรง
