We had a poor experience with another tourist, but the staff did everything possible to make things right for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and kind and empathetic; the hostel was clean and had great amenities, and was within walking distance to Old Town.

The staff were all very helpful! The area around the hostel has live music different vendors for food or souvenirs. Also it is a walkable distance to Old Town Phuket. (Not close to the clubs if you are looking to experience more nightlife but lots of bars around the area)

Great place to stay in BKK. Pool is nice and clean and refreshing. The breakfast included was a nice touch. Food at the hotel restaurant is actually quite tasty! Service is great! Pricing is good! Definitely recommend!

We loved this place, in a great location for the old town and Sunday night market. We stayed in a double room, had a free mini bar and nespresso style coffee machine with pods. There was free coffee and snacks / fruit available all day in the lounge area and the pool area was great. It’s a great price and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Easy to get to from Phuket airport - take the orange bus, 100bht each and just over an hour, it’s a two minute walk from the old town stop or bus terminal 1.

The location is perfect, easy walking distance to the heart of the town and great restaurants and shops.
Staff were friendly and I appreciate that there is free coffee available in the mornings and that there were some complimentary snacks on check in and a new bottle of water provided al well as fresh towels every day.
My only complaint would be that the top bunks in the dormitories are extremely high up and difficult to climb up and down the ladder, especially if carrying clothes or a bag.
There is also no elevator to the upper floors so I wouldn’t recommend anyone with mobility issues to stay here, or if you do to request a room on the bottom floor.

Great hostel

This is a really nice hostel in a good location. The rooms are very cool and laid out nicely. The pool area is great. Only problem was there is no lift and the seat in the room was dirty. Otherwise great!

Misleading picture - swimming pool dangerous

The hostel is well maintained and stuff very friendly and responsive, but I have to highlight a dangerous issue. What is in the picture as swimming pool is totally misleading. Not only that , they should put not fit for swimming; and that for two reasons: (1) it is half meter deep and (2) it is extremely dirty. I asked the staff if I could swim and they confirmed by yes. I got a dip in it hoping it is going toward deeper side but you could not even float. Then I got a generelized infection and had to take antibiotics.

Such a beautiful building! Every place in this hostel is so lovely. I stayed for 2 nights in the dorms, and one night in the private gallery room. The dorms are very cute and comfortable, and the high ceilings make it feel quite spacious. The gallery room is gorgeous, with an amazing view and a bathtub to relax in! The mattresses weren’t the softest, but better than some rock-hard beds I’ve slept on in SE Asia. The staff are so nice and friendly. Location is great: next to a little mall with a good food court, and an 8 minute walk to the lively part of Old Town. So glad I stayed here.

Book A Bed Poshtel was a great hostel, in a great location!

The staff were very friendly upon arrival, and anytime I needed anything! I was able to book a shuttle to the pier and ferry ticket all in one from the front desk at a great rate, making it super easy and painless for me!

The room was exactly as the pictures showed it, the steps up to the tops bunks was a nice change from the usual awkward ladder! The lockers are pretty big, and they are all supplied with their own key!

The pool is not super deep, but still works great to cool down after a long hot day! There is also a nice deck around the one end of the pool making it the perfect place to read and relax.

The hostel is right across from a little mall, and beside a spa and restaurant. It is only a 5 min walk maximum to the main shopping streets in Phuket Town! The Sunday Night Market is well worth the 5 min walk as well if you happen to be there on a Sunday!

Overall, it’s a nice, new and clean hostel with great staff! The pool is another great perk! You can’t go wrong staying here!

Really rad interiors.

I stayed just one night in the 4-Bed Ladies. Bed was great - super comfy, a heap of personal space with a curtain, really cute interior design & super clean .. It was only a stopover for me & was perfect for that but there must have been about 30 school kids that stayed too so while this is a really nice hostel, its probably not a 'travellers' hostel.

Quite possibly, the best hostel I’ve stayed in! The staff is so kind, helpful, and accommodating. From a pre-booking tour of the property to identifying the locations of various Sino-Portuguese buildings in the area - the staff was ready and willing to help. I stayed in a 4 bunk, female dorm. Our room had its own private bathroom with shower in addition to use of the other bathrooms. Bathroom was spotless and came with shampoo, soap, and adjustable water temperature. Huge bunk space (especially ceiling height) makes the space comfortable. Charging outlet & individual lighting within the bunk space as well. Black curtains provide privacy and block out light. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. Loved the comforter & actual REAL pillow, not a clump of filler like in some other places. Clean towel provided each day - bonus! AC worked great in the room too. Large lockers within the room that are big enough to accommodate a large backpack. Light breakfast is available as well - toast, cookies, jam, bananas, coffee, juice, and water. Pool area is a nice space to relax around. Plenty of seating inside too. The location is perfect - minutes to the Old Town main streets (I stayed on Thalang St initially and then relocated to BAB.) Store/shops across the street as well as a night market on certain nights. I would stay again if I return to Phuket.

If you are planing visiting phuket thinkig in beach you should book a hotel near any of the beaches. I didnt know this and booked this hotel which is in the town and from the beach! If you want beach for partying try phantong beach! The breackfast its a missery bread and juice, they shouldnt give nothing at all! We booked because we like hotel with breackfast! If you dont mind this hotel is nice clean! The host were not helpul by Telling us about the cheap busses to the beach they only say taxi taxi

There is a complimentary breakfast served and a coffee machine is available until 15.30. I stayed in a female dorm and was lucky to have a lower bed and did not need to climb high stairs. The Indy market outside (three days a week) was nosiy at night time with live music so earplugs are recommended! The sleeping pod was fantastic but I didn't sleep too well because of the heat and I could not regulate the AC. There is a filter water station in the kitchen. I missed having a rubbish bin in the dorm and I was also a bit surprised (as Phuket town has set a goal to be carbon neutral by 2030) that there were no recycling of plastics even though all guests were provided single use plastic water bottles and cutlery if having brekkie.

Das Hostel ist sehr zentral in Phuket Old Town, freundliche Mitarbeiter.
Pool, der gut sauber gehalten wird
Leider viele Fliegen im Außenbereich die wirklich stören, wenn man in der Sonne liegen möchte und lesen möchte.

Zimmer werden sehr sauber gehalten, meine Leute auf dem Zimmer waren auch sehr angenehm. Man bekommt täglich ein sauberes Handtuch, Wasser und das Bett gemacht das hätte ich in einem Hostel nicht erwartet und ist wirklich top

Die Dusche oder das Badezimmer sollte mal gründlicher geputzt werden, der Duschvorhang zum Beispiel ist verschimmelt und auch die Fliesen könnten mal geputzt werden.
Aus dem Badezimmer riecht es auch nach Schimmel. Das ist das einzige was mich gestört hat.

Man kann sich in der Küche Wasser kochen für Tee und auch Kaffee ist zu bestimmten Zeiten für Gäste kostenfrei.

Tolle Lage wenn man gleich im Geschehen sein möchte! Der Night Markt vor der Tür bietet tolle Essens und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Die Zimmer sind ok, nichts besonderes aber völlig in Ordnung. Kostenlose Snacks, Getränke und tägliche Reinigung im Zimmer. Das Klo hätte jedoch bei Anreise bisschen sauberer sein können haha , war trotzdem nicht dramatisch.

Auf meiner Südostasienreise war was Book a Bed Hostel die komfortableste, schöneste und freundlichste Unterkunft. Ich bekam ein Zimmer in einen vier-Bett Raum für 9€ pro Nacht (inklusive Frühstück). Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut.
Fazit: fuer Backpackers die die Insel Phuket erkunden wollen findet man schwerlich eine bessere Unterkunft.

Hidden gem hostel in Phuket.

I had a great stay! The alternative design and style made this boutique hotel feel very stylish. I loved the look of my room, even though it was on the smaller side. The host were incredibly helpful with arranging taxis and motorbikes even though they are not provided at the hotel itself. This place truly is a hidden gem.

We stayed in a superior room for the last night of our holiday. The hotel is right in the heart of Old Phuket Town and even from the street the hotel is stunning but inside it’s simply beautiful. The refurb that has been completed here has been so well done, the entire hotel has this magical nostalgic feeling. The staff are absolutely first class. If we went back we would stay there in a heartbeat, thank you for a memorable stay BAB book a bed Poshtel Cheer!!
