This hotel was very old, very basic and very expensive for what you got. There was no safe, which was surprising. The location was about a 10 min walk from the old town. The staff were great although there was very little English spoken, if there was something going on in the town, theyd point it put on a map for us. Pool looked nice, sadly didnt get to try it.

Ideal location in central phuket, close to all services & restaurants. Staff very nice & there's a pool.

However, the property needs a BIG refresh.
And the internet is VERY bad. I had to use my hotspot to send a few emails.

So, if you just stay a couple of nights and you don't need internet, that's fine. More than that, i am sure there are plenty of other better options.

Old Thai traditional hotel

Staff were excellent and most friendly and helpful. Hotel is very old with a very small outdated bathroom, no luggage rack, no hairdryer (you must ask for one), no restaurant or bar. Rooms are large and there is a nice e outdoor pool. Location is convenient but this seems more like a 2 star.

Was pleasantly suprised by this hotel and sad it was just for an overnighter.

I picked it because it was cheap and close to Rassada and I had an early ferry to catch, upon check in I immediately regretted not staying at least two nights, the room is lovely, the pool was amazing, location was very walkable and clean and staff were so friendly.

I will definitely be back.

We booked a pool access room which we enjoyed. The trade off is pool cleaners and pool users passing by directly outside the room. We reckoned it was a lot better than having to traipse to the pool.
Staff were great. Room a good size and aircon worked as it should. Short walk to Old Town and to Limelight shopping mall and 7/11.
Plenty of taxis around.

Great Location

The hotel staff is wonderful. The area is quiet. It is really close to a food court, Tops and night market. There is also a nice park. It may be a little older and the mattress is hard, but we would stay there again. Loved it!

The location is great. The staff are very friendly and the pools is super clean and quiet.
The only draw back was my back every morning on that mattress... we left and earlier and received a refund for the rest of our booking.( I would prefer a full refund but partial is better than nothing)

The family suite that we had booked was comfortable and the staff very pleasant and responsive to our needs. Some of the furnishings and equipment was however a bit dated. As we had booked during peak season the prices were exceptionally high even though it seemed the hotel was not full. So my advice to others would be to shop around and not necessarily believe the hotel.com website when it suggests that there are very few rooms available which is a tactic to make you book immediately and pay much higher prices than you need to. Anyway I have learned my lesson!

Best value in Phuket Town

The Mei Zhou Phuket hotel is perfect for a short stay in old town Phuket. It is in a quiet area, surrounded by convenient stores, food courts and local restaurants, and a 10-minute walk to the main old town streets. Check-in process is quick and simple, reception staff (both day and night shifts) is SO friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about \"what to do and see\" and always takes extra steps to take care of you. Wi-fi is fast and stable. The room is big, clean, and comfortable. The only thing we did not try is breakfast so we can't comment on that.

A charming hotel in Phuket Town

Staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times. The pool was very well-kept and had a jacuzzi at one end. Our executive room had a patio door that opened onto the pool-side and we always had the pool to ourselves. The hotel has many delightful features including a large pond of Koi carp and many orchids. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Phuket Town and the limelight shopping mall with many cafes and restaurants. I would certainly return.

Nice hotel but not close to the beach.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Hotel staff were very courteous and polite. Hotel was also close to Phuket town and night market. However beach was far. To go to Patong beach we had to go by taxi. Patong beach was a wonderful place with lot of activity. Lots of beach restaurants, massage parlors and shopping. If you want to spend more time on the beach then it would be a good idea to stay In Patong.

Quiet, convenient property.

This is a wonderful, underrated motel! Checkin was fast, and the staff helpful. The room was large, clean, and the bed felt wonderful. Excellent pool. The property is a short taxi ride to the pier if you are taking the ferry to one of the islands. Located on the outskirts of Old Phuket, you are close to many restaurants, markets, and points of interest. We were so pleased with our initial stay, that we returned to stay again after visiting several islands. Highly recommend this property!

I liked my stay vér much. The room was big and comfortable...wifi good..the pool was a quiet secluded oasis. ..the breakfast was enjoyable
.Don't forget everybody ..we are in Asia..so the menu was: rice soup..ham slices sausage stir fried rice and vegetables
Rce noodles and vegetables toast coffee juice. We enjoyed this breakfast vm
5 min off the city center it was calm and enjoyable..

Clean spacious rooms and very quiet

For my Chinese wife and myself (Australian) this hotel was excellent value for money. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Phuket town and therefore very central to everything. I have been in Phuket many times and this is the best location if you hire transport. Very helpful and friendly staff, I will definitely stay here next time I visit Phuket.

One ninght stay before departing to Krabi

Hotel is simple, breakfast is standard for Thailand, few options of bread, fruits, pasta, rice, chicken. Room is quite confortable although toilet has curtain not closed box in the shower. Location is not very good, it is in Phuket town around 40min from airport and 20min from bus station. Although very helpful, staff don't speak english.

This Hotel though not very popular, was quite centrally located in Phuket, also is away from the beaches but near to the Old Town. Breakfast was simple, sufficient & good, not very lavish. The Staff there were very courteous, always smiling & ever ready to help. Their English speaking skills were appreciably better than what one would find in the town & surroundings.

Decent stopover hotel

not a bad stopover place. it is however a bit far off from the patong area and the airport. However, it is close to the rassada pier from where you can get a ferry to the koh phi phi and krabi islands. so if you are looking as a stopover, this is a decent place, but if you are looking to enjoiy nightlife and the phuket, look for something in patong area.

Quick stop over

We had about 8 hours in Phuket before catching a ferry. The room was perfect and quiet for a quick stay over in phuket. The person working was extremely friendly and helped book us a taxi for early the next morning to the port, especially considering it was middle of night. The place was a good deal and I would stay there again if I return to Phuket.

The hotel has it's certain Chinese charm - which I quite like personally. An item of discomfort was the lack of warm water in the bathroom sink. This made shaving difficult (for an old fashioned guy like me who still uses brush and cream) and hand-washing small items impossible. Service was friendly and smiling. There were 3 breakfast options and you had to let the staff know the day before which one you would like to have :) The room was very clean. The pool was narrow but long and very pleasant to use in the morning and evening, especially since there were not many other guests using it. The hotel is at the edge of the old town, so, quite convenient fro strolling around.

We had a fantastic time here in late March. The beach is beatuiful, and it's easy to find a spot for yourself there, e.g. under the shadow of a tree. Fully recommended.

Very quiet and safe hotel. However would have appreciated a safe in the room as the city is known for its theft problems.
The hotel staff were very helpful and arranged activities that we wanted to see without any hassle and extras tacked on

Spacious room and great large bed - 4th floor with good balcony and view as well as a pool that was pleasant and a nice collection of amenities with flowers. Location was slightly out of the way with a fairly long walk to main shopping center in Phuket town - staff was pleasant but breakfast could have been better. . . excellent quality for the moderate price for this hotel. . . would stay again!

Location is pretty good if you dont want to be in the heart of Phuket City - its quieter here near the outskirts. This isnt budget accomodation, but the rooms are clean, the AC works, and everything is pretty much what you would expect. Nice little pool on the property is a nice touch. The breakfasts were good, but they did mess up the orders - not a big deal if you are on holidays. Also, the crowing rooster next door was a nice tough to remind you where you are.

Would recommend to others, slightly on the higher side of the budget when compared to similar properties, but seems to be a little bit above the rest so probably worth the price.

Bra hotell men lite väl dyrt

Det var ett fint hotell, men vi tyckte att det var lite för dyrt för de vi fick. Ingick ingen frukost och tror inte att det gick att lägga till. Vi förstod inte hur man satte på bubblorna i poolen och löpbandet i gymmet lät för mycket. Var skugga runt hela poolen med.

Das Hotel war gut, denke, das ist der Standard hier. Alles war vorhanden. Immer Kaffee, Tee sowie Snacks in der Lobby (24 h).

Der Service ist besonders hervorzuheben! Alle Mitarbeiter alle sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und extrem freundlich. Man fühlt sich wohl und hat keine Scheu nach zu fragen. Insgesamt war es ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Aber man sollte keinen Luxus erwarten.

Lage ist top. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Der sunday Night market sowie die belebte Gegend Phukets immer gut erreichbar.

Alles in einem war gut!

Angenehmes Hotel in Altstadtnähe

Gut gelegenes Hotel um in ein paar Minuten in die Altstadt zu Fuß zu gelangen.
Etwas zurückgesetzt von der Straße und dadurch fast keine Geräusche.
Netter Poolanlage mit Whirlpoolfunktion.
