The room/hotel generally could do with a spruce up but the room we had was massive, with equally massive bed. All seemed clean and the shower pressure was okay, wasn’t always the hottest and again could do with some modernisation but the staff and location were excellent. Breakfast they order in for you (12 different choices) and bring to room each morning and there’s microwave and kettle in room to.

The hotel looks very elegant, and only when I looked closely did I see anything that showed its age. It’s comfortable and close to Phuket Old Town. They provide many extras that make staying there more enjoyable.

Right choice for Phuket Old Town

We liked to stay away from Patong, so this was the right place: 6min walk to Night Market and local food, 2 min from Limelight Mall and Wed-Thu Indy Market (great food). Most important: across of the stop before end of Orange Bus from/to the Airport (100THB at driver) to stay away of taxi mafia. The 55usd worth every penny for Chrtistmas period. Plenty of space, spotless clean room, comfy bed &pillows, great breakfast in the glass bar, kind staff but limited English. Paid by card with no commission. Back side view is quiet, if they don't start to load a deposit 8am! Like everywhere else less than 4* the vindows have no soundproof. The 50% discount to their Massage Center make it affordable! 1.5H we had best in Asia! Spotless clean & competent staff!

The property has a very Chinese feel, \"Sino\" is on the name. The furniture through out the lobby area and in room are very pleasing to the eyes. There was a welcome drink in the restaurant, there was welcome pastry and snacks in the room. Bottled water was provided. The breakfast was unique with local noodle and dessert delicacies choices. There is a airport shuttle bus that costs only 100 bahts (3usd) across the street by 7 11.
I highly recommend this place.

There are many eateries around the hotel like the food stalls in the morning, Chuan Chim and Khun Jeed Restaurants all within walking distance. There is a 7 Eleven opposite the hotel. If travelling from Phuket Airport to hotel, can take the hourly bus from Domestic Terminal to Phuket town bus terminal and 10 minutes walk to hotel or can take the van shuttle at 150 baht at airport directly to hotel. For return journey to airport, just wait for the hourly P2 yellow bus outside hotel and will take you directly to airport for 100 baht. Don't miss the Phuket Indy Night Market on Wed to Friday, 5 minutes walk from hotel. Can take hourly air-cond shuttle van from bus terminal to Patong Beach at 50 baht

Relaxing stay

This hotel is the perfect relaxing escape but right in the hustle and bustle of Phuket town. Short walk to many of the main sights. The hotel staff were also very accommodating. The WiFi was great, clean room, nice mini bar included (water, coke, sprite, peanuts, chips), cold A/C.

It was great once we understood the politics there.
The hotel services to help the guest in information of what’s near the hotel and local shopping and sights near the hotel was comprised! Why? Because they sell the same tours at higher prices than local area and other services . So this prevents them from giving us information that would help us to enjoy the local sights near the hotel.They had to make sure we didn’t get to see the other tour selling sites so they suggested us to other areas far away from local area .We do understand that the employees who were really nice had no choice as they are probably required to follow the rules.
The hotel main service should never be compromised. It is a disservice to the guests in my opinion

The check in experience and staff on arrival was excellent. But unfortunately the breakfast staff the next morning was unpleasant. Also we were told on check in that if we needed extra water to just ask at front desk. When we did this the next morning we were told that the number of bottles given wad it!! First time I actually accounted this refusal for more drinking water at sny hotel!!

Nice Hotel NOT closed to the beach

The Hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly.
The aerea where the hotel is located is without meter-Taxi.it is impossible to get a fair deal Scooter taxis in abundance but VERY dangerous.
Patong bay(Beach ) and Bangla Road are about 15 km away,on the opposite side of the Island.So is Bangla Road.

Hotel is quite nice but doesn't offer much.

There is no help to take your bags. So be prepared to carry your own luggage. No Trollies to haul your luggage with. The ladies at the front desk knew very little English. The restaurant staff were not very pleasant and the food was not very good. The room in the hotel was very nice though.

Very quirky hotel ideally placed a short walk to the old city walls. Rooms are small but for what you pay they are great. Beds big and comfy, rooms cleaned every day with a becent size shower. A very welcome small pool at the back of the hotel which after the heat of the day is most welcoming.

Nice hotel close to Phuket Town

Our second extended stay at this hotel. This visit my wife had a medical incident requiring ambulance transport to hospital. The room cleaning staff, reception staff and management staff immediately came to our aid and made it all happen. Can’t thank them enough. Will always stay at Sino House Hotel.

Pros:
Design of room is nice, room is big, clean.
Very friendly staff.
Free minibar is a plus.
Don't miss the Spa, hotel guests get 50% off which make the spa package so cheap but they're not sacrificing service, it's so relaxing!

Cons:
No view (but no traffic noise either as our room faces the backyard)
Room door is not sound proof, staff started to vacuum and fix the ceiling in the corridor at around 9am, and it sounds like next to you.

We booked this hotel to be in Phuket Town, rather than at one of the beach resorts. The town was fun (if you happen to be in town on a Sunday evening, make sure you visit the Sunday Market), but the hotel was a let-down. In fairness, the room was large, we were supplied with plenty of free water and soft drinks, and the price was very low. But the hotel fronts on a main street and the traffic noise was disruptive, all night every night, especially the motorcycles. The evening staff spoke English well enough, but the clerk who worked mornings spoke very little English, which was a problem for getting directions and arranging a cab. Helping us select tours, let alone booking tours for us, was a service they didn't offer, which is a serious downside for a tourist hotel. The included breakfast is at a restaurant next door, where the service is lackadaisical and the buffet is limited. There were minor annoyances, like charging us 100 Baht for an extra towel, and the wood bed platform that stuck out six inches from the mattress, creating a night-time hazard to the shins. If we go back, we'll stay at a resort hotel and take a cab into town.

A clean 3 * hotel, with friendly staff, and a good location the rooms are clean if a little tired and in need of some fresh paint, breakfast was limited with the choices of food,the laundry service was very good dropped off before 10.00am and returned to the room by 8.00pm the same day very good value and service.if you are looking for a good value no frills hotel, then this one is worth considering.

Nice and clean hotel in Phuket Town

Very central location in phuket town for airport bus as well as other island excursion tour pick ups. Breakfast included was very nice. The room size as well as bed was amazing. Clean and well maintained. Complimentary water and soft drinks included. Would definitely stay again when in Phuket.

Definitively worth the money and also situated in a convenient location from the the provincial court in Phuket.

Walking distance to and from Phuket Bus Station, for those who would like to take the Orange Airport Shuttle Buses,100THB/Person Airport - Phuket Town

The hotel had a clear colonial style to it, very nice!

The hotel-room was spacious and clean.

The Breakfast buffet was good with a small range of both Western and Asian food in a very nice restaurant layout.

This hotel served my purpose well. Rooms were clean, bathroom large with fast wifi and good water pressure. Ac worked well in the hot climate here so surely a bonus. Check in was smooth but at times it seemed the staff was unorganized in how they handled other items such as renting scooters. The breakfast, for 200 baht extra, was served right next door and was quite filling and varied. They will make omlets for you but the staff at breakfast did not speak much if any English.

Overall a very decent hotel that I would visit again if in the area.

We booked the Shanghai room. What we were given was not that good, but bearable ! Few days later, the air conditioner broken (leaks). We were moved to another room which was way better. Since then, it'd been a nice stay :- )) not long after we know that the 2nd room is also Shanghai room ! the condition of the two room is quite different ! It'll be good if the owner doing some renovation on the one which runs down.

Nice hotel - very cheap and great\namenities

My group: 4 NYC 30somethings visiting Thailand for the first time.

We used this hotel as a stopover in Phuket en route to Krabi. Stayed here 4 nights. Everything was nice!

Pros:
- friendly and knowledgeable staff, we booked a phang nga bay tour right from the front desk (and even negotiated the price a little).
- clean spacious rooms
- very cheap cost
- nice amenities (everything in minibar free)
- wifi worked well
- had an amazing onsite spa / massage place

Cons:
- location - if you want to go out at night and see stuff, particularly in patong, you have to take a taxi across town, which takes 30-40 minutes. We knew and expected this, so it wasn't a big deal for us.
Onsite food - kinda sucked, eat elsewhere, honestly.

Bottom line - stay here if you want a cheap, clean, safe place in Phuket, but it's not in the young party area so be prepared to travel a bit for that.

Special tip; the lobby koi fish are hilarious, and HUNGRY in the morning. They almost jump out of the water to get food from you.

First night we arrived we we're in a suite that faced the road, come night time it was incredibly noisy with all the motorbikes going by, asked to change room but we were unable to that night, so it was a tough nights sleep, they did however have a suite ready for 10am the next day which was much quieter and a very pleasant room overlooking the spa.

The hotel was comfy for a 3-star. The issue is that very, very few of the staff understand English, so if you can control your your frustration, enjoy. The hotel is also far from most activities, so be prepared to spend a bit on the local taxi service. Staff try their utmost to look after the guests. The hotel is an older concrete building, but the room was large and clean and reasonably well maintained. It's a little away from the old town, about 5-10 minute walk, but is close to the new Limelight shopping mall and market. The room has a laptop safe and the staff were helpful.

Perfect location for visiting family.

I booked this hotel for my family, who were visiting me in Phuket Town, because it is right across the street from my apartment. They were very comfortable,they enjoyed the breakfasts, and the location was perfect (right on the edge of Old Town). There was a bit of a problem with taxi drivers getting lost, because there are two Sino Houses, but it always worked out and ended up being part of the fun. The only complaint is that when my family extended their stay, they didn't get the same rate they paid through hotels.com - it was quite a bit more expensive. So they decided to move to another hotel, but that was okay ... they saw one more beach.

Not good location if looking for halal food option

We stayed in Sino Hotel - Deluxe Room (Beijing) on 5 Jan 2015 with 1 year old daughter. The hotel entrance is very nice and rooms were very clean and had nice ambiance. We were very pleased with the facilities in the room. The location is not good as there is no food stalls and we could not find any halal food near by. Hotel staff did not understand when we asked if there is any Halal / Muslim food available nearby which was disappointing.

Only when we walked for 2 KM near Family Mart one Muslim local girl helped to get food for us from some market which was further away.

Also I would not recommend you to change currency in this area as there are only banks available with very low exchange rate.

Overall stay was good.

Conveniently located stopover from evening flight arrival for our early morning ferry departure to Phi Phi from Rassada Pier 10 min drive away. Cute glass house where we had breakfast before transfer shuttle arrived. Bed was a little hard but otherwise it was fine.

This was our 3rd hotels in Phuket, including Rawaii, Phi Phi Island, and Phuket Town. It was amazingly wonderful and well accommodated.

I walked in at 11am after a long boat trip from Phi Phi Island & we didn't expect to be able to check in that early. But somehow they accommodated us with early checking without any extra charge.

The room was large, clean, and wonderful. We could not ask for a better deal. The staff were very helpful & helped find everything that we wanted to see.

There also a coffee shop right next door that allowed you to rent out motorcycle for a decent price & served a wonderful simple meal.

The location was also great for Phuket town. It was couple minutes from the main town and TrickEye Museum. There were also many resturant, market, beach, and hill side near by.

This hotel was a great experience for us. We highly recommend it & will stay there again.

This hotel was great. It was clean, the rooms were large, and the staff very friendly and helpful. There was WiFi in the room for free and the minibar items were available for free as well. The breakfast on the top floor had great variety and a great view of the city below. It is in the middle of Phuket town but it was exactly the location we needed to be close to the pier for leaving on the ferry the next day. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel itself is clean, safe, comfortable and conveniently located.
The front desk staff should learn how to add up the bills accurately for clients at check out time.
The massage place next to the hotel, offering 50% for hotel clients is unprofessional. With 50% off, a Thai massage there costs the same if not more than any other massage places in town. I was treated like a 2nd or 3rd class client by the staff just because I was only interested in a simple Thai massage.
The motorbike rental on the hotel premise is NOT insured and do not check if clients have motorcycle licenses before renting out their bikes. The manger/owner is rude and dishonest.
Additional cost for late night rides should be posted.

Clean Comfortable Hotel in Phuket Town

Unless you are expecting 5 star hotel standard, I strongly recommend Sino-House if you plan to stay in Phuket town area. My family booked two rooms and both were very clean and well maintained - 3+ to 4 star standard. Each room was also spacious and the mineral water/soda are freeflow from the minibar. Location wise it is also ok, eg within walking distance to Robinson shopping cetnre (15-20 mins walk). The only areas of improvement are one of the rooms was not able to sustain a permanent internet connection as it is located furthest from the internet repeater. Also if you are the type who needs absolute silence to sleep, the humming from the aircons may be a problem., Overall, a really great place to stay and would definitely return for subsequent visits.
