We arrived at the hotel early and they did allow us to park the vehicle in one of the 4 parking spots that the hotel provides. They did not allow us to check in early. At 3 when we did get checked in, the first room had a host of problems including doors that didn't lock, ceiling fans that only worked on high speed, a refrigerator that didn't work and the list goes on. We had to fight the front staff to get moved to a different room, because they kept telling us once you have entered a room, it is yours. We finally got moved to a second room after approximately 30 minutes of arguing with the staff. The second room was on the 3rd floor with no elevators. There was no supplies in the kitchen, but we were greeted by one of Mexico's finest cockroaches. Around 9:30 p.m. they showed up with 2 plates, 2 bowls and 2 coffee cups, no silverware. There is not a coffee maker, stove or anything else in the kitchen, so no idea why they bothered. Would recommend staying anywhere else besides here.

Great stay at this hotel.
It is one block from the beach and right beside an OXXO that has great coffee for $27pesos
The hotel staff were all very friendly.
My room included a large refrigerator but no other kitchen appliances. This property is a block from the malecón and walking distance to a local market/food court and the Chedraui

I asked for 1 night refund and was told to speak with Expedia by property Management named Cielo. When asked she said I had to speak with Expedia.
Then Cielo claimed I ruined her sheets with a red stain I didn’t
She told me she wanted 250 prsos to clean the sheets and then she would submit my request to Expedia!
Staff at the desk were unfriendly and not accommodating.
Cockroaches iin my room I have photos…
No restaurant or laundry as advertised on the Expedia site.
Never did get my refund!
I stayed for a month would not recommend booking with Rxpedia or staying in this hotel.
They are liars.

The property is close to the malecón whoch is great for activities & eating.
The suite we booked online said “kitchenette”, but only had a good size fridge & a kitchen sink but no stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker & not a single dish, cup, glass or utensil available & hard wood chairs to sit on. We could not get any English on the tv & staff did not help when asked. Cleaning staff were great!!

Close to beach, everything you’ll need. Does not have beach view, or restaurant or bar that’s open. We had a junior suite, very spacious with patio but only a table, chairs and futon in kitchen/dining. Nothing is suppled in kitchen so not very useful that way (only a fridge, counter, sink). Otherwise staff was nice and bed was comfy.

A solid choice for “budget” accommodation in Progreso. Everything is expensive in Progreso. Decent location, quiet at night.

Rooms are clean, plain, comfy beds, tv if you want it. New efficient aircon & a ceiling fan. One of the best wifi services we’ve had anywhere. Nice, small pool although we didn’t use it, no loungers. Daily housekeeping.

Bathroom could do with an upgrade: Luke warm water, tap in the sink a bit useless, rusty shower curtain.

Please provide a water cooler so we don’t keep buying single use plastic bottles!

What to say, firstly staff on arrival were excellent, could not be better. A one star rating for following reasons. Door to room has no deadbolt, only a house passage lock, I opened it without key to show wife how bad it was. No glasses in the suite, yes suite, when I asked for two the answer was no. The shower drain sounds like running water whenever, I assume suite above, flushed. The bathroom smelt every time someone in suite above flushed. The window in bathroom has no screen so dare not leave it open for bugs. The window from hall into room did not have a functioning lock, not that it mattered as door to room didn’t either. One small, thin blanket that might actually have been a table cloth. We were cold at night. The pigeons nesting/living beside bedroom window were noisy, noise, noisy. Even in the night. This was not a hotel I would recommend to anyone who wants to sleep or leave belongings in while out of room. There is more but that should do.

Nice, inexpensive hotel near the beach

The location of this hotel is great, one block away from the beach, across the street from the Meteorite museum, and half a block from a 24/7 convenience store. The hotel is perfect for a short vacation where you are looking for value for your money. The parking at the rear of the hotel is small but convenient. Beware that there is no food offered at all.

The only plus is it’s across the street from the beach & beach front restaurants.
The doors do not lock from inside so any staff with a key can enter your room at anytime, the balcony did not lock and is climbable. The living room area has no TV, the refrigerator is old & rusty, the sink had rust. The front desk guy was extremely rude. The parking garage they lock you in so you cannot move freely you have to wait for someone to unlock the padlocked gate to get in & out. The pool was not clean.This was only time in the Merida area that I did not feel safe at all. We didn’t stay the night. We decided to leave after dinner & went back to our house.

If you only need a place to sleep this place is great , location is perfect and quiet , the place is a little run down it needs some maintenance, water leaks and some problems with the tv but besides that is a good place , it has AC and comfortable beds, it does not offer transfer from the airport and they do not have breakfast like it says on Expedia so just keep that on mind. Great costumer service and helpful staff .

In my opinion, this property should not be represented by Expedia as it far from what a Canadian or American would deem even sufficient. This property is very old and although they have renovated (improved greatly) some of the rooms, apparently the ones they give to Expedia customers are not. We were supposed to have two ocean-view 1-bedroom suites with king bed, kitchenette and an extra cot for a child in each room. You cannot imagine how disappointed we were to be advised by he reception upon arrival that they do not have any cots for the children and then to find out that the 'kitchenette' consisted of a fridge and a sink (no dishes, cutlery, pans, stove or microwave). Further, the bed in our room was made of cement with a thin mattress on top, and none of the couches were big enough for even a child to sleep on. After a great deal of begging and pressure, they changed the mattress in our room, brought us a 2-burner hotplate, 1 pot, 1 pan, and a few dishes and cutlery. However, in order to accommodate the 2 children, our friends (who had the second room) had to move to another room (that was not ocean-view as we had paid for) which had 1 double and 1 single bed, and a couch big enough for the second child to sleep on. The staff was not happy to move them to this new room because it had been 'renovated' (and thus was considerably nicer) and so was 'more expensive' (despite not being ocean-view) and was not an 'Expedia' room.

Not worth the cost savings

This is really a budet hotel. We went down to spend days with friends who had traveled in from the U.S. The room, a junior suite, had only 2 towels, no glasses or cups anywhere. I had to go down to the desk to ask for cups. Tha air conditioning in the bedroom was moderately cool, and there were no fans anywhere, no bedside lamps either. Just one flourescent light in the middle of each room. We won't go back...

There has to be beter for this price in Progresso

The hotel was under construction so there was plaster etc all over. The desk clerk, Issac, told us we could get an ocean view for 320 pesos extra so we took it. After they charged my credit card he told us the air conditioner was out in the room so we would have to go back to the original room. We said fine, just remove the extra 320 pesos. He said he didn't know how. The manager came by and told him not to refund the money. After I had a fit Issac said if he gives us the refund this boss was going to take it out of his pay. Whether this was true or not, anytime a hotel does this kind of business I think it is best to avoid at all costs. We got the refund.
We booked a room with a view of the courtyard. Our view was of a cement wall. The bed was as hard as rock. There were no electrical outlets to plug in the laptop or recharge the phones unless you unplugged the lamp. There were no outlets in the bathroom at all.
However, the location is great.

This property shouldn’t be available through Expedia. This is worse than a hostel. So bad. I left immediately in the morning and happily rented a place in Mérida and Took ubers to Profresso. It’s So bad I Didn’t sleep under the covers and put a table up against the door for safety. Toilets broken, tv didn’t work, everything was aweful. Just don’t stay here.

The hotel was under renovation, which was not explained to us before we got there by hotels.ca. Lots of banging and the smell of solvents and other chemicals made it impossible to use the pool area.... or hang out at all during the day. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially Isaac, who spoke very good English.

The hotel is under going Reno’s and will be very nice when it’s finished. The staff is friendly especially Isaac who has much more English than we had Spanish, also our cleaning lady Marie tried very hard to understand us and kept room clean. The kitchen was very ill equipped. Nothing was stocked and we had to buy a few things on our own like dish soap and dish clothes knife can opener but overall we enjoyed our stay. It is close to the beach just across the little park. Every morning, mon-fri at 7:00 in the morning and again at six in evening they have free Zumba in the park, what a hoot, loved it thumbs up

Very welcoming from the start and made check in easy and any questions were answered as best we could with an excellent desk clerk with a combination of our broken Spanish and their broken English. Continuous problems with wifi signal reliability (which was important as we were trying to conduct some important business). Our rooms' A/C unit malfunctioned and we were given a different room but smaller. Lower floor renovations started after the 3rd day we were there and made lounging at pool or in our room very noisy. A less than pleasant experience but the staff were very friendly and understanding when we decided to check out early. One major plus was the beach front location was within easy walking distance to great restaurants, sun, surf and street vendors to add lots to do

Not the Ritz but OK for the Money!

Staff is friendly. Issac was very helpful. After checking in to my 3rd floor walk-up \"courtyard\" room (with a view of a stucco wall 10' away) I discovered the AC did not work. Issac put me in a 4th floor room that was adequate. Next day he moved me to a 2nd floor pool room which was much better. No room service the next day...seems that you have to leave your key and request that. Got room service the next day and the rest of the stay was fine. Pool is nice and the location is good but not directly overlooking the beach. To be honest I have stayed there before and always found it adequate. Plenty of secure parking and the water is hot with pretty good pressure...not that common in Progreso. We are staying there again for a week at the end of the month so it can't be all bad. It's not the Ritz but it's well located and clean and the staff are nice. Breakfast is available for a nominal sum also. Didn't partake because I don't eat breakfast.

Worst Experience Ever

During our stay we have experienced terrible things:

a. Upon returning from Merida at 1 AM we surprisingly found out that a padlock was placed on the main door and we were locked out. Nobody informed us of having to return at a certain time. NOBODY was at the reception. We had to call the police for assistance, after 3 minutes of ringing the door bell and calling the office a sleepy security guard showed up to open up the door. Needless to say even the police was shocked to see that the main exit door was locked preventing other people from evacuating the hotel in the event of an emergency.

b. The water was cutoff completely 3 times during our stay. A faulty water pump was their answer

c. No lamp was provided on the night table

d. Blankets extremely short and cover only half your body

El hotel se encontraba en remodelación pero la plataforma no aviso de ninguna manera.
Se encuentra justo a una calle de la playa, lo que hace conveniente que, para llegar a la playa, solo tengas que cruzar la calle.
Tiene estacionamiento pero solo pocos lugares.
Las habitaciones se encuentran en buen estado y la limpieza fué buena.

La estancia fue regular. El lugar tiene una buena ubicación, sin embargo, la atención del personal dejó mucho que desear, ya que en varios momentos percibí un mal trato. Uno de los principales motivos por los que hice la reservación fue por el estacionamiento, pero al llegar me informaron que no había espacio disponible, lo cual resultó bastante incómodo. Además, la cama era poco confortable y el ruido proveniente del área de la alberca hacía difícil descansar. Sería importante que mejoraran la atención al cliente, la disponibilidad real del estacionamiento y el confort de las habitaciones para ofrecer una mejor experiencia a los huéspedes.

El mejor hotel de Progreso

Definitivamente el mejor hotel de Progreso, todos fueron súper amables y serviciales, desde los recepcionistas, las de la cocina, mantenimiento, etc. La comida estaba riquísima y además el restaurante está bonito. La habitación estaba muy amplia y con todo lo necesario. Buena seguridad y muy buena ubicación.
Definitivamente me hospedaría de nuevo ahí.

A pesar de que alrededor hay música y ruido en la habitación no permeaba nada por lo que es fácil descansar.

Me dieron una habitacion en un rincon solo habia dos ahi, ademas d k no tenia pasador o gancho la puerta, m senti insegura, las ventanas tres daban a azoteas y paredes, ademas no s si yo cometi un error solicite dos noches y no m percate con las prisas k esraba solo una noche, d3cidi cambiarme d hotel pir mi cuenta.

Bonito, limpio y casi a pie de playa, la única queja es que una de las camas estaba muy dura.

En general al hotel le falta mantenimiento, la habitación se sentía sucia, con mucho olor a humedad como si hubieran limpiado con un trapo con mal olor

A una cuadra de la playa, muy accesible para todos…. El estacionamiento tiene lugar solo para pocos carros; el cuarto muy limpio y amplio, pero no tienen servicio de toallas para playa ni piscina. Buen servicio en general.
